The lack of respect for Evgeni Komarov @Victor tisk tisk

Its only week one of the new VHLM season, and for a few goalies its just the sign of a long season. Sitting 4th in shots faced, Askarov is one of those goalie. The Hounds have very little in the way of support due to the VHLM always being unbalenced. The top teams just stomp the bad teams. Currently sporting a 3-7-3 record, Askarov has been improving his numbers every game despite the Hounds struggle. Most people would not fault the goalies, on bad teams to just stop caring. After all they are being peppered with shots an getting no offensive support. However, these brave goalies keep plugging along Askarov is pushing himself to be better every game. He doesn't care about his stats he cares about how he works his ass off to improve. He wants GMs to be able to look past the numbers and see a goalie eager to improve. The Hounds appear to have added at least one player, to help support the team who is working hard to improve. Well early results for the rest of the team just seems to be coasting on their skill. Which if you look at the record tells you they really lack an should be working.

The S73 Rookie Class: On Pace for Greatness
Gooningitup replied to SweatyBeaver's topic in Archived Media Spots
Good to see rookie scoring up. But current pace wont put any rookie in the top 25 all time rookie seasons. Unless someone goes on a tear which of course is possible as ever improving rookies. -

Fonzi's Corner: The 3 Worst Teams in the VHLM

Poremba is the 2nd best sv% in the league on the worst team in the league. Hes doing just fine with no help at all. -
Into the Fire: Three S73 First Gens Under the Spotlight

9/10 I cant really grade english well. But article looks polished and well put together. Your take on 3 true rookies on the VHL this year was a fun take an it will be interesting to see just how they all do on their respective teams this season. Especially in a year of expansion rosters, that should be high ice time for some of the kids. -
Dan Baillie Jr: A Unique Draft Experience

7/10 Good team mate last year in Saskatoon, you actually played in the top 6 alot of the season so a bit incorrect. I think you only slide to the 3rd after we acquired Brown late season. However, were a very solid role player i think your semi activity hurt more than stats. Especially as i think most of your players in the league have fizzed out. That being said i wish you best of luck with this player of course. And hope you can prove teams who passed on you wrong -
The VHLM has plenty of all star teams, the Aces, Wild, Mauraders, Marlins, Lynx, Houston. All have gone in hard in the quest to capture this seasons Founder cup. Their goalies have easy jobs, just be average or slightly better and they will more often get a win. However, those goalies unlucky to be on the Rush, 21st, Hounds, Reapers, and Kings. They need to be super human to even stand a chance to put up a win. Today we look at these unsung heros and talk about them a bit Halfiax 21st Hex Valentine & Karl Malone @eaglesfan036 @DrHexDex First we will start with Karl Malone, a goalie whose yet to start a game, however should split starts as atleast at this moment both are counted as active members. Though Hex is in danger of becoming inactive. Malone is the best back up in the league in my opinion. Should be able to post some solid numbers. Hex Valentine sits with 0 wins 5 losses, but its not really his fault as he sits pretty with a 904sv% and 4GAA. He is doing his best but facing the 3rd most shots on the entire league. He currently counts as active but if he keeps his current course he may be supplanted by Malone Mexico City Kings Michael Olson & Markus Emerson Jr @Xflexz @MSO94 This duo is the worst in the league in terms of TPE but both are active and one or both could become very solid goalies on the future. Right now Olson is the only goalie to have offically started sitting with a 2-4 record 866sv% and 5.83gaa. His numbers are rather bad, but he is young an lacks the polish and experience as the other goalies. If he can keep earning expect to see those numbers rise. Mexico has some firepower bailing him out as evidence by the 2 wins. He currently faces a ton of rubber with the second most shots against in the entire league. Philadelphia Reapers John Poremba @CrlineDijohn14 No back up active or even on the roster as they use PHI G 1. However they have the one of the best goalies in the league at the moment in my opinion. Poremba currently sits with a amazing 913sv% but he does have a very ugly 5.4gaa. He has 0 wins and 5 losses currently. It shows he is doing everything he can to help the team win, but of course he cant do it all himself facing the most shots against in the league. Hopefully the Reapers can give him a bit more support. Yukon Rush Kloxfield @Kloxified No back up goalie, on the entire roster currently only 1 active goalie. Kloxfield really needs to come through for the Rush as he is the only goalie currently on the roster. Like Mexico duo he is young and new an among the worst goalies in the league training wise. That being said he has done well, despite 0 wins an 5 losses. Kloxfield has a respectable 884sv% and 3.8 GAA. If he keeps improving he should pick up some Wins as the season goes on. Missisauga Hounds Vsevolod Askarov No back up goalie an of course im not going to tag myself. No other active on the roster. Askarov has been steadily improving, but he has actually been fairly awful. When he is good, he has been really good and won. When he's been bad though he has been bad. As is apparent despite his 2 wins an 3 loss record. He currently sports a 878sv% and a 4.4GAA. He is an ever improving player and hopes he can start to really turn it around as the season goes on as he aims to establish himself as a top goalie in the league.

