The draft ended with Roger Eagles going 3rd overall to the Los Angeles Stars. A great city that breeds superstars in all sports and one of the cities that the Eagles dynasty has not yet played for. After the draft festivities ended, Roger, had a discussion with his GM Zack about the role he will play in the upcoming season. The answer was that Roger will be playing in the VHL and starting his rookies season in the next few weeks. The ultimate decision was left to Roger and noticing that LA did not yet have a set goalie, the decision was an easy one to make. Many believe that Roger is ready to be a starting goaltender in the league and may potentially challenge for a rookie of the year award. There will be many great candidates this season and should lead to a exciting race. " I was thrilled to be selected by Los Angeles as I believe they have a great up and coming team that could be a dynasty in the next few seasons and excited to be trusted by the team to be their goalie of the future" Roger said during his post-draft interview " My goal is to help the team win and eventually compete for that continental cup. As mentioned in pre-draft interviews the ultimate goal is to make it to the hall of fame and I hope to start off on the right foot this upcoming season. I have been training hard and can't wait for my debut" Roger is no stranger to coming into a league under experienced but playing like he belongs. He recently completed a stint in the VHLE as an under experienced goalie and beat out much more experienced goalies for the Orion D H Cheister IX trophy which is awarded to the best goalie in the VHLE. "I plan on reproducing that effort into the VHL. I think this will be a rookie season for the ages and the rookie of the year race will be an exciting one. I know some of my rivalries from the VHLE will also be making their debuts in the VHL this season and while they may be more seasoned, I believe I have the bigger ambition to be one of the all-time greats" Roger continued " It will also be very exciting to play on a team with young, hungry players who are all looking to make their mark known in the league. This was an absolutely great fit and I can't wait to get the season going"

Q1) What would be your one suggestion to the BOG to improve the league Controversial but my suggestion would be to remove Graphic as a 6pt task (while some are excellent, there is also a lot of low effort ones). Media posts and Podcasts should stay and maybe come up with something else for 6pt. Q2) If you were allowed to make one change to the league to make it worse what would it be Have AI take over as managers of every team! Lets see how they do lines, strats and drafts! Q3) If your player had to do a sport in the summer olympics what would it be and why Soccer, play in real life and I believe my fictional VHL player would also play! ----------------------------- Q1) Draft Hype! Will you be watching the VHL Draft? Q2) Which VHL team do you think will be the most significantly improved after the draft ends? Q3) Would you want $1,000,000 now or $.50 for every second that you spend without the internet? (once you log back into the internet, the countdown stops and will not resume)

Roger Eagles attended the VHLE awards held a few nights ago and headed into the ceremony with no expectations. This was his first season in the E as an up and comming prospect and didn't believe he would challenge for any trophies this season. Roger was shocked when his name was announced as the winner of the Orion D H Chiester IX Trophy; which is the trophy for the top goalie in the VHLE. Roger was up against some tough competition with AIeksanteri Kaskiniemi-Kekkonen and Soju being named the other finalists. He finished the season with a 0.932% save percentage and a goal against average of 2.50. He also managed 2 shutouts throughout the season. " Shocked is an understatement I think, I really had no idea" Roger said while accepting the award " I come in every day trying to do my best for whatever team I play for and it is nice to be recognized for those efforts. Being a first time E player and coming from a history of a great hockey family, there was pressure to perform and I guess this validates those efforts. Thank you to everyone that voted for me and can't wait to see what the future will bring" Roger is the first Eagles dynasty player to win a trophy in the minor leagues. Greg, Tom and Henry Eagles were never awarded minor leagues awards and this could be the start of a special career for the young goalie. He has plans to be the top Eagles yet and also has aspirations to be the first Eagles to enter the HOF. "While we have had a great family line of players come through this league, with many awards and continental cups, not one Eagles player has entered the Hall of fame." Roger says " Everyone knows how hard it is to get into it and one of my goals for my career will be to be the first Eagles player to enter it. I think with the training program I am on and this early award win, that this could be a reality. I just have to come in and show what I can do in the VHL" Roger Eagles will also be aiming to be the highest award winner in the dynasty. He will be chasing Greg Eagles, who was the first goalie in the VHL with the Eagles name, who achieved 3 individual awards during his time in the league. 3 awards seem like something easy to achieve but in a league as highly competitive as the VHL, it will be alot of work. " 4 individual awards is the minimum number I am aiming for, while I will not sacrifice team play to achieve these goals as I am always team first, this is just me setting my goals " Roger continued " For me to be at 100% I have to set myself goals and achievements that I want to achieve throughout my career. This is me doing that today in saying I am going to work towards the hall of fame and at minimum 4 individual awards in the VHL. I have quite a few seasons to accomplish this and I honestly can't wait to get started"

