  1. Woah woah woah, hold your horses there pal. He may have the rankest smelling feet out there, but if we're talking about REAL stank I'm pretty sure that definitely comes from your locker in the locker room, the real reason why you were moved to LA I'll let you pick me up and toss me, at least you will get to lift something up this season seeing as you won't with the cup
  2. 1. Well personally as the league's leader in defender goal scoring, I think it's safe to say we love to take sniping it to the next level by doing it from the blue line consistently 2. Groovy Dood isn't getting any younger, but the soon to be DC Dragon all time point leader will not slow down until he's literally forced into retirement. I fully expect him to put it to the next gear and turn up the point and goal scoring sooner than later this season. 3. DC is definitely in a win-now phase with the remaining core besides a few pieces either retiring next season or the season afterwards, which means heavy regression incoming. I'd say that re-tooling is a must, but my faith is with Eno to make the right moves to put us in a good position. 4. Hitch with Will Smith. I'm not even sure if it was because it was bad or not, but I literally attempted to sit through it 3 times and fell asleep each and every time. 5. Android babyyyyyy. Apple is for posh people or people with too much money, I'll take my Samsung Galaxy any day over an IPhone. 6. Degrading myself with self-roasting sadge.
  3. @Spartanyeah well, you stink and your league main is overrated
  4. Review: There's...a lot going on in this radio and I'm not sure that it's a good thing. It seems that you had two different microphones (a decent one and one that kept cutting out) + rants mixed together and makes it a bit messy, definitely with the message to me as it came off quite a bit odd with you calling yourself a rattlesnake of all things (is that you Stone Cold?). The talk about how artistically inclined you are and how you've went to art classes so you know a thing or two about reviewing was great, but I would have preferred to see a better rant in general about how anything I said was super negative. Overall I think there's a bit of work to be done on it, but I see the idea you were trying to go for. I'd give it a 5.5/10, not quite a 6 as you didn't edit out the 3 minutes of silence at the end.
  5. S79 has a fantastic rookie race for the ROTY, with some big name recreates as well as some fantastic first-gens making a name for themselves already. However, I wanted to touch on a few rookies who I personally have a connection with and that I keep an eye as a few big name Yukon Rush Alumni who I also drafted personally. VHL S79 1st Overall Pick - Papa Emeritus (@Beketov) - Moscow Menace - Goaltender Someone already used to being traded up for as the same was done in his VHLM Draft, Papa Emeritus was a staple for the Yukon Rush on their run for S78 Founder's Cup. Moscow didn't want to take the chance that another team would take this franchise changing goaltender and decided to take him 1st Overall. So far in his rookie campaign, Papa and his dastardly ghouls in Moscow haven't had the best season thus far and currently sit in 7th place in the EU Conference and are out of a playoff spot. However, not much can be blamed on Papa himself as he currently sits with a respectable 2-2-3 record with a fantastic save percentage of .930% and a good 2.99 goals against average. Moscow is a time on the rise with their young stars breaking out, and Papa surely will be a piece that Moscow won't be moving any-time soon. VHL S79 2nd Overall Pick - Tyler Reinhart (@Zetterberg) - Vancouver Wolves - Right Wing The S79 VHLM Regular Season MVP, Tyler Reinhart, was arguably the top pick going into the draft, however it was quite known that he was looking forward to joining an organization that would be able to pick both himself and his brother (Jerome Reinhart) in the same draft. Thus Vancouver made the bid to do exactly that by acquiring both the 2nd and 3rd overall picks in his draft year and selecting the brothers back-to-back. Tyler Reinhart was leading the rookie scoring race to begin with, however he has slowed down as of late with his brother instead taking that role over. However, his scoring pace is nothing to scoff at having 14 goals and 15 assists for 29 points in 33 games. Vancouver is in a bid for the wild-card position for the playoffs, however the race is close for that and we can easily see the Wolves be the odds ones out looking in, however the Wolves are still in rebuild/retooling mode so I don't think there is much to worry about for now. Tyler will be an effective top line scoring winger for many seasons to come, and the dynamic duo between him and his brother will be a reckoning for teams for their entire careers. VHL S78 9th Overall Pick - Nathan Powers (@JB123) - Prague Phantoms - Defenseman Despite not