As the young VHL season started, the Vancouver Wolves were at the top of the league. Beau Louth was leading the way, and they looked to get revenge after last years hilarious playoff exit, where their backup goalie was forced to play because they failed to hit the eight game threshold. Considering I predicted that Louth would win MVP, I was very happy. And then... everything fell apart. It can't even be explained. While they were once at the top of the league, they now sit six points out of a playoff spot, and most recently fell behind HC Davos in the standings. They have seemingly pulled a Buffalo Sabres, although comparing them to the Avalanche would be better. The Avs were at the top of the central early in the year, but went on a horrendous stretch and sat out of the playoffs. Now, they find themselves back in it. Vancouver can only hope for that fate. Unfortunately for the Wolves, the final wildcard spot isn't a tire fire, much like the Western Conference of the NHL is. The Americans have been hot lately, and the Wolves don't look like they are playoff bound, and could find themselves in eighth, behind even Calgary if they continue this horrendous stretch.

1. Last WJC I was on Team World and made the all-WJC team, so hopefully I can dominate for USA, as one of the top players. 2. USA Baby. My home country and couldn't be prouder to represent 3. USA is really good, I think they will take it. Canada is looking good but USA is really solid, they should be able to give Canada a strong fight. 4. I'm getting MVP. I'm confident, even though I am offended I was put on the second line. 5. I'm going to make the all star team, Brady Stropko, Basabara Moose, Elasmobranch Fish, HHH, Joe Nixon. Not sure how many spots there are but that would be my five before the tourney starts 6. The US has the best national anthem tbh. I don't sing it at sports games but it gets me fired up if it is a good performance. If it sucks than it kind of ruins the hype

What about S22 Toronto? They had 126 points, 27 more than second place Helsinki, and lost in the finals

Toronto has been the biggest surprise, considering they were pegged as a team that will miss the playoffs with the loss of Stopko and Ironside. Malenko has made a big impact obviously. 10. Since my player hasn't been great in terms of points, the fact that I'm still a +2 is good. Maybe my two way game is becoming effective for NY

Vancouver went from top in the league to being only one point away from a non playoff spot within two weeks and has ruined my Beau Louth MVP prediction smh

I might cry right now, I didn't realize there was more than two pages for the awards section and my half hour I spent grinding for the answer are wasted because I chose the wrong answer

Wait under the HOF section there wasn't a Shaw Trophy list though? I looked through every hall of fame goalie and looked at every season the goalie won the Top Goaltender trophy to get the answer which took a while. I feel like I'm missing something really obvious

The first one I got easily since I remembered reading something relating to the question and had to do a quik search to find it. Won't get specific to not spoil the answer though