Review: @Mack71 I think this is a little short for a media spot. Media spots have to be 500+ words. This one comes in at 238. I don't know if you meant this to be a vhl.com article? Needs some punctuation as well as its a very long run-on sentence. The idea and topic is great but needs to be outlined better and have more content. Keep going off this idea to add another 250 words, maybe add an interview with your player at the bottom or maybe describe some of the games your player played in or even his final stats in the junior showcase. Rating 1/10 until minimum length is reached.

Today is draft day and in all the mock drafts Rogers Eagles is slated to go first overall, but will that actually happen? " There is a lot of good players in this draft and mock drafts are just that, mocks" Roger said " I am going to be happy wherever I go and look forward to starting my VHL career, I had discussions with a few teams so I know where I may potentially play and looking forward to all the draft day activities" Having just come off a Orion D H Chiester IX Trophy win in the VHLE, Rogers is looking to continue his winning ways in the VHL. The other question is where will he play next season, in the VHL or in the E? "I have been asked this question quite a few times and honestly it all comes down to what the team needs" Roger continued "If they need me to start right away in the VHL then I will be more then happy to do that as I believe I am ready, if they need me to play another season in the E then I will also be happy going for back to back award wins. I am a team player and will do what is required to make the team better" Tune in tonight to see where Roger will get drafted and if a second Eagles can go 1st overall!

1) What are your players non hockey related goals for this off-season? 2) Super early predictions....who will win the championship across all 3 leagues (VHL/VHLE/VHLM) 3) Every Day, ten things appear in your backyard. If all of them start with the same letter, what would you want that letter to be?

The Eagles dynasty which currently consists of Greg, Tom, Henry and Roger have quietly built a massive training facility in their hometown of Wroclaw. This massive facility is used exclusively for any Eagles that is playing in the VHL and the first player to be completely trained at this facility specifically for his role is Roger Eagles. No one other then family members have had access to this facility but last week media and a few VHL scouts were allowed into the facility to see Roger go through his off-season paces. The facility, which is roughly 100,000 sq ft, consists of the following rooms: 2 state of the art full size Ice-Rinks. One catered to goalies and one catered to Forwards/Defensive players. 3 state of the art gyms, powered by AI to cater to different aspects of training (Stamina, Muscle, Coordination) 1 War room 1 skatemill (similar to a treadmill but you use it with skates) Diagnostic Facility plus many other high tech rooms that we were not allowed to see during this visit This facility is a state-of-the-art facility which also includes AI incorporation to track every aspect of training and to inform where improvement is needed. Sensors are placed everywhere you can think of from the Ice, to the equipment, training equipment and even on water bottles. All this information leads to the war-room, which is filled with different monitors showing stats of how much water has been drank to how much more reaction time Roger needs to stop an extra .1% of shots. It is a technological Marvel and we were only shown about 35% of the facility. "We do not want to show everything as we could lose our competitive edge. This facility is meant to ensure that every Eagles player is utilizing every avenue to be the best player" Greg Eagles, the creator and founder of the facility as well as the first ever Eagles player to play in the VHL, "Roger will be our first player that has been in this facility since we have opened it. We are seeing some great improvements that I wish I had when I was coming up through the ranks. With AI we can see every little thing that needs improvement and what training we need to focus on to make sure we close any gaps" We were shown Roger going through the paces in the Goalie Arena and seeing the billboards light up with what AI wanted him to work on next but we were not shown the results. It is interesting to see that instead of taking drills from a coach, the drills were being led by AI. Anytime a mistake was detected it quickly lit up on the board as to what went wrong and how to improve. We then see Roger quickly adapting to what was written on the board and the same play ran again until he nails it 100%. "It is hard work but its also incredible to be a part of this new AI training revolution. We will see how this training compares to actual coaches but I already feel myself getting better and improving" Roger said " All the feedback you could ever want is displayed to you live and then also at the end of the session in the war room. The session is also filmed at different angles that you can review what went right and what went wrong. Its just incredible and I am happy I get to be a part of this"

