  1. Since these questions didn't get answered last week feel free to just answer the questions above for this weeks press conference!
  2. It's been a long known fact that the Halifax team was just a cover for a "secret" demon-worshiping cult. Ever since the creation of Halifax in season 62, it's been clear dark magic was afoot. I mean, what other expansion team leads the league in their first season. What makes things even worse is their magic wasn't powerful enough for the playoffs. Halifax ended up being swept in the finals. If you are going to worship demons and devils you might as well worship good ones. But that's beyond the point. Today I'm writing because the worse imaginable thing has happened. The magic that has been solely contained in Halifax is starting to spread. Experts have seen spiked levels in cultism, demon-worship, and black magic across the VHLM. At first, no one was sure at what the cause was. The Halifax cult has been pretty static for the past 7 seasons. Most were convinced what happened in Halifax stayed in Halifax, but it seems that only applies to Halifax's expansion partner the Las Vegas Aces. After running the numbers, analyzing the situation, and interviewing the parties involved, I think I've found the source of the leak. Most probably saw this coming, but I'm confirming it here today. Berocka has joined the Halifax cult and brought their practices to the Mississauga Hounds. It looks like after only spending 9 days in Halifax, Tomothy Berocka succumbed to the dark magic. Many thought Berocka might actually put an end to the demon-worship in Halifax. It looked like Berocka was ready to stop the cults after having a 3-season stent as the Mississauga Hounds assistant general manager. Everyone knows the Hounds have one of the friendliest and welcoming management teams in the VHLM. Their former general manager, Jerry Garcia, taught the team peace and love. I figured Berocka would pick up on the peace and love. Sadly, Garcia's teachings didn't seem to be enough to stop Berocka from being corrupted by the powers in Halifax. Which leads me to believe this catastrophe might actually be Garcia's fault. Garcia led Berocka to believe that Halifax could be stopped. Berocka believed that he couldn't be swayed by the powers-that-be. Garcia has doomed the VHLM. It seems that the VHLMs days are numbered at this point. Soon every VLHM team will be corrupted and at that point, who knows what the league will look like. Why even play when every team can just make a few blood sacrifices to win. In this dark future, the player count will drop drastically from teams sacrificing players for cups. General managers will have to be replaced on a weekly basis due to insanity caused by eldritch gods. Chaos in it's purest form. All thanks to a silly Australian who had a 9-day run as Halifax's general manager. 9 days. That's all Berocka had to survive and he couldn't even handle it. Because of his negligence, the VHLM, and maybe even the VHL, are doomed. DOOMED I SAY! To those left in the league, I beg you to join together and put a stop to this madness. Only you can stop the cult in Halifax Mississauga. @Berocka
  3. I'll apply
  4. Congrats @Berocka. There isn't a more worthy person out there to head up the Hounds.
  5. Fuck you I do what I want.

The Mexico City Kings are the only team in a Spanish speaking country! We don't have too many players so it will be easy for you to get points and claim the top spots on our roster! We'd love to have you on the squad and be a part of the Cartel! If you want to join the Kings just quote this and say "Acepto". Glad to have you on the forums. Let me know if you need anything in the meantime - Cxsquared

  11. There's talks of a rebuild in Mexico City. The Kings recently came off a stellar year, finishing 3rd overall in the VHLM. Mexico City went all in with some big trades last season and it paid off with one of the best playoffs runs in Kings history. After going all in last season, it seems they are facing some struggles at the start of season 70. The King's assistant general manager, Brody Claymore, had some words for us when we asked him about the potential rebuild. This kind of thing happens in the VHLM. Teams are great one season, then need to retool the next. That isn't to say we are for sure rebuilding. It's still early in the season, and we still have a few veterans around. It's all going to depend on how the market looks this season. If we can pick up enough players on waivers and our veterans to help them grow quickly, then we still stand a chance to make the playoffs. I'd love to see that but ultimately it's about the players. If we, as management, don't think we'll be able to field a competitive roster we'll still try and give our major players the chance to shine in the VHLM.

