SPYRO (S69) Limited Edition "Rookie Card" [2/2]
Greg_Di replied to DarkSpyro's topic in Archived Graphics/Videos
Review: Good effort. For me it is a little large and the goalie does not stand out. You really want the player/goalie to stand out in any card. Keep at it, there are many great designers here who could definitely help out! -
Review: Love this sig, was really done well. Everything was blended well and the sig seems to "pop". I personally am not a big fan of the sunset sky in the Wahl but it was still very well done

Review: This to me looks more like a scouting report then a junior review. Other then that it was well written and the gif added that extra touch to the article. Well done!

Jimothy Frost; The Future GOAT; Junior Review [2/2]
Greg_Di replied to Frostbite's topic in Archived Career Tasks
Review: This was hard to read without any formatting. You should separate the paragraphs. Other then that it was a good junior review, was funny at some parts especially with the 2% penguin. -
Review: Loved the write-up, brings up all pros/cons of your player and what he needs to work on. For me there was maybe too many pictures for a rookie profile and would have been better if the pictures were centered. Other then that well done!

As the Wolves prepare for the upcoming season, they held an open practice so that the Wolves fan’s can come in and watch the team before the season starts. This has always been a good way for fans to come and see the team but also to interact with some of the star players. This event is hosted annually by the team and is always a big hit with the younger fans. The fans are allowed to watch the full practice and at the end they can meet with some of the stars to get autographs and pictures. “ We always try to do something for the fans, they are the reason we are here “ Said one of the team’s owners “ Without them, there would be no hockey here in Vancouver. This is just one way for us to pay them back” One of the biggest highlights came near the end of the practice which involved Greg Eagles and a young fan with his parents. Usually attendees are not allowed to step on the ice but one fan received a huge surprise. The young hockey fan, decked out in a Greg Eagles jersey, was treated to a double dose of happiness as the youngster got to test out a real NHL goalie mask. As Greg Eagles was leaving the ice, he noticed the fan with his Jersey and banging on the windows as Eagles was skating by. Eagles invited him out onto the ice (The only fan that got to go on the ice) and offered him to try on one of his unused masks that were on the bench, what was even more surprising is that Eagles signed the mask and let the young fan keep it. This moment was captured on video and has gone viral. “ I just wanted to make the young fan happy “ Eagles said “ Ticket prices are often pretty high and sometimes many of our younger fans don’t get to come out and watch our games. Its always nice to do something small that has such a huge impact on our fans.” Eagles also provided the family with 4 tickets to the home opener in the platinum section. “ It was unbelievable” Lukas, the young fan, said “ I felt like a real goalie on the ice and now I get to keep this mask forever. Eagles is the best!” “ It was a great gesture, Lukas lives and breathes hockey and has always looked up to Eagles” The parents said “ He watches every game and always wanted to meet his hero. We are thankful that Eagles was able to take some time out of his busy day and make our little boy the happiest kid in the world” This was a great event and many fans left happy. As the Wolves focus on the season ahead, the only thing that would make any fan happier is if the Wolves manage to win the cup for the 2nd time in 3 years. The Wolves look very strong this season and anything short of a finals appearance will be a disappointment

1. What are your personally goals for this season? My goal this season is to finish top 3 among goalies in Save % and GAA 2. What are your team goals for this season? My team goal is to make it back to the finals this season and bring home another cup 3. What do you think will be your biggest strength to the team? I think my reliability and consistent efforts in practice 6. If you could make any trade what would you try and get? I think we have a great team overall, I would maybe get a goalie backup to ease the workload 7. Who do you think will be our team MVP this season? I think HHH will lead the team this year and be team MVP 8. Where do you think we will end the season? First in NA, we have the talent and hunger to finish first.

Greg Eagles was seen flying into Vancouver earlier this morning after an extended off-season break in Los Angeles. Not much is known why Eagles spent some extra time away but the rumors are that he was secretly training with a few legendary goalie coaches to improve his game. " I unfortunately cannot say right now why my off-season was a little bit longer but I am happy to be back in Vancouver and I am excited to get the season started " He said " I feel much better and stronger heading into this season and I am putting a lot of pressure on myself this season to have a career year" The team also refused to comment but only mentioned that this was an approved extension but would not discuss further as to why. All other Wolves players were back in camp as of last week, Eagles is the last to arrive and the team can now fully practice with the whole team on the ice. The season will be starting shortly and the Wolves are hoping to return to the finals after an unexpected early exit last season.

1. What are you going to be working on the most this offseason? Will be working on skating and agility. Hoping to be better overall this season. 2. What did you think about training camp? It was great to be back on the ice with the team after our short break. 6. Did you play any other sports growing up to help you you hockey ability? I played soccer which definitely helps with my reaction times. 7. If you could be coach for a day what would you make us practice? Would focus on defense and work on stopping the opposition from taking so many shots 8. If you were the GM what one trade would you do to make our team better? I think another defensive defenseman would be a huge help. 9. If you could draft any player what would he/she be? I would draft a backup goalie, would help with team depth.

The Vancouver Wolves and Greg Eagles announced today that a 1 year extension has been signed. This means Eagles will be signed all the way through season 70. Talks were quick as both the team and Eagles wanted to get this done quick and ensure no disruptions during the season. "It's great to get the extension out of the way, now I can focus on training camp and getting ready for the new season" Eagles said " I am happy to play here and want to stay here for the rest of my career. The salary for me is not the biggest thing, I want to make sure we have enough space in the cap department in order to compete. That is the priority for me, to win another cup and to do it in Vancouver" Now with their starting goalie signed the Wolves will need to look at acquiring a backup goalie to make sure Eagles is fresh for the playoffs.
