1. Why do you think GMs should pick you over other prospects? 2. Are you excited for the draft on Saturday? 3. How do you feel about the results of your season in the VHLM? 4. Where do you expect you will be drafted in the order? 5. Have you been contacted by any team's scouts? 6. Are there any VHL teams that you would like to go to? 7. You scored over a point per game in the VHLM, but do you think your scoring will translate to the professional level? 8. You also racked up a lot of hits, why do you think physicality is important in today's modern, fast game? 9. How have you been training over the offseason? 10. What are you looking forward to most about playing in the VHL? -
Right winger Pat Svoboda inked a two-year extension with HC Davos rather than testing free agency. His salary for S66 is $2,698,472 while his salary for S67 is $2,753,957, a slight step down from his current $3,000,000 pay day. While the Swede has glorified winning, at the end of the day, it sounds like sticking together with a good group of guys is his primary objective. "I know there's more powerhouse teams, but Shawn is a great GM and I wanted to stay with my buddy Elias Dahlberg @Nykonax who just signed a three-year extension. I think we're a young, up-and-coming, amazing group who can be a top competitor for that time period during my contract, but regardless of if that pans out, it turns out playoff success is not my primary objective. What matters is to find somewhere that I can be happy and play at my best, somewhere where I have friends and loyal teammates. We all want to be here in Davos, and I'm glad to be sticking around. Now, it's just time to make the rest of the league see what I can see when I look into the future; we're gonna be the real deal."

As the offseason continues, Pat Svoboda made another appearance to the local media and discussed more in-depth his personal goals for the upcoming season. "I mentioned last time that I want to hit 100 points, but I definitely want that to be a goals-heavy total. I'm working to max my scoring in the offseason, so I'm hopeful that 50 goals wouldn't be out of reach; at the very least, if I dare to call myself a sniper, I need to lead Davos in goals for this season. I also loved the extra physicality in my game, so reaching 100 hits this next year would be a nice goal, but not at the expense of taking more penalties. I pride myself on my discipline, so I'll continue to deliver smart and properly timed hits and try to stay out of the box as much as possible. I know plus-minus is a meaningless stat, but I'd also like to be a positive player just because it looks nice on my stat line. My first two seasons I've been -2 both times, so just seeing a positive goal differential would be nice icing on the cake for a good year," said Pat Svoboda.

Pat Svoboda spoke a few words on the lengthy offseason and the upcoming season. "Yeah, it's felt like a really long wait this year. I can't remember if it felt this way last year, but this offseason has been particularly dreadful. Each year, you feel like this should have been the year you finally make it to the playoffs more and more, so this second time around feels like it tacked 1000 days on to the offseason. This upcoming year, we really need to make it and get in a playoff spot, because I don't think I can go through all this waiting again. I can't wait to start the season and to improve upon my numbers from this last year. Dahlberg hit 100 points, so I don't see why I can't aim for that this year. Imagine Davos with three 100 point players, I think that would be something, and I think me joining that tier of players would boost Peace and Dahlberg's stats as well. Dahlberg was in the MVP conversation this year, maybe next year he can be the winner. Who knows, maybe I could even be looking at getting into MVP conversation, but I would settle for just beating my personal bests," said Pat Svoboda.

Davos right winger Pat Svoboda spoke up after his team fell crushingly short of making the playoffs. "Missing the playoffs and being that close was really disappointing; we've had such a better year, I thought we could make it and turn some heads. We were in it almost but then final two games, we choked and we missed out. I don't know how to feel, but I guess it's not quite time to give up hope for next season yet. It'll be a long wait though, and it's not the result we were looking for at all. Our players all grew a lot as a team, and I personally and many other Davos players took huge steps forward in our game, so that's a decent sign. On the plus side, I suppose it's good that we weren't last again and that we are on the brink. Still, it's hard to think positive and it's devastating to team morale. We need to be better in those key situations, we need to win when we need to win, and we need to start strong as well as end strong. That's what playoffs teams do, and if we want to join them, we should be looking to emulate them," said Pat Svoboda.

Pat Svoboda was pumped to have surpassed the 30 goal mark, with 31 goals in 68 games, and seems to be hoping to also achieve 70 points in the season. "30 goals is a great number for a goal scorer to reach for, and I'm thrilled to have hit it. In spite of my struggles last year, I always believed in myself and my abilities, and I've really shown that this year I feel. Davos has been a great place for me to hone my craft and come out of my shell. I have been better, our team has been better, all and all it's just a good year. There's a few games left and we need to hang on to that last playoff spot. I will be aiming to hit 70 points as we finish out and to score some key goals at the right time. Timing is everything and I really want to be a clutch guy down the home stretch. I'll be playing both ends of the ice and maybe doing some head hunting, we'll see. All I know is that me and every other guy on Davos are going to do whatever it takes to make it to the postseason," said Pat Svoboda.