5 Teams in the VHLM Are Better Than You Think!
Gooningitup replied to Plate's topic in Archived Media Spots
I find the lack of respect for Askarov in Missisauga amazing given im quickly moving up the TPE charts and should be a almost capped TPE by season end making me a top G in the league even if my team lacks- 13 replies

We are going to get smashed against the good teams, and im gunna be the difference between us and the bad ones. Which is how i expected the season to go. Everything under the sun, i had a puck shooter at high speeds because i expected to get peppered. I mean i dunno who else it could be but me? Maybe the new guy if he sticks around. If not im really the only guy developing. Umm me for everything not skater related? If we add a new active members them for stuff too i suppose. Miami is pretenders so who really cares We make the playoffs by the skin of our teeth cuz so many bad teams.

Today it was announced that Vsevolod Askarov, had moved from 27th to 17th on the draft board. Many of those above him, were created post trade deadline and have weeks of updates ahead of Askarov. His pace, is being maintained to prove VHLM GMs wrong for passing on him, well improving his draft stock for the upcoming season VHL draft. His numbers will not standing out in a positive way, as He's on a very bad Hounds roster. Which means he knows his work ethic needs to prove why he should be selected above other players in his draft class. Especially as he is a goalie an the latter typically, gets selected later in drafts due to league needs at other positions an so many slots availible to goalies on each team. Time will tell just where he lands, but Askarov strong showing should prove to GMs that he is eager to be a star in the making.

