  1. Review: Nice to see interviews and get to know the perspective from the players points of view and his friendship with Tomas. With this media spot though you should make spaces between each Paragraph as it reads like one big run-on sentence. I would also use a different color for either the interviewer or Jason so that it would stand out and be a lot easier to read. Adding a picture would also add that extra touch. Other then that was a good interview. Keep up the good work! 7/10
  2. This season, Henry Eagles, has been picking up his scoring pace and now sits at 22 goals in 43 games played. His all time goals scored was 29 last season and he is on pace to set a new career high in goals. " I have been scoring well this season but it's still not where I would like to be" Henry said " I want to be in the leagues top 5 but I am still quite a bit off that pace, about 6-7 goals behind the number 5 guy" Henry has set a target of 40 goals for this season and with only 29 games left to play he will have to get to work on popping the puck in the back of the net. 18 goals in 29 games doesn't seem that hard on paper but in reality is much more difficult. " The goalies get better every year, the opposing team scouts you and has a good idea of your play style so it is harder to score the longer you are in the league " Henry continued " I do still have some tricks up my sleeve and we will see if I can hit that 18 number before the season ends"

  4. It has been a great start for the Vancouver Wolves as they lead the VHL standings with 33 points and a big help to this hot start has been the play of Henry Eagles. Eagles in his third season is looking to prove he can be a team leader on and off the ice but as well in the points department. While he is currently 5th on the Wolves in points with 22 (Leader Nezuko is at 28), Henry believes that by the end of the season he can crack that top spot. Henry has had a solid start to this season, so far he has 10 goals and 12 assists for 22 points in 21 games and has already scored a hat-trick earlier this season. With his continuous training on improving his shot, we can only think that his goal numbers will skyrocket this season. "Everyday at training I am working on my shot, that has been my focus this season as I want to put up more goals and be our teams go to goal scorer " Henry said in a recent press meeting " I want the team to rely and trust on me to score when we need to score" Henry's goal for this season has been set at 90+ points and so far he is on track. He also wants to break the 40 goal mark this season which may be a bit harder to achieve but if you really think about it, he only needs 30 more goals in 51 games which seems to be achievable for this rising superstar. "It was a great experience winning the cup last season and in order for us to repeat as champions, I know I have to step up and be a better player" Henry continued " I have to live up to my first overall pick tag and the last two seasons, in my own mind, I didn't live up to being that player. This season is where I hope and expect things to change for me as I make a name for myself in this league and continue the Eagles long rich history of award wins" Henry, as of right now, is the only Eagles family member who has not won award but he is only three seasons in. We expect Henry, before he retires, to win a few awards during his VHL career. "While awards are always not at the forefront for me as I would prefer to help our team win Cups, I also cannot be the only Eagles to not win one " Henry continued " So the next two seasons I will be trying to win something, doesn't matter what award, I just want one with my name on it" Although he mentioned he wants to win awards, the current focus is to once again win the Continental cup and to tie his grandfather for most cups won as an Eagles. His father Tom, did not win any Continental cups. "Maybe if I don't win an award, I can win the most Cup's as an Eagles. Only need 2 more and I think we have the right team here in Vancouver to achieve this"
  5. It has only been 11 games into the season and Henry Eagles has already netted his first Hat-Trick. The Hat-Trick came against the New York Americans as Henry had one of his best games of the season. "It was a great game for me, I was slow in the scoring department so far and everything just clicked during this game" Henry said "It feels good being able to contribute and help the team out, I was drafted to help the team out in scoring and I am glad things are falling into place in my third season" Henry is hoping for more hat-tricks this season as he has been improving on his slapshot and wristshot all season. He has improved on both shot power and accuracy in both. Goalies do not have the right scouting reports on him yet as he has completely changed his shots from last season. His team, the Wolves, continue to win games and have yet to lose any regular time games this season. They currently sit at 10-0-1
  6. @Gaikoku-hito @Jubis @Moon I think you can go Jubis, been 14 hours.
