  1. @YayIWin While you've been deceased for some time on the VHL, your enthusiasm and shit was there. If somehow, this post makes you come back, I encourage you to get back on this, kick some ass and yada yada.
  2. I think we've got a good player on our hands here. Was nice to see you come back. You're a big member full of experiencer and wisdom and it's always great to see a comeback from quality members. I think if you stick with it, you'll have a pretty decent player on your hands. Time will tell I guess, but I'm gonna say you're a great role player who averages somewhere around a PPG. That's just guessing though as the sim surely has a lot of randomness and fuckery.
  3. There they are!
  4. Surprising win! Expected more from CGY with the big assets brought in. I like the look of this series though. Could be a little preview of what will come in the future.
  5. I'll send lines in the earlyish afternoon.
  6. 1. Based off overall successes and what not, maybe a 7. We've had some great success and finally got that cup. For longevity, rebuilds and all the work and such i put into my players (and all those who have stated they're here for me etc), I'd say 7.8. I'm not too sure if that's too harsh on my self. I feel like ive been a great, charismatic GM but am trying to realistically rate myself. 2. False, but also true. Everyone has their own prices. You ask for a player whose untouchable on another team and the price is crazy. Same here. You ask for their top guys or others and sometimes they value them more than you for different reasons. Team needs, cap, team positions, the person etc. I've strayed away from the consistent contact and have found more patience in my ways as I've matured into the role as a GM in the VHL. 3. I love being GM. Do I wish i could enjoy the league? Of course. Additionally, the critics at times got to be a lot, however and again, with experience and maturing. In the role you look passed that - know people talk and it's fair and reasonable and at the end of the day do what's best for the guys on the team. I'm going to miss GMing a lot when i step away and fear as though I may regret that action. I have some left in the tank. Unsure how much but Yeah! 4. It would make it more interesting but at the end of the day I see it only best for it to come from the league expanding, proper and effective retention and clearly, a large member and player base. If those come, so will greater FA's. 5. 3/10. Lots of people joined, most left. We did gain some decent members but even those aren't what you'd consider great (some may be, most aren't). We got the right idea. I'm not bashing. We found a significant and great way to recruit. Now we need to find the cure for retention. 6. Didn't watch it but she's hot. Good for him! 7. I will once I eat and shower. Long day working in the rain and hail

  16. MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN
  17. I'd like to have seen it in red, tbh. However, this does have "elegance" written all of it. ?
  18. Wanna hear something sad? For the longest time, your name meant nothing to me. I just thought it was some cool name that you thought up one more while brewing a fresh pot of coffee and entertaining your kids. Probably sad, hey? Wish Warlock could have stayed in Seattle. If we could have gotten a fire under him, it could have been the right move and maybe, just maybe prevented the unavoidable rebuild for another season if we played the deck of cards right. Though, the cards we were dealt pushed us to make a move and unfortunately, that was the route. Davos seems to have good pieces. I think Warlock will be in good hands. @Green
  19. Good, man. I'm not really one to critique as I'm not the best of writer, nor am I amazing with grammatical shit and such. Furthering, I mean, graphics - not my forte. However, while I love looking at the graphics some of these guys can do (special shout outs to @STZ @Bushito @Pandar @solas), I really enjoying seeing you write too. I love seeing peoples perspectives and feelings come to life in an article. It opens the door for conversation and activity. If we're being honest, spruce it up a bit. Format it, add pictures and make it look a little nicer and neat, imo. Other than that, man - it's solid work and I look forward to reading more. You've definitely been brought along for "quite the ride" in Quebec. Rebuilding can be tough, but stick with it, keep improving your player and much reward will come to you and the Meute. @DollarAndADream this is my first review TBH. Proud?
  20. Blake Campbell was once voted "Most likely to go inactive" during his reign behind the Bears bench, along with "Most likely to have no idea what they're doing". To be fair, it could have been because he was a new GM, because despite not having numerous cups after an extremely long career, it's tough to say his career wasn't a success. While some measure success in different ways, from a GM standpoint, there's a bunch of ways you can do it. He's reach success at every single level of the game. He's won championships and GMoTY awards in the VHLM and heavily dominated under Bratislava. During that time, he also brought America to within one gamer of capturing gold - thus, grabbing a silver in S46. The following world championships, he managed to somehow defeat all odds and bring home a gold medal with team Scandinavia. Literally defeating all odds and somehow pulling it off. At one point, someone was heard as to saying he couldn't be stopped. That as of late, he was one of the most winningest GM's during that span of time. He was dominant. For the VHL, he finally captured his cup. He took him seasons and seasons of effort, determination and dedications, but he finally grabbed it. He's had countless players come through the locker room doors, many critics call him out and after 700 games+ behind the Bears realm, he finally finds his way to lifting the cup over top his head. I can't imagine, after all those seasons, how light that thing felt. How amazing it was to look up and have the Continental cup be the only thing you see. It's what he dreamt of for seasons. It's what haunted him for years. It was his biggest goal and it was his dream. So Blake Campbell captured a cup as a goalie for New York, during which he also collected his only Aidan Shaw. He's won the championship and GMoTY in both the VHLM and VHL as a manager and has a silver medal and gold medal to his name. Slowly, but definitely surely, he's approaching 1,000 games straight of exceptional, loyal and dedicated manager service to the Bears. You'd think it's almost time for him to say good bye to the league. Not many GM's make it this long without stepping away to take a break before making a return. In fact, we'd love to take a look and see who just is the longest tenured, one time GM... He's accomplished lots. Came across so many amazing people. Helped so many of those people along the way... So what's next? Obviously another cup would be great. I'm more so taking it season by season at this point. I don't know if this will be my last, next will be my last. I don't know If I'm lasting 2 years, 4 years or another 700 games. I really don't think it will be 700 games - that's quite an amount of time, but you never know. I've enjoyed my time here and the championship runs we've had throughout my time. Obviously, one being a lot more special than the other ones. I'd love more cups. Everyone wants more and hopefully I can find that one last cup... but one thing I'd also love another shot at would be a medal. I mean, gold would be excellent, but I'd settle with Silver or even bronze so that I can complete the Gold, Silver and then officially Bronze I'd have in my hockey cave at home. S60 could very well be my last time to compete in the World Cup of Hockey for the VHL. Hopefully my name will be up for consideration from the VHL and WCH commissioners. It would be a big honour to potentially represent a team internationally one last time. 638 WORDS - DOUBLE WEEK - 12 TPE - MATTIAS FORSBERG
  21. I think Quebec still has a ways to go on their journey through the rebuild.
  22. McAllister is an easy vote. No one is here anymore to lobby for Cornerstone.
