Pretty fair point here, I definitely think our trades had a fair share in handcuffing WAR to their current situation. For some context on the trades though, the first one was made with the expectation that WAR could just get a goalie at 13. However multiple teams ended up trading up after our trade, so WAR was left without a goalie in a deep goalie class. That was probably the biggest factor in that trade, as I had wanted to beat out any goalie-hungry teams to get myself at 5 and the thought was that someone would be available at 13. Second trade wasn't something I was open to initially, as I had wanted Thor and Leif to play together in Moscow as a career duo. But with WAR deciding to go all in this off-season and WAR also holding an equivalent overall selection to where his player was taken, we ended up making the trade. It does help us diversify our team age a little bit, but we're definitely feeling the loss of Thor this season with a lower TPA winger replacing him when we likely could have been a bit more competitive otherwise. I don't think I go in asking for unfair values for trades or try to pull the wool over anyone's eyes. My main goal in trades is to acquire assets that accomplish my goals. Secondary goal is to not screw over a fellow GM and ruin a "professional" relationship so to speak. I'd like to not have the reputation of scamming GMs or being a predatory GM either. Hopefully in my 13-ish seasons of GM'ing, I've been meeting those goals. Good write up though, covered a lot of accurate points without it being unfairly harsh to anyone.

1. It's not bad to be surprised, but everyone has been putting in the effort to get to this point. 2. I'd be disappointed if we fall out of a playoff spot. I think at worst we should be making the wild card. 3. My motivation to earn doesn't really change regardless of my performance or team success, but I can understand how it affects others. However if you're not earning when you're losing, you're not going to earn the right to win. 4. It's certainly a valid option. The team has cap space and the assets to do something. There's not much need for our draft picks at this point. 5. Really the entire EU outside Davos. Everyone has a strong roster and wants to make the playoffs. It's a tough fight. 6. It's generally been this way for a long time. There's a lot of parity in the EU and most teams have been able to lead the conference at some point in the last 10 seasons.

I will say I've asked you this, but mainly because my worry was that you were pulling the age-old GM burnout tactic of "kamikaze a team by going all in with all assets and then step down before the rebuild if it fails." This 100% would not have been an ask had there not been a history of GMs doing this. Even recently in the M, we've had some GMs go all in knowing they would quit at the conclusion of a season. Also if you're just straight up getting harassed that isn't like....someone trying to actually help you with constructive criticism, report it. Mods are supposed to handle situations like this, regardless of who the member is - staff member or not. If they decide not to action on valid reports, then that's a moderation issue that would definitely get addressed. Anyways you know my thoughts for the rest of it. We've chatted before.

Syko Debuts Center Stage in Moscow After a wildly successful European tour with the Stockholm Vikings, Olober Syko has officially begun his rookie journey in the main Victory Hockey League with the Moscow Menace team that selected him 5th overall in the S91 VHL Entry Draft. The frontman debuted on Wednesday night with his first game against rival Malmo, winning a thrilling game 5-4 in a shootout. While a high scoring game is not what the former performer and entertainer might have envisioned, he can't help but be satisfied with walking away with his first career win. After the match, Syko had the following to say: "Yeah it's definitely nice to get a first win here in the big leagues. Wish we could have limited a few more goals against and been a bit better defensively, but that's the way it goes. We get a win and we move on to the next one. Just glad to win in my debut and get the jitters out." Syko lost his second game against fellow playoff hopeful Helsinki, but bounced back for Thursday's double-header with wins against EU Conference competitors Riga and Davos. Moving forward, Syko will look to continue his development alongside fellow rookie, American Joseph Reed. The duo will look to play at a high level and push Moscow to a playoff run despite the team featuring multiple rookies this season. Expectations are high, and goalie Syko will be sure to answer the call to perform. From a goals perspective (and not the goal-scoring kind), Syko will look to remain competitive both in the EU playoff race but also in the VHL rookie race. Goalies have long been favored in the league as rookie favorites given that equipment strongly favors goalies, and last season rookie sensation @Steve and Axle Gunner took home the accolades, with fellow Menace @nerji Jeff Lewis winning the season before. Completing the trifecta would be the least of Syko's hopes, especially as he has the hopes of the Moscow organization and his teammates on his shoulders. Following such accomplished rookies has set the bar high, and Syko is sure to meet the mark. Another goal Syko has is to finish the season in the top five of goalie stat categories. Many rookies in the past have met this mark, especially recent future HOF favorites @aimkin Jesse Teno and @kirbithan Lachlan Summers. The duo have set the bar high for young goalies, even in the conversation of top VHL goalies of all time. Syko is sure to attempt to meet their level of play, and will hope to have a career as successful as theirs.

