  1. Player Name: Isau DaMoose Preferred Render : Scott Hartnell Current Team: Riga Reign No preferred text Farewell Tour Last season for this guy Thanks
  2. 1. The season starts Tuesday - what's the expectation for your player? Well, what is there to expect from a player who is in his last season. I hope Isau will be a contributor as he has done in the past, but a lot will depend on whether or not he is set up for success. 2. What's your advice for the three rookies we have this season? Go for max earnings. Have fun with it all. 3. There has been recent difficulty the past two drafts with GM players falling, and subsequently getting a ban for purposely tanking their player. Do you think a better rule needs to be in place to avoid these situations? Perhaps, if a GM isn't following the rules and the spirit of the league then he/she/it shouldn't hold that position. 4. Are Riga making the playoffs? What's going to be the biggest difference? I like the Sandstrom acquisition. As far as making the playoffs is concerned....hmmmm...that would depend on how STHS treats us. If history tells us anything, it is that Riga won't get there, no matter what our lineup looks like. 5. Since the NHL can't go, who is your favorite hockey player that's heading to the Olympics this year? Owen Power, hands down !!! 6. Rams/Bengals Superbowel - who you got? Burrow could get it done, but the Bengals have to contend with the like of Aaron Donald, Cooper Kupp and Beckham.
  3. Nice sig. Your render is nice and clear. The player shows intensity and that works with the overall effect. I am really glad to see that it is wearing a cage !! You choice of color palette, that is, the use of warm colors is effective. Color theory claims that warm colors evoke passion and intensity which fits with what I mentioned about the render. Your choice of font for the player's surname is good, but "Reylynn" seems to be a bit blurry. Overall, nice work. Thanks for sharing 8/10
  4. Nice custom logo. The background works with this graphic. It sort of reminds me of classic artwork. The determined look on the players face also contributes to the overall effect. Your font is dynamic and stands out enough to be easily read. The jury is out on the "floating gloves". I get it that you want to inform the viewer as to the position the player plays, but maybe that could have been done in another way. Overall, nice work. 8/10
  5. 1. How has your player been holding up over this offseason? Because, once again, we didn't make the playoffs, the offseason is incredibly long. 2. We just finished the S78 draft, how do you think Riga did? I think we chose wisely, but, in this league, so much depends on whether or not our draftees reamin active. 3. Have you gotten much snow so far this winter wherever you are in the world? Enough of the damned white stuff !! And to think it will keep coming down for another 2 months !! 4. As a part 2 to question 3 - what is your mode of snow clearing right now? Prayer, snowblower, shovel. Not necessarily in that order. 5. If you were to start a new player - would you bother with the VHLE? Sure. It sounds like fun and gives you an opportunity to build your player. 6. Our GM @hedgehog337has been under the weather with a flu lately - everyone wish him a speedy recovery! It isn't a lot of fun being sick at any time. Best wished @hedgehog337
  6. I like this graphic for a few reasons. I like that it is informative. How the player render is positioned leads one's eyes naturally to the information presented. The use of space is also effective. Sometimes it is not what you include, but, rather, what you do not include. A little bit of space allows the graphic to "breathe". Your choice of a colour palette is effective and appealing. The use of warm or hot colours suggest passion and that is what I would want for a hockey player graphic. The overall effect is very pleasant. 9/10
  7. First off, let me say, that I really like this graphic. The colour scheme grabs one's attention. According to colour theory, the predominantly cool colours evoke calmness an a sense of relaxation. It don't know that this was done cognitively or instinctively, but it works. Secondly, the flow of the graphic leads one's eyes to the player's name. Again a positive element in terms of design. The text is unique. I certainly like the wavy effect in the player's surname. Overall 9/10
  8. 1. Do you think we need to draft another defenseman now that Connor Johnson is retired? 2. 3 of our S81 draftees already retired for one reason or another. Bad luck? 3. Why is winter the worst season? 4. The ex Riga player Justin Lose is about to win a whole lotta of awards. Happy for him? 5. What reaction did you have on banning of Cabe McJake? 6. Why is summer the best season? 1.) Since the posting of this question, I believe we did, so already answered. 2.) Likely bad luck, or, the user/player had to move away from a build that was not going to be productive. 3.) Well....it's because I stay inside so much because of the cold. For example, the high here today will be -17C. Overnight lows frequently around -30C. And then, when it isn't cold we a shitload of snow that has to be shoveled.\ 4.) Good on Justin !!! It kind of exemplifies how STHS has treated the Reign. 5.) I was unhappy that he had been banned. However, if he did was bannable, then so be it. 6.) Warm weather, cold beer.
