This wasn’t much of the case considering we have something like 8 forwards and still have cap space. Did I want to trade Kovalchuk? Yes. Did I want to give him away for free? No? Why would I? It’s not like I NEEDED to trade him. I wanted to trade him. He’s a 650 TPE player after regression which is only 50 less than your player. If the league wasn’t so full and this was season 57, I’d have zero issues getting quite a bit for Kovalchuk. New league, new times. Why on earth would I give away a 650 TPE player away for free to improve another team just to sign an FA that had less TPA? Of course I’d need value back in that situation.
