some days I miss Robbie

London are making the playoffs for the 3rd time in their history. We did so in our 3rd and 5th season. The first time, we faced Moscow in the Wild Card round and, the second time, we faced Helsinki in the European Semi-Finals. Both series resulted in losses for us. The series that started today, in which we are up against @diamond_ace's Prague could be our first series win in franchise history. After seeing Chicago and Warsaw in the finals a couple seasons ago, and LA make good progress last playoffs, it would be nice to finally get in on this ourselves. After trading Lahtinen to the old folks' home and being forced into making a couple of trades in the offseason, we only recorded 6 less points than last season and we still finished 2nd in the European Conference. Our strength is still our defense, as we have allowed the fewest amount of goals in the league for two straight seasons, but our offense has dried up this season. London enters the playoffs as the 4th worst team in the league in terms of goals for, ahead of only 3 non-playoff teams. Here's hoping the addition of Sandstrom and Sunderbruch at the deadline helps us in these playoffs.

You act both proud and annoyed that the Habs are so underrated by everyone else. Pick one. Gaikoku never discredited the Habs, he just said they were the worst team on paper in every series they played. And it's true, you can't just pretend that you expected the Habs to make it to the finals. If you sincerely tell me you predicted the Habs to win all three series and make it to the finals, then you're completely delusional. On paper, and from what we have seen all season, Montreal shouldn't even have made it past the first round. Hell, they probably shouldn't even have made the playoffs in the first place. But they still made it to the top. Credit where it's due, they outplayed Toronto, Winnipeg and even Vegas. I didn't think they would myself and it feels weird to see them in the finals, not gonna lie, but they didn't fake their way to the top, they deserve their finals berth. But don't be too surprised if the odds favour the Lightning, once again.
