Philadelphia Reapers Press Conference
KaleebtheMighty replied to BladeMaiden's topic in Team Press Conferences
1). I think Ottawa could pull it off 2). Yeah they were awesome!! 4). Very much so. I’ve got 3 draft to look forward to so it will be very interesting to see where I end up! 5). Id like to break the 100 mark if I can. 7). For whatever reason I’ve always liked the Red Deer Rebels, no affiliation or whatsoever. That was just the team I always went to in Be a Pro mode. 8). Datsyuk flip. It’s just so clean and pretty when it’s done. -
It is decided then

Great read! I love these kind of stories that put your player out in the world. It was enjoyable to dive into and see what your player gets into. And I think the introduction of multiple characters give the story more sustenance rather than just following one character. I think though that some of your sentences could be shortened; a few of them were rather lengthy. But overall a good read, great job! Score: 8.5/10

This is simple and clean! I really like the font choice along with the lines used behind the player. The cutout of the player is also well done! I will say though there is a lot of empty space in this graphic, which I think can be improved upon on your next graphic. And I’d love to see you shoot for coloring the jersey with the VHLM teams colors next time. But great work regardless! Score: 8/10

I’d like to apply as well!

PRESS CONFERENCE - Week of October 31st, 2021 (Just answer at least 6 of the questions for 2 TPE) 1). Now that we are eliminated from playoff contention, what are some things you are looking forward to in the off-season? 2). Do you have any Halloween traditions or favorite activities? 3). For those of you moving up to the VHL next season, are you excited to be joining the team that drafted you so long ago? 4). Do you participate in fantasy football or fantasy hockey? How are you doing? 5). Where was your favorite place to play in the VHLE? 6). Cold weather or warm weather? 7). Do you have a favorite holiday? 8). Hypothetical: would you want to live in an area that deals with Tornadoes for 3 months of the year or an area that deals with Hurricanes for 3 months of the year? You have to chose one of these. 9). How did you join the VHL? What prompted you to join? -

PRESS CONFERENCE - Week of October 24th, 2021 (Just answer at least 6 of the questions for 2 TPE) 1). We aren’t doing so well in the standings. Do you see anything that could be changed to help us? 2). With the first ever VHLE season wrapping up, who has stood out to you on this team in both the locker room and on the ice? 3). Do you have a dream car? Tell us about it! 4). Do you have a favorite pen or writing utensil? (I love the Pilot G-2 07 pens, use them all the time) 5). Were there any surprises in the VHLE that you weren’t expecting to happen? 6). Are you a movie person or a book person? 7). What is your favorite thing to do on your birthday? 8). Hypothetical: you can choose to have 1 of these superpowers, but there’s a condition with each. You can either be invisible, but have to scream whenever you want to be invisible (like continuously, if you stop screaming you become visible). Or you can be super fast, but have to summersault everywhere (that’s the only way you can move super fast). 9). How’s your NHL team doing so far? -
Philadelphia Reapers Press Conference
KaleebtheMighty replied to BladeMaiden's topic in Team Press Conferences
2). The Reapers have always been a fantastic organization, I love being a part of it! 4). I for sure would! I brought them in for my first GM season, and then last season I was preparing to do it again but life got the better of me 5). Right now we just need to commit to earning TPE and doing our best. Where we end up will be determined by that. 7). No lol I would be surprised if they made it to the playoffs. 8). I think I’d like to go see Vegas. I never got a chance to go watch a game while I lived there. 9). I honestly don’t think he will get there. I think he will pass 800 but ultimately come up short. -
Perry Laperriere has entered the VHLM! After playing hockey across Europe for a number of years, he finally has decided to make the transition to the VHLM. Multiple teams reached out, but the young center from Lyon ultimately signed with the Philadelphia Reapers. He hasn’t notched a point yet after playing in a few games, although his presence in the locker room and on the ice has been noted by many. But who is he? And why hasn’t anyone heard of him before recently? Well, the Frenchman doesn’t have much tape showing up his playing style. Actually, there’s hardly any hockey clips exist that cover Laperriere. But he’s made a name for himself with his skill shots and tricks on Instagram and Tiktok. Often going above and beyond with more and more ridiculous feats, he caught the attention of multiple GMs in the VHLM when he announced he was joining the league. What fueled his decision to join the Philadelphia Reapers, however, was a connection he made while playing hockey across Europe. Victor Grachev. “He’s been staying with me while traveling with his team,” Grachev said when asked about Laperriere. “He’s a talented kid who’s getting the recognition he deserved. Back when I joined the league, the Reapers were the team I first signed with. And I think, after all of the stories I told, Laperriere decided to follow suit with that.” Laperriere currently sits on the 4th line in the Reapers lineup. But he’s already making waves on the team and in the locker room with his tricks he does on the ice during practice and in the locker room with the puck. If things are projected to go as the current S82 draft rankings state, Perry Laperriere could be ready to take the VHL by storm. “I know I’m ready, I just need to get acclimated to this league and then watch out!” Laperriere exclaimed as he paused between tiktok video takes. And to emphasize his point, he promptly fired 4 pucks from center ice high up into the stands into trashcans sitting in the 300 level seats in the Philadelphia Reapers arena. “You just wait and see, I’m going to make my mark here.” Will Laperriere set a record for shot accuracy into trashcans in the 300 section of the stands? I don’t even know if such a record exists. But will he go for some records in the VHL? Absolutely he will.