Hello, As you've all probably seen here, Halifax 21st GM @ShawnGlade was punished for using AI to complete tasks. @Gustav and I have discussed the situation with the Head of PT and Moderators and agree that our M GMs are held to a higher standard due to their roles in the community and the impressions they make on the newest users to our community. For this reason, we are removing Shawn's VHLM GM pay of 4 TPE for the remainder of S92. He is still able to cap out at 12 if he chooses, but he simply won't be allowed to claim his VHLM GM pay for this season. Well it's certainly been one of the offseasons of all time. Lot of fun stuff happened around Christmas time with the league showing up in force to raise money for various charities. The extra time in the offseason also gave our young team a lot of time to develop a bit more and get ready to try and make a splash in the EU this season. While we lost some talented players, we were able to lean on our strong prospect pool and future asset pool to replenish our stocks and come out strong. First Alternate - Axle Gunner - @Steve I typically don't give my AGM's player a leadership role and a letter, but it's difficult not to do so for someone as involved and vocal as Steve and Gunner. There's no question that this team is being built with Gunner as one of its key focal points, and he has a good share of input already behind the scenes as the AGM. He'll be expected to take a significant step forward to becoming one of the top players in the VHL this season. I hope that his leadership and leading by example mentality translates to our team succeeding on the ice as well as off the ice! Second Alternate - Obuz Schneider Canet du Bocage - @Grape OSCB is back for his sophomore season and also receives the A for a second time. He's still the de facto leader on our blue line, this time one of the more veteran faces in the room with two rookies in Leif Reingaard and Celise Pereira joining the team. Nils Andersson has also swapped positions from winger to defense, so there'll be some responsibility for OSCB to help facilitate a lot of adjustment in the defense corps. We'll be hoping that the Frenchman can take a big step forward in his sophomore year and help shore up our defense while driving offense from the back end. Captain - Left Alone - @okochastar The most veteran member of the team, and one who has shown a lot of loyalty to the organization as well by sticking it out through the rebuild, Left Alone has been selected as the captain for S92! He's proven to be one of our best players on the ice and passed up on the opportunity to play for a contender in the past to help our young players in their development phases. This season, expectations are sky high for our star duo of Alone and Gunner to see if they can drive Moscow's offense and the team into the playoffs. Congrats to all named to the leadership team! Shoot I did the wrong week just now. REDO time. 1. A tesla circa 2013? Really good but everyone just doesn't know it yet! 2. Of course, I think it shows that our development is going well and that we're in a good spot in our rebuild. 3. I'm not much of an ideas person really. Not the most creative guy, but fairly rational/logical to solve problems as needed. 4. I don't know if I'd be a fan really, but I've enjoyed Naruto and One Piece. Haven't watched much else really. 5. Menaces to society. That's all. Bearded king, I've got no fucking clue. 6. 11. I don't know how anyone tolerates me! 7. I think Axle Gunner could have a top 10 forward season with the work he's been putting in. Maybe OSCB as a defenseman as well? Lot of potential all around the roster.

1. Realistically I'd really hope we can make a playoff push this season. 4 forwards and 3 defensemen are over 600 TPE with a goalie around 550 TPA for opening day. But if not, we know we just need to keep grinding. 2. Not really, I think I'm still young in my career and have had some success here and there which is keeping me going. Maybe I'll regret it if I suck in the VHL. 3. I've kicked off the new year with a new apartment so there's that. Might be a lot of lifestyle adjustments in the process as well which I'm totally open to! 4. Podcasting? Job pay??? I think you could be really good at podcasts and you'd be great in any league job if you were up to it. 5. Personally I like VHL.com articles since I can do a thoughts dump each week in as many or little words as I please. I never write under 150 so its the easiest task to me. 6. I don't do resolutions. Improvement is daily, resolutions are meant to be broken. Everyone should try to be a little better every day.

You genuinely are perfect for Moscow. 5 championship losses in fantasy to ours in the VHL. Sorry for your tuff fantasy loss though. Appreciate the kind words about the asset management. Means a lot coming from a storied GM!
