The Landing Spot of House Atreides Moscow??? You're telling me Moscow???? After all that Paul Atreides had suffered in the dusty planet of Arrakis, moving from oasis to oasis with House San Diego and House Houston, after all that, he ends up in the clutches of Baron Spartan of House Moscow, along with his trusty right hand man Duncan Idaho. At the very least he won't be surrounded in the pit of vipers without a friend, but who knows how long the Duke will be forced to play for the amusement of Moscow elite. Rumors have it that the former Baron Vladimir, the nemesis of House Atreides, still controls things from the shadows, but Paul isn't sure how true this is. Certainly time will tell; perhaps he can change things from the inside. The House of Moscow is certainly a shadow of its former glory in the present moment, but with the arrival of two Atreides stalwarts in Paul and Duncan Idaho, things might be looking up for the future. If you needed a leader, now would be the time, and in one fell swoop the Menace picked up two of the most coveted jewels from the Season 77 VHL draft. After the back of competing so recently as last season, falling short to House Warsaw in the European Conference Finals, House Moscow already looks to be turning around on a quick rebuild. Questions do remain about the quality of Moscow's defense moving forward, but with careful development and perhaps a high value draft pick in next season's draft, that could easily be fixed. Not to mention with the large amount of prospects at Moscow's disposal, the possibility of trading up with another rebuilding team for solid depth and defense still remains. For Paul, the next few seasons will really be about finding his footing in the league. While he may hope to perform well, it is unlikely that the Menace will manage much after shipping off the vast majority of their army to wage war for other Houses. That being said, it is the goal of House Atreides to secure the coveted Stolzschweiger trophy for their own, be it with the Duke himself or Idaho. There's a decent change that they can manage it too, as both men will be given ample time to shine on the underdeveloped Moscow side. What to expect for the future? Only time will tell. But having a solid place on a team with his favorite winger will make it very hard for Paul to up and leave any time soon, even if it is in such a place as this. For now, I will leave you with three words: MOSCOW MOSCOW MOSCOW

Paul Atreides, the Bulls Baron Following an unsuccessful alliance with House San Diego for the S75 Founders Cup, Paul Atreides looked elsewhere for victory. Heading to House Houston, the center formed a new alliance, seeking for the second time to ascend to the VHLM throne. With his right hand man Duncan Idaho @OrbitingDeath beside him, the pair joined a star-studded roster, full of promising hockey talent, and they hit the league hard. Paul Atreides is a young, talented center looking to make an immediate impact on the VHL in his rookie season. The draft is today, and here are all the reasons that VHL teams should consider taking him in the draft. 1. Paul led the Prime Minister's Cup winning Houston Bulls in scoring with 106 points, 11 more then the following player. Atreides is already a top performer, and while VHLM performance is no indication of future performance in the VHL, to do such a fantastic job at such a young age is a real feather in the San Merinoan's cap. 2. Paul's hockey IQ is off the charts. The dude is a freaking Bene Gesserit, he can literally predict the future. Imagine how useful that is in a hockey context? You can never dangle him; he dangles you. Magical powers + physical discipline? Yes please! 3. Due to his specific set of skills, Paul is as effective on defense as he is on offense. He knows exactly where you will go before even you do. He finished with a cool +50 on the season, and while his 8 blocked shots might not seem like a lot, that's just because few teams managed to get shots off on him him in the first place. 4. Good luck winning a face off against him. Finishing the season with a staggering face off percentage of 63.62% with over 2300 attempts, only one player had a better percentage with more that a handful of attempts, and that was his teammate and fellow superstar prospect Asher Reinhart. The pair were automatic over the VHLM season, and a big reason that the Bulls were so dominant. 5. He knows how to lose. In a heartbreaking Game 7 defeat, the Houston Bulls were upset by the Mexico City Kings after a wild, back and forth series. Paul knows what it means to fail; and that's a valuable experience for a rookie. He won't come into the league overconfident, he knows he has to earn his spot. This is really the only mark against the young center, his relatively poor performance (by his standards) in the playoffs. He was unable to reach a point per game, and only managed to find the back of the net three times in 16 games. 6. He is a gorgeous man. Really, how else would a VHL franchise expect to sell jerseys, if not with boy wonder over here?

Minnesota Storm Press Conference Questions
Mr_Hatter replied to Matmenzinger's topic in Team Press Conferences
Yup! We drafted you this past season. You'll be drafted by a VHL team this offseason, but unless you go past 250 you'll likely stay down with us in the VHLM another season reach out if you have any other question! -
MOSCOW MOSCOW MOSCOW I've said it before and I'll say it again, I'll always appreciate you giving me a shot to be the number one goalie for Moscow. We took it slow to start, but it paid off big in Season 70. Despite some unfortunate postseason failures in seasons to follow, we were constantly competing (and I believe we made the playoffs in every season that I was a starter?). Couldn't have managed that without your leadership. Sad to see you go, but obviously I knew it had been coming for a little bit now. Much love Vic

2/28-3/7 (I forgot to modify last weeks question dates, my b) Answer 6 questions to claim 2 TPE 1) Well, unfortunately it's the end of the road. What was our downfall against Mexico? 2) How did our performance this season as a team meet your expectations at the start of the season? 3) Did you hit the personal goals you set out to achieve? 4) What is next for your player? Will you be heading up to the VHL or sticking with the VHLM for a while longer? 5) Do you think you have a shot at any awards this season? 6) Who do you think was our MVP this season? 7) What are you gonna do now that the season is done? Offseason plans? -
I think it will be interesting to see how the draft goes. A few different options!
