Dat Offseason Swag Davey Jones has decided to throw an offseason party for all of his teammates and some of his closest friends. He wants to fly everyone to Disney World in Orlando, Florida. He sent out the invitations the following day after the Express had lost to the Titans in the playoffs. He made sure that everyone had his number which he put in the invitations for everyone to contact him if they couldn't make it. He also sent out emails for some people who might have been too busy to use the phone and also just in case the ones sent in the mail didn't get there in time. There were a few people who couldn't make it due to their own reasons and Davey understood. He told them that he plans to do this again next year and that they will definitely be on the invite list again the following year. Some of the names that will headline this are, Thomas Landry, Lennox Moher, Gregory Glass, Cody Inko, Ethan Osbourne and Kameron Taylor. Everyone was excited for the chance to all go to Disney and party it up. They all wanted to make sure that they were enjoying their offseason and they were going to be there for 7 days to enjoy the full features the park has to offer. When the plane landed the group of guys went to the car rental place to find a couple cars for them to travel around the area in case they needed to go somewhere or get something. After getting their cars, they went to the hotel to drop off their luggage and to change their clothes into something a little more warmer. The weather is predicted to be all in the 90's throughout the week and everybody wanted to be prepared so they all packed shorts and muscle shirts. They also talked it over and one night they wanted to take a drive out to Daytona Beach and actually enjoy some swimming and surfing. Everyone had to go shopping because they all wanted a few new pairs of swimming shorts and a couple players went and bought surf boards to go surfing with. Davey, Lennox and Greg all went to look for surfboards while the other guys all went looking for swimming shorts. They went to different areas because the surfboards were located at a custom shop that only sold surfboards. Davey told everyone that he would pay for their surfboards as part of the package. When it was all said and done, Davey would go on to spend about $750 on 3 surfboards for the guys. He had no problem with this because it was him who invited everyone on this vacation in the first place. They all headed back to the hotel and they ended up making it back before the other guys and decided they were going to head out to the park. Davey sent a text to Kameron and told him they were headed to the park and to meet them there.

Davey Jones RoTY It's time that Davey Jones addresses the media about winning his RoTY award. It may not be officially announced but many speculate that odds are in his favor and he can't lose. Reporter D: "Davey what does it feel like to win the rookie of the year award?" Davey: "Well it is a great feeling despite not having the trophy just yet. I should be receiving the award right after the VHL Finals finish up. I haven't had a chance to speak with any of the commissioners about their thoughts on me winning the trophy but I am almost certain that I won it. I feel like I was the best rookie in the league and my stats show it. I was a huge part of the success that overcame the Cologne Express and helped lead a nice push into the second round." Reporter B: "Were you worried about how you would have done in your first season in the VHL?" Davey: "Of course I was worried. I am always worried about what will happen to me each time I put those skates on and get ready to play. I mean I could face an injury and it could really threaten my career. I just go out there everyday and give 110% to my coaches and make sure that they know it. I wasn't looking to come in here and win the award. My main goal was to help this club win more games and for us to make the playoffs and hopefully a statement there. Well we got into the second round and many experts projected us to be swept by the Helsinki Titans. Well guess what? We went into the series and stole two games from them. Next year I will be prepared for the battle again and we will not be taken down so easily." Reporter C: "Is there any doubt you won't get the trophy?" Davey: "Of course not. I mean you all know my stats and what I do on the rink. You see me out there playing and doing what I do best. I may not be the best in the league but I sure play like it most of the time. I fill up stat sheets all the time and I am one hell of a person to have in the locker room. I cooperate with all my teammates and you could even say that coach has a soft spot for me. He likes the way I carry myself like a veteran and he just likes my overall swagger." Reporter A: "Was rookie of the year your best accomplishment this past season?" Davey: "Not even close. My biggest achievement was that I got to play a full healthy season in the VHL and to help contribute wins. All I wanted to do for this team was practice and play my heart out for them and in return all I asked was that my teammates supported me through it. They really are the best teammates to have and you should be jealous that they aren't your teammates." Well that is all for today.
