Mitch Higgins has stepped down as GM of the Helsinki Titans. After a very successful run including numerous playoff appearances and a Continental Cup victory. His strengths were easily his drafting and his trading of assets. Now with Higgins gone it will usher in a new era lead by Vince Wong who was named Higgins replacement shortly after. Wong has a tough task ahead of him as he tries to rebuild the Titans. Vince Wong formerly a player agent of Ethan Osborne has no general managing experience. But it is believed his connection to players through his agency and his calm and patient demeanor will serve him well in a management role. Vince Wong kicked off the rebuild with his selections in the Season 37 draft. He began his first draft by selecting a goaltender in Kimmo Salo. Salo looks to be a solid prospect with starting goaltender potential written all over him. The most difficult position to replace in the VHL is goaltending so by selecting a high end goalie prospect we can definitely conclude he is headed in the right direction thus far. His second selection was left winger Dexter Morgan who was not on anyone's radar at the beginning of Season 36 but quickly rose up the ranks with his improve play. Morgan will be more of a project for the Titans as they hope he can continue to develop.
