  8. Kisshan “The Streak” Shan Who’s this? Well well well, it has finally come the time to tell the story of Kisshan "The Streak" Shan. A young boy from Great Russia who unexpectedly grew up not knowing his true talents for the sport in which we love and praise "HOCKEY!" This rollercoaster of a ride starts way back from his childhood days with his addiction to video games all the way to his debut to the VHLM. In this piece of writing, you will get to know the life of this soon to be star! Shan is Born On the 21st of March in 2001, Kisshan Shan was born in the Russian Children’s Hospital. Just an average kid, going to an average school, getting average grades and living an average life. During his childhood, Kisshan just grew up as a typical kid in this world. He, as many kids were, was also addicted to video games playing games like FIFA and NHL. Ironically, even during this time he never put on a pair of skates. As the days went by, Kisshan suddenly developed an affection towards watching the pros go at it in the NHL. His favourite team in the NHL were the Montreal Canadiens, a prestigious team in which he loved to watched play. His idol players from the team were players Alexei Kovalev and Saku Koivu, his admiration for the Russian and Finnish forward led him to be the man he is today. Even at this time, Kisshan never found his passion to actually play the sport recreationally but rather only skated along for fun with his friends during the Russian Winters. Only at the age of 13 is when the miracle moment had occurred, after countless hours of watching hockey on TV he decided that he wanted to play for the Moscow Reds in the U13 Russian house league. Now, this is where the real story begins… The Streak is Born Kisshan had finally put on his first uniform on and started to play for the Moscow Reds. His season surprisingly started off with what he thought were lucky plays for the team. But his coach realized that he wasn’t more so on the lucky side but rather had a gift. In his first ever game, he recorded 2 goals and 1 assist resulting in his first victory with the Moscow Reds. A few days later, the coach decided to invite Kisshan for a private on-ice session in their home arena. The coach realized Kisshan’s gift and wanted to help out on his abilities. Day after day, Kisshan kept playing games and trained privately with his coach. At the end of the season, Kisshan played 32 games, got 41 goals and 52 assists. He received the Most Valuable Player award and was recognized in the Top 5 rankings in Russia for his age group. Kisshan then leads the Reds to win their regional championship and was then recognized as the top prospect in Russia. An unbelievable stat line and great talents for the first-year kid who eventually received the nickname “The Streak” for his incredible speed usage on the ice. The Move At the age of 15, Kisshan realized he wanted to take his talents to North America so that he can pursue to play hockey full time. After making his decision, he said a farewell to his parents, packed his gear and was on his way to Mississauga,Ontario. Over there, he played for a high school team which goes by the name of the Mississauga Cats. Once again, Kisshan did not disappoint and absolutely shredded in the league. He was continued to be named “The Streak” and soon went up the rankings as one of the top prospects. The kid was literally speeding through the ranks and many were in shock of his abilities. At the small age of 15, he even just decided to play with the U18s who play in the AHL. In the AHL, he played with the Laval Rockets which is located in Montreal, Quebec. Once again, even the AHL was no match for him as his speed was just unmatchable against his opponents. Laval had acquired an insanely gifted youngster who needed more of a challenge. After further speculation, at the age of 17, The Streak was finally noticed by one of the big leagues, the VHLM. A New Beginning On a fine August evening in Montreal,Quebec, Kisshan was laying in bed watching a movie. A few moments later, his phone started to ring, unable to find his phone he searched through the sheets of his bed. Down to the final rings of his phone, Kisshan had finally picked up the phone. The General Manager of the VHLM Club “Oslo Storm” had offered Kisshan to come to play for them in the VHLM. Out of joy, Kisshan dropped the phone and began to tear up, all his dreams were finally about to begin. He never thought that he would be in this situation when he first put on a pair of skates. This young prodigy is now about to start a career in which many young kids hope to achieve when they get older. He was just a few years ago just an average kid living an average life. But now, he is about to enter the VHLM as one of the top prospects to go on in the VHL. A few days after the call, he had gone on to sign his contract and meet his fellow teammates. He Speaks “I love my life right now, the state I currently am in could not be better. I want to be focusing on the future right now though. My life can easily get distracted with anything but right now I want to play hockey and only hockey. My road up to this point may be called destiny, but I’ll guarantee that I am still working as hard as I can. This is only the beginning, I am ready to do more as a player on and off the ice, to just be a proper member of this whole organization and then my true legacy will follow. (1026 words)
  9. Review: Wondering why this interview was overlooked...... another one of those natural interviews that are a good read. Nice job!