  7. Henry Eagles has always set himself goals for any upcoming season throughout his whole career. This started back when he was playing in junior hockey. It helped to to focus on the goal which was always achievable and he would judge his season based on how far he exceeded or not exceeded the goal. Last season Henry's goal was to hit 60 points in his season as a Sophomore. He missed this goal by 2 points which in his mind the season was a failure for him BUT he played exceptionally well in the playoffs by scoring 24 points in 22 games and winning a Continental cup. So was the goal and season for him really a failure? "To me yes, the regular season was still a failure in my mind as I didn't hit my goal. I don't count the playoffs when I set my goal " Henry explained " Failing a simple goal of 60+ points in the season will really motivate me this season to do better and hit the goal that I set for myself" This goal setting can be a good and bad thing for players, it can be good as it gives players something to achieve and something to work towards but it can be bad as it can cause an undue amount of pressure to try and achieve that goal. For Henry, the goal was never seen as stress or pressure. For this season, Henry has decided that he will try to strive for a 90+ point season. He believes this is a very achievable goal with where he is at the current point in his career. With the team-mates he has around him and the ice time he is expected to get, there should be no issues according to him to reach this number or even exceed it. "I was a first overall pick and I should be hitting 90+ points at this point in my career" Henry continues "I have to really go out and prove myself this year as in terms of first overall picks I have been slightly underperforming in my own opinion. I think this season is my breakout season and I will be able to show everyone what i'm really about. I look forward to the new season and trying to defend our cup. While I am still a team first player and want whats best for the team, I am also starting to think on how I can improve myself to win some awards" It will be interesting to see how Henry will play this season. Will he be motivated and have a fire lit under his ass to reach his goal or will be fold under the pressure and have a mediocre season? We will be providing updates throughout the season as Henry Eagles chases his first awards as well as a career high season in points. We are predicting that Henry will takeover the goal scoring lead on the Wolves and finally round out to be the sniper he is capable of being.
  8. Congrats to all those selected! Let's get another cup!
  9. Well what can be said about Henry Eagles upbringing? He was born into a hockey family and has lived and breathed hockey since his first breath into this world. He was born in Wroclaw, Poland into the Eagles Dynasty. His father, Tom Eagles, was a star defenseman in the VHL who played most his career in Calgary. His Grandfather was Greg Eagles who was an all-star goaltender who played a majority of his career in Vancouver where Henry currently plays. If any player can be given a head-start into the world of hockey then Henry is that guy. Henry had hockey blood running through his veins and to no surprise at all to anyone, the word "hockey" was his first word. He also received some of the best training you could get growing up and it will be no surprise to anyone when he becomes a VHL superstar. Here is a little biography about his upbringing and how Henry got to where he is today. From the moment he could first walk he was put on skates and given a stick to hold in order to help him be the best that he can be in hockey and to give him the best shot to make it big into the VHL. There was always lots of hype around Henry and he has been able to handle the pressure of that hype. Growing up first in Poland and then in Calgary, he was always selected to play on all the top tier junior teams. Below we will look at some of the teams he played for. While Henry didnt play long in Poland due to his father being selected by Calgary, he did play for the top under 10 team in his hometown of Wroclaw. He was the captain of his team and led his team to a European tournament championship. He did this while media and scouts were already following and travelling to watch his games which would be stressful for any young kid. " It doesn't bother me, I just see them as fans at a game. My main goal is to help my team win and not focus on whats happening outside of the rink" a young Henry once said to a reporter. After his move to Calgary, he would go on to play for his high school as well as as the CJHL which was the Calgary junior hockey league. Trained by his grandfather (as his father was playing with Calgary), Henry became one of the most fearsome snipers in the CJHL. Every night he played the opposing teams would have trouble shutting him down no matter who they put on him. It felt like he was a 25 year old all-star playing against junior players even though he was one of the youngest players in the league. Eventually due to his skill and some help from the other two famous Eagles, Henry joined the Calgary Hitman in the CHL. This was an interesting time for Henry as he was the youngest player ever to suit up in the CHL but he quickly become one of the best