A few weeks later it's back! I'm home from my vacation where I went to see my parents for a few weeks, had a great time. People messaged asking if I went inactive, but truth is that I didn't wanna spend time on my laptop if it's the one time a year I get to see my family. But I came back and applied for a VHLM job....and got it! I was able to return to the Halifax 21st to go back to where it all began for me. For those unaware, I helped put a team in Halifax and was the inaugural GM before moving up to the big-boy league. I've always though of HFX as my baby, so I want to see them win a cup every season, unfortunately that has yet to be the case. Actually in my GM interview, I ended saying that I won't be satisfied with my time in the VHL until I win a cup with Halifax, so you best fuckin believe that's my sole goal right now.

1. I was weird man, but I had a better head on my shoulders than when I was like 17, god that was a cringey time in my life 2. Flaming bull award so everyone else knows how good I am 3. Pot brownies 4. Flying home for my 19th, my midnight flight delayed so I missed my connection and had to rebook. I spent my 19th bday sleeping on the floor in the seattle airport. It's a story a lot of us know, and wish we could forget. I took over Davos in S64 after a wildly successful two season at the helm of Halifax. Everything started off so well too, I was gifted the second overall pick in that draft and would take Nykonax with that pick, meaning I'd be starting with a high draft pick in my first season. Also on that team was Ahma, a saint of a person who despite my incompetence at times, genuinely wanted to play for Davos with all of his players. That first season went rough, but I'd earn 2nd overall again and draft Smitty Werbenjagermanjensen, meaning we had a true #1 forward and a true #1 dman. Everything was on the up for Davos, I had finally turned the team into a FA destination after being a laughing stock for season. It was really nice being in the playoff hunt, and attracting popular members with big name players. We didn't have many more high picks after that, I focused my effort instead on trading assets to build up a winning team, which I did. For the first time since taking over, Davos had made the S67 playoffs, and actually managed to win the first round matchup! Unfortunately, we ran into a beefy Malmo team that year, and lost in 7 games in the conference finals, but I considered that season a success. Sadly, this was the beginning to the end already. Around this time I went off to college, meaning I had far less free time and I wasn't very excited about spending weekend nights worrying about recreates and drafts instead of living it up funneling whatever I could into my blood system. I don't remember which season it was, but I didn't participate in one of the drafts. Even though I was picking like 4th overall, I wasn't available for the actual draft and just told admins to BPA me please and thank you. To nobodies surprise, draft picks don't like when theyre BPA'd. Almost immediately, all 3 of my draft picks from that class requested trades, which was a rel kick in the face. Ahma retired, Nykonax wanted greener pastures, and our FAs had signed elsewhere. At this point there was no core, and I was back at square one again, with a single postseason appearance to show for it. I started doing ym job less and less until eventually, I was told by the league that I was done. Would I do things differently the second time around? Absolutely, but at the time I just didn't really care anymore. To me GMing was thankless, you had eyes on you 24-7 and unless you were a cup contender, you were made into a laughing stock. Admittedly, it sucked. I gave it a few more attempts at AGMing but those had a similar story. Right now I'm the OTT AGM and well I'm not hated so it counts for something right? It would be cool to GM again, but I just don't know if I need (or really want) that sort of spotlight again

Another beautiful week has come and gone! I ended up working all week, including fourth of july by myself and I was bummed to miss out on fireworks with friends, at least I made a lot of money I guess. Not a whole lot went on, I legit just worked all week and then sat around on Friday and Saturday. I joined this EANHL league so it's fun to play games whenever I can. I got signed by the Buffalo Sabres and they're a pretty good squad so hopefully it's a fun time. Tis week in the VHL though MexicanCow quit his job as NYA GM over "bullying" if you wanna call it that, more like harassment I guess. I thought about making a MS about my thoughts on it, but I don't think I need to and it might be taken the wrong way. All I have to say is I know how he feels, it sucks being the butt of the joke everytime, feels like you cannot say anything without being teased or whatever, and the people who do it just play it off as "i'm just fucking with you bro" as if it's any different. I guess that's what happens when half the VHL is too young to drive a fucking car or get their dick sucked.

I'm really sorry you had to deal with this cow. It's how I felt with Davos, whether it's intended as jokes or not, it sucks getting no acknowledgment and people just shitting on your every move. Hopefully it doesn't make you quit the site altogether but take the time you need and keep your head held high. Unfortunate reality is a solid chunk of the VHL is kids, and they sure as hell act like it. If nobody else has told you, I'm thankful for the countless hours you put in and you gave it your all @MexicanCow123

Ok, not sure what the hell I'm looking at but I'm gonna review it. Honestly, super high quality and I'm somewhat shocked this isn't just a stock photo from something you found online. How you made it so clear and HD is beyond me and it's awesome. Is that a Kodiak bear? Kodiak, Alaska is actually my hometown, so I love to geek about it whenever possible. Don't think there are mountains in Seattle (Toronto?) and after writing this sentence, it clicked, SEATTLE BEARS! That's creative. Only real critique I have is the girl looks pretty awkward and doesn't really fit with anything else going on here, but I'm sure you have your reasons. 9.5/10

Sick article! While I find this to be an easy article to review for TPE, I actually was thinking about how to start a podcast for the VHL, because writing MS every week gets old and really hard to do, so why not talk?? I like the formatting and the subsections too, it makes it easier to follow and I like how each section can be further broken down to really get into the nitty gritty and it's something I wish people did more with articles. Only gripe is I wish you went more into depth on some sections, it would really help. 9/10

Another week has come and gone. Was a tough week overall, my boss is a hater and really screwed me on the schedule. Told him I needed Monday and Tuesday off and he scheduled me to close both and pretty much told me to go fuck myself so I had to cancel my plans. Shitty stuff but the silver lining is I made a lot of tips. Friday went with my crush on a little road trip to go see Jon Pardi in Greeley, Colorado. I only know 3 songs of his tbh but you better believe I was jamming out to those songs. It started downpouring though and it was an outside concert, I can assure you I did not have a good time standing in the rain getting soaked in my t shirt and shorts. I'm a good potential boyfriend though, she was cold and wet so I gave her my jacket and I just figured I'd suffer. No moves were made but he played a love song and I put my arm around her so pretty good time I'll say. My player is doing well, been on a hot streak lately and almost at a point per game this season in the M. I needed it too, draft coming up this offseason and I'm one of the top skaters available. Playing on Houston has been awesome man, the locker room is always bumping and AJ is a great GM. Hopefully I can learn to score a god damn goal though.
