  1. Welcome everyone, last week we talk about one of Rome's prospects, John Poremba Jr @CrlineDijohn14, and this week we will talk about another one, James Kagelberg @MatiasMa. James played last year in the VHLM with the Las Vegas Aces and scored 41 goals and 40 assists for a total of 81 points in 72 games. Kagelberg had a differential of plus 43 and 386 shots. James Kagelberg is expected to play in the VHLE next year with the Rome Gladiators and have a pretty important role. With Russel Dixon @Rjdixon01 retirering at the end of the current season, James is going to be the first center of the team and he will probably play in power play and penalty kill. I am personally very excited to play with Rome next season and I can't wait to see what he can do with his new teammates. Thanks everyone, see you next week and let's go Gladiators!!!
  2. Welcome everyone, The regular season is over and the playoffs have started, but the Rome Gladiators are not part of it, so the off-season has already started for them. In this episode I will talk about one of Rome's prospect John Poremba Jr @CrlineDijohn14. He played last season in the VHLM with the Philapelphia Reapers scoring 10 goals and 56 assists for a total of 66 points in 72 games with a differential plus/minus of plus 21. Poremba Jr finished 8th in the league for the amount of points among the defencemen. John finished the season with 113 hits, 88 shots blocked and 176 shots on goal. Poremba Jr is going to play in the VHLE next year with the Rome Gladiators and is going to be an important piece of the team if they want to be competitive in the upcoming seasons. With S84 being the last season of creed @assassin6898 and Trevor Wallace @LilHCorny John is going to have an important role on the team next year with the team. Thanks everyone, see you next week and let's go Gladiators!!!
  3. Welcome everyone, The season ended yesterday and the playoffs are beginning tomorrow. Another season without playoffs for the Rome Gladiators, but not a really really bad one overall. Rome finished the season with a record of 28 wins, 34 losses and 10 losses in overtime for a total of 66 points in 72 games. After the trade sending their captain Justin Adolfsen @NJDevils24 to Vasteras at the trade deadline, the team was no longer the same and the losses started to be more frequent then the victories. With 25 goals in 72 games, Chikeli Cholo @bobikebscored the most goals of the team after Justin Adolfsen who had 33 in 48 games. X Man @Xalen11 finished the season with 17 goals and 40 assists for a total of 57 points in 70 games and also finished the season as the defensemen with the goals, assists and points in the team. We also got to mention the excellent performance of the goalkeeper DJ Fire Dragon @Firekiss with a save pourcentage of 0.928% and a goal against average of 2.83. Thanks everyone, see you next week and let's go Gladiators!!!
  4. Recap game 570: The game between two teams in the North American Conference, the D.C.Dragons and the Toronto Legion, ended by the score of 3-2 in overtime for the Dragons. Both team needed a win, Toronto to have a chance to finish third in the Conference and D.C. to keep their first place in the Conference and have the ice advantage during the majority of the playoffs. Ryan Vidot scored two goals in the victory, the one to tie the game and the one in overtime to win the game.
  5. Welcome everyone, Three days ago was the trade deadline in the VHLE and it was a very quiet one. Only three trade and only one with more than three pieces. The first one was between Vasteras and your Rome Gladiators. Rome traded Justin Adolfsen @NJDevils24and the S85 ROM 4th in exchange of the S85 ROM 3rd, the S86 VAS 2nd and S85 VAS 3rd. Rome is not going to make the playoffs and it is the last season in the VHLE for Adolfsen, so there was no reason to keep him and Rome got a really nice return in this trade. In the second trade, between Vasteras and Stockholm, Vasteras got Matty Live @Mattylive3k in exchange of the S85 Vas 2nd. There is also a third one between Cologne and Oslo that is still pending approval. The trade involves two players, a draft pick and future considerations. The trade is probably going to be accepted, but we are still waiting for the league's decision. Thanks everyone, see you next week and let's go Gladiators!!!
