Today it was announced that Gucci Garrop has locked into a sponsorship with the Viking Brand along with many other stars from the VHL and the VHML. People chose the Viking brand for a variety of different reasons, the quality of the team, the cutting edge technology when it comes to skates, sticks, and equipment, the added sponsorship money that the Viking Brand offered, or the kick ass logo. However, when he spoke to Gucci Garrop he claimed the decision was entirely based on who was first. "I am a busy man, I have got to get training for the upcoming VHML season, I don't have time to sit around and wait for phone calls and worry about the decision. So I decided to just sign with whoever asked me first and that was the Viking brand." He added that he was also a big fan of the roster they have resembled and the quality of their equipment but he reiterated that the reason he signed with them over other brands is entirely because they asked him first.

"Before I talk about my new team, I would just like to say a thank you to the Saskatoon Wild. I am not going to lie, the half-season I spent there was difficult. I was promised first-line minutes but I ended up not getting any minutes at all. However, I am still grateful to that organization for letting me use their practice facility for the last couple months of the season and wish them the best in the future. On the other side of things, I am ecstatic that the Takhini Arena's decided to take a chance on me in the draft. I will do everything I can in my one season there to bring is a VHML championship. Not sure if they plan to use me on the wing, as a first liner or a second liner, but frankly I don't really care.