players. By playing in Calgary, Henry was also able to attend many of his fathers game as well as practice with the Wranglers which really gave him a development boost. Most young players do not get to practice with a pro team and especially a team that was as good as the Wranglers. "Looking back at that time now, I can see how at such a young age I was able to develop so quickly" Henry says " I was training with some of the best players in the world and learning everything I could from them. My father was such an instrumental help in getting me exposure to this and it really went a long way to developing into who I am today" There was lots of interest from many leagues around the world to acquire Henry from the NHL to the KHL and all the leagues in between but Henry was not interested. He only had one league in his head and that was the VHL. "All the Eagles have played in the VHL and I was not about to break that tradition. While the NHL was very appealing to me I just believe the talent is better in the VHL and I wanted to play against the best. The VHL has become one of the greatest leagues in the world and I am happy to be able to play here" On draft night there was another surprise for Henry as he was the first Eagles to be drafted first overall and would also be playing for the exact same team his grandfather was drafted into. Only the future tell if he will be able to win as many awards as his grandfather and become the greatest Eagles to play in the VHL
  10. Henry Eagles in a pre-season interview has announced his goals for this upcoming season. He mentioned that this season he is ready to say that he expects to hit 90+ points on the season and also wants to win an individual award after winning the continental cup last season. " I always try to set goals for myself every season and goals that I know I am capable of reaching" Henry says " 90+ points seems like a lofty goal in my 3rd season but I believe I can get it done. I have been training hard this off-season and I think this is a goal I can strive for an actually hit" Last season Henry set his goal for 60+ points but only managed 58 on the season. Setting it at 90+ this season has many wondering if he can even come close as he only improved by 27 points from his rookie to his sophomore season. What it will come down to is what line he will be playing on and how many minutes he plays a night. He did improve last season with increased playing time and we will see if he is able to once again improve on his point total.
  11. Sorry was away most day today due to an event F - Henry Eagles F - Molly the Cat @Moon
  12. The Season 85 1st overall pick, Henry Eagles, has signed a five-year extension (Monetary terms not disclosed) with the Vancouver Wolves. This deal will see Eagles spend most of his career in Vancouver. Eagles officially signed the deal last week but the announcement came today. This contract will see the star locked up until Season 91. “I love being a Wolf and am very excited to follow in my grandfathers (Greg Eagles) footsteps and playing my career here in Vancouver,” Eagles said in a statement. “It was a tremendous moment winning the cup and I can’t wait to continue our journey to bring another continental cup back to Vancouver not just this season but for the full time I am here" “I want to thank the management for believing in me and extending me long term, I know at times I haven’t performed my best but they can see what I am capable of” Eagles continues “The Wolves have already accomplished amazing things since they drafted me and there is a lot more work to be done. The fans deserve more cups and its our goal to bring that to them” Eagles was a big part of last seasons continental cup win, posting up 12 goals, 12 assists for 24 points in 22 games played in the playoff run. He has steadily been improving season to season and many are expecting a huge breakout for Henry this season. “Henry is the one guy we wanted in the S85 draft and a player we wanted to build around,” Wolves GM said. “His talent is amazing and we are very happy to have him locked up for the next 5 years. We have many big things planned and Henry is one part of that puzzle. We can’t wait to see what Henry will bring the Wolves in the future” Fans and media were also happy with the signing as they always want to see their up and coming stars stay with the team for long term. The hope now is that Henry can turn into a 90-100 point player in the upcoming season. While this is a big task, he has been improving each of the seasons he has played and heading into this new season looks to be even better “Last seasons goal was to hit 60 points and I fell 2 points short, this has really motivated me to get better and I think it showed in the playoff run “ Henry continued during the signing press conference “ For this season I will be setting a very ambitious goal and we will see if it works out. My goal for this upcoming season will be 100 points. This is almost double my production of last season but it’s a goal I think I can reach” While an ambitious goal, with more ice-time both fans and management think this is a very achievable goal. Henry has slowly been breaking out as star in the VHL and with the current team-mates he has in Vancouver, there is no doubt in our mind that this goal will be reached.
