You point the DNS to whatever the invision thing is setup and boom domain works if you can't get that info then you just forward the domain so that when you go to the URL it automatically takes you elsewhere. Also there are people part of the STHS community that do this stuff so if we posted on their forum asking for help someone would lead us down the right direction. Worst case we could probably pay them a bit to hook us up. I would like to volunteer to do this but I really just dont have the time I'm working on another web-site currently ATM.

In the NHL and certain other sports baseball comes to mind you draft players with a larger development window. As early as 16/17/18 or whatever the case may be. It is rare that you draft someone in that sport and then they instantly become an All Star in their rookie season tearing up the league. In the NFL players come in usually around 22 essentially developed physically and just need to mentally adjust to a specific scheme. You get an impact player for a million dollars or less instead of paying 9 million for possibly the same production while trying to stay under the salary cap. There have been plenty of 7th round or even undrafted players in the NFL that have gone on to good careers but get paid virtually nothing till the end of their first contract. When you trade a player due to the contract stipulations you might end up giving them money for years after you trade them anyway and most players that would be on the trade block are also near the end of their contract. No team wants to bring them in unless they agree to a new contract before the deal is done. Usually its just easier for everyone to just cut the losses and take the smaller cap hit and be done with it.

Facebook - This actually did bring a few former members back to the league. It also helps in rare instances for a few random things like our site going down. One of the main reasons it won't ever work to the extent it could though is we have to individually share VHL stuff with people on our own profiles. Most people here probably aren't comfortable enough to share with their 100-300 random facebook friends about the VHL. 60 people on facebook share VHL info with a min of 100 friends thats over 6000 people getting exposed to the VHL. Twitter stuff - I don't think Twitter is really for us unless we had a real dedicated social media expert who could effectively chase down current popular trending and relevant tags. We'd need to hook onto things like OOTP new release versions/NHL 2014 w/e game updates and various things like that. Recruitment Video - We had a VHL contest to give away TPE for people to create recruitment content in the form of an inspiring cool hockey related video or a more informational VHL How to. I think we had like 3 max entries. It has always been a great idea but the truth is there is less than a handful of people in the VHL who can make a video worth using and they haven't done so and we can't blame them. If it ever was made again it has to be used effectively. On youtube everyone has to post comments on it and thumbs up it. I was gonna respond to other stuff but I forgot so this is it for now.

With Kendrick stepping down from GMing I'm not sure what his intentions were after Taylor but hes been basically taking over recruiting for the last 2 seasons. If he is staying around it would be great for him to officially take a role like that and have a few people under him (in addition to Devise/Boom who already have a role) to give it more structure and reliability.

Just to be clear about yearly predictions too when you retire say in the pre-season and earn yearly predictions from the previous year those are supposed to be applied to your currently retiring player and not used on the new one. That is another small rule that people exploit. As far as this thing at hand AwfulHomesick you have to stop taking this personally. This is not about you and your TPE levels this is about all Draftees and the 175 TPE rule. It just so happens you are currently the person who is affected by the rule but this entire thread is more about finally fixing this problem. It has to my knowledge only been used to penalize Moholt and when we find it for other people we just ignore it when presented, don't see it, or when we do realize there was a problem we say its too late anyway and ignore it. When this happened before with Moholt I went back 3-4 seasons and found 3 other people who broke the 175 barrier and still played in the minors. I had a long conversation with Victor about this before probably more so than anyone else here b/c Moholt was on Riga.