  9. This is one great graphic. Your use of layering, combined with varying degrees of transparency is very well done. The predominantly red color palette goes well with the Istanbul Red Wolves. To bad there wasn't a better outcome for Game 7. 9.5/10
  10. Great choice of p[layer. I have always been a fan of "Phil The Thrill". The background composite really sets this off. Good choice of color palette and your font choice was extremely legible. Real nice work as usual 9.5/10
  11. 1. How the new year eve went for you? Ya, well it was very calm. Covid has affected a lot of our socialization. So we guzzled up a young ocean of bubbly, watched the ball drop, and called everyone we knew who might still be awake. 2. Rate your hangover post NYE I was a bit dry and tired, but nothing major. On a scale of 7.2 - 7.8. I guess it would be a 7.3 (on the Richter Scale) 3. Do you have particular draftees you wanna see in Riga? Pretty much anybody who can score. That has been our downfall for a few seasons. Maybe a meta player might be in order for a coup[le of seasons. Maybe experiment with one in the VHLM/E to see if the meta theory works. 4. Are you already bored without games? This is a topic about which I have written a few articles. I passed this season, because it started to sound a lot like whining. But, ya, the "off-season", even though it is really not off-season yet, can be interminably long for those not in the playoffs. Ya, so there is that draft tournament, but I struggle to find the index for it and it really has no hype !!! 5. Do you have a faith in Riga making the playoffs next season? C'mon @hedgehog337, you know better than to ask that question !!! STHS will likely fuck us over once again, no matter what talent you bring in. In fact, haven't we been down that road before ?? Anyway, this being my last season, whether it is in Riga or elsewhere, I sure would like to be on a team that has a deep playoff run ! 6. Do you have a multi? Muahahaha!. That does seen to be the burning question in the forums these days. But the real question is if I have Dissociative Identity Disorder (Multiple Personality Disorder) can I have an account for each of my 18 personalities ???

    TPA Recall

    Isau DaMoose Passing 80 -> 70 Thanks
  13. Nice clear renders that really pop. I like the cityscape background as well as the great job done with the logo swaps. Great work. I look forward to your next installment. 9/10
  14. 1. We are almost done this season, how has your player been doing compared to expectations? 2. Are you watching the World Juniors this year? Who are your players your most excited to see? 3. How has your Christmas/Holiday been so far? 4. What has been your favorite sporting moment ever (in real life)? 5. Has Omicron effected your area a lot in terms of lockdowns and/or healthcare capacity? 6. Should the league be revisiting the concept of depreciation and forced retirement ? Do you think that player's careers should be somewhat longer ? (Eynhallow's question) 1.) Well, Isau did pretty good as far as point production, but still no deep playoff run. I agree with @hedgehog337 in that there is no fucking way that should have happened given the draft class of S75. 2.) I was watching the World Juniors. It looked like Canada was firing on all cyllinders. 3.) Good. Got a rare chance to spend some time with family. 4.) I would say a Grey Cup game that I attended in Regina. 5.) Ya, Ontario is hit pretty hard. Hospital capacity not so much, but still significant. 6.) My own question !! Ha ! Ya, I think players careers should be longer. But there has to be some kind of limit so that the older players don't dominate for lengthy periods of time. a move from 7 to 10 seasons I think would work out well, with increasingly more degradation.
  15. I echo hedge's @hedgehog337 sentiments. STHS has been ridiculously awful for Isau DaMoose's entire career in Riga. Kinda spoils the fun ya know !!!
  16. @kelvi Thank-you. Great graphic !!!
  17. So, the end of Isau DaMoose's penultimate season id fast approaching. He, once again, is leading his team, the lowly Riga Reign in point production. At this time he has 88 points, 35 goals and 53 Assists, in 61 games played. This is 19 points better than his closest team mate. Isau seems to have become more productive as his skill were depreciated. One can only wonder what would have happened if Isau was with a different team during the zenith of his career. Isau has only one more season before retirement. He is hoping that he will be able to contribute to whatever team he happens to play for during that time. He hopes it will be Riga. If so, he will have spent his entire career with the same team which is an accomplishment in itself. As Isau makes his farewell tour in Season 82 he will begin by thanking everyone who has contributed to an incredibly fun career. Recreation is another big decision that is looming. Another forward, or a defenseman or maybe a goalie. Time will tell !!!
  18. I like the sort of mixed media in this graphic. The superimposition of the two renders is outstanding. You could try to make the name "Seymour Butts: stand out a bit more. Overall, a real nice effort. 8/10
  19. Nice clear graphic. And, ya, I like the blood.....shades of Doug Glatt !! To improve, you could have deleted the star on your player's helmet, maybe replacing it with a Halifax logo. Otherwise very nice. 8/10
  20. 1 - What's one place in the world you'd like to visit some day? The Cook Islands, South Pacific. 2 - What inspired your current VHL player build/name? Likely Scott Hartnell. A blend of ability and grit goes a long way in my estimation. 3 - If you're eligible for a covid vaccine, have you gotten it? If you haven't, please schedule it. Stay safe, VHL! Yup. Booster shot Wednesday. The facts are indisputable that vaccines work !! Stay Safe !!! 1.) Name one former NHL player who was born in Africa. 2.) What current or former VHL player should be commemorated on local currency ? 3.) When your player is "retired", will you attempt a different build/position in your recreate ?
