After initially being hesitant towards heading to the Legion, Jerrick Poole quickly changed his mind about the situation after a series of trades that saw Toronto add a number of early picks in the Season 40 VHL Entry Draft. Ultimately, the Legion ended up with picks 3, 4, and 5 in the first round that saw them land center Tyler Cote, defenseman Jerrick Poole, and right wing Sachimo Zoidberg. In addition, the team picked up promising players in right wing Shadhu Rathod Jr. and defenseman Jaime Hill in the second round. Overall, the Legion went from being a team seemingly barren of much talent to a team with a very strong core group of players that appears poised to compete in the near future. When asked about the upcoming season, Poole had the following to say. "I can't wait to get on the ice. It was awesome to win the Founder's Cup with the Lynx last season and it's nice to be reunited with Tyler Cote, who I played with back in Season 38 in the VHLM but most of all, I can't wait to play at the next level. I want to win and I think we have a group of players here who can all develop together and eventually become a powerhouse. I'm definitely looking forward to the next few seasons."

A pretty logical thing to do then would be to, you know, send sterling what you did since you couldn't post it?

Yeah, I'm good, just want to find a way to get the 9 since I don't get the weekly VHLM practice point anymore
-
I can do it!! Now that I'm in the VHL, I think this would be a great way for me to become more familiar with the league while also helping others do the same. Earned 9 TPE+/week all but one week since signing up here so I definitely can be relied on to do this, and do it well, each week.

Yeahhh let's go Toronto!!!!

I think these rules need to be more accessible. As a first-gen, it took a lot of asking around to get the answers I was trying to find so I would be able to create at a time where I could maximize my TPE.

Season 40 VHL Entry Draft Mock Draft
Ninetyfourgoalie replied to .sniffuM's topic in VHCS Draft Rankings
Sorry to break it to you but Jerrick Poole has that designation on lock -
With the draft quickly approaching, I figure there are three possible teams I could end up heading to. Here are my rankings... 3. Toronto Legion Sorry, but I just don't see a reason for this team to be a top destination. There is not much talent on the team and I don't even know if they have active players or a GM because I haven't heard anything from either. It would be interesting to perhaps be the player the team looks to to turn the franchise around but it seems like a big challenge and the biggest goal I have here is to win championships. 2. Helsinki Titans This definitely wouldn't be a bad destination as there is definitely the chance to win early in my career. The only concerning thing would be the imminent blow-up of the team since they probably will be unable to retain everyone on the current roster but it would be cool to sort of be a bridge from one era to another. 1. Cologne Express This is, by far, my top destination but also the most unlikely one. This is the only team with a top four pick now that I've even had contact with and they have a great future and an awesome attitude. Unfortunately, I don't see any reason at all why they would or should make me a top two pick.

For a number or Lynx players, their VHLM careers are coming to a quick close. Forwards Thomas O'Malley, Aksel Thomassen, Andrew Erikson, James Faraday, and Leo Tesla as well as defenseman Jerrick Poole will all be ineligible to return to Ottawa and will be forced to play for their respective VHL clubs. But, because of this inevitability, these players whose rights are owned by teams throughout the VHL and, in the case of O'Malley and Poole, not yet drafted, they will be looking to claim the elusive Founder's Cup, a prize many players never have the opportunity to earn. After falling down three games to one to the Saskatoon Wild in the North American Finals, these players realized the urgency of winning and took it upon themselves to mount an incredible comeback that saw the Lynx dominate en route to a series win in seven games and a trip to the finals. Many around the league see this upcoming series against the Oslo Storm as a virtual lock for the Lynx. While it is apparent that anything truly can happen, it's also very difficult to imagine that the Storm will be able to keep up with Ottawa in a seven game series. Crazier things have happened, though, but Ottawa is geared up and ready to solidify their place as the best team in the VHLM this season.

After an exciting season that went right down to the final seconds, the Lynx earned the VHLM's top record after a slow start in a display of resilience, execution, and, perhaps most of all, talent. But, Ottawa was not able to accomplish this on their own - the Yukon Rush helped them out by taking down the Wild in overtime in the final game of the season, denying Saskatoon the one point needed to finish the season in a tie with the Lynx. With this good fortune, Ottawa was able to earn a bye in the first round of the playoffs, allowing their players time to rest up and prepare for either the Wild or the Blades, both of which have all the ability in the world not only to battle the Lynx right down to the wire but to defeat the Lynx in a seven game series. Ottawa will be hoping that the rest gives them the advantage and will propel them into the finals. Reaching the finals, though, will take a team effort as everyone has to be on the same page. Luckily, they have been having extremely productive practices of the past few days that have been highly encouraging to the team. With scouts watching the current series between the Wild and Blades as well as heavy analysis of game film from the regular season, the Lynx have the tactical advantage over their opponent, which will be known within the next week. This season certainly has note been nearly as easy as many thought it would be for Ottawa but for the organization, as long as it ends in a championship, everything went just as planned.
