1-The VHL Draft has happened, were you surprised to see players go to certain teams?
Got to say that I am really happy to be part of Moscow's organization. To say I was surprised, no not really, we had high expectation my VHLM teammates and me, and we were delighted to see that everyone was being drafted.

2- We also voted for team captain, what do you think of the way the vote was blind? Wouls you change that for next season?
I liked the blind vote a lot, gave a voice to the newer player. I might change the vote to 3 vote per person just so they can choose their captain and their 2 assistants.

3-Reapers are picking a Mascot this season, How would you narrow down the choices?
I would just narrow the suggestion to what represent this team the most. As simple as that.

4-Who is your new locker room buddy, who are you saving the locker next to you for?
@FrostBeard is obviously my LR bud, he's such a nice guy, even tho he might tell you that I am a little bit weird picking hairs, but what he doesn't tell you is that he helps me doing it quite a few times a year, I mean, that's how nice he is to other people!

5- Why did you pick your jersey number?
Birth date, no real signification apart from that.

7-Worst topping to put on a pizza?
Let's say that people that like Hawain pizza need to go to jail.

1-The VHL Draft has happened, were you surprised to see players go to certain teams?
I truly think that draft was logical except that my buddy Hans Gruber didn't get drafted in first 2 rounds. It was just weird that so many teams passed on one of the best two-way forward prospects in VHL.
3-Reapers are picking a Mascot this season, How would you narrow down the choices?
I would probably narrow the list down by keeping the ones that seem to be more appropriate for VHLM team and then just do an open ballot vote and see what happens. It should be pretty amazing to see what the team chooses!
4-Who is your new locker room buddy, who are you saving the locker next to you for?
I and Edward go long way back - one of the funniest French guys I know. He can get a bit weird though, he collects hair from other lockers and mumbles to himself: "C'est nécessaire pour mes expériences!"
7-Worst topping to put on a pizza?
There is nothing worse in this world than a beautiful and lovely pizza destroyed with a dose of olives on top.
9-Team you want to beat the most this season and why?
I truly believe that the goal should be to beat every team. We are capable of doing that as our squad is well balanced and able to score on anyone.
10- If Walter is driving our team bus, then what are you doing on the bus (make me laugh)?
I will be laughing in the front seat as I know that the bus won't even start with Walter near the steering wheel. The only way how to make the bus go with Walter as a driver would be by pushing it down the hill.

Patpou22 reacted to Jubo in 11 Reapers Drafted into the VHL
Saturday evening presented the league with its 66th VHL entry draft. The VHL has been spoiled beyond imagination following the increased drive and interest over the last few seasons. The VHLM's top rated team heading into season 66; The Philly Reapers, were beyond excited to see their future alumni drafted to their professional clubs. The Helsinki Titans lead the way in interest drafting three Reapers set to join their club in season 67. The draft ran through into the night and when it was all said and done contract offers and training camp invites were sent out like clockwork. The level of excitement from within the Philadelphia franchise resembled that of a New Years party. Each and every member of the organization excited for themselves and their teammates as their hockey dreams inch closer to reality. Philly management was beyond ecstatic to see all of their eligible roster players find a draft destination.

    The following is a breakdown of the drafted players and their respected VHL franchise;

