New York Americans Press Conference Questions

1. The Americans scraped the bottom of the lottery, walking away with the 4th and 12th overall picks of the S69 draft. Who would you be most excited to see join the squad? Haven't been paying too much attention to VHLM this season, but folks like Ben Storm, Guy Sasakamoose, and Erik Summers have caught my eye. 2. The S69 FA pool is incredibly deep this year, with a lot of big names becoming available at the end of the season. Who’s the best on the market? I like the younger guys - Tyler Barabash Jr, Charlie Paddywagon are awesome. Also got love for Morpheus Destructius. 3. Last season we just barely lost the battle against Toronto for the playoffs. With new assets on the horizon, where do you expect us to place this coming season? Hard to say. Let's see how the offseason goes. 4. With such an expansive FA market, a lot of teams are going to have to take a hit to their rosters. Who do you think fares the worst? Maybe Davos. 5. Prospects Ryo Yamazuki II @Donno100, Aamon Grim @aCrypticPancake and Jaxon Walker @hewasajazzman have all jumped up to the VHL level during the off-season with our team. How do you expect them to do in their inaugural seasons? They gonna do big things. Hope they have a good time too. 6. Who do you consider to be your biggest rival in the VHL, whether it be a team or individual player? I'm my own biggest rival. -

Review: freaky and spooky, dope work man. I like how you embraced the desaturated green horror palette overall. nice how you got matching expressions with player and scarecrow. I think the font work coulda gone more into the horror style maybe, but that’s a small detail

Review: nice work man, love the washed out faded vibe, makes it feel like a vintage card. woulda given the Vikings logo the same washed out treatment to go all the way, maybe add some wrinkles too or dust textures.

Review: dope background, love that shade of blue, I like how you use the circle pattern to highlight the player, clean font, bokeh is nice touch. maybe you could have pushed the colors of the player and jersey more, shifted the shadows / tones a bit so it’s more in harmony with the blue green background. solid work as usual doc! -

Review: cool graphic - the mirror image is a fun idea. You could have explored this further I think with mirroring the text too or other graphical elements. Nice use of textures in the background.
-
Review: I like the 8 bit video game vibe on player, feels fun! I would recommend doing a similar treatment on background and penguins so the whole image feels aesthetically cohesive.
-
Review: sick gif! digging the video game vibe. font and background colors fits style nicely. def curious how the animation would feel if you gave the players a 16-bit vibe with an app or something.
-
Review: ????? just stunning. dope use of extreme negative space. gives the graphic tons of drama and tension. the dreamy highlight glow feels fantastic against all the black negative space.
-
Review: diggin dreamy color palette - reminds me of a Renaissance painting. the dirt textures and light shine on the blade are a nice touch. jersey swap feels a bit too clean and evenly colored, woulda added some texture or shade there to make it perfect

1. Hit my goal of 99/99 in Scoring and Defense last week. Gonna focus on skating this offseason, maybe some Puck Handling too. 2. Yeah, this season was always gonna be work in progress. My teammates and I kept earning and improving. I’m good with the work we did. 4. We need more depth at forward or center, especially after Eller vanishing. Come back Frans ?? 5. We’ll make a jump, with our growing players and upcoming picks. How big of a jump? That’s on us. 6. Dalton for sure. I hope we grow into a deadly offensive pair. 8. I’ll try my best. -

review: LOVE the font. it's playful and vibrant and just pops, bringing out her smile in a great way. love how you paired orange and blue - great color combo. very eye catching sig. -
review: digging the dynamic use of diagonals. it accentuates the players' eyes dramatically. scale is too big imho - shrink it to 600 width or so i think! awesome work
-
review: great work! love how you used b+w circles to show the highlights of this player's career. awesome drip paint background, and white highlights around the player. the vignette helps the image a lot but feels a bit too strong imho.
