BREAKING NEWS: Florida Man still hiding the Renaissance Cup In some of the most bizarre couple of weeks, Florida Man led the Stockholm Vikings to their first Renaissance Cup, helped Team USA to win gold, and disappeared with the Renaissance Cup. All while being wanted for armed robbery and escaping his jail cell. There has not been an official statement, but it appears that the Tampa Police Department has called off the search. He has been active on his social media accounts, posting selfies with moneybags. As well as various hype videos for the upcoming VHL season. Sources have informed me that he intends to arrive to training camp on time and in great shape. He is expected to make waves in his rookie season with the Stars and potentially be in the running for the Stolzschweiger Trophy. As of now the Renaissance Cup is still missing. Florida Man has not mentioned anything about it on his socials, but it is believed that he still has it. If you spot the cup, please report it to local authorities. It is an extremely valuable trophy, so expect a reward in return.

1. Season 82 has begun! Any thoughts on our start so far? Not too shabby. Everybody seems to be producing for us so far. It's too early to say how things will play out, but we could be a top team in NA if we keep this up. 2. Which team(s) do you think could surprise this season? I predicted Peace to win the Knight. Toronto might not be looked upon as a top team, but I think they will turn heads this season. Let's see what they do with this four game win streak. 3. Did your player record a goal yet? Sure did. First career goal and it only took four games. 4. Do you prefer to play home games, or games on the road in other cities? There's no place like home. The atmosphere that our fans create is second to none. 5. Tom Brady, an all time GOAT in sports has announced his retirement. Do you think he will ever return for one more year? I seriously doubt it. It would be a massive win if the NFL was able to get him involved as a tv personality like the Manning brothers. If he walks away and never works again, that would also not surprise me. 6. Any interest in the Olympics this year? Honestly not as much as in past years. I really wanted to see the NHLers in the olympics, but it is what it is. Still rooting for USA though.

I was trying something new here and I'm not sure I executed it very well. Please let me know if there's anything you would add or change.

BREAKING NEWS: Florida Man escapes jail, dominates WJC, steals Renaissance Cup To say the least, it has been a very busy week for Florida Man. It didn't take long for him to escape after he was arrested for assisting in armed robbery. One night behind bars was all she wrote, as Florida Man found himself on a flight to meet up with his fellow American teammates at the World Junior Championship the next morning. Man was simply dominant, leading the entire tournament with 12 goals, 25 points, 103 shots and no penalty minutes in just 10 games. Notably scoring the golden goal in overtime against Team Europe last night. While we thought he was celebrating the win with his team, he did a total 180 and took a flight to Stockholm to pay another visit to the Renaissance Cup. Somehow, he managed to get so intoxicated that he stripped down to his crocs, took the Renaissance Cup and left! Nobody has seen him since, but LA Stars training camp starts tomorrow, so you should expect him to turn up sooner or later. His availability for the start of the season is still in question because of his legal trouble. It is only a matter of time before this situation is solved. I expect the outcome to be as whacky as the past several days have been. Just know there is drama in the forecast, so look forward to more in the near future. Source:

1. The S82 VHL Draft has come and gone. What surprised you in this draft? I didn't go into it with any expectations, but it looks like we got a good prospect in DB III. I think Jay Saucey could be a steal for us. 2. Free agency opens this week! Anyone you'd like to see the Stars target? Get Sven Reikkinen if you can afford him. Could be a beast for us. 3. What is your favorite point task to do? Definitely graphics. I'm not great at writing so I use graphics to showcase my creativity. It's fun looking back at old work to see how much progress I've made. 4. How many points do you expect to score this upcoming season? I don't really have any expectations. I would like to score a goal per game and set the record for points though. 5. What is your favorite jersey in the NHL? I'm a Blackhawks fan. So it has to be the Blackhawks jersey. 6. Do you invest in the stock market or crypto? Yup. Mostly just in Apple, though. From the looks of it, we've all had a rough time with our investments as of late.

BREAKING NEWS: Florida Man arrested for armed robbery in the Tampa Bay area Thursday morning we found out that soon-to-be Victory Hockey League forward Florida Man was involved in multiple robberies in downtown Tampa and St. Petersburg, Florida. While details are limited, there appear to be five suspects involved, all heavily armed and dangerous. After leaving Florida Man behind at the second location, they fled the scene with a potential take of $4 Million in cash between the two stops. Their whereabouts are still unknown, but the authorities are diligently searching for any clues that could lead them to the perpetrators. The Tampa Police Department has informed all residents to stay off the streets and in the safety of their homes. It's hard to understand why Florida Man would get himself involved in all of this when he can easily get by on his multi-million dollar contract with the Los Angeles Stars. With the offseason just starting this gives the team some time to handle the situation, but you have to wonder how they expect him to be available for the upcoming season with such heavy duty charges coming his way. When more information is made public, I will be here to keep you in the loop. For now, stay safe and cancel any orders for Florida Man jerseys while you still can!

