  1. I'm all business. I ain't here to play around.
  2. I'm going to keep on improving to become a 300 point player
  3. Are you hating on me? If you're hating on me we're gonna have some serious problems
  4. I'm 100% sure I'm going to win, so I don't even need to think of this possibility.
  5. I’m gonna come out here and say it. I guarantee that your boy Yaroslav Bogatyrev, aka The Big Boga, aka The People's Champion, aka Pretty Boy Yaro, aka OOGA BOGA, aka your mom's favourite hockey player, is going to win the Dustin Funk Trophy in S87 for most improved player. As predictions open, I really recommend that you consider including me as your selection for this award, as I love the VHL community and I want to help you ensure that you get 1 extra TPE that you can throw into poise or leadership or something like that. But you’re right to have questions as to how I know this is going to happen? Let me run that down for you. 1. Boga is already elite Okay, I know what you’re thinking here. “lol crappy Boga only managed 31 points last season”. But here’s where you’re wrong. I wasn’t focused on updating my scoring attributes last season. Because I’m a “good team guy”, I got up other attributes such as defence. As a result, Boga is already a DEFENSIVE FORCE. There’s a reason why Seattle had the second best defence in the VHL last season. We ate pucks. We kept the puck out of the net. Sure, we couldn’t score. But the fact that the VHL seriously underestimates defensive play is a narrative that needs to be thrown out. 2. Boga gets sh*t done There have been a lot of changes to the Seattle roster over the offseason. I’m not going to name names because I’m not a hater (take note @Spartan , @Arce). However, Boga was central to these moves taking place. Basically, I’m a top line talent. And as a result, I’m off the second line this season and onto the first. The management knows that I’m not going to accept another season on the second line, and I’m so valuable that when I say something, it gets done. Playing on the first line will mean that I have to carry @Hoganand his terrible player, that’s true, but at the end of the day, Boga is here and is good enough to get a point-per-game season. That should be more than enough to win the Dustin Funk. 3. It’s not easy being me I think the VHL needs to pay greater attention to the everyday hate that I face on Discord. Everyone wants to take shots at Bojo. Whether it be based on my nationality, or their ignorance to understand the fantastic content I provide and the facts that I spit. With this article, I want to raise awareness of the issues that I face at the hands of the VHL community, and that I’m able to come through this adversity without being a hater myself. I’m a model of what it takes to rise and grind and have that mentality that leads to success. I’m a damned winner. I’m super proud of my VHLM and WJC victories with Jan Hlozek. I got medals made and they’re currently on my mantlepiece. Bojo is a winner, and when I want something, I will win it. Now I want to win the Dustin Funk. There’s no chance of winning the Continental Cup because the Seattle Bears aren’t anywhere near good enough to win it, but whatever.
  6. BIG BOGA gonna score all of Seattle's goals.

  8. Hi
  9. I should be in the BOG. I mean, my player is called BOGatyrev.
  10. 1. Christmas and New Year was good. Especially when it's like 80 degrees outside. 2. Either the roast duck I made for christmas, or the christmas cake that followed. 3. My wife and I don't give out gifts and christmas and new year. Only ended up buying the cat a new cat tree. 4. Don't care at all. We need to be there next season. 5. Good news, now let's go win some games. 6. Work is good, surprisingly.
  11. Recap because I'm an idiot. The cup is in the building! What could be better than Game 7 under the lights. It's a chance for the Vancouver Wolves to return to the top table after the meta era, while the Prague Phantoms are looking to win their first title for an extended run. The Phantoms came to play in the first period. They mustered 23 shots on goal in the opening frame but Brandt Fuhr was equal to every single one of them. His Wolves' teammates eventually showed up, as they would go on to net the first goal of the game with just 3 and a half minutes to go in the second frame. On the powerplay, Biggie Cheese found Pierre Emile Bouchard at the back door, who ripped home for just his second goal of the playoffs. The Czech side would come out swinging in the third though. Faith Hope Love would score after just 49 seconds to tie the game at one, and it would be the Phantoms who outshot the Wolves 2 to 1 in the third period. With no score, the game would go to overtime. Faith Hope Love would turn from hero to villain however, as while they sat in the box, Bouchard ripped home 10 minutes into the extra frame to seal the game, and the title, for the Vancouver Wolves. Bravo!
