1. I’m hopeful we can win long term. Especially with a solid goalie who will hopefully be around for a while
2. I should probably improve my scoring a bit more for the jump to the VHL but outside of that Puck Handling and Defense

1. I’m a point per game player thus far which last season I only had 16 points in 72 games. Much better performance.

3. I just find it very unique and enjoyable to be on the ice and following hockey as well. Its impressive watching pros play and seeing how easy they make things look.

This is a story about an average day in the life of Bryce Woodworth.

His day started with a hearty breakfast, a carefully calculated blend of carbs and proteins to fuel his body for the intense physical activity ahead. The scent of fresh coffee filled the kitchen as he reviewed notes on the opposing team's strategies. Bryce was meticulous in his preparation, leaving no room for surprises on the ice.
After breakfast, Bryce headed to the gym for a focused workout. He pushed himself through a series of drills, honing his agility and strength. The sound of weights clinking and the hum of treadmills created a rhythm that matched the beat of his determined heart. Every repetition was a step closer to peak performance.

The pre-game ritual involved a series of dynamic warm-ups and stretches. The chill of the ice beneath his skates sent a shiver up his spine. The sound of blades cutting through the rink echoed in the empty arena, a prelude to the intensity that awaited.
In the final moments before stepping onto the ice, Bryce took a moment of solitude. Closing his eyes, he focused on his breathing, clearing his mind of distractions. The crowd's roar gradually became a distant hum as he tuned into the rhythm of his own heartbeat.

1. I’m feeling it! We’re playing great in one of the most important times of the season. Let’s keep it rolling
2. Moon Moth has been lighting the lamp quite a bit but Pereira has been really sacrificing the body for us. I’d say either one of them but points usually wins awards.

Welcome to today's edition of the Official Stockholm Vikings talk show. I’m your host, Alec Volchenkov. Today we have a special guest recently drafted by the Vikings and set to play first line Right Wing for the Vikings this season, we welcome Bryce Woodworth.
Alec Volchenkov: Bryce, first of all, congratulations on being drafted by the Stockholm Vikings in the fourth round, 20th overall. How did it feel to hear your name called at the draft?
Bryce Woodworth: Thanks, Alec. It was an incredible moment, something I've been working towards for as long as I can remember. I was with my family, and when I heard my name, it was a mix of excitement, relief, and a sense of accomplishment.
Alec Volchenkov: That sounds like an amazing experience. Now that you're part of the Vikings organization, what are your initial thoughts and expectations for the upcoming hockey season?
Bryce Woodworth: Well, I'm extremely grateful to be part of the Stockholm Vikings. My main expectation for the upcoming season is to work hard, give my best on and off the ice, and contribute to the team's success in any way I can. I'm here to learn, improve, and help the Vikings compete at the highest level.
Alec Volchenkov: That's a great attitude to have. What aspect of your game do you think you can bring to the team, and how do you plan to make an impact as a rookie?
Bryce Woodworth: I believe my defensive skills, my shot, and my speed are some of my greatest strengths. I'll work on them even further and, as a rookie, I aim to be a reliable presence on the ice. Whether it's blocking shots, penalty killing, or creating plays, I want to be a fairly well-rounded player who the team can count on in high pressure moments.
Alec Volchenkov: Sounds like Stockholm may have gotten a gem here in the making. Lastly, what are your personal goals for the season, and do you have any specific role models in the hockey world who inspire you?
Bryce Woodworth: My personal goals for the season include gaining valuable experience, adapting to the professional level, and being a team player. I want to make strides in my development. As for role models, I've always looked up to players like Patrice Bergeron for his poise and leadership on the ice. I hope to emulate those qualities in my own game.

1. I’m trying to focus on goal scoring and defense. I do have a fair amount of TPE in skating as well

Week ending Sept. 3rd
1. I think tightening up defensively and working on our puck retrievals in the corners will help us get better.
2. Slightly worse. I’d like to see that +/- be a bit better but with a losing record I’m not sure if that’s realistic
3. He was a gem for sure. He’s putting up good numbers as d-man and a second round pick to get him is good value.
4. We’ve been doing a decent job of keeping the puck out of the net. Our goals against is about average in the league. We just need to score some more goals
5. A conversation would be pretty cool but sometimes it doesnt live up to expectation and leaves you disappointed so it’s a tough call.

Review:
Theres a lot going on here in this graphic, the more you look around the more you see. You did a good job replacing the colour on the jersey to red. I’m not entirely sure how I feel about the split background. It feels a little harsh, like it doesn’t quite flow with the image. Maybe try making the player go to the top and use the player as the divider between the sides instead of the harsh transition. My other suggestion would be to make the “minion” maybe yellow instead just to match the rest of the colour scheme in the graphic. Overall though I can tell you did put effort into this and I think you did a good job. 7/10

Review:
This is a pretty decent graphic. It does look like you put some actual effort in and tried to accomplish a vision. I like the semi transparent over-lay with the knight. It shows as a symbol of strength and that you will stand firm in the crease. It’s a nice photo of Price as well. Locked in and concentrating.
I think the style of font fits the theme of the knight. It’s a fairly simple design but that’s not a bad thing. Sometimes people have the tendency to add too many elements and it’s distracting from the main focus. Overall great job! There’s nothing I’d change about this graphic so I give it a 10/10

