  1. I don't mind it being short TBF. But yeah, we are bound to double dip on a couple of days, especially over the weekend
  2. Give us more than 5 days of offseason if you don't want days with multiple events
  3. @Beketov VHLM Draft on Saturday, 8pm EST
  4. Season 80 VHL Draft Lottery Date: September 11th, 2021 I ran both the VHL and VHLM draft lotteries yesterday evening, streamed on Twitch in front of a couple of witnesses and forgot to posted the results in here, so here they are. Just a quick reminder that teams can't drop more than one spot, and we run lotteries until we don't need to anymore. Odds to win the lottery were as follows: 1. Toronto Legion @Peace 25.0% 2. Helsinki Titans @Rayzor_7 20.0% 3. Toronto Legion (via Moscow Menace) 17.5% 4. London United @McWolf 17.5% 5. New York Americans @MexicanCow123 12.5% 6. Vancouver Wolves @fonziGG 7.5%
  5. Season 80 VHLM Draft Lottery Date: September 11th, 2021 I ran both the VHL and VHLM draft lotteries yesterday evening, streamed on Twitch in front of a couple of witnesses and forgot to posted the results in here, so here they are. Just a quick reminder that teams can't drop more than one spot, and we run lotteries until we don't need to anymore. Odds to win the lottery were as follows: 1. Houston Bulls @MattyIce 30.0% 2. Minnesota Storm @Laine 25.0% 3. Ottawa Lynx @16z 25.0% 4. Yukon Rush @Domg5 20.0%
  6. 1. Tough to say at the moment, without any player assigned to any of the team yet, and most of the GMs there have had some level of success in the VHLM or VHL before. If I had to guess, I'd say Advantage comes back strong and leads the Stockholm Vikings to the first VHLE championship, and then they'll get to lift the Pioneers' Cup, or something. 2. Both great players, but McDavid is on another level offensively. If Edmonton did a slightly better job of surrounding him with talented players, they'd easily be perenial contenders. 3. Season 62. The season I joined, I was still in the VHLM at that point, and I'm still sad that I missed on the super high scoring of this season. There were some rookies scoring over 100 points, veterans scoring 150 points, like it was nothing. I think out of all the players who had surprisingly high number of points, my favourite was Dragon McDragon, an inactive, low-TPE, defenseman who just randomly decided to crack 100 points in S62. - Questions: 1. What team would you say has been the most successful of the S70s in the VHLM? 2. What team do you think will be the most successful in the S80s, still in the VHLM? 3. Who's your favourite gfx artist in the league?
  7. i can almost taste the rainbow
  8. Hello Mrs. Snakehole. Where's Mr. Macklin?
  9. I'm catching up on you. But yeah, I guess losing in the finals probably sucks even more. Not that I'd know.
  10. And just like that, it was all over. Despite having over 1000 TPE for pretty much all of its peak, SS Hornet was a disappointing presence in playoffs throughout its career. Following in the spiritual footsteps of Joseph McWolf before it, Hornet didn't even manage to make the Continental Cup Finals once and only made it to the Conference Finals once, where its Vancouver Wolves got swept by the Chicago Phoenix, the eventual champions. As the saying goes, "if you can't beat them, join them," and so it did, opting out of Toronto in his final VHL season, thinking the perpetually contending Chicago Phoenix could be the answer to a two-career long finals drought. And they couldn't even make it past the Los Angeles Stars in the first round, leaving Hornet, and the McWolf agency as a whole, on the wrong side of a playoff series once again. Here's hoping Zaza Colors can succeed where others failed again and again. and again.
  11. I need one more TPE so here we go again. 1. I think Malmo has been the better team in the regular season and has been flying through the playoffs. And in the M, same could be said about Mississauga. So them two. 2. Colorado finally wins it before they lose important pieces to cap? I'd appreciate that, to be honest. 3. I don't know if it really is a better idea, but I've seen players ask their GMs for press conference questions so often, when in fact there is nothing stopping the players to ask the questions if they would rather that. This thread is a place where there will always be there three questions ready to be answered, as long as ask three more yourself. and the questions 1. How many goals do you think your player could realistically score next season? 2. Are you excited about the VHLE starting its operations in Season 80? 3. Who's one of your favourite breakout candidates for this upcoming NHL season?
  12. yeah, I'm just trying something for those interested
  13. About a month ago, when the blues opened the S79 Suggestion Drive for new ideas on how we could make the league ever so better, @GustavMattias suggested a new way to handle press conferences that I thought was interesting enough to give a try. He said: So the suggestion was basically useless, as it's not something that really has to be implemented: we can already do that with the way press conferences work at this moment. So what we'll be doing here is different than regular press conference threads. Instead of waiting for your GM or AGM or whatever to ask 6 questions every week, you can simply answer to the 3 questions asked in the previous post, and then ask 3 for the next member to join in. Answer 3 Ask 3 1. What VHL team do you believe has the best logo? 2. Who will go 1st overall in the S80 draft? 3. Why are dogs so much better than cats?
  14. We got the Queen on our side Huuuuge sim @Cornholio
  15. no line change for London, at least not for the first sim
  16. added 5$ ID: 20748129533584753\n 1mil$
  17. With the VHLE starting its operations in the upcoming season, their commissioners had to hire a whole new set of General Managers to manage their six teams in their inaugural season. @diamond_ace and I would like to congratulate the six VHLE GMs and wish them good luck in this exciting new project, especially the five that graduated directly from the VHLM: @Advantage, @InstantRockstar, @KaleebtheMighty, @rjfryman, @thadthrasher. Thanks a lot to the five of you for your time helping our new member base in the VHLM! Oh, and good luck to @FrostBeard as well, the sole VHLE GM not directly graduating from the VHLM. The new league should have some nasty competition from the get go, considering the level of these inaugural managers. In other news, @Zetterberg has also informed us a bit earlier in the season that he would be stepping down from his role with the Mississauga Hounds at the conclusion of this season. Once again, let me thank you for your work at the head of the team and for everything you have done in regards to recruitment and retention in the last couple of seasons. For those at home counting along with us, yes, this means that d_a and I are looking to hire SIX new General Managers in the next week or two, in order to fill all of our vacancies. As of the end of these playoffs, all of Houston, Miami, Mississauga, New Mexico, Philadelphia and San Diego won't have a GM anymore. We invite the interested members to apply directly in this thread. Please refrain from commenting on other applications, either positively or negatively.
