1 Season just ended. We sit in 5th place, 10 points behind the Yukon Rush, who we'll be facing in the 1st round. How do you prepare for this matchup? Since this series is done, I'll say I think we prepared really well for Yukon. I saw the guys putting in extra shifts after practice was over. It was a determination that I don't think most teams can match. 2 Who on the team needs to step up his game if we want to make it to the 2nd round? I think, as a whole, we all have to step up our games if we plan to take the 2nd round. We have a great team, but we can always try to be doing better. 3 Among the other teams in the playoffs, who do you think has the best odds of bringing the S67 Founder's Cup home? Besides ourselves, I think it's between Philadelphia and Ottawa again. Both teams had strong foundations in play to contend for a 2nd cup. I also think we're in the mix there as well, ofcourse. 4 In the same vein, if you followed the VHL season, who do you think has the best odds of taking the S67 Continental Cup? I think it has to be Helsinki again. Great team, but I must say I haven't been following the VHL post regular season. 5 Do you embrace or deny the rumours that say the Halifax 21st is actually a satanic cult? I EMBRACE IT, OF COURSE! 6 Are you excited about being drafted in the VHL and/or in the VHLM in the offseason? Where do you hope you'll land? If you were drafted in the VHL already, are you excited about possibly joining the VHL team that drafted you next season? I have a feeling that I will be protected for the expansion draft so, I don't expect myself to go to a new team. However, I'm excited to see which players are chosen. It'll be a very interesting season in S68.

Good series! I know the Rush are a great team so I was expecting this to be a lot closer. Good luck to all the players on Yukon, I hope you guys boss it wherever you end up. Lets keep the boats going!

Hello @Higgins! Good to see you back! I'll keep it short for you here. We're looking to add our 4th member to the top 4 on our defensive core. We're currently in 5th and we're planning on making a deep playoff push. I'd be willing to give you PP/PK minutes on top of the top 4 minutes you'd be getting. If you do stay active, I'll definitely be bumping up your minutes even more! More teams are going to give you some offers, so my suggestion is to hear everyone out and then choose the team who interests you the most. Yaaaaaas big win!

8/17/2019: Earlier this week, it was announced that we would be getting two brand new teams into the VHL. With that, it means theres going to be an expansion draft and more spots for players who are being shunned on their current teams. I'm quite excited for 2 more teams to join our league since it gives us more of a competitive feel and while we may lose a player, I hope that he is not one of our best and our young stars can be protected. They've announced the GMs for the two teams in Diamond_Ace and Enorama. I'll be completely honest, Enorama helped shape me earlier last season. He gave me a chance to prove my skills and worth on the international stage and we got bronze with Asia. Together, we were a very strong team with Eno knowing how to get the most of the sim. This season, sadly I was not able to play in the World Junior Championships for Asia due to ineligibility. Enorama, with no goalie options was granted 2 goalies who were FISTED ANALLY BY A CIRCUS MONKEY by their respective teams and still got a bronze out of the awkward situation. He's great at man-managing as well as motivating others to play stronger and harder. I honestly think, there couldn't have been a better person for the job and he deserved his opportunity in the big leagues. I think he'll do well and I wish him all the best of luck moving forward. Diamond_Ace is a very experienced GM coming into the second team. They say, he was the best GM in the VHLM ever and he was a long time GM for the Calgary Wranglers. Diamond, I think just due to his experience alone was worthy of the job. Besides that, he's an incredible commissioner in the VHLM and a great person overall. Every single time I've had a question or needed any help, he's been there. Plus, I definitely think he knows how to build a team and get the most of the pieces he has. Whispers around the M say he was the best at getting trades/winning trades hard. It's just too bad that he happens to be a blue (and I don't mean a blue on the site or the discord), as in, he's a Chelsea supporter. Yuck. Other than that, I think he's an great fit and a tidy GM. I can't wait to see what he does in the draft and I wish him nothing but the best of luck moving forward. I'm so excited to see the league take its next steps in accommodating the masses and the young talent in the M thats yet to be drafted. I'm also excited to see how this affects Malmo going forward. I have full faith in the commissioners of the league as well as the new members of the BoG to fully take this league to the next level. We've been growing at such an astronomical rate that I'm so proud to be apart of such a cool community. Sincerely, Michael Johnson

JT: This is James Timmons from the Athletic here with a quik interview with Michael Johnson coming out of practice in Malmo. Hello Michael! MJ: Hello James, thank you so much for having me here. JT: New came out a few days ago on the VHL getting 2 expansion teams for next season. How do you think this affects the league going forward? MJ: Well, I think it's a great idea considering the influx of fantastic players coming through. The last 2 drafts have been incredibly deep and it looks as if this season is going to be just as deep. JT: Great. I'm wondering if you wish this was coming in your draft year. MJ: Honestly, It would've been very interesting if it was. Unfortunately, I'm not sure how the draft would've went down. It's good to know who the GM's are going to be with Enorama being a former GM of mine in the WJC last season. He replicated this season with Asia and I think he's a great candidate. Diamond_Ace is also a great shout. He's one of the Commissioners of the VHLM and is incredibly intelligent in his job. JT: Wow, sounds like you're quite informed on this topic. MJ: I am. I think it's very important to stay on top of the league and know whats coming and whats not coming. I just can't wait for next season to come and see both these guys in action.
