VSN - Trade Review! Trade 1: Seattle receives: Veran Dragomir Quebec City recieves: Jake Davis The Charm S65 DAV 4th S66 SEA 3rd Quebec made a shocking move by trading their top scorer, Veran Dragomir, to Seattle. But, they did get 4 things in return. Now it's time to see if it was worth it. Quebec got Jake Davis, who is scoring as much as Veran, and is equal level with him. Veran for Jake would have been a good trade, but on top of that they get The Charm who is also great offensively, plus really high draft picks. That is such a good deal. Davis has been great plus he is younger than Veran and has more room to grow. About The Charm, if you are a Quebec fan don't get too attached. Because Quebec soon traded him. Though, props to Beaviss for getting such a good tradable asset in The Charm. For the draft picks, again, they are really high which means even more young prospects. In my opinion, Beaviss has set a great future for the Quebec City Meute. Seattle has a good scorer, but I don't think it was worth Davis and some other great potential picks. If I haven't made it obvious already, I think that the Quebec City Meute won this trade. Sure, Seattle has a great scorer, and Veran will be great for them, but Davis is as good as him plus Quebec gets 2 draft picks. Trade 2: Helsinki receives: The Charm Quebec City Recieves: Konstantin Mulligan So this is an interesting trade. The Charm is a veteran with only 2 years left before he leaves the Victory Hockey League. Konstantin is playing his third season in the Victory Hockey League and is a young prospect. There is a drastic difference in points and goals, with The Charm having 23 goals and 31 assists (making 54 points) so far in the season, and Konstantin Mulligan with only 5 goals and 10 assists (making 15 points) so far in the season. As of why these two were traded, it's obvious The Charm was traded for his goal scoring and point scoring, and Quebec has Konstantin for the future of their franchise. Despite the bad stats so far, he is young, so he has a lot of potential. In my opinion though, The Charm still has 2 seasons of playing and has way more goals, and even if he is deprecated, he should still be pretty good and should help the Quebec City offensively. Konstantin Mulligan, he's young and has potential, but I think Helsinki won out this trade, in the short term. In the long term though, Quebec won out on this deal because The Charm will soon retire and Mulligan is again, young with a lot of potential, but he also has good depth and can cause turnovers. So, overall, it was a fair trade. Overall, I think Quebec has made 2 really good trades and I'm excited to see how they improve with these changes. Good luck to all the teams involved in these trades!

The unnamed user that goes by the name of SlapshotDragon has decided to get a job with VSN. He has made some very good articles, including a lot about Ryuu Crimson and his more recent 4 Things articles. On the Victory Hockey League discord server he shared his 4 Things articles. Those articles caught the attention of Victory Sports News writer Dill. When asked about the offer from Dill. "Dill just said he was intrigued and asked if I wanted to join the Victory Sports News. I obviously said yes. I am very excited about this opportunity. I can't wait!" He will start working with the Victory Sports News next week, with his first ever article with the VSN team. "Honestly, I'm gonna go with some 4 things articles for the Victory Sports News, but hopefully I get other ideas. I hope they find me joining their team worth it."