After a lackluster playoff run in Rome, Roger Eagles, began to clean out his locker. It is not known where Eagles will play next season, it may even be back in Rome, but the cleanup has to happen. "Its the down point in the season, when you know you didn't win the cup and you're potentially seeing your team-mates for the last time" Roger said " I always hate locker clean-out day but I know the future looks bright. I am excited to go back home to Poland to do some off-season training and then start prepping for the upcoming draft" Roger is expected to have scouts visit him during his off-season training at the Eagles Training Facility. This will be the first time the facility will be open for scouts to come and see the prospect player and what the Eagles do during their off-season training. "It's an exciting time for me to showcase what I can to the scouts and hopefully that helps with the scouting's team's decisions on where to draft me" Roger said "I think it would be great to have another Eagles go first overall and we are doing everything we can to help the scouts make a better, informed decision as to why I would be the best choice for their team!"

I think this is the first time ever I have finished #1 overall in user ranking! Definitely some lucky picks in there. Looking forward to the next VHFL season!

It was a nightmare end to Roger Eagles in what is now his final game in his debut VHLE season. His team, Rome Gladiators, was down 3-2 in the series heading into game 6. 1st and 2nd period were a pretty close affair. In the first the game was tied 1-1 and in the 2nd period the Gladiators went down 3-2. Things were still going OK and there was hope. Then in the final period, Roger had his worst game of his career all in the span of 20 minutes. Bratislava pulled out all the stops and put up an impressive 22 shots in the final period. This lead to 4 goals going in and Bratislava winning the game 7-2 and the series 4-2. It was a tough way to go out especially in a draft year but Roger did has some good stints throughout the series. It was just an unfortunate way to end things. " I don't know what to say, still shocked to be honest. We just fell apart in the final period" Roger says " We gave it our all but I think we just ran out of steam. I can't blame the team for those 4 goals, I think that blame falls squarely on me. It was a tough series and unfortunately it just wasn't meant to be. Will this effect my draft stock? Who knows but man if a scout was scouting me out for the first time even in that game, I definitely wouldn't pick me early" Roger finished the playoffs with a 2-3-1 record, a .909 save percentage and a 3.46 goals against average. In order to be an elite goalie those numbers have to be much better in the playoffs. "Truth be told the regular season doesn't really count, its the playoffs that matter and I was not able to deliver" Roger continued "Its a hard lesson learned for the future and I will grow as a player because of this. I don't know what the future holds but even though with this defeat, I am still excited with what's to come. I most likely will be back in the VHLE next season and looking forward to redeeming myself. I am not sure if that will be with Rome or some other team but I don't think my VHLE story ends here" Roger is expected to fly to his home country in Poland to continue training at the Eagles facilities up until the VHL Draft. He will continue to hone his skills as he awaits the next steps of his career. It is highly possible Roger will be going through 2 drafts. 1 for the VHL to see where he will play in the upcoming future and the 2nd draft for the VHLE to see where he might potentially play next season if not called up to the VHL immediately. "I have always said I would prefer to play another season in the VHLE but I have also said that if whatever VHL team drafts me, needs to to jump in right away then I am OK with that as well" Roger continued "The season is still on-going so I have not had any discussion with potential teams that may want to draft me but I am sure those will come over the next few weeks. The draft is still quite a while away and that gives me time to continue working on my game and work on any flaws that I noticed during this playoff run"

Roger Eagles and the Gladiators have started out rough in the playoffs. They currently find themselves down 2-1 in the series and need to up the intensity if they want to tie the series. Both losses were all very close but close won't get you the win. "The team has played well I think and we were just unfortunate. We lost both game by 1 goal but we won the 3rd game by 2" Roger says "If I can make that one extra save then it gives our team a better chance to win, so I need to get better and focus. This series will be a close one with potentially one goal games so I need to ensure that we are on the winning end of things" Roger is currently sitting at a .936 save percentage and a 2.6 GAA. If he wants to help Rome advance that GAA must go down. Rome will be looking the tie the series tonight and carry on their regular season form as the team and the fans expect to be playing in the finals.

