Vinny Detroit was currently just drafted by the Hounds of the VHLM. I didn’t even know the draft was happening today and woke up to a message from Zetterberg saying I was drafted, nice. Fell pretty far into the second round even though I’m the top earner of the draft class, guess that’s what happens when you’re a meme player doesn’t it? Still went higher than Kelsier but. Hounds look like we got a pretty good team and can maybe be on top with absolutely no research into the league at all. Maybe can win my first ship with a player since Latrell was a bust on that front. Also want to shoutout Victor for failing at trivia this season, time to get someone new in there so we get stuff posted on time. Says he’s been trying to pass it on to someone else but here we are having to write this. Post in the job thread fuck sakes

1. I believe I signed up in S70 but was drafted in S72 2. My favourite seasons were the ones where we made deep playoff runs. Unfortunately made it to the finals a couple times but never got that cup win 3. Only won a couple victory cups and defensive defensemen trophy, Jake Wylde. 4. I was in the VHL straight out of the draft by creating at the deadline and max earning 5. Some interesting names for sure, Hard Markinson is pretty cool. 6. Have been AGM but probably not in my future for any more responsibility than that

Just a few thoughts since I have to do one of these to max earn thanks to no trivia (you're slacking victor) - Why do I feel the need to max earn on a new player? I was perfectly fine just earning what I wanted to, 8-10 a week with Latrell for the past 4 seasons but new player and all of a sudden I have to earn every tpe available, fucking hell - It's so difficult to podcast alone. Tried recording a solo podcast the other day and got 3 minutes in and was out of stuff to talk about, kudos to the guys that do it alone and do it successfully. Maybe I need to jot down some notes before hand so I know which direction I'm going in - Going off last thing, since I'm not doing podcasts I have to do graphics which I just don't have any creative juice for, not sure how long I'll be able to go with Detroit without getting bored. Feel like I need to sit down for a few hours and bust out 10-20 graphics so I'm good for months - Last but not least lol @ my name still being purple from vsn

Vinny Detroit wasn't born into a hockey family. Raised in Texas, hockey wasn't exactly the sport that parents wanted to get themselves into, and with a family name like Detroit, Vinny was already teased enough by the kids at school. However something kept his interest with hockey and after pestering his parents year after year they finally put him into the sport. Now let's say that Vinny wasn't exactly the best player when he first got on the ice, hell, he's not the best player out there to this day. But when he first started kids continued the teasing about how bad he was. Something he wasn't bad at was being the biggest, strongest and meanest player on the ice at all times and that's when Vinny found his calling. Once put into contact hockey, it was game over for the rest of the kids. He made it his goal to crush anyone and everyone that dared to get in his way. Nah, he wasn't putting up points, he wasn't even making great plays defensively, but causing the opposition to be scared to carry the puck every time he was on the ice was enough for coaches to keep playing him. Vinny's game still hasn't progressed much past his hard hitting play style, and who knows if it ever will. But coming in at 6'8, 250 pounds, he's going to be a monster out there and team-mates will love having that presence on the ice. To continue his career he's gonna have to add a bit more to his game, he's not even a huge fighter if he can help it, but isn't afraid to drop the gloves if he has to. His game is literally making sure that every player in his sight gets hit. He's already broken records for hits in every league he's played in, and he doesn't plan to stop doing that. The big question is going to be if this type of play style has a place in the VHL, we've all seen the way the league has gone with softer high scoring players, everyone wants to be the same thing so Vinny will bring a fresh face to the league which hopefully can cause a bit of change. If not, he's excited at the opportunity to potentially play in the new VHL Europe league if worse comes to worse. Right now his plan is to jump right into the VHL after his draft but that depends on a lot. All we have to say is when the big truck Vinny Detroit is on the ice, keep your head up kids.
