  1. 1. Trades happened. Where were you when you got the news? Was on my way to practice, was a shock but you have to trust in the process and what the GM has planned for the team 2. How do you feel about the trades? It definitely sucked to see Rauno leave but I think in all the trades we received some very good players that can help us win 3. We lost our captain and top player... What words do you have for him? All the best on your new team! 4. On the next home game where our former captain comes home what should we do for his return? We should do a short video tribute from last years cup run! 5. With this new line up the lines are all over the place. How do you feel our chances are right now? I believe we will still make the playoffs and have a long run into the finals. We have tons of talent on this team. 9. If you could achieve any thing this season what would it be? I want to win another cup but this time as the starter. We have so much talent on the team we just need to focus and get it done in the playoffs
  2. Last years champions have recently been in a slump. The Wolves are currently on a 3 game losing streak and have slid from 1st place in the beginning of the season into 8th with the season almost over. " i'm not sure what has happened, but we definitely need to pick it up and finish out the season strong " Eagles Said " If we continue playing like this for the remaining games there is a very high chance we will miss playoffs and that is something we do not want" The Wolves have 15 games left to turn the ship around and clinch a playoff spot. It would be a huge disappointment for the team and the fans if the Wolves do not return to the playoffs to defend the cup. " I definitely need to play better, season started out strong and now I seem to be on a cold streak " Eagles Said " I am working with our goalie coach to to get me back on track as I need to be at my best for the last few games"
  3. No idea what's been going on. Started off well and now can't stop a beach ball!
  4. Greg started his career as a soccer manager in the Polish premiere league with Wroclaw. One day he was in the Wroclaw town square when Greg Eagles was in town with the Continental Cup. He saw all the excitement and was wondering what all this was about. He managed to make his way to the front and speak with Eagles who let him know that his team the Vancouver Wolves just won the Cup in hockey. Greg did not really know the rules of hockey or what it was all about but he knew he wanted to get involved. The amount of fans and excitement was just incredible and it was an up and coming sport in Poland. When he went home he started researching everything there is about hockey including rules, practice drills, strategies and tactics. He also purchased Eastside hockey manager and started trying out tactics and strategies in the simulator. He quickly rose as one of the best ever GM's in the game and in online leagues. After a solid few months of pure studying hockey and playing Eastside he was ready to start looking for his first real opportunity. For some reason he saw an ad in the polish newspaper that was looking for a GM for team Asia in the WJC. He thought this was strange that Asia would be advertising in Poland but the ad intrigued him but how could he convince Team Asia he could do well with no experience? Greg got to work and put together a presentation to Team Asia about his tactics in soccer and how he gets the most out of each of his players. He translated these tactics to hockey and also showed his strategies that he used in Eastside. Greg promised that even though Team Asia might be underdogs, he would get the most out of them through hard work and tactics. He promised glory for Team Asia. Team Asia's selection staff was really intrigued with his presentation, his knowledge of hockey and the experimental tactics he used in his simulator. The one thing they worried about was that Greg had no experience and didn't know the language but they decided that the amount of work and passion he put into the application that he should be given a chance. They all agreed that they would bring him in for an interview. A few months after he sent in his presentation Greg received an invitation from Team Asia to fly to Japan for an in-person interview. During the interview Team Asia was impressed with the way Greg wanted to run the team and his tactics that incorporated different soccer strategies. He was handed the job on the spot and now is tasked to put together a roster capable of competing. It will be interesting to see how the transition from soccer to hockey goes and if Greg will be able to transfer solid soccer knowledge into the game of hockey. Team Asia seems to think so but only the on-ice results will matter. His Hockey GM career has started….where will it take him? His first task was to put together a roster to compete this season, after a lot of long nights Greg was able to put together a roster which is capable of competing for a medal. The players will all be getting together this week for their first practice and team building exercises. 50% of the players are from Asia, 49% are European with trace Asian DNA and 1% is American with a trace of Asian DNA aswell. Greg is hoping that those players from Europe and US who were passed over by their National team will have the extra motivation to prove their teams wrong and put up points against them.
