  1. Greg Eagles announced today that he will be debuting a new goalie mask. The mask has been kept secret but we have received a leaked image in what could possibly be the new mask If this is the new mask then it showcases the team's logo on the side, while the front looks to be a wolves mouth. Eagles is slowly converting all his equipment to a "Wolves" theme. The only pieces missing right now after the mask is the pads which Eagles mentioned earlier in the year that they will most likely be ready for the playoffs. " I will neither confirm or deny if the mask that was leaked is the mask that I ordered" Eagles said " You guys will just have to wait until the games tonight in order to see " "I had a pretty basic mask and I wanted to change things up, I wanted to showcase my teams colors and maybe intimidate some of the other players with the cool design that myself and the artist created" Eagles continued. Eagles so far has been playing decently and he hopes this mask helps with the continued success of his play and Vancouver's play this season.

  4. Review: Well written review and backstory. Good length and was very interesting to read. The one thing I would add though is some sort of picture, maybe a headshot or Derek in action. Would help spruce this up and meet the minimum established in the Junior Review guidelines. Well done and keep up the good work
  5. Review: Well written, good review of the player. What this review is missing though is " Make it look professional as well. At the very minimum, make use of a title, a picture, and proper paragraphing to make for a nicer article." which is straight out of the guidelines. If you add an title and picture to the beginning then this would make it a great review. Keep up the good work.
  6. Review: Well written and was a great read but I am not sure if this is a proper junior review? This to me seems more like a start to the players career biography. This should be more about his hockey career leading up to the VHLM/VHL draft. Examples would be discussion his junior/college careers with stats and what not. Other then that well written, keep up the good work!
  7. Review: Well written profile. Looks like the grammatical errors are still there based on the last review. Would be good to see a quick edit to fix them up. The cons are great, always hard finding flaws in your own game. Great work!
  8. Review: Good bio, I liked the intro where it is mentioned Jesse didn't have a hockey background but by the time the bio was over you could tell he was made for hockey. It was well written. My only advice would be to center the pictures so that it flows better
  9. Review: Great bio, lots of detail regarding Jimmy Spyro's hockey history. It was split up nicely between his different ages. The writing was well done but for me there was way to many headshots, I would change it up and maybe show pictures of Jimmy playing hockey or even a picture of his family since it is a bio. 4 headshots is 3 too many imo Other then that well done!

  17. The Wolves have stunned almost everyone with their hot start to the season. After 10 games, The Wolves are first in the VHL with 9 wins and 1 loss. The most surprising aspect of this is that their backup goalie has started 8 of those games. While much of their success can be attributed to excellent offense, the team has performed well in every aspect of the game. The teams GM Beaviss can take a lot of credit for forming this team and for making the Wolves team competitive each season. The Wolves success might be a flash in the pan but by the way they are playing, this looks like a team that will be competing hard all season. The Wolves seem to have a winning mentality and a long-term plan forming. This season’s quick start and successes may set the tone for the rest of the season and the future of this team. A big part of the Wolves success has been the creation of a team that is hard to play against. The clearest example of this is the Wolves second shutdown line who also have put up multiple points in each of the first 10 games. MGS has exploded this season on the second line, even if it is unlikely he will continue his scoring pace. However, his all action presence on both ends of the ice is representative of the Wolves new look second line. Rather than merely containing the opposition, MGS and co.(Wolfe and Hafkey), drive out of the zone and create opportunities in the corners. This pace is working spectacularly, as shown by MGS and Wolfes points total. By being hard to play against the shutdown line can both suppress shots, and create high scoring opportunities. This dynamic is promising and it has yet to be seen if this will continue all season. If it will then I don’t see any signs of this Wolves team slowing down anytime soon. This mentality is shared throughout the team, as the forecheck is quickly becoming a hallmark of the new style the Wolves are playing. GM Beaviss understands how to build teams in a way that compliments player skill sets and play styles. MGS, Wolfe, and Hafkey look like an inspired line selection by the GM. Accompanied by the top line of Freeman, Helmsley and Jagr, the Wolves appear to be an unstoppable powerhouse. This Wolves lineup up on a nightly basis isn’t only beneficial short-term. The outline of a long-term and diverse offensive team is starting to become noticeable. In assembling the current Wolves team, topped up with young talent and a good veteran presence, Beaviss has a varied set of pieces who can play consistently. However, the Wolves recent wins aren’t a reason for celebration just yet, rather, they show a team that has great upside as long as they continue to play well. There’s a lot that could still go wrong for the Wolves. Their safe defensive play can be undone, especially if first choice players hit a cold streak. Another issue could be if the goaltending does not live up to the teams high expectations. As of right now the backup goalie has started 8 out of the 10 games and has played well albeit it has been versus some of the weaker teams. How will Eagles incorporate himself back into the team after only starting 2 games and playing against some of the top tier teams in the league? Only time will tell but as of right now, it doesn’t seem like anybody can come close to the Wolves.
  18. 1. New season 1st in the league... Do you think we are this good? Absolutely, were winning with our backup right now! We have great amount of depth and we will carry this on for the full season. 2. Do you think we can carry this on for a full season? Definitely, if we are playing this well with a backup I can't wait to see what we will do with a full lineup 3. What do you think is our biggest strength? Depth. We have so many great players in each position that it doesn't matter what line is on the ice. 4. Thoughts on getting our back up goalie done with all 8 games early? The way the backup has been playing, maybe we should start him more 5. Now that we have played games... Who do you think will lead the team in goals? I think HHH will lead the team in goals this year, he is playing very well! 7. Who do you think will be the MVP of the team? I think it will be a close race between HHH, Wolfe and Jagr. These 3 are looking like they will have a big season!
  19. Just like last season, Greg Eagles, is off to another hot start with the Wolves and he is hoping this will carry the rest of the season. While only starting 2 games so far due to the backup being scheduled to play 8 out of the first 10 games, Eagles is sitting at a 2-0 record, .962 save % and a 1.5 GAA. " I think it is a great start for me, I started off really well last season as well but then things didn't go so well near the end" Eagles said " I am hoping to be more consistent this year and once the backup plays his 8 games, I am hoping to keep at this pace for the rest of the season" Eagles has trained hard in the off-season and so far it is showing. The Wolves, even though they have started their backup, sit at an incredible 7-1 start to the season. Most Wolves players are highly motivated to win another cup and anything short of reaching the finals will be considered a huge underachievement.

  24. Review: Hello fellow Wolf! Not too bad, goalie is definitely front and center which is great. I would maybe change the color of the text to something else as the white blocker and white text do sort of blend in together. Other then that well done!
  25. Review: Really like this one, colors blend well, the name and player also stand out very well. Nicely done!