  12. The rosters for the World Cup have been revealed, but one name that won’t be there is Yaroslav Bogatyrev. The big-bodied Russian forward, who had 31 points in the VHL last season, failed to make of the teams and is sitting this tournament out. “I’m stunned that the GMs of the tournament couldn’t fit a place for me. I think I’ve shown that I’m an elite two-way winger who, in my time with Seattle, has proven to be a super penalty killer. Of course there are great players in the VHL, but none of them have what Boga has. None of them can motivate others like Boga can,” the Russian forward wrote on Instagram. It remains to be seen what the season has in store for Yaroslav Bogatyrev. His social media outburst shocked many, as no-one was expecting the Nizhny Tagil native to make the roster. “lol who does this bum bogatryev think he is. How is a guy with only 30 points getting to the World Cup is he smoking crack?” one comment on the post read. “Bogatyrev is the most overrated player in the VHL. How did he ever get drafted second overall? What is the management in Seattle doing, this guy can’t even fucking skate,” another comment read.
  13. MOSCOW, January 16, 2023 (Shaiba.ru) – The past weekend has been awash with activity in the Victory Hockey League. The opening of free agency and the S87 Entry Draft is a sign that the new season is just around the corner. For the Seattle Bears and Yaroslav Bogatyrev, the next season promises to be one of change. Management has made several moves over the past few days, including a remarkable series of trade to move up to fourth overall in the draft, to select Randy Bobandy. The team cut Tavish DeGroot, and while the team failed to make a big splash in the free agency market, sometimes addition by subtraction is the way forward. Yaroslav Bogatyrev is currently back home in Russia going through a rigorous training camp under the watchful eye of his father and former coach, Oleg. He spoke with Shaibu.ru to give his view on the season ahead, and what he hopes to achieve. “For me, next season has to be about making that step forward and establishing myself as a top player in the VHL. Last season was difficult, but I feel that I learned a lot. I learned how to play without the puck at an elite level, but now it’s time to sharpen my offensive game and become a major contributor for the Seattle Bears,” Yaroslav Bogatyrev said. The Seattle Bears were swept out of the play-ins in S86, and the disappointment of this defeat has given Bogatyrev motivation to take a step forward in his game. “The way the season ended was incredibly disappointing. I don’t think we were in a position to contend for the Continental Cup, but at the end of the day, to go out like that was simply embarrassing. I think the worst thing was the lack of effort that we put forward in those games. Of course, I cannot say much, because I didn’t make a major contribution on the scoresheet. That has to change next season. I want to be a leader on this team and I feel that the team is in a great place going forward,” Bogatyrev said. Off-season training in Russia is notoriously hard. Dating back to the Soviet days, hockey players are often put through grueling twice or even thrice daily practices, both on-ice and on dryland. This is nothing different for Bogatyrev, who said that his father knows how to push his buttons and get the best out of them. “There are times during training that I’ve wanted to fight my dad during training. He’s the toughest coach that I know, but his success comes through his ability to motivate and help you achieve things that you couldn’t even dream of doing. I’m super grateful to have this extended period of time at home and to get all the tools I need to go forward for the next season. I’m sure that I will be in the best possible shape when the season starts,” the Russian forward, who calls Nizhny Tagil his home, replied.

  23. The season is over. The meta is back. The Vancouver Wolves have lifted the Continental Cup, and now there are several weeks for drafts, signings, and all the rest of it to happen. For the players of the Seattle Bears, the offseason has already been in full swing for more than two weeks. Many of the players have gone back home, and are already beginning preparations for S87. There’s much promise if you believe what management say, but it’s fair to say that the team failed to deliver after similar comments were made ahead of S86. What about Yaroslav Bogatyrev? The second overall pick of the S86 draft had a shocker of a rookie season. He managed only 31 points in the regular season and flattered to deceive in the play-in. His TPE is going up rapidly, and if paired with good players, Boga could be in with a chance of winning the Dustin Funk trophy. That could be getting ahead of ourselves, but there’s reason to be optimistic in the performance of the big bodied Russian forward next season. However, playoffs are the things that all players deep down want, and a decent run in them at that. The time is now.
