  1. 1. What are your goals for the season? I honestly don't have a sweet clue how the VHLE scoring is gonna look. Just hope to contribute and have a chance to win the whole thing. 2. Who is going to be our toughest competition? Malmo, Moscow and Prague look the best at the moment, but anything can happen with the lack of high end goalies this season. 3. What were the biggest offseason moves? Seattle got rid of every player over 600 TPA. So it looks like they're going to miss the playoffs for the first time since I can remember. 4. Do you workout and train during the offseason? Or do you relax and enjoy the vacation? Nothing like drinking a ton of beer to prep for the upcoming season. 5. Chocolate or other sweets? I don't usually mind, but I'd say chocolate is superior. 6. What is your favorite kind of bread?

    1000

On March 27, 2019 I made my first VHL player. 910 days later, I've finally reached my 1000th post on the forum. For me, the post itself isn't that important. It's all about the friendships, memories and lessons I've learned along the way. I find it hard not to think about what I could've done better when looking at the careers of my players, but it's all apart of my growth as a member of this community. It needed to happen in order for me to be in the place I am today. I've been lucky enough to win at every level. Whether it's the S66 Reapers squad managed by Blade, S72 WC/S79 WJC with Team World, or any of the three Bears teams I won with. It's been a pleasure to play a part in all of that success. I'm not sure who got this idea into my head, but awards really don't mean anything to me. Seeing my teammates succeed puts a smile on my face. And in the end it all paid off anyway. I've taken the time to focus on the positives and negatives of my previous players. Knowing what I now know, I'm excited to continue what I hope turns out to be a fun, successful experience as I try to make Florida Man the best thing since sliced bread. Here's to the next 1000 memories.
  5. 1. What does your player do during the offseason? Beer, babes and beaches. That's all that matters. 2. Arvid Johansson is off to the VHLE, how did he contribute to LA's success last season? I wasn't around, but he chipped in on offense every now and then along with pretty good defensive numbers. That's solid from a depth defenseman. 3. How would your player react to being in a veteran role on a new VHLE team, like Johannsson will? It would be a bummer after spending a full season in the show. I know he was traded, but Moscow looks pretty good as well. He's missing out on a chance at a playoff run. 4. We're training a robot to create VHL drama threads and need some thread names to feed it. Please help. Bek retires as VHL Commish (EMOTIONAL) Several VHL elite suspended after many multis are discovered (JUICY) Seattle Bears GM position opening (BANA DONE FOR GOOD?!) All forms of welfare decreased by 1 TPE (THE END OF CLICKERS???) Tom Brady is taking his talent to the VHL (TB12 TAKEOVER?) 5. Which player is your dream teammate? A Florida man needs his Florida woman. 6. What other languages do you want to know/are interested in? Sign language would be cool to learn. You could technically communicate with anybody using it. Unless they don't have hands. That would be difficult.
  6. holy fuck that's wholesome
  7. Ferken rights buddy you're up in the rafters now
  8. Taking a break was the best thing I did. I only truly took a break for one season, but the time off was much more refreshing than I had initially thought. It's like any other video game, sport, job, etc. You're almost guaranteed to burn out no matter how much you love to do it. At the end of the day you should do what's best for you. No shame in that.
  9. The long awaited S80 VHL Draft has finally come and gone. Helsinki kicked it off by drafting goaler Xavier Booberry first overall, but more importantly the Los Angeles Stars found themselves a potential top six winger for their future at thirteenth overall in Florida Man. While it's a little ironic that Florida Man will be taking his talents from the Atlantic to the Pacific, he admitted that the only two teams to contact him are on the west coast. It was also rumored that he intended to demand a trade if a team that had not spoken to him before the draft selected him, but LA prevented that from happening. It is concerning that the draft presentation team chose to use a picture of Tyler Myers when Man was selected. He threatened to "f***ing quit the league if they disrespect me like that again." I expect the Stars to take every precaution heading into S80 so that they can help Man avoid a mental breakdown. As of now, he intends to play in the VHLE. The draft will soon be upon us, and Man will suit up for his new team with hopes to make a strong impression on Stars management. That's all for now, but Florida Man is a nut job. He may be back in the spotlight sooner rather than later.

  12. So true
  13. 1) It's over. A heartbreaking loss in the finals. What was your reaction to game 5? Made it super far this season. Only one other team can say they made it to the finals. So we should look at it as a positive rather than dwell on it. Plus they beat us fairly quickly. Hard to say they weren’t the better team. 2) Malmo has defeated Seattle in 6 games to claim the Continental Cup, did you see this coming? I’ve made it known before that I’m a proud supporter of the Bears. I wanted them to win again, but at the end of the day Malmo was the better team. There’s always next season. 3) What are your plans for S80? I’m most likely going to need a season to earn TPE before I hopefully make the jump to the VHL. So it would seem that I’m VHLE bound. 4) Do you prefer to write articles, design graphics, record podcasts, or claim welfare? Usually welfare, but every now and then I make a few graphics to last me a month or two. 5) What VHLE team do you hope to be drafted by? (If you aren't in the draft, answer with your favorite team) I honestly don’t even know the teams. Hopefully one that has a super active LR. 6) How long will it take for Mississauga to be a contender again? From the short look I had the other day, the Hounds are essentially getting a facelift. I’m pretty sure there were only a couple players returning. I don’t know what the draft pick situation looks like, but maybe a couple more seasons and the boys will be buzzing again.
  14. Now that the postseason has come to an end and the Malmo Nighthawks are officially the S79 Continental Cup Champions, the draft will soon be upon us. It is time for the prospects to potentially secure a higher draft position and make a strong impression with general managers across the league. The unfortunate truth is that not all draft picks pan out for reasons such as inactivity, poor player builds, locker room chemistry, etc. With that being said, I understand the difficulties of being a manager. Especially during a busy offseason when they have to make decisions that could impact the team for several seasons. Knowing this, I've decided to provide some clarity on how I expect Florida Man's career to go. There have been issues with motivation every now and then. With my previous player, I found myself drafted third overall. Even though Odin went on to win three cups with the Bears, you could argue I was completely carried. Overall, there were only three or four seasons that you could say were truly worth a pick that high. Fairly underwhelming considering the Bears have been a scoring machine. You get the point, I'm inactive from time to time and I don't want a GM to waste a high pick on silly old me when they can look for someone that might not only claim welfare and practice facility with an occasional spree of max earning. A major part of what keeps me involved is locker room chemistry. I will be transparent regarding how I feel within the LR. I do intend to earn as much as I can from now on, but let this act as a heads up for you GMs out there. Good luck in the draft.
  15. 1. NEW GM! Mr. N0HBDY has replaced Z as GM, as Z is leaving us to AGM Bratislava. What are your thoughts on the change? I don't know him that well, but I hope he can keep the Hounds going in the right direction. 2. In your opinion, how do you see round 2 going for us? It's going to be tough, but I am confident we can win every matchup. 3. Is your player growing out their playoff beard? Mine is the biggest. It's not even a debate. 4. How would you rate your experience as a whole with the Hounds, from the moment you got here to this moment? I didn't intend to be that active this season, but for a while it felt like I was kinda forgotten about. Now that playoffs have started up I'm doing my best to be involved regardless of how much ice time I get. 5. Who do you see as the C next season? I'm not sure who will still be around. Maybe Russel Dixon or Andrew Whitemore if not a new addition. 6. How do you expect to perform under the new GM? I may not be around next season, but hopefully I take a step forward because this season was kinda frustrating. Especially if we don't win the cup.