being in the top of the scoring race, Nathan Powers is a very reliable defenseman that Prague very happily picked up in the latter half of the 1st round in the S78 draft. Powers was a key-piece to Yukon's cup run and was recognized as such with his Playoff MVP award winning performance as the Rush's captain. Thus far into Prague's season, who were one of the top team's in the EU going into the season, things could both be worse and better. Sitting 4th in the conference, Prague isn't sweating quite yet, however they are only a few losses away from being a team not making the playoffs. Despite this, Powers himself is having a solid rookie season with very good underlying numbers. Some could say he's having an average season as a D+1 year defenseman with 16 points in 33 games, however I look strongly at his hitting and shotblocking numbers being 95 and 72 respectively which puts him up there with players at the top of the league in those stats. The former Rush captain has a solid start to his VHL career, and with the duo of Powers and franchise Prague defender Battre Sandstrom being a future reality, Prague could have a very solid blueline in the near future. VHL S79 18th Overall Pick - Jaromir Lemiuex (@hockeyis66) - Moscow Menace - Right Wing What turned out to be both a depth pick for Yukon in my first year as the General Manager and what turned into a 2nd rounder in his VHL Draft year, Lemiuex continues to blow expectations out of the water. Coming out of the Rush off the ropes of a 100+ point season, Lemieux was joining the very young and developing core in Moscow, and there couldn't be a better fit. Currently, Lemiuex is in the close running for being the top rookie point leader alongside the two Reinhart brothers in Vancouver with a great 12 goals and 18 assists for 30 points in 34 games. Already touched on previously, Moscow hasn't had the best season so far, but with their core of younger players playing up to their potential, they really have nothing to complain about until the next season when they're expected to be a top team in the EU. Lemiuex may be one of the most underrated rookies coming into the season and may not have been looked at as a top line contributor, however despite the odds as he's always done, Lemiuex finds himself in the best situation on a young and up and coming team in Moscow. Honorable Mention (as he never played for another VHLM team before being drafted to and playing in the VHL) VHL S79 3rd Overall Pick - Jerome Reinhart (@MexicanCow123) - Vancouver Wolves - Left Wing Technically speaking, I never drafted Jerome Reinhart to the Yukon Rush, however it was understood that he was coming into the league after the VHLM draft to the team that drafted his older brother Tyler Reinhart. Thus, Jerome is a honorary drafted Yukon Rush Alumni in my books. Despite having a really great season with the Rush, Jerome was overshadowed by Tyler Reinhart, however Jerome has slowly come into his own in the VHL and may be casting the shadow over his brother. Sitting as the VHL rookie scoring leader with a fantastic 18 goals and 18 assists in 33 games, his 36 points shows that he is going to be a a force to be reckoned with if this is how he plays before he fully develops. Vancouver might have set their entire future up with the Reinhart brothers, and with Jerome becoming a beast it'll be only time before we see the Wolves be a perennial playoff team. ----------- Being the Yukon General Manager was an absolute pleasure, but it's drafting players like the above and having them in the locker-room which was my highest pride and joy. And to see them all turn out to be top picks as well as having fantastic VHL careers so far is something that I watch with earnest and with a big smile on my face. 6. Review: Honestly thought you were the master graphic master and this is the best you got? 2/10 on a good day. Actually though, this is a super dope graphic! I'm a huge fan of the background with the player's name being the focus point (at least for me) and you added great effects to it to make it stand-out enough, but not take focus away from the player render. Speaking of which, clean logo swap and colour swaps as always, although the gold helmet is a bit odd looking but I know that'd be a hard switch. Overall a wonderfully clean graphic for the new tendy in Warsaw. 9/10!
  7. Review: There's...a lot going on in this graphic and I'm not sure that it's a good thing. It seems that you had two different backgrounds + effects mixed together and makes it a bit messy, definitely with the dragon in the background as it's face got messed up due to it. The colour swap for the jersey was done really well and the player render has a great resolution to it, but I would have preferred to see a logo swap on the shoulder. Overall I think there's a bit of work to be done on it, but I see the idea you were trying to go for. I'd give it a 6/10.