Q1) What a comeback by the Wolves, what are your thoughts on that series? Q2) Other then the Vancouver Series, is there any other series across the 3 leagues that you are following or that has been as exciting? Q3) If you're trying to fail and you succeed; did you fail or did you succeed?

After a great stretch of wins for Roger Eagles and Rome in the last few games they have finished 2nd overall in the VHLE standings. For the longest time they were stuck in the 4th spot but with a few tactic changes and great effort from all players they managed to climb the ranking and set themselves up for hopefully a long playoff run. Roger was an instrumental part of this climb in the standings and in the final 2 games managed to squeak out the best save percentage in the VHLE. The battle with Aleksanteri Kaskiniemi-Kekkonen went down to the wire as both keepers were tied with the last 2 games remaining. In the end Rogers ended the season with a .932 and AKK with a .931. "It's always a good feeling when you finish on top of a stat leaderboard and I think what is more impressive is the fact that this was my first season in the E where I can in with less experience and skill then all the other goalies" Roger said " This finish has really helped boost my draft potential for any team looking for a future starting goalie" Roger also finished with a 2.5 gaa short of the leader Soju with a 2.4 gaa but with lower skill it is still an impressive feat for a first year VHLE goalie. If Roger can continue this great form heading into the playoffs it can help Rome in a successful VHLE playoff. "While its always great to do well individually, at the end of the day it's team effort. The defenders and everyone on the ice has helped me be the best I can be and its my turn to be my best to try and help these guys win a cup "Roger continued "We have the team capable of winning and I think we have a great shot. These guys have been solid all year and deserve success at the end of the year" The next step for Roger after these playoffs is waiting to see where he will be drafted and what league he will be playing in next season. Whatever team he will go to will have a decision to make in whether he stays in the VHLE for another year or stays up in the VHL to continue his development. Rome fans are hoping that Roger stays focused on the playoff task ahead and not what the future in the draft may hold. " I am always focused on the next game and not looking to far into the future" Roger said " Whatever team drafts me is out of my control and as a team player I will do what that team needs me to do. If they need me to hone my skills in the VHLE for another season then thats what I will do and would most likely be my preference, if whatever team drafts me needs me to step in right away then I think I have also proven that I can play in higher tier leagues and still do very well as I have done here in the E" It will be an interesting next few weeks for Roger and we can't wait to see what will happen.

Great article and good to see. I think this is my first time leading a group but also first overall out of everyone so far with 1600 points! Definitely got lucky with some of the picks.

Questions 1. Which S86 player or goalie are you going to miss after they retire this season? Ash Sparks! Was fun playing with you in Malmo, kept us in most games! 2. Who has been the VHL’s most controversial player/goalie/user for S94? Don't know to be honest, don't follow the controversies but I am sure there were quite a few this season! 3. How did your fave NHL team do for the draft? Are you happy with how they drafted or are you disappointed? Meh is all I can say, didn't have a great pick but probably got the best available at that position. 1) If you participated in VHFL and Super Coach, how are you doing in those fantasy games? Do you think you will finish higher or lower by the end of the season? 2) If you could have any position in the VHL, what would that be (can make one up) and why? 3) If you had to choose, would you give up your sight or your hearing?

Only 3 games left to go for Rome and their starting goalie, Roger Eagles, is chasing the top spot for best save % in the VHLE. He is currently tied with Aleksanteri Kaskiniemi-Kekkonen for top spot with a .932 save percentage as both goalies will be looking to take the lead over the next few games. The one item to note is that Roger Eagles is in his first season in the VHLE and has less TPE and experience in the VHLE compared to AKK who is on his second stint in the league. While that may not change anything, it does show Roger Eagles quality to keep up with goalies who have more experience and skill then him. "I think it will be an interesting race to the end, I think Soju could still be in it so it's really a 3 goalie race" Roger said " I know I wont challenge for the top spot in GAA but holding onto and keeping 3rd is still a great achievement for me as its my first season here and having skipped the M, which meant I was competition against players and goalies with much more skill and experience. It has been a great season for myself and especially Rome who have climbed from being steady in the bottom 3 to now second best team in the league" Rome and Roger will be looking to keep their winning streak alive and secure the 2nd overall spot heading into the playoffs.
-
Roger Eagles has been playing some pretty solid hockey over the last few days and this is helping Rome in their mission to reach the VHLE playoffs this season. It is a tight race between the 2nd and 5th place teams to secure the playoff spot where any of these teams can reach the top 4 and one of these solid teams will end up missing out. "I have been feeling great, recently just got my 2nd shutout, so I have been very happy with my play" Roger said " The team has been playing really well and I think if we continue playing like this down the final stretch of games then we will clinch that final spot. I am excited to play some playoff hockey and we have a great shot at doing that" Roger is also in the top 3 for Save % and GAA. Even though he got a late start due to starting as a backup, he has quickly risen up the rankings and if things go well may even be the top goalie in save % by the end of the season.

