Grats Chicago!

1- do you have a favorite actor/director that you try to make a point of seeing most of their work? Not really, but the ones that release a hyped film sure make it interesting. 2- offseason sucks when you're not in the playoffs. What can the VHL do to make it better? By having a lottery tournament and offseason drama of course! (it helps to be in other leagues as well) 3- am I going completely mad? That depends, just how 'terrible' is The Terrible Trivium?? 4- stat projections for your player next season? In 72 games, I'd say 12-45-53 points, -18, something like this is par for Rose's career 5- are you active in any other sim leagues? Yeah 3 others, 3 hockey ones in total, but I'm semi-active in those 6- it's Monday and it feels like it should be Thursday. Do you have any advice on how to cope with that situation? Just chalk it up to 'it's been a long year these past two months'

With the draft taking place in the near future, it's time to talk about some of the Season 77 draftees. Most of the league is drooling over the top three players and rightly so; they come from distinguished pedigrees and their potentials are those of superstardom in the future. Paul Atreides, Duncan Idaho and Asher Reinhart aren't going to move from the top three, barring some random event or situation that warrants such a change, but after them are still some very capable players that could provide eventual star power. Taking a closer look at this draft class, there seem to be at least ten VHL-ready players and that's a big deal. Most VHL teams are up against the 40 million dollar cap, so making some cap room for a season 77 draftee on an entry-level contract is a big asset to a franchise looking to stay competitive and secure their talent pool for the future. Looking closer through the lenses, occupying the first two rounds of this draft class, nearly half the players are defensemen, and shockingly, not a single goaltender can be found in the top ranks, let alone in the entire draft. This clearly isn't the draft to be looking to bolster goaltending depth, but it is the draft to consider depth at all skater positions. The top three are elite-level players, but that doesn't dismiss the rest of the class. Asher Reinhart's sibling, defenseman Reylynn Reinhart is also close behind, ranked sixth in tpe. Many other familiar user agencies reappear with their next representatives and most of them come from equally-respected members. Going briefly through the first round, snipers like Brendan Telker and That Dude will be waiting for names to be called soon after the top three, but a giant, well-rounded hitting machine Druss Deathwalker sits alongside those players with his unique skillset, setting him apart from the others. Defensemen Zeedayno Chara and Rolf Fizzlebeef Jr. are nearly carbon-copies of each other, but there's a defenseman in the same skill potential as them, Aurelien Moreau, with his unique defensive-minded playstyle, allowing him to lay the hits and focus on defense. Further into the first round, we find gems like snipers Kyle Glass, Brussels Sprout and Miles Johnson, as well as offensive defensemen Hadrian, Jan Hlozek and Nixon Caldwell. This grouping of players complete the first round talent and these players could go in any order to any team so far. Most of these players would be VHL-ready by season 78 so their development curves are crucial to success throughout next season going forward. Looking deeper into the looking glass, the Season 78 draft class is taking shape. Finally making his long-awaited and anticipated debut with the Miami Marauders, Nils Tallinder is the top-ranked forward, but very close behind is centerman The Seabasstard. The top ranked player, and defenseman, is Hard Markinson, who's already begun to make his presence felt with his hard-hitting, offensive style of hockey. It will be difficult to dislodge him from the top spot, as by draft time next season, his development should be complete and he will be a major force to be reckoned with. Ranked top-5, you'll finally find a goaltender, and a giant one at that. Hailing from Holland, Aike van Giersbergen is the first top goaltending prospect since Sirkants Klamasteris and Kunibuni Unguri. Another offensive minded defenseman to take serious note of is smooth skating Finn Sven Reikkinen, who has also shown alot of promise. Other players that show some promise are forwards Henri Le Massif and Jlloyoid Blloyoiderson, and defensemen Drakon Zabastovka, David Tavau (who will most likely end up on HC Davos) and Arvid Johansson. This concludes the final scouting report before the mock draft release. Thanks for taking the time folks and have a great day!

Congrats ricer on a fantastic career!

Review time! Classic and clean Jubo style. Very pale and textured background is a nice touch and offsets the player in the foreground excellently. The jersey color and logo swap are sick in this graphic, and a nicely placed light effect on the player's shoulder definitely adds on the feeling that since this is a prospect advertisement, the Titans are hopeful this prospect will shine. 9.3/10

Review time! Big sad for Prague, that was a tough game. I think it's the first time I see a purple colored jersey for the Phantoms, so that's a very nice touch, especially against the black-and-white background. I also like the idea of newspaper font showing the classic header, sub-header and caption-type article feel within the graphic. Very clean and simple 8/10

S76 Fredrik Elmebeck Memorial Trophy Nominations
mattyIceman replied to Victor's topic in League Voting
I second this However!!!.... Only if he does more podcast appearances... gotta hear more of those starring him -
1- well, we fell short. What are your offseason plans to help push London into the playoffs? I'm banking tpe for regression next season, not sure which direction to go in. Maybe pass more since I'm a defenseman. 2- do you have a team you're rooting for now that our season is done? If it's not London United, I'm rooting for no one. 3- what's the last movie you watched, and how would you rate it out of 5 stars? I'm not a big movie guy, so I gotta think back... I think it was Don't Mess With the Zohan, watched it with the kids a few weeks ago.. gotta love silly humor now and then! 4- if you were going to start a side business, what kind of shop/service would you have? Probably start up a Youtube channel dedicated to my rock music lol. 5- the United are putting on a charity event. What kind of event would you want to participate in? Definitely a golf tournament. Golf is big in England and could raise decent funds for a good cause! 6- Evaluate your player's performance this season. Highs and lows, or just a quick rating of production based on expectations. I took alot of penalties, low shooting percentage shots, I'm a minus player my whole career. I dont know how to change that. Maybe a 4/10?

