  1. Guntis Gavilrovs and the Houston Bulls ended their incredible season with a very tight 7 game series against the eventual champs the Saskatoon Sonsabitches. The Bulls were up in their series 3-2 and the Sonsabitches came back and won game 6 in 5 overtimes, yes five, then won game 7 in a tight one. Unreal and understandable nickname for an otherwise great organization. Either way the Bulls and Gavilrovs had a great playoffs and were tought to beat. Gavilrovs led the team in scoring with 12 points in 13 games, 3 goals and 9 assists. Guntis also had 44 hits and 23 blocks in the 12 games. A very strong playoffs for a the big Latvian defenseman. He now looks on to the S91 draft where he's expected to be one of the better Dmen in the draft class. Guntis will likely move on from the Bulls next season assuming he plays in the VHLE or VHL, but he loved his time in Houston and his GM's and teammates were fantastic! Will always be a Bulls fan and proud alum!

    No more VHLM hockey to be played What a ride it was for the Bulls, clearly the second best team in the league. Congrats to the Wild. Wow, as a Minnesota Wild fan, it's kinda fun saying the Wild have won the Cup...anyway, here's one more presser.

    1. We were better, they got ;ucky in 5th overtime and again in game 7. We should be the champs but shit happens.

    2. We're the best team. Another team just won the championship is all.

    3. I think it would have been close cuz Logan Ninefingers but in the end we'd prevail.

    4. I will be part of the VHL draft and I guess the VHLE draft also? Should be fun.

    5. Guntis will lift heavy this off-season so he can be even more physical next season.

    6. Sneaking this in right before deadline on xmas eve lol, just spending time with family. happy holidays man.

  3. Houston Bulls vs Saskatoon Wild has definitely lived up to the hype, coming off a 5 Overtime performance in game 6 that saw the Wild somehow stay alive to tie the series 3-3. It's been a back and forth match up with a decisive game 7 that could be happening as I type this... Houston has played great and are getting fantastic goaltending, very strong play from their defense and clutch scoring from the forward group. Our own Guntis Gavilrovs had had a great series on the blue line with numerous top 3 stars, tons of hits and leads the team in points so far, can he bring another big performance in game 7 to help his team move on to the finals! Would be a big match up going against Logan Ninefingers and the Reapers but let's stay focused on winning one more game vs Saskatoon first! Should be a great game 7!

    Semi-finals, all tied, ready to push and take it home? If you haven't answered a press conference this week, feel free to answer this one, we're kinda all over the place because of the mess I've turn the schedule into. Without graphics this time, I'm literally making it on the go, the bloody December is always too busy!

    1. Mississauga took the lead twice in the first round. How nervous were you when we were down?

    2. After being down 1-2, Pipo Popa closed the door and shut the Hounds out for their second shutout of the series, it ended up being a 1-0 overtime win. We then won another 2 straight games, only allowing 1 goal in each. Was the game 4 the defining moment of the series?

    3. I think we can all agree that Pipo Popa was the first round MVP, only allowing 8 goals in 6 games. However, who was/were MVP runner-up(s)?

    4. How about your player in the first round? How happy are you with their performance? What do they need to improve in the following rounds?

    5. Saskatoon Wild, the top regular season team. Does it make them the favorites? How much stock do you put in regular season success, comes playoff time?

    6. This round is a clash between the team with the best goalie and the hottest start in the league, and the regular season winning team. Do you think the winner of this series will be a serious favorite to win it all?

    (I know a lot of tagged people already posted last week's PC this week because of my messy timing, it's okay it should be approved no problem, but I'll tag everyone just in case)

    1. Solid opponent in round 1 but I was never really worried.

    2. I'd probably say so, we turned the corner there and shut them down.

    3. I agree and would also say Gavilrovs and Mcflopper were good also

    4. I think Guntis played well, was real physical and strong on D and racked up a good amount of assists also.

    5. Anything goes in playoffs, currently in game 7 so we'll see!

    6. Hard to bet against this group ;)

  5. Houston Bulls defenseman Guntis Gavilrovs finished as the league leader in powerplay goals with 14 and also led all defenseman in goals with an incredible 27 on the season! An unexpected monster goal scoring season by the 6'8" 250 pound physical Dman. He shocked even himself with his goal scoring as he always thought he had a scoring touch but never thought he'd even be close to leading the league in these categories! He even had two hat tricks on the season! In total he finished with 27 goals, 43 assists and 70 points in 72 games. Pretty unreal for a guy who came in as a pure shutdown defenseman. His defensive play was also elite as he finished with 187 hits, 79 blocks and a +42 rating, helping the Bulls to the 2nd best record in the league! A very impressive regular season for the big Latvian and he likely raised his draft stock a bit with such a performance. Now he faces the challenge of helping the Bulls in the playoffs as they have their sites set on the cup! Currently it's a tight series the Hounds in round 1 but we know Guntis and company can pull this one out! Their defense and goaltending is elite so they just need a bounce or two and should hopefully win this series!