  8. It's been quite the crazy past few weeks for me and at the moment I have no idea what to do for an article (tried to write one and ended up writing a 1000+ word media spot so rip to that original idea) so I figured I'd just do the usual articles people do and ramble. Stepping down from Yukon was something that took a lot to consider, as a Yukon born and raised person it's hard to let go of something you cherish like that, however I know it's better off in @Domg5's hands with his activity compared to what I can offer currently. Overall I'm not as active in VHL due to a multitude of issues, from recently breaking up with my long-time girlfriend to some real life losses in the family to work being busy as it always has been. I'm hoping that I can get that motivation again to go 110% for the VHL like I was not even a few months ago, however it's just one of those things that it's hard to keep up with many responsibilities with my current mental health status. Coming over to DC Dragons has been a blessing so far, as I feel like a lot of stress is now off my shoulders with how my career in Toronto went, and to be on a stable team with a wonderful GM in @Enorama who is training me like a dog for League of Legends and a captain in @bigAL who I can literally high-five in person for good sims is something that makes me incredibly happy. @osens is dope and I'm glad he finally got an AGM gig, and that it's with DC. Dude is great for the locker-room and keeps us updated on sim results and does the pressers, he's all in all a perfect AGM in my opinion. Well, that's it for now
  9. 1. We're about half-way through the season, so the worry should be soon as if we want to make the playoffs we need to be a lot more consistent. Despite being middle of the division, we could easily swing to the bottom if we go on a losing skid. 2. I think with the implosion of Toronto and some teams failing to live up to expectations *cough* New York *cough*, I think in the next 20 games I think the gap will start to widen, but I think the main thing is that the NA Conference this year is just a lot more stronger than the EU Conference. 3. Chicago and Seattle are consistently in the playoffs and consistently go far, so I wouldn't want to face up with them in the 1st round off the bat, but overall I think our worst match-up would be Seattle out of all the teams in the NA Conference just due to how badly they've beat us in all the games we've had so far with them. 4. Definitely pickles. I can easily get a jar or two of them and just mack on them all day long for snacks. 5. Wildest dream would be that we'll eventually be married @osens 6. I have ones on my phone set up for every half an hour from 6 am to 8:30 am to make sure I get up for work. And even then it usually doesn't work
  10. Doubtful, I don't think I would have faired better with Toronto.

  12. Second and Final Claim for 8/8
  13. You saying Jiggly Juice isn't the best duo name in the league? @JigglyGumballs to confirm as this is a heinous crime in my eyes
  14. Scotty Kaberle ( @fromtheinside ) is far and away the best defenseman in the league, and I'm here to tell you why in 10 reasons (in no particular order). 1. The dude is a beast on and off the ice. Did you know in his free time he casually helped the Yukon Rush VHLM team win their first cup in three years and 20 seasons? 2. He has the perfection of an offensive defenseman build that every defenseman should aspire to have, and helped guide me to build my player. 3. Loyalty to the core no matter what, and signing a career contract to show that is respectable beyond all means. 4. He doesn't like the Habs. 5. Despite having some down seasons in Toronto, he's consistently putting up really great point totals from the start of his career onwards including being point-per-game so far this season! 6. He loves @BOOM and that's a quality I can get behind in a person. 7. Super friendly guy and has captaincy material written all over him. 8. He tells it like it is, whether it can be hard to hear or not, but not in an aggressive/mean way. 9. He absolutely loved working on Yukon as much as I did, and wanted the team to succeed without over sacrificing assets which is easy to do in management. 10. Wears the nicest cologne around. Thank you for reading my in-depth and well thought out breakdown of the best VHL defender in the league.
  15. The view of the city on Welch's entry to DC on his flight from Toronto. It's been a long off-season, and without a doubt the most mentally tiring of Kristof Welch's career thus far. With the announcement of wanting to test Free Agency and then ultimately being agreed to be flipped to the D.C. Dragons from the Toronto Legion, the pinball of where his future lies in the league finally settled down now that he has made his way to his new team. Looking towards the season, it was quite obvious that the Dragons would be a team that would push for the playoffs but maybe not make it as far as his old team. However, knowing that he could be the face of change, Welch was prepped for the challenge ahead. Knowing only a few teammates that he's actually spoken to more than once through the league off the bat in Groovy Dood ( @bigAL ), the Captain and star of the D.C. Dragons for his entire career, and Jiggly Gumballs ( @JigglyGumballs ), a no-nonsense physical defenseman who would compliment Welch's offensive game perfectly as a dynamic defensive duo, it was definitely a bit anxious to see how the locker-room would be as well as how the season would go with this team of hardened veterans and only a few players with only a few seasons under their belt (including Welch himself). But looking at the how the 79th VHL Season has gone so far, I think there is a bit of a surprise in the league and in the NA conference. Shifting between 1st and 2nd in the NA conference, the D.C. Dragons are currently sitting at a record of 8-4-6, and although many of those are overtime/shootout losses, they are still one of the only teams in the league so far with a positive Goal Differential. Now with such firepower in the NA conference, this could be not an all season type thing as even the last place New York Americans are only 5 points out of 1st place in the conference, however I'd be firm to believe that the Dragons are not just a flash in the pan. Speaking before-hand of what