1. We've made some big trades recently, who do you think's going to make the biggest impact for us? I am really excited to see Viktor Mjers in a Kings jersey. He's gonna be a huge presence on the blue line for us. 2. What do you think is going to be your best stat this season? Goals baby! Jeffrey Pines can hit your tape from anywhere on the ice and we're trying to form a deadly partnership this season. 3. We've had a lot of Kings getting jobs recently, what would your ideal VHL job be? I'm hoping to one day become a VHL GM! 4. What VHLM team do you think is just going to slip into the playoffs? It's really hard to call, everything is so close and a couple wins in a row can see everything turned upside down. 5. Who's the most underrated player on the Kings? Arthur Dayne. Maybe not right now since he's leading the team in points, but he definitely deserves to be up there. 6. Have you picked up any new hobbies or dove deeper into one during this isolation period. I have gotten in to sim racing! It's a great way to block everything out and just focus on one thing and clear the mind. @InstantRockstar@rory@Infernal

ESPN.mx -- It's been a remarkable start to the season in Mexico City when you consider the results of last season. A last place finish with a mere 12 wins had fans of the Kings wondering if their players were even good enough to play in the VHLM. Well, the fans have their answers and it seems that the rebuild in Mexico is paying off; with their team sitting in a playoff spot and keeping right on pace with the top teams in the league, things are starting to look up for the Mexico City Kings. One player that we would like to focus on is the Captain of the team Chris Hylands. Mexico City selected Hylands with the 1st overall selection in the VHLM dispersal draft, to the somewhat surprise of some others, and it may be working against the Kings. Sitting at 14 points through 14 games, Hylands is off to a slower start than the Kings would have hoped. In fact, if you look at players taken after him, you will find everyone up until the 11th selection currently has more points than the #1 choice. Comparing his production to his previous season you can see clear improvement, however the Kings have to be asking of more from their top choice and current Captain.

1. The Kings are currently tied for 3rd, how do you think the season's going so far? So far so good! 2 losses out of 8 is not bad at all. We also have the best goal differential so I think things are looking very good. 2. How have your stats been? Are you doing as well as you wanted this season? So far I'm doing just a little bit worse than I would like but I think some extra time in the gym will help me out a lot. 3. Who do you think is going to be the star player for the Kings this season? I'm gonna go ahead and say Zamboni has the potential to absolutely steal the season for us. Dude is a stud. 4. Who do you think is going to be the King's biggest rival this year? Saskatoon is gonna be a pretty big rival, we're both all in for the cup this season. 5. Tag a teammate and what random skill they bring to the team? @rory is great at building snowmen even in this Mexico City heat. I have no idea how he does it. 6. How has your Memorial day weekend been? It's been hot as hell, so I've had a few drinks and hung outside by the pool. I'd say that's pretty good.

1. Welcome to the kings (or welcome back for some of you). We are throwing a pitch in party, what are you bringing? I'm so happy to be back! I'm bringing enough burritos to fill an olympic sized swimming pool 2. For those of you who were drafted, are you surprised at your draft position. For those not drafted how do you feel about Chris Hylands going first overall? I have to admit, I was a little surprised being drafted 1st overall but deep down I knew @Motzaburger would put his faith in me. 3. What is your main goal this season? I want to be above point per game pace this season. 4. What do you think the Kings chances are this season? Things are looking up for the Kings, and last season is but a distant memory now! 5. The kings are looking for a new mascot, what do you think it should be? I think it should be a big taco. 6. Who are you picking as your training partner on the team this year? Are you kidding me? Of course Kamenov and I will be in the gym together for the whole year!

Just gonna go ahead and make both picks at once F - Mikko Aaltonen D - Micheal Gary Scott @rory

Malmo -- Training camp for the Nighthawks commenced today and would you look at that, Chris Hylands was actually spotted in a gym for the first time this off-season. After being unfortunately spotted by a fan with a sharp eye on an embarrassing drunken, late night burrito run, Chris seems like he is finally getting around to putting in the hours expected of a highly sought after prospect. Showing up with his good friend Victor Alexei Kamenov, the two were in high spirits, laughing and joking, as they greeted fans that were eager to see the new draft picks in Malmo gear for the first time. Both players showed no signs of jet lag after a long flight from Mexico City and it was clear to see why General Manager Frostbeard has chosen to put his faith in these two youngsters. "I'm really happy to be here in Malmo. The city is great, the fans are awesome, and the entire team is top class from the executives down to the floor cleaners. Hearing my name get called by Frostbeard was one of the best moments of my life. Being able to be here with one of my best friends in Kamenov is just icing on the cake. I couldn't be happier right now". Chris really seems eager to prove Frostbeard was right to choose him, and, while he may have questionable off-season habits, clearly he is a talented hockey player on the right path to the top.

1. Who do you think is going to get drafted 1st overall in the VHLM and you do you think is going to go first overall in the VHL? Well I can tell you it isn't going to be me that's for sure! Probably Brandt if I were to guess. 2. What's the best part of the season for you? Playoffs for sure. Everybody's competitive edge gets brought out and everybody loves those win or go home games. 3. Do you have any summer/off-season sports you play to stay in shape? So far I haven't even looked at the gym. I should probably get on that. 4. How do you think the Kings will do next season? I think they're gonna be one of the top teams next season for sure. Either 1st or 2nd place I would imagine. 5. If each player got an individual goal song what would yours be? Boom Boom Boom Boom!! by Vengaboys 6. If/when you win a cup, how will you celebrate? I will be putting myself in to a burrito coma that will last for months on end.

I'll apply! Looking to get further involved with the league.
