  1. In what has been a forgettable and disappointing season for Pat Svoboda, the Swedish right wing is attempting to find some glimmer of hope and salvage his numbers a bit. "Well, I guess on a team that's now packed with shooters on every line, from me to Dahlberg to Ryuu to Drago, you don't really need a volume shooter and my attempts have seemed to fall flat. But I'm glad I can at least say, while my personal regression is embarassing, I've reached double digits in goals, I just reached 10 in our last game. Who knows, there's still 16 games left, maybe if my shooting percentage corrects itself or I go on a hot streak, I can hit 20 goals before the season is over. I guess that's the best I can hope for, so that's my goal to finish out the year. Davos wants to hang on to third place and hopefully I can help us to do that, and then show up more in the playoffs for sure. I'm working on passing a little more since my shooting isn't working out, so if not I can put some sweet passes right on the tape and get some assists to help my squad," said Svoboda.

  3. Pat Svoboda seemed upset by his personal recent performance and Davos' slide down the standings to fifth place. "Oh man, I can't score, can't connect passes, not even hitting as much as I want to, and when I do I keep getting penalties, which is really out of character since I try so hard to be disciplined. And then the team has slid out of fourth place now after a recent losing streak to fifth place, and I just can't figure out what went wrong, I thought this was our year, but we're not playing so well down the stretch here. My shooting percentage is so abysmal that I'm about ready to give up, it feels as if all my work has been for nothing. I've been moved all around the lines, it doesn't matter who I'm paired with, I just can't get anything going and it's hurting my team. I feel terrible about it and I'm really beating myself up, I wish things could turn around with all my heart. I guess I just have to hope next season will be better now, and I'll have to make some major changes over the offseason. Maybe after this team has played together for a year and we find the right lines, it'll be better," said Pat Svoboda.

  6. In spite of trying to compete this year, Davos sits in 7th 30 games in. Big acquisitions of Shawn Glade, Ryuu Crimson, and Veran Dragomir were expected to help, but instead it seems as if the same old story is playing out. Right winger Pat Svoboda spoke about the tough competition in the league this year. "Well, I thought we would be a top 3 team after all the good players we got added to our squad, but we just don't have the chemistry down pat. I think once we start to click we'll start climbing, it's not like there's a mountain of difference. There's a four point difference between us, seventh place, and the third place Vancouver Wolves; it's anyone's game, that's a difference of one loss from them and one win for us. Things can change really quickly if we can start stringing together some wins, and I know I haven't lived up to expectations myself this year. I need to chip in more on the scoreboards and that might make a different in some close matches, get us the extra wins we need to cross the playoffs threshold. I would say first or second place are locked down though, Helsinki and Riga are starting to run away with their leads; I mean Helsinki is 14 points ahead of us, there's no way we're catching them unless they have some sort of catastrophic collapse," said Pat Svoboda.

  9. Just 23 games into the regular season, Pat Svoboda's game has transformed into one unrecognizable to those who watched him last year. He has achieved 70% of the hits he delivered last year, and his 16 penalty minutes have passed the 13 he accumulated in all of S65. Svoboda has tallied 5 goals since the previous article, where his scoring drought was discussed. "It was good to get the first goal, and then the next few came in rapid succession. I feel like there's a lack of chemistry with our lines as a whole, but we're just trying to work through it and generate our offense. Putting me back with Elias Dahlberg should help, I really liked playing with him last year. I only have 4 blocked shots this year, I had 43 in all of last year for comparison, so I need to get back into getting into shooting lanes and preventing scoring opportunities. If I'm not putting the puck in the net, I need to do something. I may be hitting, but I want to be more than just a Swedish goon. Davos needs me, so I'm trying to get my game back and contribute as much as possible in all aspects of the game," said Pat Svoboda.

  12. Pat Svoboda has yet to net a goal 12 games into the season; the Swedish right winger has been rather snake bitten. His zero in the goals column comes in spite of throwing 44 shots on net, and while he's managed to tally 9 assists, he is growing increasingly frustrated with his lack of goal scoring. "I consider myself a sniper and I really worked hard on the perfected my scoring over the summer, so I'm extremely disappointed. I've been putting a lot of shots on net and I've just been super unlucky, even hitting a few posts. I was hoping to have an even better season than last year this season and maybe even hit 50 goals, but I guess that's out the window. I'm pretty disappointed in myself and I'm really hoping I'll turn things around soon. My team is competing this year and they signed me to a multi-year extension, they need me to be producing regular and firing on all cylinders. There's a lot of talent for me to work with on Davos now, there's no reason I shouldn't be putting up great numbers and getting at least a handful of goals. I just need to score one I think and then it'll all start clicking," said Pat Svoboda.