    1. After such a dominant start, what went wrong so we ended the season as a wild card team?

    2. Las Vegas Aces, a worthy opponent. Not long ago, they were pushing for a threepeat. Can we beat them? How many games will it take?

    3. Are you happy with your player's performance in the regular season? Did they meet your expectations?

    4. Somewhere aound trade deadline I asked who the team's MVP was. Did your opinion change? Who has been the backbone of this team?

    5. Which player will be the X Factor for our team in the playoff run, in your opinion? Not necessarily the top scorer, but a clutch guy who changes the momentum.

    6. Are you staying in the M for another season, or are you moving on?

    @STZ @DDZ_44 @Jamomayo @Syzygy @sportexperts show @mattyIceman @Dee @fonziGG @axtron @wcats @Girts @Arce @npuBeT

    1. Nothing went wrong we still finished with an incredible record and 2nd best in the league, just finished 2nd in our conference is all. We still rule!

    2. Yes we def can but we gotta beat mississauge first and it's too close right now lol

    3. I'm thrilled, exceeded my expectations. Good hits and leading goal scorer for dmen and league leader in ppg, im amazed.

    4. I'd still have to say Pipo Poppa but we have a lot of worthy skaters as well

    5. Guntis Gavilrovs, obviously ;)

    6. I don't know yet, I love playing for the Bulls but have a lot of tpe

  7. Houston Bulls defenseman Guntis Gavilrovs now leads all blueliners in goals with 23 after a 4 goal outburst this week against Miami. All four goals came on the powerlplay to make this achievement even more amazing. Gavilrovs has become a goal scoring machine of late and now ranks near the top of the league in powerplay goals as well with 11 on the season among all players. Last week in our article we mentioned Guntis Goals were trending and he had a chance to take over the lead in goals by a defenseman. Now Guntis Goals has gone viral and he leads the charge as we head into the final games of the season. What's also cool his teammate DB IV is the closest defensman to him with 21 goals and is also having a fantastic season. The Houston Bulls have one of if the best blue lines in the VHLM and will be tough to play against in the playoffs, especially if they continue to get heavy goal scoring from their Defense. Gavilrovs 4 goal performance shows he's not just an elite shutdown defenseman, his offensive game is real and he's proving to be a huge asset to the Bulls this season.

    1. We're still 3 points behind the second place LVA and 4 points behind division leading SSK. Can we get past at least one of them this week?

    2. Us, LVA and SSK are the only teams to significantly imorove their team via trades. Which team came out of the deadline the strongest?

    3. There should be a few re-creates joining the M, what's the biggest selling point of joining the Houston Bulls rather than other teams?

    4. Do you prefer advancing right to the playoffs after having a few days off, or would you rather go through the wild card round to stay sharp?

    5. How majestic playoff beard can your player grow?

    6. Has it already snowed this Autumn where you live?

    @STZ @DDZ_44 @Jamomayo @Syzygy @sportexperts show @mattyIceman @Dee @axtron @wcats @Girts @Arce @npuBeT

    1. We passed Vegas and are close to those jerks from Saskatoon but we may not catch them, it's gonna be close though! I think we can do it!

    2. We did cuz we are the best and have the best GM's. We will win it all.

    3. See above, lol. We are a strong team, star players and well managed

    4. I like having a few days off to recharge my battery and then come in refreshed and ready to go.

    5. at 6'8" and 250 pounds his playoff beard is more majestic than a wooly mammoth.

    6. Yes but nothing major yet

  9. Houston Bulls defenseman Guntis Gavilrovs is becoming quite the goal scorer lately, 2 more goals today vaults him into 2nd place among defenseman in the entire VHLM with 16 on the season! I He's only 2 behind the league leader and it's possible he could pass him very soon. #GuntisGoals is definitely trending. It's quite remarkable that a player who came in as an elite shutdown defenseman could developing his scoring touch so quickly but Bulls fans and management are happy to see it. Gavilrovs is still playing his elite shutdown game out there and throwing tons of hits, up to 133 on the season, good for 7th in the league and 4th among defenseman. His +25 rating also ranks 4th among defenseman and his blocks are solid at 65, especially given the fact that Houston doesn't allow a ton of shots against, especially early in the season. Gavilrovs now has 16 goals, 32 assists and 48 points in 52 games, nobody expected this kind of offense from the 6'8" 250 pound bruiser, but fans, coaches and management are hoping it continues into the post season!