Its been over a week since the Wild, won the VHLM title. The offseason had been in full swing most players went back home. Komarov was told to stay in Canada untill the award show. He was told it would only be a few days. Monday was announced as the show, it was then delayed not 1 but 3 days. Almost a full week after the champs were crowned. Thursday rolled around, Komarov got ready to go again, gets a phone call the show is delayed again. At this point he is pissed off, seriously how can the league be so disorganized he wants to go back home to live his post retirement. Finally friday roles around, the league finally confirms he can finally show up to the award show. The awards for the most part when as predicted, the biggest shock of the night is career VHLMer King Kruul taking home the award for top defender. Much to the shock of just about everyone. Walker, Letang, Mann, and a few others are true top players and got FISTED ANALLY BY A CIRCUS MONKEY over the career journey man. Komarov finally wins the playoff MVP award, which was apparently a no brainer. After being up 9 points on his own team mate it was no shock. Other Wild players beside Komarov and Kruul winning awards. Brown won top 2 way forward of the year, Walker tied for most assists in the league, and GM Wolf won GM of the year. Overall, it was a very successful season for the wild. With Komarov able to finally go back to mother Russia, all focus turns to new prospect Vsevolod Askarov. The Russian netminder was selected in the 4th round of this past VHLM season, by the Missisauga Hounds. The Hounds did not have a pick untill this pick they gambled hard on last season. Only to be bounced very early, now Askarov comes in as the future. The problem is when you do not pick untill the last pick of the 4th round? The team is lacking, chances are this is set to be the worst team in the VHLM this season. The only way that will change is if Askarov just dominate, he's going to have to have MVP like season to even sniff the playoffs. The most likely scenario is the Hounds fail, the fall into a top 4 pick and hopefully can be solid built team going into next season. Askarov will likely return to the VHLM in his second season barring some kind of miracle or desperate need for a goalie in the VHL. He should come back, and be one of if not the best goalie in the VHLM in season 74. He has been driven to be a top pick in this upcoming VHL draft, and make teams look silly for passing on him in the VHLM. Askarov will have to stay focused and confident despite what he is expecting to be a very long season. He is expecting to face the most shots of any goalie by a mile, especially against contenders like Minny and Miami. He will also be facing against his brother Agrapov who joins the Wild this season, as they aim to try to win back to back for the first time on 20 seasons.
-
So basically San Deigo thought they were smart taking 2 goalies. They then tried to get assets back, got a later pick then used on him minny then flips Eagle for 3 assets then uses a higher pick to get Penguin from the Yukon. Winners Yukon and Minny, losers San Diego
-
Hard to really say the draft will change their teams more than the expansion. Minny just went all in so they have to be the favourites. No, even with Conway hes just 1 piece. Going to need some sim magic to beat Miami or Minny Unsure VHLM draft is all over the place and with lack of updates these past few days its unclear. If Krestanovich graduates, then its him 0 debate he will have big time ice time on a rebuilding squad. If not him Brandt has the potential. Why we worrying about next season this is season 73 not 74 worry about that when that bridge crosses.
-
Why are updaters not approving? I get they have lives an need a break too. But maybe we need more? So im not waiting days to get updated
especially as teams are drafting an could impact choices

What Rayz says is true, they really wont draft just on current tpe levels.
And Shawn, stop agreeing against updaters just because you didnt get the job, not helping your case for ever getting the job yourself.
-
@OrbitingDeath Who said anything about me agreeing against them because I didn't get it? It's literally a fucking status update about updaters not updating. I'm agreeing with it. How about stop fucking thinking that everything I do or say has hidden salt in it? Thanks

I feel bad if the Minny GM has to step down before Season 76. Basically all in on this season, hopefully works out for them
-
what about say i join a team next year im 250 TPE im active but the starter ahead of me is 800 but inactive. The team decided because im active and the other guy is not an we wont be contenders how would that fall with the new rule? @BOG @Commissioner

Askarov has no idea where he is projected too go, there is a few goalies from last season up for grabs, along with 2 high profile goalies this season. Which means he knows his name will be called in the later rounds. Likely the 4th of 5th goalie off the board barring a suprise retirement from a big name member. There are a a few teams with goalies who likely will not graduate. They may draft Askarov, as the future but the hope is he can be a starter elsewhere. He is determined to be a stud, though he will settle to be a back up ideally he wants to start as soon as this year. There is only so many spots though so, he may have to settle for the back up job this season. Tomorrow is the draft and time will tell just what the future holds for the russian netminder. Unlike Komarov the early results have been promising for the young goalie.