Welcome to this week’s interview with Houston Bulls player Bryce Woodworth. I’m your host Alec Volchenkov. Today we’ll be discussing with Bryce his recent experience in Houston along with his plans for the upcoming draft and off-season.
Alec Volchenkov: Welcome, Bryce Woodworth! It's a pleasure to have you here. First of all, I’d like to just talk about the elephant in the room. The disappointing first-round loss to the Ottawa Lynx in the playoffs. Can you share your thoughts on the series?
Bryce Woodworth: Thank you. It's certainly a tough pill to swallow. We had high hopes going into the playoffs, but the Ottawa Lynx played exceptionally well. They capitalized on our mistakes, and we struggled to find our momentum throughout the series. It's disappointing, but we'll all use this experience as motivation to grow and continue to improve our games.
Alec Volchenkov: Losing in the playoffs is always difficult, especially in the first round. Are there any specific areas you feel the team could have improved upon?
Bryce Woodworth: Absolutely. In hindsight, we could have been more disciplined on the ice and avoided taking so many unnecessary penalties. Special teams is such a crucial factor in close games, and we really needed to execute our game plan much better in those situations. Overall, we needed to be way more consistent and assertive in our systems. These are things we'll address as individuals in the off-season though as we definitely won’t be the same group as most of us will be moving up to the VHLE and the rest of us being sent to the upcoming VHLM draft.
Alec Volchenkov: Learning from failures is the best way to grow and improve in every aspect. Changing gears here a little bit, could you share with us how you've been gearing up for the draft?
Bryce Woodworth: The Draft is undoubtedly a crucial milestone in my hockey journey, and I've been preparing for it extensively. Ever since I started playing hockey, my dream has been to make it to the VHLM and eventually the VHL.
Alec Volchenkov: That's commendable, Bryce! Can you tell us about the specific aspects of your game that you've been working on to impress the scouts?
Bryce Woodworth: Absolutely! Skating is the foundation of hockey, so I've been working on my speed and agility to outmaneuver opponents effectively. Additionally, I've been focusing on my shooting to be a more potent offensive threat.
Defense is equally crucial, so I've been practicing my positioning, stick-checking, and reading the play better to become a more reliable two-way player. Ultimately, I want to demonstrate to scouts that I can contribute to the team's success in multiple ways.
Alec Volchenkov: It sounds like you're really trying to improve your game and even your draft stock, Bryce! Besides the on-ice skills, what other elements have you been working on during this process?
Bryce Woodworth: Hockey is not just a physical game; it's a mental one too. So, alongside my on-ice training, I've been focusing on developing mental toughness. I've been working with sports psychologists to build resilience, stay focused under pressure, and visualize success on the ice. A strong mental game can make all the difference in tight situations. After a bit of a disappointing end to such a promising playoff run with Houston I want to learn from that and try to be a more clutch player in those high pressure games.
Alec Volchenkov: That's a wise approach, Bryce. A well-rounded player is what every team desires. As the VHLM Draft draws nearer, how are you managing the pressure and nerves associated with such a significant event?
Bryce Woodworth: The pressure is definitely there, but I try not to let it overwhelm me. I just have to keep reminding myself that this is just another step in my journey. Having a strong support system of family, friends, and coaches has been instrumental in keeping me grounded. They've always encouraged me and helped me stay focused on the game rather than the draft itself.
Alec Volchenkov: Having a solid support system is definitely critical. Looking beyond the draft, the off-season will follow. How do you plan on improving your skills this summer?
Bryce Woodworth: The off-season is when players can really focus on refining their skills and addressing weaknesses. I'll continue working with specialized coaches to target specific areas of improvement. For instance, I'll focus on enhancing my shot power and accuracy, and I'll work on increasing my strength and conditioning to maintain peak physical form throughout the season.
Apart from that, I'll also be closely analyzing my game footage to identify areas where I can make smarter decisions on the ice and overall be a better team player. Continuous learning and adapting to the ever-evolving nature of the sport is crucial for growth.
Alec Volchenkov: It sounds like you have a well-thought-out plan for the off-season, Bryce. We’re almost out of time here for today but is there a message you'd like to share with any aspiring young hockey players out there who may listen to this?
Bryce Woodworth: To all the young hockey players out there, I'd like to say that you should never give up on your dreams. If you have a hard work ethic, dedication, and passion for the sport, it will take you far. Embrace every opportunity to improve and don't be afraid to seek guidance from coaches and mentors. The journey will definitely have its ups and downs, but just stay focused and believe in yourself. If you keep that strong determination, anything is possible in the world of hockey.

1. I joined late in the season in hopes of helping the team succeed in a deep playoff run. I feel I helped out a bit on the depth chart and tried to fill my role as best as I could’ve.
2. I’d say probably 210. I guess we’ll see what the future holds. I wasn’t here long so I don’t have that strong bond as some other players may have but this is a great group
3. We just didn’t battle enough in the corners and took too many costly penalties
4. Not necessarily. If they put up some great numbers and tons of other accolades then I don’t think it should matter
5. I don’t really have a strong preference. I’m just looking to focus on my own growth right now and see where I end up.

Review: I think you did a good job overall. There’s a lot going on here but it doesn’t feel overly crowded. I like how you have the background split with the goalie being the divider, having the logo on one side with the name on the other. My only recommendation would be since the photo is a goalie and you have the Kings logo on there it’s not necessary to say “VHLM - Goalie”. The colours flow and are consistent amongst the entire graphic. I love that font you used for the name, it just makes it pop. The signature is a nice touch as well. Great job!

2. San Jose is in a rough spot and didn’t get it last year so I’m going with them.
3. I’ve gone to couple Box Lacrosse games in Halifax. It’s pretty interesting
5. I really like Viva La Dirt League for their sketches and Eck for his hockey content.
6. I really like the Star Wars universe but some of the content lately has been trash. There’s been a few gems. The books are pretty solid though for the most part.
8. There’s a local ice cream place that makes homemade ice cream so I’m going with their salted caramel with brownies mixed in.