S64 Final Rematch (Calgary Wranglers vs Riga Reign) The Riga Reign this season: 29 wins - 10 regulation losses - 3 overtime losses The Calgary Wranglers this season: 14 wins - 22 regulation losses - 6 overtime losses -Team Scoring Leaders- Riga Reign Goals: Podrick Cast (27) Points: Edwin Preencarnacion (58) -------------------------------------------------------- Calgary Wranglers Goals: Jasper Canmore (22) Points: Jasper Canmore (41) Us: The Riga Reign were against last-place team HC Davos Dynamo, the Dynamo only having 7 wins. The 1st period was quiet, nobody scoring a goal. But then 8:16 into the period, Edwin Preencarnacion scored to make it 1 to nothing for Riga. Then, later, at 16:44 into the second, Ryuu Crimson scored, ending the scoring for the second period. In the third period, Edwin Preencarnacion scored a goal 6:56 into the third, making it 3 to nothing for Riga. But then, Randoms of the HC Davos Dynamo scored at 8:15, getting the only goal for HC Davos Dynamo. Ryuu Crimson would then pot his second goal of the game at 14:25, helping Riga win 4 to 1. Them: The Calgary Wranglers were against the Toronto Legion, the Legion in 3rd place in the standings. Karl van Moltke got a penalty 23 seconds into the game, giving the Legion an early power play, in which Sebastian Ironside scored at 1:36. The Wranglers, though, came back during the second period, with a goal from Aksel McKnight. Then, the third period was filled with scoring. In the third, Calgary took the league with a goal 2:56 into the period from Wlodzimierz Zajaczkowski, who has what is probably the hardest name to spell in this league. The Palindrome Paladin, Oyorra Arroyo scored at 14:28. After, Lando Baxter would put the Calgary Wranglers right back on top during a power play, at 17:20. But then Luc-Pierre Lespineau-Lebrunette (jeez, so many hard names) would score 15 seconds later (17:35 for those who can’t do the math) to tie it up for the Legion. And then in overtime, less than a minute into it, Evan R. Lawson scored at 0:56 to win it for Toronto. This, That & The Other: This: Riga is in first place in the league with 61 points. The second place Seattle Bears are hot on their tail with 59 points That: In Riga’s 4-1 ass whooping against the last place HC Davos Dynamo, all three stars were from Riga. The third star was Leph Twinger, who got an assist on the goal from Edwin Preencarnacion, who was the second star with 2 goals. Ryuu Crimson was declared the first star, despite having 2 goals like Edwin Preencarnacion and nothing else. The Other: The Calgary Wranglers are in 6th place, with 98 points. They have only 14 wins, which is the second least amount of wins in the league, second to the aforementioned HC Davos Dynamo. Players to watch: Riga: Of course, Edwin Preencarnacion who scored 2 goals last game and is leading Riga in both Goal Scoring and Points. He will be electric like always. Calgary: Jasper Canmore who is leading the Calgary Wranglers in both Goals and Points.

After this statement: Ryuu wins the Kanou and gets a hat trick. Ryan Kastelic (in S63) gets 72 points and is 5th in Rookie Scoring (and he's a defenseman!) We win the cup. -

Game 109 Riga Reign vs Toronto Legion The Riga Reign this season: 18 wins - 7 regulation losses - 2 overtime/shootout losses The Toronto Legion this season: 16 wins - 7 regulation losses - 2 overtime/shootout losses -Team Scoring Leaders- Riga Reign Goals: Edwin Preencarnacion & Podrick Cast (17 Goals) Points: Edwin Preencarnacion (35 Points) -------------------------------------- Toronto Legion Goals: Oyorra Arroyo (22 Goals) Points: Oyorra Arroyo (46 Points) Us: The beloved Lions of Latvia are coming back from a 3-2 Loss against the New York Americans. In the first period, Joel Ylonen got his 9th goal of the season 12:19 into the game. Then, the second period came along. 2:07 into the second period, Edwin Preencarnacion tied it up for the Riga Reign, and it was followed up by Dylan Nguyen, who scored 4 minutes into the second. Then, Roctrion King of the New York Americans scored a power play goal 5:02 minutes into the second to tie it up for the Americans. After a hard fought battle between the two in the third period, it was Dan Wilinsky who would win the game for New York, 16:45 into the period. Them: Toronto lost their last game against the Quebec City Meute, with a score of 4-3. They lost in a similar fashion. In the first period, the Legion struck fast, with Lavar Ball scoring 20 seconds into the game. And the questionably named Boner scored on a power play, at 10:12. Marvin Harding of the Meute would score at 18:42. Then in the second, Beau Louth would show off why he's third in League Scoring. He scored a power play goal 5:08 into the period to tie it up. After a goal from Oyorra Arroya, the palindrome paladin, he scored again 14:13 into the period. Then, there would be a hard fought battle until 14:38 into the third when Colton Rayne scored on the power play, winning the game for the Meute. This, That & The Other: This: The Reign are tied with the Seattle Bears for first place in the league with 38 points. The Toronto Legion are not far behind with 35 points, good enough for third place. That: Edwin Preencarnacion was the first star of the last game against the New York Americans with 1 goal, 1 assist, and a +1 plus minus rating in that game. He also leads the Riga Reign in point scoring and goal scoring. The Other: Riga is attempting to bounce back from a 3 game losing streak while the Toronto Legion only have a streak of 1 loss. Players to Watch: Riga Reign: For Riga, it's the Right Winger Edwin Preencarnacion. Preencarnacion was, as previously mentioned, the first star in the game against the New York Americans. He also is the Team Leader in points and goals. Toronto Legion: Of course, it's the Palindrome Paladin, Oyorra Arroyo. Like Preencarnacion, he leads his team in both Goals and Points, and also scored 1 goal and 1 assist in the game against the Quebec City Meute.