could be a dominating duo between both Welch and Gumballs, who both in their own right have had solid careers thus far but haven't been exactly dominate in their position, I think matching these two players together have brought the best out of both of their games. Gumballs, both a leader on the ice and in the locker-room right out of the gate joining the team, makes his presence known on the ice his entire career in a Scott Stevens-esque way. Throwing his body around is his game, and has never had less than 150 hits in a season and eclipsed the 200 hit mark twice, but his point totals always came out to be somewhere between a good top-4 and borderline top-2 blueliner with a few 60 points seasons but usually less. However this season, despite it being probably one of the last out of this aging defenseman, Gumballs is finally showing the league his true potential. Already with 20 points in 18 games as well as 53 hits and 33 shot blocks, Gumballs is sitting top-10 in defensemen scoring as well as top 15 in hits for defensemen. It is quite easy to say that D.C. might not near be the team they are currently without him manning the blue line and tossing aside players left and right while still scoring at an above point-per-game level. But alongside Gumballs as a defensive partner on the first pairing, Welch is also experiencing the untapped potential in this original top-5 selection only a few drafts ago. Similar to Gumballs in the sense of having good point total seasons but never really reaching that top defenseman level, Welch has finally put the tools together as a Dragon. Currently second in defensive scoring as well as top-15 in shot-blocks, Welch might be having the breakout season that can only be compared to his fellow former-Legion teammate Gunnar Odinsson ( @BOOM ) in Malmo who is currently torching the league as the best performing player in the league. Welch is currently sitting with a stat-line of 26 points in 18 games (with 8 of those points being goals already as well), with his defensive game still standing strong with 12 hits and 45 shot blocks. Only a quarter of the way through the season, it will be something to keep an eye on if the Jiggly Juice combo continues this performance together. However, despite having a new look blue-line, the Dragons would be nothing without their fearless leader and captain Groovy Dood manning the way yet again. On his way to his 5th consecutive point-per-game season, Dood many not be dominate as of yet this season, but as one of the only stars on the forward core it is great to see that Dood who is also in one of his final seasons still put up great numbers with 24 points in 18 games, 11 of which are goals. And speaking of which, Dood currently sits top-20 in both points and goal totals as well as keeping up his trademarked physical game with 101 hits which sits him at second in the entire league in hits, which goes to show that the Dood has his captaincy for a reason with his all around remarkable game. We asked Welch for a quick summary on his thoughts on how he's fit in with his new team thus far, and he had this to say, "I feel reinvigorated as a player in the league with the Dragons, and I have to give a lot of props to my General Manager @Enorama who took the chance on me despite me announcing that I wanted to test Free Agency. Knowing that he could have had me for free in Free Agency if I choose D.C. then, but still sent a package of picks for me makes me feel more motivated to be a better player for him and the team. I want this team to be a winning team, if not for the myself, but for the veterans like Groovy Dood or Jiggly Gumballs who never got the cup. I love being a Dragon, and I hope this core sticks together." There is still a lot of time left in the season, and the standings and player performances can change on the dime, but the new look Dragons are gelling super well together thus far and time will tell if it will finally be the year the Dragons make a real run for the cup since a heart-breaking defeat back in S75. 16. Review: Shaggy! Great graphic buddy, although it's quite large and I usually prefer the smaller ones that could be used as signatures, I like this poster-esque graphic you did. With a nice effect and background cutout for the player and good logo swap (although I usually like colour swaps on top as well), I think you did a fine job. I'm not super into the background you used despite it working well with the Moscow colours, but I'd rate this a solid 7/10.
  17. Review: I LOVE this @Zetterberg. You found a concept I haven't seen on the website yet, and I think you executed it really, really, really well. The split between home and away on the jersey, and the having the opposite done in the background makes each side bloom more than if you just did a plain background, and the colour swaps are done really well too! I would have loved to see maybe a player name or some sort of text regarding Prague as well, but that's pretty minor of a criticism if you factor in that the graphic is superb. I'd give this a 8.5/10
  18. 1. Honestly couldn't be happier with the fresh start with the Dragons and the season so far. I never would put pressure on wanting my team to be perfect out the gate and having an amazing winning record, but to be in the race for the top of the division makes me super happy to be a Dragon. 2. Honestly probably not having one more amazing forward up front alongside our Captain, some of those extra point loses were high scoring games so the blame definitely goes more on the defense and myself included, but having the firepower upfront might help keep the puck out of our end more. 3. I wouldn't say I'm a super important piece to the puzzle, but I'm beyond glad that I find myself here in DC rather than anywhere else. I knew that a change of scenery might be better for me mentally but seeing myself produce at this rate makes me happy with how things turned out. Now let's put this to even more work and strive for a deep run in the playoffs. 4. I've been on vacation all week so I haven't really been paying attention, plus I'm more of a winter Olympic guy. 5. Probably GOTTASADAE - BewhY, just hits so good. 6. Winter. Give me the cold and leadup to Halloween and Christmas and I'm a happy boy.
  19. D - Tyler Walker G - Doug Dimmadome @enigmaticmake your last pick count