Patpou22 reacted to Jubo in Season 66 Draft Review: Philly Reapers Defense
With only two remaining active roster players (Clements at center and Burst in goal); the Philadelphia Reapers knew they needed to shore up their defense during last nights draft window. With a list of names prepared by @BladeMaiden (GM) and Jubo07 (AGM), the goal was to land a solid high end top pairing and a developing yet promising 2nd pairing. What they did not expect was to have the opportunity to draft five top four worthy defenders and a top goalie prospect (Kolur Bjoernsson) to complement their high end forward core.
    The defenders
Edward Vigneault: 7th overall selection @Patpou22
Perhaps the Reapers most well-rounded defender; coming in at 6 foot 6 and 240 pounds, Vigneault is and will be an elite defender from game 1 to 72+. With a combination of defensive ability, offensive skill and toughness; Edward will make a strong case for dman of the year if his promise holds true. He also has an excellent relationship with the Reapers organization.
Kevin Low: 12th overall selection @Smarch
Defense, offense and speed wrapped into one defender. The perfect top line quarterback with a respectable 6 foot, 210 pound frame. Another probable for top dman when it’s all said and done. Vigneault - Low look to be a lock to play-out the season together.
Brandon LeBlanc: 34th overall selection @Psanchez55
With back to back picks in the 4th round Philly aimed to put together their 2nd pairing on the back-end. The pass first, stay at home Leblanc will provide Philly with a solid leader on the 2nd pairing while killing penalties when called upon. He has developed rapidly over the off-season...keep an eye on this guy.
Duncan Jeffers: 35th overall selection @Tophdaddy
As a member of the Aces last season under GM Jubo07, Jeffers showed great promise as a stay at home dman. With 132 hits and 74 shot blocks the Reapers get exactly the player they wanted to round out their top four. LeBlanc – Jeffers/Kuwanger are expected to shut down the leagues best all season both at five on five and on the PK.
Boomer Kuwanger: 40th overall selection @Hybrid1486
How this player fell to the 40th pick is a head-scratcher. This high skilled - smooth skating - puck moving defender offers the Reapers depth beyond their wildest dreams. Kuwanger will very likely see 2nd pairing minutes as the club works towards developing chemistry throughout the lineup.

    1. Always working hard on the ice, having some good linemates and count on is defense to make some offensive plays.
    2. Julius Freeman all the way, I mean 100 pts and don't know much about the rest of the league, but I guess 100 pts is pretty much a MVP candidate for sure.
    3. I will get more active in the LR, try to get to know some of my teammates a little better, and my best memories were all the W's we got this season.
    4. Some players, including myself, had some work to do, we kinda let VHL down for a moment, that can be a factor, but from now on, I want to be more active and claim as much TPE as I can every single week.
    5. I think we are a contender to the title, I would be very nice for my 1st season!
    6. I think he's amazing, was really friendly with me when I got traded to Halifax, always there when I needed him, answered my questions in no time, really did something great with this team, now it's our time to go on the ice and get him the cup!

    1. In the latter half of the season now and, while Halifax and Minnesota are quite a few points ahead, there is just 4 points separating 3rd and 7th, which of those five teams (Aces, Bulls, Lynx, Rush, Wild) do you think will finish highest at the end of the season?

Aces and Wild are the ones to watch for in my opinion, they are the teams that we are struggling against at the moment.

    2. Since the last set of questions were asked, the World Juniors Rosters have been selected. What do you think about your nationalities chances at winning the tournament?

I got selected for team Asia, I don't really know where we will land, but I'm positive!

3a. Who would you consider the best player on your team?

I don't know a lot of people in the LR, I might try to fit in a little more so I can answer that question down the line

    4. Hunter Hearst Helmsley is currently leading the league in points and goals, do you think there's anyone who can stop him from leading in either come the end of the season?

I don't really care about personnal numbers, all I care about is the W, so I don't get into those kind of numbers

    5. Give a shout-out to one member of your team who has helped you out and why (maybe a member's player has helped your player perform well in the sim, a member who helped you with PT's, etc.)

I've been traded by her, unfortunately, be I got to go with @BladeMaiden, she gave me all the knowledge I needed and I am very grateful for all she has done for me

Patpou22 reacted to SirRupertBarnes in Halifax 21st & Philadelphia Reapers Trade Review
The Halifax 21st have been the top seeded team in the VHLM almost all season long after starting out with a 2-2 record. Their GM decided to bolster their depth recently by trading away a few picks in exchange for some solid rental players.

    Here was the trade:

    Halifax receives:
    Edward Vigneault
    Jet Jaguar
    S66 PHI 3rd
    S66 PHI 6th

    Philadelphia receives:
    S66 HFX 1st
    S66 HFX 4th
    S67 HFX 1st

Philadelphia currently sits in last place at 25 points so this trade makes a lot of sense for both teams. Halifax definitely could use all the depth they can get if they want to finally win their first founders cup in franchise history after losing in both finals appearances they’ve previously been in.