Ryuu Crimson Press Conference
SlapshotLegion replied to SlapshotLegion's topic in Player Press Conferences
1. No, not really. 2. Yeah, probably. He's been a good assister and goal scorer in the minors, probably even better than Twinger, and he has been great fir me so far. 3. Well, maybe, it depends on my real life time frame. I rarely make them because of the time it takes sometimes but I hope to pull it off. -
Riga — The Victory Hockey League and the National Hockey League are the two most elite hockey leagues in the world. Maybe it's time for a little competition by the two teams. Well, each VHL team is going against a NHL team once this preseason. For example, Ryuu Crimson and the Riga Reign will be against Claude Giroux and the Philadelphia Flyers. Each team will have a counterpart to battle which will be fun. They are also considering a VHL All-Stars vs NHL All-Stars team, but it's only a rumour. Don't you think it'll be fun to see some of your favourite faces in the NHL to go against your favourite players in the VHL? What happens when fast, young, Left Wingers clash, like Johnny Gaudreau and Ryuu Crimson? Which goalies can come on top? Will the VHL win or be completely destroyed? Well, you have to wait and see.

Riga — One of the most popular moments of Ryuu's career was the time he and the inaugural team of the Halifax 21st, (named after Pier 21 in Halifax), made a surprising run to the Victory Hockey League Minors Finals. But they were swept by the Riga Goalie Kallis Kriketers and the Ottawa Lynx, losing the championship. Well, 6 of the players who signed with Riga were involved in that run. Nathan MacKinnon, Anthony Dabarno, Dylan Nguyen, Ryuu Crimson, Shawn Glade, and last but not least, Rylan Peace. Rylan was a powerhouse in the Minors, having a 40+ season in his last season there. Even though he has had a slower of a start than he wanted, he is better now. But we didn't make this article to just talk about him. As Halifax fans may know, Ryuu and Rylan were in a line with Dabarno together during that run to the finals. Ryuu and Rylan were phenomenal together, Rylan getting 10 points in the few games he was in the Regular Season as well as 1 playoff point, while Ryuu got 10 points. Despite the fact Rylan didn't assist Ryuu's 2 goals in the playoffs, he was a big part of them, making plays and entering the zone with tons of speed. During the draft, it was thought that it was time for this amazing line to split. Ryuu and his best friend Dylan were drafted by the Riga Reign. Rylan got drafted.....by Riga! The line would survive! (Except, not entirely as Dabarno is still in the Minors. Replacing him was Mikka Pajari.) Rylan Peace would go on to play in his final season in the Victory Hockey League Minors, (in which he scored 46 goals and had 45 assists to make a impressive point count of 91.) but now he is in the Big Leagues. He spent some time on the top line with Edwin Preencarnacion and Podrick Cast. After some time, he was moved down to join his old pal Ryuu and respected center Mikka Pajari to play on the second line. He currently has 9 points while Ryuu has his 12 points. When asked about how he felt having Peace on his side, he said, "It's been great. He has been awesome and a big help. He moves the puck fast and well and I'm glad he's on my side once more. despite all of the people I've played with, he is one the most best players offensively and I can't wait to play alongside with him. This guy is the best Right Winger I've ever played with. Well, other than Shephard. I can't wait to witness his future and be right beside him watching." As well as the run in Halifax, both Ryuu and Rylan are remembered as star wingers of Saskatoon, despite never playing together in Saskatoon. Hopefully, they can be the same stars in Riga. Ryuu and Rylan have been proven to be dangerous together before. Now can these two Saskatoon Stars be dangerous together again? Only time will tell.