1. It's finally the offseason! The Vancouver Meta have won the cup again. Do you think the league is broken in its current state? If so do you think certain members/GMs should be punished, or do you have a fix to suggest? I honestly don’t even know what the meta is. I just worry about my player and leave the rest to the guys and gals that know what they’re talking about. 2. Hopefully the dreadful series loss to Toronto is in the rearview... Any thoughts heading into next season? Specific goals or milestones you'd like to reach as a player? Rookie of the year would be a nice start. Doubt it’s gonna happen with the competition I have, but it would be a great start. 3. Management recently shipped Joe Madison (sam) to Vancouver, what did you think of the trade? You gotta do what you gotta do. If the direction we want to go in means trading for the future, then so be it. 4. Pending FA's Sova and Rasputin have recently signed on for next season! Are you happy to see these 2 big pieces get locked early? It definitely gives us a little more certainty on the direction we’re going in. 5. What did you eat for lunch today? We had leftover ribs from Sunday. 6. How many times have you gotten COVID? Or are you dodging the pandemic like a ninja? So far I haven’t gotten it. I’ve been sick once or twice, but I have a poor immune system so that was to be expected anyway.

Ever since my laptop literally died a couple weeks ago, I've had a hard time finding an alternative way to make graphics that would be easy for me to use. I never really became comfortable with the new programs and found myself wasting time on nothing. So, here I am, stuck brainstorming things to talk about. Even with the obvious choice to recap winning the VHLE championship with Stockholm, it wasn't the most interesting path to a cup I've been on. It would basically be about an unstoppable force met by little resistance. In an essence, that is what happened. With my three year VHL creation anniversary just around the corner in March, it got me thinking about the past. Specifically these past few seasons with my player Florida Man. If you're one of the two people that actually know who I am, you probably know how much I enjoyed my time with Seattle. The winning was great, but the locker room was better. There was always someone to talk to and the mood was positive no matter what was going on. When I started my new player, I had a feeling there was a decent chance to end up with the Bears again given where I was on the draft board. I didn't want to be that guy and flat out say I don't want to play anywhere except for Seattle, but I hinted that was something I wanted to do. Heading into the draft, I was pretty certain that I was going to Seattle. Partially because Bana was the only GM to actually show interest before the draft. To my surprise, just two picks before Seattle's, I was taken 13th overall by the LA Stars. At first, it didn't sit well with me. I was pretty disappointed and ultimately became a clicker for a majority of the season in the E. Nothing against Josh, Rory and the rest of the Stars players. I just had my sights set on a specific outcome, and when the results were different I had a poor response. I spent the next season in a league where players were putting up ridiculous point totals, while my player was seriously underperforming. When the playoffs were just around the corner I started to look at the bright side of my situation. I reflected on how I handled the disappointment of not going to the team I initially wanted to be with, and realized how important accountability is. I never really thought about it this way because, well, this is just a game. Albeit a game with a fairly significant time commitment and people relying on a lot of pieces to fall into place. Despite a last-ditch effort to get some updates in, I basically wasted a season on welfare and poor player building. Thad had put together a pretty good team that I thought could win it all. It clearly wasn't our year as we were bounced in the first round. Moving forward to the next season I decided to approach it with a more positive attitude. Even though I couldn't find time to cap out most weeks I was able to be a little more consistent in completing tasks. The team looked good, but couldn't get much going. Thad and Kisslinger made good use of future draft capital by bringing in a couple players that would ultimately make up the top forward line as well as some defensive support. After they figured out the right line combos it was mostly smooth sailing all the way to the postseason. The additions helped shoot the Vikings to the top offense in the E. As I said earlier about the playoffs, the Vikings didn't meet much resistance. They split the first two games with Cologne, then won seven straight including a sweep of Rome in the finals. Florida Man led all skaters with 9 goals, 20 points and an astounding 73 shots in the nine games played. With the last game of the Continental Cup Finals between Vancouver and Moscow later today, it won't be long until Florida Man finally makes his VHL debut with the Stars. I'm really happy about how everything is going despite losing my laptop. I just hope it doesn't hinder my ability to earn with some consistency now that I need to start catching up to the rest of the league.

