  3. Today feels like a white day. A blank canvas, an empty partition. History that has yet to be written. Comfort. Silence. The calm before the storm. Today, I officially joined the Halifax 21st. I was made available in the VHLM, a couple teams offered me different roles on their teams, but the choice was easy. I can’t even explain why, it’s as if an other-worldly force wanted me to be in Nova Scotia for the rest of Season 79. As if I had a purpose there, if there was something for me there and there only. Maybe they’re the team where I can exceed my potential. Who knows? Today feels like a blue day. Of the lighter variety. Full of hopes and dreams. Floating on the horizon. The calm before the storm. But as soon as I made my way to the locker room, I met with some of my new teammates - and it all came back to me. I amn’t from here, but I am definitely meant to be here. Up until this point, my life felt normal. I was a normal kid, I played hockey, I was good at it to the point where a career wasn’t out of the question and that’s why I thought I was here today. But it isn’t. I amn’t from here, but my purpose is here. Nico Pearce is here and he is in danger. Today feels like a blue day. Of the darker variety. One single star shines. Brighter than it ever shined before. A storm is coming. It is as if they blurred my memory of it, as if they wanted me to believe that I had a normal childhood, a normal life, up until this point. Truth is, I amn’t from here. I amn’t even from this era. I am from way farther up in time. I don’t even know what year I came from, but now that I saw his beautiful face, I remember what it looked like, and it isn’t anything like what the world looks like in Season 79. If I had to guess, I’d say I was born around Season 200-300. Technology has advanced to a point where missions like this one are possible. I’ve been trained from a young age, digitally enhanced, all to make this voyage through time and space possible. It made my hockey junior such a breeze. It wasn’t even hard to end up here today, future technology made me a known asset in this barren past. Well, it’s not exactly barren. It’s the home of one person of interest. One person I have known my whole life up until this point, but who has no idea that I am here for him only. I need to protect Nico Pearce at all costs.

You kinda knew about it already @IamMOOSE, but good luck in Moscow. I don't know why you'd want to play for Spartan tbh, but that's something for another day. King established some franchise records that will be tough to beat, you left your mark with us. Welcome on the team @Tbeez99. Super stoked to have you in London for the next couple of seasons, here's hoping.

  15. 1. Bring back the all-star game. Doesn't have to be live streamed on NHL, though it was a fun party and would make it more interesting than if it was just simmed on STHS. I get that the issue was that it takes a lot of time to setup on NHL, but you could honestly make that a job. Give someone two full free weeks to setup the voting threads or whatever other way we'd pick the players and have them stream it with commentary on Twitch. Party. 2. Kill the Wylde Trophy. Every offseason, it's the same effin thing over and over. Voters don't agree on what we should compare players on and then everyone is mad at who we picked as the winner. Our options are so limited with STHS stats that some think points and +/- should be used, which is absolutely ridiculous. Hits is always a hot topic, but it's literally of only two defensive stats we have (along with shots blocked, obviously.) So, if we can't even reliably pick who's good defensively because of what information the sim provides for us, why are we even bothering? Kill it and stop the madness. 3. Create Game Host jobs. I've seen some people talk about game nights on Discord and stuff like that and I agree that it could be fun. I'm gonna take it up a notch, and mix it with something that has been said a lot around the league: we don't have many low involvement jobs for people that want to get started in the league. Pretty much the only ones I can think of right now are like WJC GM spots and AGM spots, but even then, they don't pay much and they pretty much only give you experience for GM spots. What about a job to host weekly or bi-weekly games? Pay them 2 TPE or something everytime they host one. I'm sure the community would appreciate these in general. Could be Jackbox, Trivia nights, whatever.
  16. +/- should not even be an individual stat
  17. It’s been brought to Hornet’s attention that Hornet will be able to enter autopilot mode a week from now, which would mark the end of Hornet’s career. Hornet is most pleased about it, because Hornet hasn’t been enjoying his hockey career as much as Hornet expected to, eight seasons ago. On the bright side, Hornet travelled the world, Hornet made some friends. These are memories Hornet will cherish forever, memories Hornet will bring in the afterlife. But there was another side to Hornet’s career, one that defined Hornet on and off the ice - the aggression. After a violent hit to the head from Lahtinen at some point, midway through Hornet’s career, Hornet’s playstyle went from disciplined sharpshooter to bloodlusting fighter, which made Hornet the target of many more hits. Hornet’s style became erratically violent and Hornet started to feel the consequences of it outside of the ice. One week from now, Hornet will enter autopilot mode, and it’s a good timing, because Hornet can’t take it anymore. Hornet gave Hornet’s life to the game and it killed Hornet inside. One week from now, Hornet will be free.