(S82) C - Perry Laperriere, TPE: 75
KaleebtheMighty replied to KaleebtheMighty's topic in Create A Player
First of all, thank you to the GMs who offered me a position. I was tempted to go multiple ways, but ultimately it’s hard to not go back to where I have such a deep connection to. Y’all have some great teams in the running for this season! But Laperriere is beginning his career the same way Grachev did. @Alex_J32#DontBeSillyComeToPhilly -

Goodnight sweet prince, what an absolute legend in Warsaw. Thanks to @.sniffuM, @dlamb, @DMaximus , @Ricer13, and so many others who made this player's career special.

Victor Grachev. Warsaw Predators core defensemen for his entire career. A consistent player across each season, he has herald the assistant captain letter on his jersey for nearly his entire career on the team. But as time moves on, retirement looms on the horizon. So what's next for Victor Grachev? Well, a number of things. There exists the rumors of a possible trade elsewhere to look for one more cup. Warsaw loyal fans might see this as a betrayal to the team, but most understand the level of dedication Grachev has given to the team. Never complaining about ice time, always a good spirit in the locker room, and playing his best whenever it mattered, Victor solidified himself as a Predator to be remembered for a long time. But a trade would give him one more run at the cup, potentially. "Management has to make a call that's best for the team," Grachev said recently. "And although Warsaw has been my home for a long time, I want that decision - if it comes - to be for the betterment of the Warsaw organization. If I stay, then I stay. If they need to send me elsewhere, then I leave on excellent terms." But what Victor is sure of is his off-ice achievements, especially in the Warsaw community. He recently took on a part time position in a local youth hockey league that might transition to full time when he retires. "I love helping kids learn the game I play," Victor stated. "And seeing their joy whenever I interact with them gives me the greatest feeling of accomplishment." The Warsaw community has been especially welcoming to the defenseman's contributions, exemplifying him with the renaming of the local rink. Grachev recently contributed $1 million dollars in a donation to boost the local youth hockey league. As of November 1st, 2021, the Riverfront Ice House will transition to the Victor Grachev Ice Arena. Not only has Victor began working with youth hockey, he recently began to mentor a few junior players playing in the area. Although they have transitioned out as seasons came and went, there was one player that Victor struck up a bond with. "When he first arrived, it was like meeting a younger version of me," Grachev said. "He showed great skills on the ice and was an amazing player. I've worked with him on the ice early in the mornings a few times, I think he has what it takes. I know I've mentioned to him the prospect of heading to the VHLM, but he is actively still playing in his current junior league." That player? Perry Laperrière, the French centerman from Lyon. "Perry has become a tremendous friend and player," Victor continued. "I'm excited to follow his career with earnest!" While Grachev has been steadily preparing for his retirement, he continues to play well for the Predators as they continue their battle throughout this season. Will he finish the season in Warsaw? Possibly, but if there's one note of certainty, it's that Victor Grachev is extremely thankful for his time with Warsaw. "I wouldn't have had it any other way. I have been treated exceptionally well and have enjoyed my career completely." Time will tell how Grachev's season ends, but his career has been tremendous, even though he lacks in individual awards. Grachev doesn't seem to think about that at all, but rather the time spent with his team, the friends he made along the way, and the championship won in S78.

Warsaw Predators Press Conference
KaleebtheMighty replied to Da_Berr's topic in Team Press Conferences
1). I think we did well with the picks we had! 2). S80 will be a bit harder for Warsaw, but I think if everyone keeps updating and putting in the effort we could surprise people this season. 3). No surprises, I thought everyone who deserved an award got one! 4). I mean...Istanbul for sure (but that didn't happen lol) 5). Dear is a star in the league, and although they have left I'm happy they went to a quality organization that looks ready to compete! 6). I bought a new bed mattress with my wife and watched football, so yeah fun times.