  10. Review: Honestly this was a really good biography, literally the only thing wrong was that you didn't really format anything for the title like at the beginning. But still a really great job.
  11. Review: Great storyline man, pictures were a nice touch but maybe a little more colourful boarding could've been nice. Great to live up to the kid anyways haha.
  12. Review: A nice comeback story and great decor as well. I always love all these media spots that are nicely presented. (That gif/video was sick!)
  13. Review: Wow that was a very good read, seemed like I was Nathan for a while there. In all a good story that was told really descriptively, keep doing you brother.
  14. Review: Few grammar mistakes but in a whole I like the very natural style of storyline you put in here like the hockey over football and all that. Seems something relatable to some players out there.
  15. KIsshan "The Streak" Shan is quickly rising up in this scenes. After receiving his nickname, we can all definitely tell he is quick the speedster. His new performances are catching the eyes of all the scouts out there with his rookie performances for Oslo Storm. With only 19 games played, he has gotten 5 goals and 8 assists resulting in 13 points. There's no stopping this kid as his growth is only getting faster. We would love to see more and more from the kid and hopefully also see him shine for Team Asia. Yes it's true, the boy who entered the VHLM just 2 weeks ago has already been selected to play for Team Asia. I guess nobody expected a new wonder to come out, but I got a good feeling about this one. With the S63 Draft getting closer and closer to us, Kisshan Shan's rankings seem only to be higher by the days. That's all for today, we will catch up on the youngster's career next time!
  16. Player Name: Kisshan Shan VHLM Team: Oslo Storm Cash you have: $1,000,000 Purchase Name: The First Generation Cost of Purchase: $500,000 Cash Left: $500,000
  17. Name: Kisshan Shan Age: 17 Position: RW Height: 5' 11" Weight: 175 lbs Right Handed Birthplace: Russia Nickname: The Streak Overview Kisshan Shan is a brand new rookie who is from the Motherland by which we know of Russia! He only started to practice playing hockey at the age of 13 but surprisingly, he started rocking up the arenas very quickly. Winning countless regional tournaments, MVPs, honour awards, and eventually noticed to be selected to play in the VHLM. After that, it was all a new beginning for the youngster as he continues to grow out to eventually stand out and be seen by VHL scouts. Speed: Kisshan is widely known for his insane speed, gliding through everyone as if it's nothing and putting defenders to shame. He uses his quickness to the best of his abilities and tries to lead his team into many scoring opportunities. Scoring & Passing: Along with his speed, Kisshan knows very well how to set up his teammates and even to notch a couple of his own in which leads to scoring outcomes as well. In every game, you can easily rely on him to put the puck in the net. A team lacking in the ability to score would easily love Kisshan as it is his main focus in a game. As a Person: Aside from what he can do on the ice, Kisshan is a very loving person in the real world. He is a cheerful person and never negative towards anyone except himself. Only bullies himself up to be a better player. Although you can easily get a good talk out of him whenever you do talk to him. Physicality: With his height and weight, it is inevitable that the kid's physicality will be very poor. His physique just isn't constructed to be that sort of player, even with that heart of his to play the game this is a downfall for him as a player. Defense: As expected, this Right Winger does struggle immensely on the defensive side of things. He can easily use a lot of work towards the backcheck and needs to learn to keep the puck away from his own net. A hard skill to learn but hopefully, will soon grow out of this struggle. As a player: Now aside from who he is as a person, Kisshan can easily get tensed on the ice. Not necessarily towards anyone but more towards himself. His desire to win drives him to be too perfect. He keeps beating himself up for the smallest and natural errors. It is honestly just a hockey guy's instincts, no matter what positive outcome, he will always find something he can improve on. The So-Far Stats GP: 19 GOALS: 5 ASSISTS: 8 POINTS: 13 Rookie Rankings: 7th Statistically speaking, Kisshan is doing really decently in his first year in the VHLM. He is using his forward abilities as best as he can and is providing his team with the role he offered at the start of his career. If you notice in the rookie standings, the players on the top 10 standings have all played a lot more games than Kisshan has. Most of them have played 34 games and Kisshan is creeping up the rankings as he has already surpassed certain players who have played more than him. If he continues to grow like such, his career may lean towards star performances. A few words from the man himself on the future "I would like to formally announce the current and future state of my career. I would just like to say that it is so far so great. I can guarantee that I am only getting better and will continue to grow. I want to make all the young fans proud and show everyone what I am capable of. The future is still yet to come so everyone just wait patiently as a new star is about to enter the scene!"