    1. A few not great sims, and we've come back down to earth, currently occupying 3rd division spot. Is this the team we are, or just a bad stretch?

    2. We had a few newly created players joining the squad, what do you think made them interested in joining Houston? Are we the hotspot for new guys?

    3. With the trade deadline approaching very quickly, are there any particular moves you'd like to see the management doing? Any weakness to address?

    4. We're over halfway through the season, who has been our MVP so far, in your opinion?

    5. Halfway through the season is also a great time to project - who do you think will lead the team in points in the end?

    6. Do you support NHL reaching out to fans worldwide with events like the Global Series, or would you prefer the teams to stay in NA and focus on playing?

    @STZ @DDZ_44 @Jamomayo @Syzygy @sportexperts show @mattyIceman @Dee @axtron @wcats @Girts @Arce @npuBeT

    1. We were bound to come back to reality a bit, I think we're still playing very well there's just two other teams right with us. We are the best team in the league imo

    2. Anytime you see a team dominating like we were people will want to be a part of it. Plus we have an awesome logo.

    3. I think just figure out the best way to play with the new guys we have now.

    4. I still have to say our goalie Pipo Popa, he was a big reason we got out to such an insane start and is still playing very well

    5. I think Everdeen is a good bet to finish as our top scorer, should be able to hold off the two Dmen behind him, mclfopper is hot tho so could catch them all.

    6. I think it's fine, we have players from all over the world so we should reward their countries fans with some events.

  11. Logan Ninefingers might as well have 20 fingers and 4 hands because he is absolutely obliterating the VHLM this season. In just 36 games he has 31 goals, 49 assists for 80 points!! What the heck is going on with this guy! He's 26 points ahead of the next person in scoring behind him at 54. Oh and Ninefingers apparently has nine shoulders as well because he's up to 136 hits also! How does this guy find time to hit while scoring well over 2 points per game! At this rate everyone in the VHLM is going to be cutting off a finger and following in Ninefingers footsteps or should I say fingerprints.. You get the idea, the guy is playing so well he was even able to score recently and win a game against the unbelievably talented and gigantic Guntis Gavilrovs and the Houston Bulls. Pretty amazing accomplishment given that the Bulls are the team to beat this season. It's always going to be dangerous playing against Logan Ninefingers and the Philadelphia Reapers but the Bulls still have half a season to figure out how to contain Ninefingers, if it can even be done.. Word is Guntis Galvilrovs is training specifically to shut him down next game. Will definitely be one to watch!

    1. We were 9-1-0 when I posted last week's press conference. We're 21-5-2 now, still leading the league. Are you concerned seeing us slowing down a bit?

    2. A trade with the Kings came through, as we acquired Nico Belique, Arne Holmquist and a 3rd rounder for a 1st and a 2nd.

    3. Do you see us making another trade(s) before or at the deadline, or are we set?

    4. Belique has reached the M TPA cap and Holmquist is very close to the cap as well. Aren't there too many chefs in the kitchen now?

    5. There's no US born player on our team. Does your player care for the upcoming Thanksgiving? Are they gonna celebrate it despite the schedule being ruthless?

    6. Jay Woodcroft has been released by the Oilers. Do you think it was a step in the right direction? Can you see more major changes coming soon?

    @STZ @DDZ_44 @Syzygy @sportexperts show @mattyIceman @Dee @axtron @wcats @Girts @Arce @npuBeT

    1.  We still rule. Our record is great even with losing a few lately, it was bound to happen but we're still like 27-7-2 or something insane like that.

    2. Yes we made a trade. Couple good players should help us esp in post season.

    3. Our GM's are the best in the biz so whatever moves they make are the right ones! Stay or add I'm good with either as long as we win the cup! ;)

    4. Both of them should only help our depth which is good even if a couple less points for the top guys

    5. Guntis celebrates Latvian Thanksgiving. It's basically normal thanksgiving but more meats on sticks.

    6. I think given how talented the team is and how they started the coach had to go, it was inevitable. They should start winning more games now but I think will need another defenseman and veteran back up if they want to make playoffs and go deep.