  13. The hangover of winning the Continental cup is over for Henry Eagles and the Wolves as they are back in training camp looking at repeating this season. The Wolves will look much different heading into the start of this season as two of their biggest contributors for the cup run last season have been traded away. Cheese and Leduc have been moved due to salary cap constraints and the Wolves will need to figure out who will step up and fill the void. "It was tough losing those two guys but that is the business. We have to stay cap compliant so we had to move them" Henry says " I look forward to the new group of players coming in and working on building chemistry with them. I also think we have some great players from last years team that can step up and fill the void those 2 left such as Maple and Bouchard. I still think we have a great chance of repeating if we all play to our potential" It will be interesting to see how the champions start of the season and if the moves they made in the off-season will keep them competitive. The season starts in a few shorts weeks so stay tuned to see if the Wolves can once again win the Continental cup.
  14. The fairy tale story of the Wolves this season ended in a great conclusion as the Wolves emerged as Champions. Many people didn't think the Wolves would advance far as they faced tough opposition. Luckily with great skill and determination from the Wolves player they managed to be victorious. After the Continental Cup win the Wolves players and management partied all night. "It was a great atmosphere, we were out late and had a good time with the team, management and some lucky fans" Henry said " this is a feeling I could get used to and I can't wait to try and win back to back championships. We still have a great team and I know we will be challenging for the cup again" The Wolves now will enjoy some much needed time off and each player will get to spend 1 or 2 days with the cup. Henry has already decided he will spend 1 day with the cup in Poland and 1 day with the cup in Vancouver.
  15. Review: Good write up, I would maybe add more details to some of the games as some of the details were short (Game 3). I would also add color and a picture. Other then that its a good review of the series and written from your perspective. Always interesting to see other people's take on how the series went.
  16. The Vancouver Wolves and Henry Eagles have won the Continental Cup! This is the Wolves 4th cup since Season 80 and first for Henry Eagles. Today we are lucky enough to sit with Henry and discuss with him the championship win and some other information regarding him and the Wolves. R: First off Henry, congratulations on the cup win! Must feel amazing and exciting at the same time? H: It feels awesome! I am so happy to be able to bring the cup back to the amazing Wolves fans! They have been great for us all season and they deserve it just as much as we do. R: Many people had written you off in the playoffs and then also in the finals when the Wolves went down 2-0. Did that in any way motivate the team to do better? H: It definitely did! We were the underdogs from the start as most thought we would lost to the Wranglers. We played very well and knocked them off. In the finals as soon as we went down 2-0 everyone was saying the fairy tale story had ended but we had a twist ending waiting for everyone as we managed to come back and win. This goes to show you should never write off anyone. In the playoffs any team can win and any team can come back from a big deficit. R: A fun fact your grandfather, Greg Eagles, also won a cup with the Wolves. Can you discuss a little about that? H: He was the first Eagles to win a cup and I guess its full circle now with him winning a cup and then his grandson winning a cup with the same team. It's definitely interesting for sure! R: We have also heard you recently accepted a 5 year contract with the Wolves which will see you spend pretty much most your career with the Wolves, what was the thoughts behind that? H: I love being here, we have a great locker room and the management has been great. We just won a cup and it was a no brainer to commit to the Wolves for the long terms. Similar to my grandfather where he spend almost his whole career here. It's a great place to play and I think we have the team to win a few more cups! R: What are your plans for the off-season? H: Same as always, back to training and no time off. I have to keep working hard to get better. I want to break that 100pt mark next season. I am still not 100% happy with my point totals and I need to do better. That is the goal and we will see if I can finally achieve it this upcoming season. R: Where will you take the cup for your one day? H: I will take it back home to Poland and celebrate with the Polish fans there and luckily I was able to get it for one extra day where I will come and celebrate with the Vancouver fans as well as my grandfather and father. I always like to share these moments with the fans and those that helped me become the player I am today.