  5. 2. Who was your favorite player in the NHL growing up? Definitely Mario Lemieux, great player with a lot of class 8. What VHLM teammate do you miss the most? Probably Tate, was fun playing with him and he was a great team-mate 9. Why do you miss this old teammate? Just the support in the locker room and always hyping up our articles when we were with the Marlins
  6. First off Thank You to the commissioners ( @Banackock @fonziGG @rjfryman) for giving me a shot at being GM of Team Asia. First time being a GM and so far it has been a great experience. For Team Asia my goals for the players are simple. Have fun, showcase your talent to the league and lets bring home a medal. We may be underdogs but I believe we have what it takes to bring something home. This year's team is compromised of a mix of players. While we did not have a full list of eligible players strictly from Asia, we managed (through some DNA testing) to find players from other nationalities that have a percentage of Asian DNA in them which made them eligible to play for this year's team. For more information on Team Asia's GM, you can find the info here Team Asia GM announcement ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Now for the Team announcement, your starting roster for this years Team Asia is: Forwards: C : Hiroshi Okada @enigmatic C : Edu Stava @Edustava C : Dagmar Havlova @diamond_ace RW : Ryo Yamazuki II @Donno100 RW : Jerry Wang @ColeMrtz RW : Kenji Hacimura @Dtayl LW : Valery Morozov @Dangles13 LW : Jesse Nyman @Jesse Nyman LW : Anthony Hawk @ahawk2191 Defense: Kefka Palazzo @diamond_ace Keven Foreskin @Esso2264 Will Clarke @Will Jacob Perry @Liberty_Cabbage Goalies: Clayton Park @leafssteen Lukas Schweitzer @GlowyGoat Congratulations to all, lets bring home a medal! Discord information will be sent out shortly.

  13. The Team Asia Hockey Committee of the S68 World Junior Championship today announced that a new rookie GM, Greg D, has been hired and is expected to take the team forward in this years tournament. Greg, a resident of Wroclaw, Poland, is a long time Soccer manager for the Polish Premiere league with Wroclaw. While he has no previous experience in managing in Hockey, he has worked miracles with this tactics in soccer. He has been studying Hockey management for the past few years and is looking forward to this new challenge. Team Asia believed him to be the best choice to take the team forward as he is able to think outside the box, bring in fresh new strategies and get the most out of all his players. “ This is a fantastic opportunity for me to show the world of hockey that I am capable of being a GM and I look forward to working closely with the Team Asia Committee and the players to reach our goals” Greg Said “ Asia has a wonderful growing hockey population and I am happy to help bring attention to the game of hockey and getting our Asian fans excited by our future hockey stars who currently play in the VHL. I have been working night and day trying to put together a great, competitive roster and I believe once it is announced that fans will really be excited to watch and support us” The Asian media was not as excited at the new GM announcement and wrote articles asking how could the committee hire an outsider with no Asian background to lead the national team and especially someone who had no hockey experience. Greg has some thoughts on the media attacks. “Language issues and cultural differences surely explain part of the attacks,” he reasons. "But I believe I can change the media’s mind once the team hits the ice and I implements my strategy for this years tournament.” Greg continued as his introduction press conference “Every country usually plays the same system,” Greg said at his press conference. “It seems like in the tournament you have one team that’s been successful for a year or two and suddenly everyone is emulating everything that they do. Everything from recruiting similar types of players to the same tactic systems. For me, I will not be doing that. I will be building my own team based on what I believe will work with the tactics I intend to put forth. These will all be new and catered to the type of players I selected” He continued “I think the challenge for me is to look at what kind of team I have and say ‘OK, who is going to fit our team with the tactics I want to employ. This might mean that I don’t pick the top star players that the media is expecting and this might mean that I will be using some tactics that have never been seen before, but in the end, all the fans and media in Asia will know that we put in 110% effort and we will do what we can to bring home the gold. My goal for the team is a medal, anything short of that is a bust.” With the media still being skeptical on the appointment, it will be up to Greg to prove them wrong when Team Asia hits the ice. Many fans and players are awaiting the roster announcement which Greg promises will be coming in the next little while.
