The massive annoucements from earlier today from our friends in the VHL and VHLE had some repercussions on the VHLM. Two of our teams are getting promoted - or more like, they are folding and some teams sharing their names are debuting in Europe - to solve some roster issues. Two of our GMs are moving up with them: @Laine is following the Storm back to Oslo and @Brewins15 is taking over the Rush in their move to Geneva, Vienna, or some other mountain . Then, the VHL announced they were replacing literally 25% of their managers, taking @Domg5 to take over Malmo. I wanted to take the time to thank these three GMs for all the time and efforts they put to make these new members at home in our community. The efforts didn't go unnoticed, we were blessed to have all of you in our ranks. Good luck in the VHL and VHLE to all of you! So, this whole personnel shift makes it so, at the end of the day, the Halifax 21st are now without a GM, which is mainly why I'm writing this today. If you are interested in that job, please apply directly in this thread. - On another note, @JigglyGumballs has informed us earlier in the season that he planned on stepping from his role as the Las Vegas Aces GM at the end of the season. Thanks for your service in the VHLM, thanks for helping our new member base for such a long time. I might be mistaken, but I believe you were currently the longest-tenured GM. I have no idea who holds that title now, the turnaround has been insane recently. This opening has been known to us for a while, so we already have someone lined up for it - someone who barely missed the cut in the previous process, but has been relentlessly active on both the forums and Discord. Jiggly's replacement is: Congrats and good luck in Las Vegas!

After all these years, it finally happened. @BarzalGoat, there is no rush.

No change for London. Let's go! Last games of your careers @der meister, @SirRupertBarnes

SS was not bad, it slowly went from okay to great, I guess, but I was expecting more from a player that peaked at 1k TPE and was selected first overall in his draft. Might just be me being greedy. Some of us need to be in the supporting cast so the stars can shine through.

The London United is vague enough that I guess the mascot could be anything that represents the city of London, or England as a whole. My vote would go for a Plague Doctor-mask wearing fox. That would looks sly. I wouldn't be surprised if McDavid hit 150 points this season. For Draisaitl, I'd expect more in the range of like 110-125. Public urination. Zaza is disgusting. - 1. We have a Game 7 in the VHLM Finals tomorrow. Who comes out victorious and who scores the championship-clinching goal? 2. What's your player's nickname and how did they earn it? 3. What other sport would your player be good at?

I'm on my third player now. We're only one season into his young career, but I got a good feeling for Zaza. And the reason for it is pretty simple; he absolutely obliterated my personal record for points in a season. Joseph McWolf was my first player, and he was a defenseman, specialized early on on the defensive aspect of the game, so of course he wasn't going to put up tons of points throughtout his career. He had a great career, ended up being inducted in the Hall of Fame as a second ballot, I think, but it was more because of his all-around impact, not because he put up that many points. In his only VHLM season, he scored 35, and his VHL best was a somewhat disappointing 80 points, considering his status. SS Hornet followed up, and I mean, it's hard to sugarcoat it: for a player with as much TPE as he did during his peak and throughout regression, he was pretty bad. He never even finished a season in the top 10 for points, goals or assists. His career highs were 82 points in the VHLM and 86 points in the VHL. It's not terrible, but I was definitely hoping to at least have another near-HOF career. He seemed like he could have been a good playoffs performer though, so it's a shame that his teams never made it too far. But now enters Zaza Colors. He has only played one full season in the VHLM, so I'm cautiously optimistic, but still, I have a feeling he's going to be something throughout his career. In this sole season, he scored 122 points, by far the most for any of my player. We'll see if this keeps up when he plays in the VHL or the VHLE next season.

I'm not difficult, especially not after a couple of beers. I usually manage to have fun, drink too much and regret everything at most parties I go to, so they're all perfect for me. Bad Habits by Between the Buried and Me. I've been listening to it a lot this past week. Their new album has been out for 2 months or so and I'm still in love with it. I really don't like the Bears and the Wranglers logos. Maybe it's just the fact that they're weirdly proportionned animals, I don't know. I just don't care for either of them. 1. What has been the biggest surprise so far in the playoffs? 2. Baseball got the 'Take Me Out to the Ballgame' chant in the middle of the 7th (I think). Let's still their tradition. What's a song that could be sang across all hockey arenas at some specific time? 3. What do you do during the offseason to get ready for the next season?
-
He's back! Back timing for the creation, bud. Playoffs have just started, which means rosters are locked, but you'll be able to join a team through the draft in this offseason. Good luck
-
But he didn't win the Labatte and got so pissed he ditched.

Vancouver has the gimmick working for them, but I believe Chicago is the most well-rounded team and that could help them in a 7-game series. It might be the easy way out because they are currently leading the European Conference, but I do think Moscow are doing great, and I believe they'll be able to keep that going in the playoffs. The VHL is the one I'm the most involved with, easily my favourite, but I also have active players in the EFL, SBA and PBE. Question 1. Who is your favourite for MVP this season? Question 2. What team has been the most surprising this season? Apart from like Vancouver. Question 3. What do you have planned for your next player?

It happens a bunch of times every season, it's usually not a big deal. 14 players reached 100 points in S79, then 5 in S78, 6 in S77, 7 in S76. Even this season, 13 players have already made it, with a bunch more games left to play. You get the picture. Thing is, it never happened for us. All three of our expansion cousins have had multiple cases of players making it past the century mark since our conjoined inception in S73. Just this past season, Merrick and Stamen did it in Los Angeles, Dear, Lamb and Grachev did it in Warsaw, Xin and Nousiainen did it in Chicago. Which left London trailing back with a franchise record of 97 points, held by Julian Nousiainen for a couple of seasons now. Until yesterday -- or the day before yesterday. That Dude left his mark on the history of the London United with a 3-point night that pushed him straight up to 100 points. Here's hoping The Terrible Trivium follows in his steps. He only needs 7 more points in the last five games of the season, and he could also join this historic effort, in his ultimate VHL season.
-
2 assists in 2 games, not terrible. But yeah, need more.
-
@Cornholio officially becomes London's first 100-point scorer
-
lmao I missed that. Excellent

Last minute update. Of course. There is a part of me.that doesn't care about updating anymore, it feels like. Especially since I realized I'm probably not gonna be able to make it to 350 and skip the mandatory VHLE season. I was all-in with hopes of making it to the VHL faster, but it's looking like a lost cause at the moment, which is a shame. With the way the VHLE was presented at first, it felt like top earners would have the choice between jumping straight to the VHL, but the reality is that it's gonna be rough even for max earners, and the smallest things like a shorter offseason can mean it's most likely impossible unless you ball out all season in fantasy and stuff like that. Which I haven't. It also makes it rough as a VHL GM, cause now you are drafting not to solve a now problem, but you are drafting to solve problems you probably don't even have yet, but it's gonna be a thing when the players are VHL ready. uh.
