  1. D- AirRig GoodBrandSun as my skipped pick.
  2. 1. A nice group of players. I think we mostly took BPA, which is always a good pick. 2. A mix between Saku Koivu and Jesperi Kotkaniemi. 3. Same as any other one for me. Just a waiting game until I get some more games. 4. Tall, I think. 5. Probably music. A rapper or singer or something. Overall, they make more money and there's more down time if you want it. Athlete is a good choice too. I'd love to play hockey as a career. 6. Growing up I wanted to be a lawyer. That's just when I was a kid though.
  3. D- Rolf Fizzlebeef Jr. @Daniel Janser
  4. I guess I will pick myself. F- Saku Kotkakoivu @Daniel Janser
  5. Thanks to all who voted for me! NIce to bring home some hardware. Now let's look ahead towards that cup, Wranglers! Congrats to everyone on their awards and to the runner ups.

Any sleeper picks in the S84 Draft that you think will do better than where they were picked? 5. Any Free Agents that you would be excited to pick up? 6. Who do you think will make the biggest splash in FA?
  7. Some Questions: 1. Which one of our prospects are you most excited about? 2. What spot do you see us landing in the standings next season? 3. How much of a hole has Phil left? Will the Wranglers be able to fill it? 4. Your thoughts on another Continental Cup for Seattle? 5. Who's your pick for MVP of the VHL Playoffs? 6. How excited are you from 1-10 about next season?
  8. Down 2-0 in the Semi-Finals, the Calgary Wranglers had a big hill to climb against the Toronto Legion. This was a Legion team that only had 5 more wins than Calgary in the regular season, so the possibility of a comeback was definitely there. The first 2 games of the series were close, so despite being down 2-0, the Calgary Wranglers had hope. Game 3: Toronto Legion vs. Calgary Wranglers In Game 3, this one got started off early as the Legion took a lead. 57 seconds into the game, Matty Fire scored his 3rd of the playoffs, with assists going to Jakub Brozik and Sting Chameleon. Shortly afterwards, the Wranglers were given an opportunity as Toronto's Jannik Nylen took a diving penalty. At 2:14 of the period, Daniel Janser scored a PP goal to even this game up 1-1. Shane Lazeski had the only assist. Shots in the 1st Period were 13-12 in favour of Calgary, and the score stayed 1-1. The 2nd Period was a quiet one, although the Wranglers took a couple of penalties. Saku Kotkakoivu had an early high sticking call, and Bob Beach had a double minor in the first half of the period, but lucky for Calgary the Toronto Legion didn't extend their lead. 1-1 heading into the 3rd. 40 seconds into the 3rd Period, Saku Kotkakoivu took a hooking penalty and sent Toronto back to the PP. This time, the Legion would capitalize as Jannik Nylen scored 56 seconds into the period. Assists went to Cadmael Ixazaluoh and Weenuk Warrior. Both teams would then swap a couple of penalties each as the game wound down, but the Calgary Wranglers were unable to tie this game back up, and the score ended 2-1 for Toronto. Legion goaltender Oskar Lindbergh saved 28 of 29 and the Legion had a 3-0 stranglehold on the series. Calgary's Ben Dahl was no slouch either, saving 33 of 35 in a losing effort. Game 4: Toronto Legion vs. Calgary Wranglers Down 3-0 in the series, this was do or die for the Calgary Wranglers. Just like the first game, the Toronto Legion scored early in this one. Kyle Peace scored 39 seconds into the game, giving Toronto a 1-0 lead. Calgary would then kill off a penalty later in the period, but the 1st was pretty uneventful, with shots being 8 to 8. In the 2nd Period, Calgary was looking for an answer, but multiple penalties took away any momentum they had. Phil The Rock Johnson took a couple of early penalties that were killed off, and Calgary was given a chance on the PP themselves late in the period, but they were unsuccessful. Shots were 9 to 7 for Calgary, but the score remained 1-0 heading into the 3rd. Down 1-0 with their season on the line, the Wranglers were looking for a goal, and they got just that. At 11:59 of the 3rd Period, with only 8:01 left in the game, Daniel Janser scored his 2nd of the post-season, and this game was all tied up. Assists went to Shane Lazeski and James glove dropper. Unfortunately for Calgary, the Toronto Legion would respond quickly. Only a minute later at 13:00, Armani Calamari scored his first of the playoffs, giving Toronto a 2-1, and that lead held until the end of the game. Another 2-1 victory for the Toronto Legion, and a 4-0 sweep of the Calgary Wranglers. Toronto goaltender Oskar Lindbergh was the 1st Star of the Game once again, saving 26 of 27. A 4-0 sweep after an exciting run into the playoffs for Calgary is quite disappointing, but they have a lot to be proud of and a bright future ahead of them.