  18. Well hello everyone After a couple weeks in the VHLM, I would like to finally come out and speak to all you guys out there on the start of my journey. After finishing high school and realized that I can take my talents to the big leagues, I can finally say I am proud of what I have done so far. I just want to fill in my missing information and say certain things of my current state so far. This is my first EVER public speech, so mind me for the vague and most likely horrible execution as I didn't do too well in English class back in the days either! Entering the VHLM for the first time was honestly a great ride. With learning and getting familiar with teammates and officials, I think I am getting along with everyone pretty well. After a few games of the season, I had picked up my very first goals and notched up a couple of assists for some of my teammates. On the ice, my main focus is to help my team in the scoring department as I feel we are lacking in that department in this moment of our season. I try to do so by feeding Shawn Mendes who in my opinion is having a great season so far and helps our team in many ways. I am hoping to do more for Oslo and hopefully continue to try to defend our title! Currently, after playing 19 games, my stats read 5 goals and 8 assists leading up to a total of 13 points. This performance puts me 7th on the rookie standings for the VHLM. I believe that coming into the league, my performance is decent but could definitely be much better. Like I said before, I will try my best to better myself and put on a show to progress my career in a successful path. We are just halfway through the season, so no worries for now because we know we can do better than what we are doing as of now. Our players are only warming up for this season and we will show everyone what we are really made of. Aside from the VHLM, my career in the WJC also took quite a start as well. After getting the call that I have been selected to represent Team Asia in the new WJC, the tears had come straight out of me. I am so happy to play for my team and in all honesty, really think we got a great shot in winning the whole thing. With stars like Kovalev, Kovalchuk, and Crimson, we are definitely looking like strong contenders. I did not really expect to get selected for the team as I am fairly new and young. Although it is an honour to play for Team Asia and I hope to put on a show for us as a team. For club and country! As they always say. Anyways, hopefully, my career will continue to progress not just for myself but for Oslo as well. The VHL draft is nearing closer and closer and my ranking is only getting better and better. I would like to make my family and friends proud by continuing to progress in this journey. Once again, sorry for the poor speech as this is really my first time and it was very nerve-racking. I hope to speak to you all again another time. But as for now, it's time to get back to the grind! (588 words) Claiming for PT week Sep 3-9
  19. 1) There were a lot of big trades this week; Sidney Crosby to Las Vegas, Ryan Kastelic to Ottawa and Dylan Nguyen and Ryuu Crimson to HFX. Which of these do you think will be the most significant trade? In all honesty, in my opinion, the most significant would be Nguyen and Crimson. Halifax just keeps getting better and this expansion team is now a really strong contender for the cup. 2) If you were a GM, and you held the number one pick in the draft, which Season 63 Draft Prospect would you select? I think I would go for Ryan Kastelic, he seems to be earning TPE at an insane rate and seems like he will do great things for the future. In all honesty, if he does not get drafted first, I will be pretty shocked. 3) We're now halfway through the season, is your team higher, lower or about what you expected in the league standings? I did not think my team would be as down as we are now, I was hoping to do more for my team to help them defend the title. Although, it is still only halfway through the season and I am sure we can bounce back from this rough start. 4) The World Juniors rosters have been announced; a) (If you made a team) Who do you think is going to be the star player for your roster? I know this is not just one player but I can easily see Crimson, Kovalev, and Kovalchuck doing amazing for our team as we look like strong competitors for this thing. 5) In regards to your player and his attributes, what's the one area you plan to improve the most between now and the end of the VHLM season? Seeing as my player can kind of score but does more of passing, I want to help my team score in general as we kind of lack in that department. I will try to imrove my scoring for the most part. 6) I set up a new account @Uncapped TPE Opportunity that's been tagging members for new uncapped TPE opportunities, has this been useful to you at all? Just seen this, hopefully I can use this and will most likely definitely help me thank you!