*this will be my doubles week from the BLM movement free doubles week we all got* https://vhlforum.com/topic/83598-2020-donation-drive-announcement/ Kazimir Komarov shocked the league when he decided this offseason to retire. Komarov was in the middle of a cup run, an looks like the potential MVP of this playoffs. He was only 2 seasons removed from his draft, with signs pointing towards a successful player in the bigs. It was stunning, choice to retire but he is happy to go out a champ and potentially the playoff MVP. In his 3 seasons in the VHLM he posted 112, 116, and 69 points. His low scoring season, he was not even playing on any line up the first 20 games. To put it lightly he was a star in juniors, the best his family had ever produced. Moscow was excited to see what the next Komarov could do for them at the next level. They knew it was coming this season an followed Saskatoon cup run the whole way seeing him racking up points on route to the cup. Moscow who shocked everyone, when the sold off their respective assets and started to rebuild. Still made the playoffs an even in fact won a round. However, alot of attention started to turn to the 3 prospects in Saskatoon who were expected to make the Menance in Brandt, Krestanovich, and Komarov. Brandt and Komarov had be amazing offensive talents in the VHLM, well Krestanovich was a stud two way player with solid offensive numbers. These 3 players, helped represent the future of the team in the hopes of another few cup years. The question is now, why did he do it. Well he lacked motivation, he was not developing well. He would have made a solid role player but beside that did it really matter. He showed up to camp would practice sometimes, but not always. Some weeks he was a beast, others he was no where to be seen. The agent admitted it was hard for Komarov to decide he was going to retire. However, the agency has a new upcoming talent one who has become motivated to be a star. He works his ass off, so far already much more committed to the cause then Komarov was in his early days. So what has changed, the agent has told VHLM teams, and VHL teams following his new players career that time has opened up. It is a life change, the agents son has completed kemo and now the agent will be moving his life towards background work that can be done from his home. Freeing up time for the agent, to focus on his players future. The next generation, is Vsevolod Askarov a goaltender hailing from the motherland Russia. The 6 foot 6 goaltender weighs in at 220 pounds, and is a future starter and potential hall of famer in which they hope. He comes to the league with his brother Agrapov Askarov a big defender is his own rights. He has cleared the front of Vsevolod crease since they started playing hockey at a young age. Time will tell just how good this new prospect is going to be. If he can really be a future starter in the most demanding position in all of hockey.
-
The top line to find chemistry. Its kinda been a small group that got us here. If Brandt and Brown pop off too we will be set. I was very happy with myself of course Riga they just totally dominated to this point. To avoid pumping my own tired Gryf has been a stud for us. Backbone when we let teams in our zone he shuts the door a few times. Russian machine never breaks or loses focus so well.

Founder's Cup Finals GM 6: Saskatoon Wild vs. Mexico City Kings
Gooningitup replied to VHL Games's topic in S72 Games
Playoff MVP is like nah bro we aint going back to Sasky. Get on my back, then top lines like we following the lead lets just bury them Brown, Brandt, and Frence. -
A new player has joined the gooningitup agency. His homeland still Russia, however for the first time ever since player 2 was gone. It will not be a Komarov, and it will not be a player. Instead enters a 6 foot 6 monster from Russia who looks to be the next big thing from the homeland. Vsevolod Askarov the hulking goalie who looks to cement a new legacy, is eager to prove himself after the agency last player just never really hit the ground running. Kazimir will have a big speech coming on the weekend explaining why he has decided to step away from hockey, till then this will serve a the first announcement out of this agency. The other big news is Askarov will be joined by his twin brother Agapov who is a bit shorter than his brother, and plays defensive style game. They have grown up and before announcing their move to the VHL they were over in their homeland dominating the MHL Vsevolod has a 1.25gaa and 942sv% in 40 games last season, well his brother posted a very respectable 25 points in 50 gp with a sparkling +50 playing on the same team the Krasnaya Armiya Moskva a mouth full of a team name we know. The brothers have asked to play for the same team as they both have no been separated since birth, so a team looking to add one should look to add the other. Both are fine falling in the draft is that is what it is going to take to fulfill their wish. It is unclear what might occur if they do not play for the same team, goons agency tries to keep the drama low ideally just hopes GMs will listen and draft them together. Time will tell if we have a future superstar on our hands, however Askarov has made it clear he is motivated this time around to truly build something he is proud of and hopes he can build a future super star in the making. Will your team take a gamble on these 2? Where will they both land? Only time will tell just what occurs, but whoever does snag the hulking Russian keeper is going to get a gem of a player. Along with an agent eager to prove himself as he builds what he hopes is a star in the making. The agent is excited for a new challenge in handling a goalie prospect, and hopes teams are too.