  9. 1. Just making the playoffs, and not even the wild card! We got an official spot! We surprised many people with the roll we went on. 2. To repeat the production I put up, and make the playoffs again. 3. The Wranglers have a storied history in this league, and I've had multiple players on the team. It's a great organization. 4. Graphics, probably. 5. Lake activities! Wake boarding, wake surfing, swimming, kayaking, etc. 6. Burgers!!
  10. Not sure how I'll be able to celebrate by taking shots. I'll miss those too and make a mess.
  11. This one goes out to my Wranglers family. Glad to captain a team such as ours, and especially on our amazing run to get to the playoffs this season and surprise everyone! Thanks to Ricer for bringing me on to this team originally, and to all my teammates past, current, and future! @Ricer13@Rhynex Entertainment@Big Bob@Daniel Janser@Lazarus@Jamomayo@Phil@Ben@efiug and all the prospects on the way up!
  12. 1. No. We are a very capable team. All we need is consistency. 2. For sure. If we can go on a roll, we can take it all. 3. Phil is Phil. Always remembered as an elite player. PTRJ is a hitting machine too. 4. Nonstop in the gym. 5. Win cups and have a player who's not a liability. 6. Movies like Interstellar, Arrival, and Annihilation.
  13. 1. We've been on a roll! What a run it's been in this second half the season. Great to see. Let's see what we can do in the playoffs. 2. Get my scoring up as high as I can. 3. Like Kotkaniemi. 4. Worst on the best team! It's all about cups, baby. 5. I haven't played a lot of phone games recently. Probably Wordle, even though it's just a website and not an actual app. They have apps that copy it though. 6. Love it. I probably don't vibe to it as much as I did with DAMN or TPAB, but it's a very solid album.
  14. In what might come as a surprise to some, the Calgary Wranglers currently find themselves 4th in the North American Conference, and only 4 points out of 3rd. Captain Saku Kotkakoivu leads the league in points with 93 points in 54 games, and is tied for 2nd with 43 goals. There are a lot of positives on this Calgary team this season, and Saku is leading the charge. Let's take a look at their past couple of games. Los Angeles Stars vs. Calgary Wranglers With the Stars being one of the bottom feeders of the league, this is a game that Calgary was expected to win, and they did just that. In the 1st Period, Calgary got off to a good start when Phil The Rock Johnson opened the scoring at 4:16 with his 33rd goal of the season. Later in the period, LA's Deagun Rust would take a penalty and send the Calgary Wranglers to the powerplay. Saku Kotkakoivu would make sure to capitalize on that chance by scoring his 41st of the season, with assists going to AirRig GoodBrandSun and Phil The Rock Johnson. The Wranglers would hold that 2-0 lead into the next period. In the 2nd Period, it was Wranglers dominance as they outshot the LA Stars 19-8. Stars goalie Tater Tot had a hell of a period, but Shane Lazeski was able to triple the Wranglers' lead with his 25th of the season, putting the Wranglers up 3-0. In the 3rd Period, Calgary's Bob Beach would take an early penalty and Los Angeles would take advantage. 2 minutes into the period, Nic McMuffin scored his 20th of the season with a PP marker, cutting Calgary's lead to 3-1. However, only a couple minutes later, AirRig GoodBrandSun restored the 3 goal lead when he scored his 9th of the season at 4:38, giving Calgary the 4-1 lead. That 4-1 score would hold until the end of the game for a Wranglers win. Tater Tot saved 43 of 47 for LA, and Ben Dahl saved 33 of 34 for Calgary, being one of Calgary's stars. Calgary Wranglers vs. Vancouver Wolves This was another game that Calgary should win, but them and Vancouver aren't so far apart in the standings, so it could be a battle. In the 1st Period, Calgary outshot Vancouver 9-5, but both goaltenders shut the door. The 2nd Period was a bit back and forth where Calgary once again outshot Vancouver, this time 13-8. The Vancouver Wolves were able to score the only goal of the period at 14:29 when Kakapo Bushtit scored his 23rd of the season, putting Vancouver up 1-0. In the 3rd Period, the story changed. 2:06 into the period, captain Saku Kotkakoivu scored for the Wranglers and tied this one up 1-1. Vancouver's Robin Galante Nilsson was then quick to respond when he scored at 5:49, getting his 11th of the season and restoring Vancouver's lead. But under a minute later at 6:29, Saku Kotkakoivu scored once again, tying this one up at 2-2. Play would go back and forth, but with under 5 minutes to go, Shane Lazeski gave Calgary the go-ahead goal and eventual winner, and the Wranglers took this one 3-2.