Review time! Meme player? This gfx sure gives that vibe lol. Nice touch with the reading glasses there! Neat text effect, that border effect gives it an aggressive and intense look. Those blotchy things in the green area give the graphic an incredible hulk vibe with some poison-ish effect. I like how out of left field this looks. 8/10

Review time! Kinda cool looking graphic here, black and white effect looking alright. Cool text effect, although maybe more wittier text other than just the word Sad could have been cooler. I like that lined layer effect at the forefront. The players face looks parted on or something, looks odd to me. 7/10

A late season London United prospect report

Excellent work friend! -
1) What does your normal day to day look like? Work, home, kids when I have them. Weekends I sleep in obviously. These days I'm spending alot of time cleaning my apartment. 2) Music talk - what's your genre of choice? Metal, rock, progressive, trance techno genres, instrumental, love video game soundtracks. 3) Some teams have a post game tradition of handing out an item to the "player of the game". It could be a hard hat, a coat, whatever. What should London have? Probably a pint.. I'd say a trophy since those are hard to come by for us... 4) it's almost lunch time. What's your lunch today I'll probably eat out on the road while I'm working, so maybe a wrap or sub of some sort. Maybe some shish taouk Lebanese food, that's so damn good. 5) do you have an NHL comparable for your player? Aaron Ekblad, idk why I modeled after him he's average like Rose 6) Are you going to buy my debut novel whenever it comes out? If yes, thank you. If not, how dare you? Ooo what's it about?!?!

Good luck everyone! Not an application

Review time! Love the humor of the graphic! Fonts are awesome and the overall graphic is well proportioned. Not sure who's who in that pic, but I'm assuming Krice is on the wakeboard? So why is Tina sinking?? My reasoning is Krice has the cup on his wakeboard haha. Should get Tina out before the shark gets there though.. no real image manipulation, but it kinda looks like a funny postcard to send to your parents. 7.5/10

What, you don't have a beach blazer?
mattyIceman replied to Mongoose87's topic in Archived Graphics/Videos
Review time! That beach looks so relaxing right now, but onto some criticism. Kosmo looks dressed appropriately for the beach actually, although his cutout doesn't do the graphic justice. No effects or manipulation of any kind, but I do like that font and tagline! 4/10, not good overall That beach tho -
James Rose has stayed put in London since being picked up in the season 73 expansion draft, but he has vacationed elsewhere. He has his own line of jewelry and since the endorsement, his vacation destinations (besides the offseason Pro-Am tournaments) have been pretty low-key. He doesn't talk much about his travels or the places he's been, he's more of a go-with-the-flow kind of guy. MattyIce however, has been quite busy and involved in scouting, serving as an agent, managing as an assistant in Houston and now London, and will be on the hunt soon for his next player to represent in the VHL. Although he's been quite involved and busy, unlike Rose (the player he represents), he can do his job remotely in parallel to working on site. He has seen many places and perhaps now is the time where they divulge such information. "Not gonna lie, we do hang out in the offseason together" said MattyIce in a recent interview. "From the moment the season ends for London, we begin planning a vacation together. It involves the Pro-Am and afterwards, our go-to spot for the past two seasons has been the Cayman Islands. For Rose, coming from Canada where it snows and playing in London where it rains, the Caribbean destination is a welcome spot for him to just unwind and enjoy the downtime." Local London sports media caught up with Rose to ask him about it: "Oh yeah, that's our spot! They have right-hand drive cars like here in London which is pretty cool, and the food is pretty great too. I just get to relax for a while before training camp starts so I can focus on myself for a bit. Last season, a few members of my family and my buddy from the SHL Sonata Diamante came down too and we all had a great time. We just keep it real and simple, we also manage our bank accounts here so we can secure our future, so it's been pretty great vacationing here. MattyIce found a great resort that's close to the beach and George Town, so we get to see most of what the Grand Cayman Island has to offer." When asked about other spots they've been or planning to go to, they remained pretty tight-lipped. "All I'm going to say is I do plan of going home at some point" said Rose, "I'm from Montreal like MattyIce and it's my home base. I have ties there and my folks are still busy with life over there. I just love the Cayman Islands so much, might make a real estate investment at some point, maybe live there as well in the future." MattyIce chimed in afterwards: "Yeah, I've been around, I loved Amsterdam too. Greece was pretty cool as well, the Amalfi Coast in Italy is on my list of future spots to visit among many others. The suckiest places weather-wise is where I seem to find some attractive talent, don't go to Siberia, haha. Although we go to the Cayman Islands together, there's other places I want to visit, I haven't had much time to visit South America, only been to Rio de Janeiro. Chile is on the list for sure" 536

I'm interested more in Hornet's inner algorithms and learning processes. It seems to have learned what nothing is, so that's quite an accomplishment

WOW. Um, thank you very much for the shill and you're welcome for the content. Never had this much praise before... I'm just serving the league