    Jet Jaguar - C/W 174 TPE @gorlab

Jet has been one of the highest weekly TPE earners as of late with the last three weeks earning 20, 25, and 19 TPE. This guy will definitely hit 200 by the time playoffs roll around. He’s been playing second line center with Gaudette and Edvin on his wing. He has 27 points in 34 games played, so he’s not the top producer in the league but still has lots of room to grow before the end of the season.

    Edward Vigneault - D 99 TPE @Patpou22

Edward is fairly new to the VHLM as his first claim was only 3 weeks ago but has been a pretty active player in his short time here. He managed to accumulate 24 TPE last week alone and will continue to grow right through the playoffs. He’s currently sitting on second and third line defense making up about 40% of the ice time. He’s definitely not an offensive powerhouse as he only has 9 points this season but being 6’6 and 240LBs he definitely makes his presence known with his 43 hits and 34 blocked shots.

Along with the two solid players for Halifax, they also received a S66 3rd and 6th round pick. This is good extra addition to add to hefty price tag and gives a small amount of value to retain after this season.

Onto Philadelphia, with only 10 wins in 36 games played they are the definition of a selling team. As an expansion team in their first season they’ve struggled to put up wins night after night. Trading away two of their better players and adding two first round draft picks as well as a fourth will definitely help them grow their team for the future. Splitting the picks with S66 and S67 is a benefit and a curse. Having the two seasons ensures that you’re not putting all your eggs in one basket which is good if there is a weak draft class. The S66 pick is definitely going to be one of last of the first round but the S67 could possibly prove to be good value for the Reapers given Halifax could lose quite a bit of their roster to the VHL this off season. Overall it’s a good gamble to take on Blade’s part and is a fair trade on both sides. It’s yet to be determined who won this trade but as of right now it feels even given both teams filled needs and gave up things they don’t need at the moment.

    Biography of Edward Vigneault

    Chapter 1: Childhood

His story begins in the small town of Baie-Comeau, a mere city of about 20,000 habitants, located in the Côte-Nord region of Quebec. Born of a labor father in the sawmill of the region and a mother babysitter, family income is quite high. He grew up in hockey thanks to his father, Charles Vigneault, the biggest fan of the Quebec City Meute. Indeed, he listens to these religiously every night there is match. Edward is enrolled at a young age in minor hockey of his region. His friends are Louis-Pierre Gauthier and Félix Allard, hockey teammates and classmates at Boisvert Elementary School. Every weekend, Edward, his father and sometimes his friends, go to their cottage located 50 kilometers north of the city to practice their favorite activities: hunting, fishing and relaxing. For weekday evenings, they are dictated by practices, hockey games, improvised games of floor hockey in the street and homework. Edward is clearly not a A+ student, indeed, he has a lot of difficulties at school, but managed somehow to succeed all his courses without failures. This rhythm of life extends throughout his elementary school. However, big changes will be coming for high school.

    Chapter 2: Adolescence

Unfortunately for Edward, he must leave his home town at the age of 12 if he wants to continue his hockey career, his region is very far away, recruiters and coaches don’t go in Baie-Comeau to scout or give camps of improvements. It is rather rare in this region to see a guy with Edward’s potential, so it is under the guidance of the director of minor hockey of Baie-Comeau that Charles, Edward’s father, decide to take a fly for his son to the city of Quebec and to enroll him in a high school there. He must live with friends of the Vigneault family and study at La Camaradière high school in hockey concentration. By no longer living with his parents, Edward have his mother helping him in his homework, that he would then create a drop of grades and a few courses failure. He managed to pass his high school with the help of his friends. On the hockey level, Edward stands out by his physic. His slap shot improves a lot, and he distributes good checks. Unfortunately for him, the different teams of VHLM consider him not mature enough to use a draft pick on him. He started working on weekends in a hardware store’s backyard where he developed strength. Every summer, his father bought him a fly back to Baie-Comeau to see his family and friends. He loved to be back in his region every summer, he was always asking to go to the cottage, since he couldn’t go hunting and to go fishing while he was in Quebec. Fortunately for Edward, every academic year, he was also able to see his parents when they were coming to watch a Meute’s game. He loved to go there with his father because he was analyzing the way every defenseman in Quebec’s team was playing to try to mimic them in his own play. He worked so hard during his high-school years that he got a place in Laval University hockey roster.