Stockholm Vikings Press Conference

1. We are champions!! how do you feel? Awesome! Everybody came together an accomplished the goal we had hoped to achieve at the beginning of the season. 2. what are your plans for your day with the cup? Get in a 5 star police chase with the cup in the passenger seat. 3. Did you expect us to pull away with the sweep? I never thought we would sweep a team even if we simmed it 100 times. Clearly we just had the better team, lines and matchups. Props to the GMs for setting us up for success with an almost perfect postseason. 4. Did your player break any personal goals this season? Regular season was pretty underwhelming for the first half. Playoffs I found my rhythm. The team was great, but even though I had the high TPA, I wasn’t contributing the way I thought I could. Clearly that changed in the second half of the season. It was like adding an entire new player to the team. 5. Are you expecting to play in the VHL next season? if so for what team? Yup. LA already called me up. Hopefully I can bring our winning ways over there. 6. Is there anything Thad and I can do to make Stockholm a better experience for future Vikings? Not sure. You guys were always available and interested in how we were doing. I’d give out awards like player of the week to keep the players engaged. Maybe it’ll help deter inactivity. -

1. We are tied 1-1 as of right now in our series, what do we need to adjust to pull away and win this series. I don’t think any adjustments were necessary. We knew we were the better team going in, just had to stick with our plan and it all worked out. 2. Are you confident entering the playoffs? Of course, even with a team like Istanbul who looks like they can’t be beat. Anything can happen in a seven game series. 3. who does your player model their game after? We stick to tradition here. Strictly other Florida men. 4. Where is your favourite place to be in the world? Kinda odd but my favorite place has to be a shower, or specifically my shower. It’s the first and last place I go every day. 5. coolest place you have ever been? Probably Montana. Went there for a skiing trip a few years ago and had a great time. 6. what is the 'weirdest' food combination that you like? I make a steak, bacon, potatoes and spinach dish pretty often. Apparently I’m crazy for mixing potatoes and spinach. At least that’s what my family says. -
Just taking a moment to look over the final eight games of the season for each team heading into the postseason. I will be ranking the strength of schedule, and due to a three-way tie for second place, also taking into account current win streaks and goal differential to determine each team's position in the standings. Each team will receive a value of 1-8 depending on their current standing. The points will be used to rank the strength of schedule. The higher the total, the harder the schedule. With that being said, my standings are: 1. Istanbul (8 points per matchup) 2. Stockholm (7) 3. Bratislava (6) 4. Cologne (5) 5. Rome (4) 6. Vasteras (3) 7. Oslo (2) 8. Geneva (1) 1 Istanbul Red Wolves 42-17-5 (89 Points) | 250 GF (5th) | 186 GA (1st) | 64 GDiff (2nd) | Streak: W3 Schedule: Stockholm x3 = 21 Points Bratislava x1 = 6 Cologne x1 = 5 Rome x2 = 8 Geneva x1 = 1 Total = 41 Points 2 Stockholm Vikings 38-17-9 (85) | 303 GF (1st) | 247 GA (5th) | 56 GDiff (3rd) | Streak: W9 Schedule: Istanbul x3 = 24 Oslo x3 = 6 Geneva x2 = 2 Total = 32 3 Bratislava Watchmen 40-19-5 (85) | 251 GF (4th) | 207 GA (2nd) | 44 GDiff (4th) | Streak: W1 Schedule: Istanbul x1 = 8 Cologne x2 = 10 Rome x3 = 12 Oslo x1 = 2 Geneva x1 = 1 Total = 33 4 Cologne Express 39-18-7 (85) | 277 GF (3rd) | 244 GA (4th) | 33 GDiff (5th) | Streak: SOW1 Schedule: Istanbul x1 = 8 Bratislava x2 = 12 Vasteras x4 = 12 Oslo x1 = 2 Total = 34 5 Rome Gladiators 37-21-6 (80) | 284 GF (2nd) | 211 GA (3rd) | 73 GDiff (1st) | Streak: SOL1 Schedule: Istanbul x2 = 16 Bratislava x3 = 18 Vasteras x2 = 6 Oslo x1 = 2 Total = 42 6 Vasteras Iron Eagles 24-39-1 (49) | 200 GF (7th) | 276 GA (6th) | -76 GDiff (7th) | Streak: L6 Schedule: Cologne x4 = 20 Rome x2 = 8 Geneva x2 = 2 Total = 30 7 Oslo Storm 21-40-3 (45) | 235 GF (6th) | 298 GA (7th) | -63 GDiff (6th) | Streak: L3 Schedule: Stockholm x3 = 21 Bratislava x1 = 6 Cologne x1 = 5 Rome x1 = 4 Geneva x2 = 2 Total = 38 8 Geneva Rush 15-44-5 (35) | 198 GF (8th) | 329 GA (8th) | -131 GDiff (8th) | Streak: L1 Schedule: Istanbul x1 = 8 Stockholm x2 = 14 Bratislava x1 = 6 Vasteras x2 = 6 Oslo x2 = 4 Total = 38 1. Vasteras Iron Eagles (30) With just eight games left, Rome is on the outside looking in. Knowing they have the hardest remaining schedule, it's very possible that they finish just short when the regular season wraps up. Cologne and Bratislava share very similar opponents. The two matchups between them will be important in deciding playoff seeding. Istanbul is currently on top, but Stockholm is on a nine game winning streak with the second easiest schedule. They also face off three time. Those games could see major movement in the standings, and perhaps a new first seed? Only time will tell how this plays out, but there's only a few sims left so get your updates in! Happy holidays and best of luck.
