1. Are you in the Christmas spirit yet? Or should I say - holiday spirit? I would say so. Decorations are up, prezzies bought, theme music playing during waking hours. Yup...it sounds a lot like Christmas. 2. What is the team lacking and need to improve? (Alexandre's question) That's a tough question. @hedgehog337 addressed this in one of his recent posts. 3. Which team is surprising you the most this season based off success? Likely Prague. We should have taken them out in the recent back-to back. But they swept us instead. 4. Is it just me or is this season FLYING? How are we 50 games in? Well, the wild card position is still within reach, but based on past experience...like several seasons worth....STHS will find a way to screw us !! 5. Looks like the NHL won't be going to the Olympics - do you think this is the best decision? From a viewers point of view...no. I want to see the best in the world duke it out for gold. From the point of view of player health and NHL economics....yes.....players will remain as safe as they can be given what they do. And the NHL can use the 2 weeks or so to make up some of the postponed games. 6. Do you think Ovie will stick around long enough to break Gretzky's record? I think so. But a lot will depend on his relative health (injuries).

I Don't Get It !!?? There are a few things that I just can't get my head around when it comes to how players perform in this league. So, In Season 79, the season before depreciation, my player, Isau DaMoose, struggled with point production getting just 73 points in what should have been his most productive year as far as TPA is concerned. Granted, Isau's line was only on the ice 30% of the time, but more about that later. In Season 80, after depreciation, Isau produced a team leading and career best 83 points. This is unusual in that Isau's skill set had diminished. However, his ice time was more balanced with his lines being on the ice 50% of the time. So, now we get to Season 81. Isau's skills have been further diminished, his ice time is down to 30% and yet he leads the Reign in point production with 39 points in just 24 games. If he continues at that rate (which is highly unlikely) he is on track for a 117 point season. So I am not complaining about this, but I sure as Hell don't understand how this can happen.

I rally like the fact that you have included three renders. Nice logo swap. The funky background works as well. As a former team mate the only change that I would like to have seen is the Riga Lion on your jersey !!! Fine work, as usual !!! 9/10

Very nice overall. I like the logo swap. That is very realistic. The border work is unique. I haven't seen that before. The font for "Nico's" first name could be a bit better defined, but that is really a minor thing. Great work 9/10

1. I don't think I asked this previously - but what do you think of the new logo? I like it. A bit more modern. 2. Is your player underperforming, overperforming, or performing just right so far this season? Well, since Isau is leading the team in point production for the second consecutive season, despite getting only 30% of the ice time , I think he is over-achieving. Or , maybe, he should have been doing this all along. 3. Name a practice drill you would be totally okay with eliminating forever? Stops and starts 4. Provide me a presser question to add to following pressers - you don't have to answer the question when I ask it Should the league be revisiting the concept of depreciation and forced retirement ? Do you think that player's careers should be somewhat longer ? 5. What is the best restaurant you have ever been to? Since I haven't been in a restaurant for over a year, my answer would be any restaurant. But seriously, I gotta think that Harry Barberians was the best. 6. My last presser asked what the Canucks needed to do to get better - they have since fired Green and Benning, replacing them with Bruce Boudreau and an interim. What do you think of these changes? Brucey will get the 'Nucks a few more wins, but really it is time to blow the team up and retool from the ground up.

I like what you are doing here. The graphic is minimalist....and yet it is not. Very little clutter with text and yet "McJake" still stands out. I like your choice of background and the subject player. Great work as usual. 9/10

I really like the dynamic in this graphic. Man, that guy looks like one mean player. The color palette that you have chosen works very well. Your choice of font is easily read and I like the information you have included. Another winner !!! 9.5/10

1. What's your impression on the first couple days of games in the S81 season? It has been an interesting start. We are playing 0.600 hockey. That might get us to the playoffs, but not much further. 2. Do you think Simon T hates the Riga Reign and specifically our GM? My pet peeve. The whole STHS system has been badly skewed for the entirety of Isau's career. 3. What was the most surprising move over the offseason? I guess that there was no market for upper end players. 4. If your player was forced to play another sport, at what position in which sport would they be the best at? Likely one of the half-forward positions in Hurling. 5. What's your favorite city to visit on the road trip and why? I liked Moscow. Lots of culture and history. 6. The Vancouver Canucks are not having a good time right now, what do you think is their biggest problem and what do they need to do to get better? I think they need a new management team that can establish a blueprint to bring a winning team back to Vancouver.

This is a very nice welcome to your newcomers. I like the way you incorporate information with your graphic. The fonts are clear and easily read. I would suggest a logo swap, but because these guys had just been drafted, perhaps their previous logos should suffice. 9/10

I really like what you are doing here. I particularly like the Gothic feel to the whole piece. The slight blurring of the text also adds to the overall effect. 9/10

So another off season. This one wasn’t quite so long as Isau managed to get in a few games in the World Cup with Team Mercenaries. Isau is commencing his seventh season in the VHL(M) and depreciation is taking its toll on Isau’s skill set. The Reign gave some consideration to trading Isau, but the market for him was pretty soft. As a result, he once again, signed with Riga. Personally, I like this. In fact, I wouldn’t mind if Isau finished his career in Riga. It would be pretty cool to have spent one’s entire career on the same team that drafted you !! As well, along with depreciation, has come an ambivalence about writing longer articles, or creating graphics. The motivation to do these things is far greater when your player is developing as opposed to fighting off the depreciation takeaways. The league is still a lot of fun and I look forward to see how things develop over the next two seasons. Go Riga !!

Wow ! Wild background and a great subject !! I like the colour palette you have chosen. My only suggestion would be to make the text pop a bit more. 8/10