  14. With the WJC tournament arriving soon, the new GM of Team Asia will have some tough decisions to make during the roster building phase. Unlike last year, the Team Asia pool is slim this year and all players selected will have to play at their best if the team wants to succeed. The biggest problem with Asia is the lack of Goalies. " We will see what we can do, we may have to pull someone from one of the other country eligibility lists but as of right now, Asia just isn't producing any goalies " Said new GM Eagles " We will definitely try to put together the best team possible to challenge for a medal and even with a smaller eligibility list I believe we can contend. We have some great forwards and defenders available to us" The team is set to be announced in the near future and we look forward to seeing who GM Eagles will select for his team. It is an exciting time for all the VHL prospects as they will get to showcase their talents on the world stage.
  15. I would be interested in the role, doesn't matter which team!

  18. The Vancouver Wolves started their morning pre-game skate during a recent game vs Malmo, with a steady stream of rush drills at both ends of ice designed to get the players feet moving and their hands warm. However the Wolves players were only able to use one net on one side of the rink. Wolves goalie, Greg Eagles, was using the other net with the Wolves goalie coach to do lateral recovery pushes from his knees into controlled shots instead of getting swarmed by point blank shots from teammates. Amidst a busy VHL season, where 2 new teams were added, and with less practice time due to traveling, Eagles and his coach believes it more important than ever to make sure he gets his position-specific practice done whenever he gets a chance, even if that means extending his game-day practice or taking over one net that the rest of the team can’t use. "I think I've had one regular practice with the whole team in maybe 2 weeks” Eagles said “ The coach just needs me to focus on my play and yeah while it sucks I can’t practice with the team, I know in the long run this will be better for the team as a whole” The Wolves coaching team know that it is necessary to get position-specific work done during game day skates this season but does this come at a cost? Are the goalies following this training regime getting more fatigued? Others around the VHL believe that making your starting goalie spend extra time in practice is decreasing the save percentage, causing fatigue and a few uncharacteristic slumps from proven goalies. There has been no stats or proven facts correlating to this but it is just something being seen around the VHL. "It's been a weird season," Eagles said. " I started off great and now all of a sudden I can’t stop a beach ball but it seems to be happening throughout the League. I think there is a little bit of fatigue setting in with certain teams and certain players, and it is important to be able to manage that. If we don’t manage it goalies and players will get tired and that’s where you will start seeing slumps and losing streaks" Managing rest sometimes comes at the expense of spending extra time on the ice managing the fine details of a goaltender's game. It's a balance goalies often have to find for themselves, especially when they make the transition from backup to being the starting goalie. This has been the change for Eagles in this season where he went from starting 19 games as a backup to now being the only goalie on the team. “ It’s been a tough transition but I am starting to feel more comfortable, I appreciate the team giving me the opportunity to be the starter and having patience while I work out all the kinks to my game “ Eagles said after the most recent loss to Malmo. "That's probably the biggest challenge for every goalie in this league when you are playing a lot is to get good quality practice" Wolves goalie coach said. "They have to think about resting their body physically, but also mentally. They need to save their energy for a game, so you can't drain yourself in practice and then have nothing left. It's something that as a coach I have to help manage” We are hoping Eagles and the Wolves can help recover their form as the recent 3 games losing streak has seen them drop in the standings.
  19. After a great start to the season, Eagles has been struggling over the last few games to keep the puck out of the net. There has been rumors that game sheets and lineups were mixed up due to a clerical error but Eagles does not blame his play on any of those issues. " Last few games have been a little rough, there was some goals I wish I could get back but that is the life of a goalie sometimes " Said Eagles " Some days you're stopping everything and some days everything is going in. All I can do is keep training and working on my game, I have been staying late to work with out goalie coach and im hoping it will pay off soon" Vancouver has lost their last 3 games and currently sit 6th in the league. The team will have to return to early season form if they want to get back on track. " I believe we will be back on track in no time, just a small blip on a long season, everyone is determined to get back into form " Eagles said

I think any goalie from my draft class S67, Rayz Funk and Micheal Johnson. It's all a friendly rivalry.
  21. Review: I would add a picture (centered) at the start so that the reader can see who the profile is about. A few typo's ( potentional should be potential, Summery should be summary .etc) Other then that was well put together, easy to read and great information. Well done
  22. Review: I liked the profile, was easy to read. I would just center the picture. The addition of a scout's opinion was a great touch and made it look more realistic. Well done!