    Chapter 3: Becoming a man

Due to his bad grades during his high-school years, he had to do some refresher course to get in human science, since he wasn’t decided about what career he would do in his life. Refresher courses helped him a lot and he finally got good grades without any help. He found an interest in the human mind, he liked to know they way people reacted to a given situation, that’s what motivated him to get through his classes, he finally knew what he would do if hockey wasn’t successful. On the hockey side of things, Limoilou’s team was exceptionally good these years, so good that he did not have that much ice time as he was expected. That fact motivated him a lot to prove himself and give everything he had every single shift. Year went pass and he moved up in the organization’s line to finally get a top 2 role. He developed so much during his cegep’s year that he got  a few elite’s bourses to make his way into the university’s world.

Chapter 4: Living in the man's world

Finally, time for him to get an apartment with a friend that went to Laval University, like him. He struggled a little bit at first but liked having his own house quickly. His room-mate was John Talbot, a teammate from Limoilou. They got on very well and helped each other out in class, because they both decided to enroll themselves in psychology. Of course, they struggled more than in cegep, it’s university after all! But with passion and work, they passed every class they took together. They threw a few parties here in there at their apartment, did some things that they were not proud of, just like any other university student. They played hockey a lot, they were on the same defensive duo in the Rouge & Or, the university hockey team. It was hard at first, after all, they were in the highest non-professional league in Quebec. Their coach was just amazing, developped them in a matter of months into real VHLM ready players. Unfortunately for them, three consecutive year passed without any VHLM team willing to give them a shot. Edward had the impression that he was doing everything right, but that was just not enough. So, as always, he trained harder, worked harder, until one day, one day that he will never forget.

    Chapter 5: Going pro

27th February 2019, Edward is going to get himself dressed for his practice, when he was just about to enter the locker room, his coach was standing in the door, he told him that someone wanted to talk to him in his office and didn’t wanted to tell Edward who it was. Edward, make his way to the coach office, head full of thought, stressed. He makes his way to the door, open it, sees a woman, sitting in the coach’s chair, looking outside the window. He has no idea who that woman is. She turns around to face Edward, and say ‘’Hi, my name is Blade Maiden, I am the general manager of the Philadelphia Reapers, a team in the VHLM league.’’ Edward couldn’t hide his smile, he now knew what was about to happen, his dream was about to become a reality, he will become a professional hockey player! They talked about the term and agreements of the contract for about 1 hour, at the end, Edward signed his 1st professional contract, when he came back to the locker room, everyone was aware of the signing, thanks to his coach. They celebrated like they never did before, finally someone was being signed in their team! That was the beginning of a beautiful story, a beautiful story yet to be concluded…

There has been some buzz around Reapers starting goalie Wendy "Kandee" Cain, with lots of teams noticing her skill and growth, and her big "assets" and would love to add her to their squad. Multiple sources have confirmed Philly GM Blade has been asked if she was looking to move Cain, and we asked Cain what she had to say about it. Here is here answer:

"Yeah I heard the boys are sniffing around to see if they can get a piece of Kandee, there's a reason I bought a condo in Philly. I told the GMs at the draft to fuck off, and I went to where I wanted to in the draft and my GM was able to get some good pieces before swooping around and picking me up late. I want to be in Philadelphia and play for the Reapers. They are a good team with good people, and have a fun locker room. Even if they speak French or are Latvian or cheer for Buffalo (ew) or have kids or are named Walter (Who the fuck names their kid Walter..?), they are still a loveable bunch with heart and a drive to win. No other team has the atmosphere that Blade built in Philly. Did you know Saskatoon doesn't even have custom emojis in their LR? How the fuck am I supposed to express that I'm sad without a blastoise pepe?? Seriously. Get some god damn custom emojis before you even THINK about offering a trade for me. Anyways, Go Reapers, Fuck Houston, and unless you offer four first round picks for me have fun seeing me play for the other team and being jealous. Ta ta~"