Questions: 1) Thoughts on that crazy Stanley cup cup finals? I don't think you could have scripted a better finals! 2) Other then McDavid, who else impressed you the most in the finals? (If you didn't watch, swap the question to who has impressed you the most so far in the VHL) 3) What would happen if there were no hypothetical questions?
-
1) What are your thoughts on this seasons theme week? Did you enjoy writing about the M or did you struggle to put something together? 2) Keeping in line with the theme week, whether it was your first time or 5th time, what is your all time favorite M moment for any of your past or current players? 3) What Element would you choose to control if you could only control one?

Roger Eagles was spotted yesterday helping a local homeless charity by handing out supplies and food to those that are less fortunate and struggling. Most would think this was just a publicity stunt but as of now there have been no mention of this on any of his social media handles or even any news sources. We caught up to Roger to see what this was about. "Too many times people help the less fortunate just for their own clout on social medias and I don't think that is right" Roger says " I approached the local charity here, donated some money and told them I want to help distribute items and food to the homeless here in Rome. I don't need the media following me or camera man following me filming this, this is just to be able to help and give back to the community that has embraced me as a player. We have to be role models to our fans and I hope this inspires others to start giving back to those that may not have as much" Roger spent around 3 hours with the charity and those who were able to receive food and supplies were grateful for the act of kindness

This week the VHL celebrates the VHLM with week long activities and events all over the VHLM host cities. 10 cities, 10 events and below we go look at 4 of the events that will be taking place during this celebration week. Las Vegas Aces - The Aces are holding multiple concerts all week at the sphere with free entry if you show a ticket stub to any of the Las Vegas Aces games this season. The team also will host an open ice skate with the players as they try to drum up more interest in the team during a difficult start to the season where they only have 2 wins. The open ice skate will be a good event for families to skate with some of their favorite up ang coming players as well as to chat with the coaches. The event will culminate in a nightclub experience where fans can win a chance to go out and party with the players at an exclusive club. This is an event not to be missed. Ottawa Lynx - The Lynx will be hosting a team skate and meet and great at the rideau canal. There will be many food and drink vendors as well as musical acts throughout the day. The event will run from 2-4pm on Saturday. Throughout the week the team will also be holding multiple contests to test your hockey skills with winners receiving life time season pass tickets. The team is also having an open house at the arena where fans can walk around and look at the locker rooms and executive offices as well as go on Zamboni rides. Children will also have a chance to participate in free coaching lessons throughout the week as they get to learn the basics of being a solid hockey player. Halifax 21st - The current VHLM standing leaders are hosting a free movie night with the players at the local theatre. Fans must RSVP in advance as there is limited seating. The team is also hosting an open hockey tournament on their rink and the winners of this tournament will get to play in the finals vs 5 of the Halifax 21st player, this is a once in a lifetime opportunity to play against players that may one day be VHL All-stars. There is only a limited amount of team registration spots open. Halifax will also be donating all proceeds from the event to help more children be able to afford to play hockey. Miami Marauders - The Miami team is hosting a 2 day block party around the arena. Players will be wandering around taking pictures and signing autographs. There will also be many headlining entertainment acts throughout the week and visits from past Miami Alumni. There will also be an airshow on the final day where fans can witness the Blue Angles as they perform their high stakes air aerobatics. Fans attending the event will be able to participate in a scavenger hunt to find certain items around the arena and block party. 10 fastest winners of the scavenger hunt will win an exclusive yacht party with the Miami team. There is much to do during the week long event and it is a good marketing opportunity for all the teams to bring in new fans. While we didn't have the time to go through each city, you can get a good idea what to expect in all 10 major cities.