  15. 1. I'm the Head of PT Staff and have been for years. Not sure when/if I'll ever step down. It's basically just a part of my life now. 2. Offense, because that's how most of us are judging our players in the sim. The dudes with the goals and points get all the awards, for the most part. 3. Kotkakoivu is only 2 points back of 1st in the league. Not sure how we got here but it's been very exciting for our players offensively this season. 4. Florida. They've had some great teams over the years and the franchise deserves a cup. Either that or Canada. I wouldn't mind seeing Edmonton or Calgary take it home. Toronto just lost again in Game 7 in round 1, so I can't say them anymore. 5. Milwaukee. Love Giannis. 6. Hockey. I just love playing and watching hockey.
  16. Sometimes you just gotta leave it and not earn 12. It's not a big deal in the long run for a user as active as yourself. I've done it plenty of times. In fact, I fucked up a trivia this week and I'm fine with earning 11/12. I don't feel like doing a VHL.com.
  17. In this article, I'll be taking a look at a couple of recent games for the Calgary Wranglers. Not a favourite for the cup by any means, but this Wranglers team can win against anyone in the league on a good night. They have firepower, and their goalie can stand on his head on occasion. They definitely have a future to look forward to. Calgary Wranglers vs. Los Angeles Stars This game was a bout between 2 teams that are not contenders. The Stars are bottom dwellers, and the Wranglers are near the bottom but have a chance to snag a wild card spot if they get on a roll. In the 1st Period, the Wranglers outplayed LA by outshooting them 17-9, but it was the Stars who came away with the lone goal of the period. Los Angeles' Magnus Verlander scored his 15th goal of the season at 7:48 of the period, and that 1-0 lead would hold until the 2nd. In the 2nd Period, just 48 seconds in, Calgary's player Bob Beach would tie the game up 1-1 with his 4th of the season on a pass from Saku Kotkakoivu and Shane Lazeski. Just 20 seconds later, LA would retake the lead off a goal from Nic McMuffin, who scored his 16th of the season. Although halfway through the period, veteran Phil The Rock Johnson scored his 19th of the season and tied this one at 2-2. Calgary outshot LA 23-12 in the period and lucky for them, it resulted in at least a tie. LA's Tater Tot was standing on his head in this game. In the 3rd period, in would be more controlled play by the Wranglers, and Saku Kotkakoivu would give his team a 3-2 lead with his 25th of the season. Unfortunately for the Calgary Wranglers, LA's Nic McMuffin would score his 2nd of the game and 17th of the season with just 12 seconds left in the game, and this game was tied up 3-3 heading to OT. At 4:09 of OT, veteran Phil The Rock Johnson made sure this game was Calgary's by scoring his 20th of the season, and securing the 4-3 OT win for the Wranglers. Saku Kotkakoivu's 3 points was somehow the 1st star of the game. I don't know what the arena was smoking, but Tater Tot saved 59 of 63 shots and was not a star of the game. He was definitely the story of the game as LA was outshot 63-31 and got a point out of it. Calgary Wranglers vs. Seattle Bears In this game it was the top seeded 33-6-1 Seattle Bears facing off against Calgary. In the 1st Period, Calgary outshot Seattle 12-9 and captain Saku Kotkakoivu would score the only goal of the frame with his 26th of the season. Calgary took a 1-0 lead into the 2nd Period. In the 2nd, the Seattle Bears outshot Calgary 16-7, but Calgary's Ben Dahl would hold the door shut throughout the period as no goals were scored. In the 3rd Period, Seattle's Maximus Decimus Meridius scored his 8th of the season and didn't have to do it in a coliseum in a fight to the death. This goal came at 18:51 after Seattle was outplaying Calgary with 11-5 shots. Ben Dahl tried his best to stand on his head but Seattle tied the game with 1:09 remaining. The Seattle Bears' Zeedayno Chara scored the shootout winner and they would run away with this one. Ben Dahl saved 39 of 40 and was the story of the game, almost shutting out the Bears and stealing this one.
  18. 1. I mean, if they are good at recruiting then I'm happy. 2. Nope! Just get out there and perform. 3. I think I"ll like to see a full season and see what each player's attributes were and determine from there. But it doesn't look like it's changed much. 4. If we play no build mode, then probably. 5. Salsa for sure. I haven't been a big guac guy. 6. I'm not sure. I guess outside the big main ones, I do enjoy watching my niece's softball games.