  13. Vancouver is easily going to end up with the best goaltending combo here in a season or two.

  15. FISTED ANALLY BY A CIRCUS MONKEY Sasakamoose should have been on the All Rookie team.
  16. I agree both contracts and the store seem kinda useless accept for deprecation fighters. Not sure what the solution to this problem is, but it does seem like a problem.
  17. I know it's probably not that easy, but is there any way to get the Hounds logo without the text on the Established t-shirt?
  18. More like Da oh I have a team?
  19. In season 69, Riga led the European conference in points and managed to make it to the Continental Cup finals. With such an impressive performance. Many are wondering if Riga can pull it off again and make it back to the Continental Cup finals. It seems like Riga isn't going all-in just yet, but they've made some big moves in the off-season. Riga has also pulled up a promising VHLM player. Today I'm going to take a look at the new players arriving in Riga for season 70. We'll see who is going to make the biggest impact and who will hopefully make an impact in the long term. Aston Martin | @Sullvino | C | 556 TPE Aston Martin came to Riga through a trade with Helsinki. Martin is a quick skating forward. It seems that Martin will probably become a depth center for Riga and will hopefully stay with Riga for a good number of seasons. They don't seem to be growing, but hopefully they can continue to put up decent numbers these season and more seasons to come. ACL TEAR | @Quik | RW | 597 TPE TEAR comes to Riga from Vancouver. Another player who doesn't seem to be growing but has potential to shore up forward depth for at least a season or two. ACL TEAR seems to be more defensively minded which will prove useful for the Riga penalty kill. If a miracle happens we might even see some growth out of ACL TEAR, but at this point it's highly unlikely to happen. One can hope though. Finn Davison | @Poptart | G | 1196 TPE Probably the most interesting player acquired through a trade this off-season and easily the biggest star coming to Riga. Finn comes to Riga from Moscow after having a decent season with a 0.919 sv%. Davison currently has a contract of 5 million this season which matches Riga's current goaltender Kallis Kriketers. Riga doesn't have the cap space for two goalies of this capability so it's going to be a battle to see who wins the starting spot. This situation is made even more interesting considering Kriketers just came off an amazing season with Riga. It's clear both goalies won't last long in Riga but it's currently unclear who will ultimately stay. Patrik Tallinder | @Patrik Tallinder | LW | 417 TPE The lone rookie on the list. Last season Tallinder helped lead the Mississauga Hounds to the VHLM finals and put up a massive 127 points in the regular season. This was actually Tallinder's second season with the Hounds. In their first season, Tallinder played with current Riga defenseman Guy Sasakamoose. Hopefully we'll see the two rekindle some of their previous teamwork. To me, Tallinder has the biggest chance at becoming the next Riga star. I'd put my money on Patrik Tallinder picking up a Christian Stolzschweiger Trophy for rookie of the season. Ultimately the season 70 Riga team won't be quite as strong as season 69 considering they lost both Elias Dahlberg and Rauno Palo. While the team lacks star power, they have plenty of young prospects who could lead the team in the future.
  20. 1. Riga picking up another star goalie is really interesting considering we still have Kricket. 3. I'm real surprised Kevin Low hasn't extended with the American's. 4. Riga keeping Hackett seems super important for them. I don't Riga stands a chance without him. 5. New Yorks roster is looking really strong as long as their goal tending can hold. 6. I mean if it's "allegedly", I'm always going to side with Hackett. It probably didn't happen. 7. A line brawl should be the tie breaker after OT instead of a shootout.
  21. Where are you getting the saves number from? In the index I can't find a saves number and taking shots against minus goals against gives me a different number than you.
  22. I'm drunk and read the rules wrong. My saves are messed up.
  23. You're right. I had my shutouts and SV% mixed up. Also 2 teams had a player with 0 points which is probably another low number reason.
