  1. Not true though ? Lol moscow made the playoffs 2 times in Komarovs tenure at min
  2. What eagles made the playoffs first time? It was seasons before this one lol Komarov was still playing in the league and had some promise.
  3. Figured id come back with a bang haha
  4. Things are going well, for those who are curious my son has taken to the chemo well. Things looking up, my wife and daughter are both in good health. My job, settled down again after our usualy christmas rush people blowing fuses left and right trying to make beautiful houses for the holidays. The few months fully away from the league, and the about half a year i was barely active. Given me a nice breather. I dont really desire to join this season. As the draft just occured, or is going too soon? So figure another couple months away for another season will give me a nice breather. It also brings me to my next topic. As always my player will be russian national, he will be a Komarov. However i want to give the league, the choice in his first name, can not be Sergei, Vladimir, Pavel, or Evgeni as they have graced the league already. As well as what position/player arch i should be. I will rule out goalie right away as i was never a TPE whore, to be an elite goalie so that position makes no sense. @Members
  5. With the announcement of Evgeni being traded out of Moscow, much to his displeasure. Effective as soon as i can find out how to on portal, Evgeni Komarov will be retiring from professional hockey. It has been a wild ride, it all started with Vladimir Komarov who rose through the ranks and is still in Davos record books and the toughest bastard to play there. Then came Pavel Komarov he is still to this point my most disappointing player, i got overwhelmed as a first time GM, and neglected him he also switched positions at a bad time due to team need. Then came my best player Sergei Komarov he was a force on both ends of the ice a product of all my best work. He was a special player who sadly never reached a good plateau because he was stuck in the era of some of the greatest TPE whore. Last up is Evgeni Komarov, the player i wanted to be got scrapped when a team in Russia finally happened. I turned away abit from being a true goon player to help the team win a cup. I did it all for the team, sadly i had to go MIA with my first born being diagnosed with brain cancer its taken a toll on me my wife and daughter. Which led to the trade as i was a deadweight veteran. I want to thank everyone, that has had a good impact on my time here. I apologize if i forget anyone. @STZ @Victor @CoachReilly@der meister@BluObieZ @Spade18 @gorlab First of coachreilly you were my first ever GM with Davos its a shame we could never reach the top together. Took a gamble on a poor english speaking Russian. Second Bluobiez you challenged me, part of me hates having caved to you cuz Davos maybe wouldnt have been a mess after pushing to keep you. But it made for a fun ride all the same that almost ended in a cup. Third is STZ the guy who drafted me the highest ill ever go. Sadly we just like Rielly just could not get over the hump and win a cup together 4th is the duo of Spade and Der meister, probably the two teammates who stood out the most in my time. Probably cuz we came up in juniors together, then played most of our pro years together too. Sucks we got close but never hit the peek. Next is victor i mainly thank you for finally getting russia back in the league. Shame we could never win a cup either seems to be a theme teams getting close but never winning. Last is gorlab, you built a great player in jags and seemed motivated to be a top dog since joining keep it up. For those i have forgotten to mention im sorry, many ive talked to some i helped shape there careers. I wish the VHL the best Signed Sasha Orlov
  6. Guess its good my career in VHL is done anyways lol lifes been too busy
  7. Glad Evgeni is my last player I dunno i dont agree with making GMs pay for there players. Especially if we are gunna implement a point where they have to he drafted by there team. This effectively can cripple a franchise but hey everyone else likes it. An i wont be applying for GM again anyways so doesnt effect me
  8. I mean none of you have anything in Evgeni Komarov in fights lol. Also wtf i scored 2 goals?
  9. The Moscow Menace recently had their first ever change in leadership since its its joined the league. With Gruebaur seemingly going MIA, stunning the young team. It was not totally clear who would be named captain, would they go to Komarov someone who will never be a star, but willing to bleed for his home land? Or one of their future stars guys like Jaguar, or the new vets in town like Weyad. When the announcement was made it would be Komarov the home fan base was estatic. A russian who takes no shit from anyone, someone who stands up for his team mates. This season has been Moscows best to date, currently leading the European conference. They are not taking it for granted either realizing they may hit a few road bumps still as a young team. They are taking in the lessons, as they come but would not be shocked to see if they fall and go back to where many predicted battling for a wild card slot. That being said, its been a quiet season for the Russian who seems to have lost some of his game this year, as he has been evolving for the team. Make no mistake he still fights, and still hits like a truck playing like any shift could be his last. However, it seems the focus lately on offense has hurt his overall game, instead of producing higher results its been rather poor so far. However, he continues to support his team on the ice, and never gives up on shifts. Leading by example because that's what the best captains do. Cast, Sterling, Weyed seem to have breathed new life into the roster, with Jaguar, Komarov, Nano still growing and doing their thing well. May still continues to experience some growing pains, but he is taking everything in stride as a young goalie. Pavlovs, switch to defense has been a tough one but he has really helped the break out. Baille, Vineauglt, and Randoms have also really done all that is asked for them, all at different stages of their careers they have bought in to the coaches system aiding a roster pushing for its first ever playoff game. If they can maintain this style of play they should at least be able to play in the playoffs this season. Lots of hockey left to play this season, and only time will tell where Moscow officially ends up. However, this team is really enjoy the ride. Captain Russia hopes he can find his game again before the playoffs. Because if he can he really is built for that type of game. The tight checking hard hitting style. He would be a force to be reckoned with. He hopes before his time is up, that he can bring home a cup to his homeland. A dream his family has wanted for a long time. Only time will tell as he continues to love every minute playing for the leagues first ever VHL Russian team. *Claiming as my doubles week for the VHL birthday*
  10. F- Jake Peralta D- Harvey Spector G- John Snow
  11. Sadly if we make it harder to level up skills my time will be done here. Im a semi active as it is in terms of TPE whores. I already cant compete with the all stars will just make that gap worse for me
  12. Ah so in the current system holder given its been like 50+ seasons lol and impossible to break those records on am old sim
  13. According to the index is 305 by your player ?
  14. 2 seasons ago Evgeni Komarov stole the VHLM record for PIMs in a season. This year he dethroned the chump in the VHL. Now owning both records officially, which i never assumed would happen given i was spending so much time upgrading offense this season. Komarov game has shifted a lot, since he officially joined the Menace though he is starting to refocus on his defensive game, and checking again once he rounds his offense to a level he is happy to be able to help the roster. The PIMs record is not something everyone wants, but it was one of Evgeni's goals. Unlike the others he will now go down in history. Pretty sure he is well on his way to breaking the record for most PIMs in a career which would be cool as well though do not think that is tracked at all. Evgeni has a new goal, to become the best defender in his family a hard goal to accomplish with Vlad the impaler in his way the Dynamo legend himself.
  15. Does it? Ive never used it before an im old dont know any better
  16. Recently, we saw Brand tournament die it comes as no real big shock. However, I feel the brand were always a big miss. Now we have 2 ways members can earn 8 TPE a week without ever contributing more than a link to the website. Members who do not have time to balance multiple leagues miss out on extra TPE. Which is why my proposal is something that revives brands, well giving members a new fun spin off to earn some TPE. Brand could be a once a season thing each brand gives your player TPE to a specific skill set. Example would be the Vikings could be a stick company and give you a boost of X amount of TPE based on writing a certain amount or a graphic. It must be a brand hype article, it cant just be some random article or graphic. It would be uncapped as it’s a once a season event. It gives brand some life, makes it fun way to build these weird and random companies. It brings activity to our board and would be exclusive to members who post on it. Here is what I was thinking for every current brand and what their specialty would be. Haterade- Could be involved in endurance given, things like Gatorade are about quenching thirst to help you keep going it would make the most sense. Could do articles based on sports drinks or energy drinks, maybe even their new protein shake. Something that would fit with this brand. Jolt Juice- Gets tricky here because this one and Haterade feel similar which is boring. Perhaps this one could deal with strength Skating or be rebranded all together as this is just an idea an we could alter the companies. However if we kept this, it could be a company in medical so they have supplements that make you feel more energized an stronger or faster skater. Netflex- This one we could go one of a few ways, for something fun it could be a boost to fighting, though it would never be used often then. Strength if we changed Jolt Juice. Ads for this company could be like home gym sets, weights, or a boxing ring . True North Gear- This is pretty easy could be Skating, Puck handling, or passing. Depending on which one we went with would be advertising gloves, skates, any real hockey equipment that would aid you in those skills. Ubuyalot Games- I would probably go with puck handling or rebrand here, reason I would go puck handling would be u need good coordination to be a good gamer and handle the puck well. Could be seen on the cover of new games this company makes, or like a VHL 67 etc. Viking – This one is hard but id go with shooting making this a stick making company or again rebrand. Advertisements for this could be for your players own line of hockey stick. Or their new line of sticks/curve on the blades. Maybe even new stick technology. @Admin @Brand Executive @Commissioner @Members
  17. Malmo was trash talking all season, made a bunch of moves to aquire veterans. Got a good goalie, yet here they are season getting close to a wrap and only 4 points ahead of a younger Moscow team, that features only a few players playing in their 3 season an beyond. Most of it 1st and 2nd year players with room to grow. Moscows offense out scores everyone in the league, problem is they arent good at 200 feet yet. Well Malmo really doesnt lead in anything, with near bottom of the pack goals for and goals against. Remember when Malmo thought they were gunna be a playoff team and surprise everyone. Pepperidge farms remembers. Which begs the question, are they really ahead or will Moscow easily leap frog them next year with a full season under their belts? May has been a stud building up, whicy means the goalie will be more experience and better. Nano seems to love Moscow and most of the 1st year dmen will be older and stronger. Plus reinforcements coming from the minors next year to bump those not developing out of the roster. Long live Moscow