  6. Hello everyone, This week is theme week and we need to talk about the VHL at 15. I am only a member of the VHL since S77, so I don’t have a lot of memories of important members, significant change or things that we should remember. However, I think that I have one thing that marked everyone in the early 80’s. You remember when the Vancouver Wolves won three Continental Cup in a row in S80, S81 and S82. Well, in this article I will go over these three incredible seasons the Vancouver Wolves had. S80 In S80, the Wolves won the Vicory Cup with 57 wins and 118 points in 72 games and also won the Continental Cup against the Moscow Menace in 7 games. Vancouver started the S80 by acquiring Hari Singh Nalwa @Dil, who was going to be an important piece in the S81 and S82 in a three teams trade with the D.C. Dragons and the Riga Reign. The Wolves gave Ryan Vidot @Enoramain this trade. In the middle of the season, Vancouver acquired Jeffrey Pines @rory from Los Angeles, who was going to retire at the end of S80, in exchange of L @gorlaband a 2nd round pick in S81. Finally, at the trade deadline, they got the legend Dakota Lamb @dlamb from Warsaw in exchange of a 1st, a 3rd and Sheldon Juniper @fyrefly. During the entire season, the first line was Jerome Reinhart @MexicanCow123, Jivere Zolnek @Sixersfan594 and Tyler Reinhart @Zetterberg and recorded 156 goals, 217 assists and 373 points in 72 games. Zolnek and T. Reinhart finished first and second in the league for the amount of points and for J. Reinhart, he finished seventh. As you can see this line just dominated the league, but they are not the only players on the team who did. In fact, nines players on the team had more than a point per game including three defensemen, R @Kylrad, Robin Galante Nilsson @RomanesEuntDomus and Jeffrey Pines. The starting goalie, Markus Emerson Jr @Xflexz completed the season with a record of 54 wins in 64 games with a save pourcentage of 0.928% and a goal against average of 2.87. The Captain of this S80 team was Emerson Jr and the two assistants were Jerome and Tyler Reinhart. S81 In S81, the Vancouver Wolves won the Victory Cup with 58 wins and 118 points in 72 games and the Continental Cup in 6 games again against the Moscow Menace. Now that their goalie and also their captain, Markus Emerson Jr retired, the Wolves needed to find another goalie and a new captain. Vancouver’s GM Nyko Nax @Nykonax only did one trade this season and traded a 2nd, a 3rd and a 4th in exchange of the goaltender Thadius Sales @thadthrasher who was going to play for the team unitl he retired in S82. The new goalie was found, but they still needed a captain and the team decided to name Henry Tucker @NSG as their new captain. Henry played his entire career with Vancouver from S77 to S83. Jerome and Tyler Reinhart remained as the two assistants captain. During the off-season, Vancouver signed an all-star player in Aloe Dear @Renomitsu for one year and 5,5M. With the addition of Dear, the second line was now also a very competitive one with Aberg @osens, Dear and Tucker. The line with the two Reinhart and Zolnek stayed untouched. Jeffrey Pines retired and Javad Kamkar @Parriyah9374 signed with the Helsinki Titans, so the Wolves needed a defenceman and Hari Singh Nalwa was ready to play in the big league. R, Robin Galante Nilsson and Corey Kitson who were all with the team in S80 were completing the defensive core. Again, the Vancouver Wolves dominated the regular season with eight of the ten players on the team had more than a point per game and six of them had more than a hundred points. Dear, Tucker, Jerome and Tyler Reinhart were all in the top ten for the most points in the regular season. S82 In S82, the Wolves won the Vicory Cup with 53 wins and 110 points in 72 games and again won the Continental Cup against the Moscow Menace and this time in only four little games. We can easily say that Moscow is the big loser of these three seasons as they made it to the final during all three of them, but lost them all. Vancouver wanted to upgrade their defense and they went to get Joe Madison @samx from Los Angeles in exchange of R, a 1st in S84 and a 2nd in S84. The three other defensemen stayed with the team. For the forwards core, other then Aloe Dear who retired after the S81 Cup and Ryan Li @Ryan Li who signed with the Wolves for S82 and S83, did not change. Just like the two previous season, the first line stayed together and Li completed the second line with Aberg and Tucker. The leadership group stayed the same, so Tucker kept the “C” and the Reinhart brothers kept the “A”s on their jerseys. Again, eight of the ten players on the team finished with more than a point per game and seven of them with more than ninety points. For the third season in a row, the line of Zolnek and the two Reinhart finished with more than 130 goals and 300 points. Thadius Sales, who stopped the pucks for the Wolves for the last two seasons, had an incredible season of 49 wins, a save pourcentage of 0.926% and a goal against average under 3.00 which is very good in this high scoring league. Fun fact : in the trade sending @samx's player (Joe Madison) to Los Angeles against R, a 1st and a 2nd, Los Angeles selected the next @samx’s player (Velociraptor Greg) with the 2nd round pick in S84, so both team gave @samx’s player and received an other one at the same time. Pretty cool right? Even if some people are saying that these three seasons are the worst the league ever saw and that we should just forget about it, but we can easily call this period of time the Wolves dynasty. 1015 words 18 july – 14 july 25 july - 31 july
  7. Thanks @Arce for the trade talk and a big big thank you @NJDevils24for the last 2 seasons with us, I know that it was not always easy, but you have been a great player and an even better captain for us. Good luck in Vasteras and in the VHL next year!!
  8. Happy Birthday VHL and FRREEEEEE TPPEEEEE!!!!
  9. Welcome everyone, This article will be a little bit different then the others one as we are not going to talk entirely about the Rome Gladiators, but more about the VHLE in general. As you know, there are two divisions in the VHLE that cut the league in two. The first one is called Victor Divison and has the Vasteras Iron Eagles, the Stockholm Vikings, the Cologne Express and the Oslo Express in it and the second one is called Acyd Divison and has the Istanbul Red Wolves, the Bratislava Watchmen, your Rome Gladiators and the Geneva Rush in it. Two teams in each divisions are making the playoffs, but it does not means that these four teams are necessarily the four best teams in the league. You probably already know where I am going with that, but WHAT IF there were not any divisions and all the eight teams were in the same group, division, conference, whatever you want to call it? The first team in the league would play against the fourth one and the second against the third and the winners would play against each other in the final. With that format we could really see the best teams of the league in the playoffs. By the way this is just my opinion no need to agree or disagree with me Thanks everyone, see you next week and let's go Gladiators!!!
  10. I will start by thanking @lidz for everything he did for the team and I wish him the best of luck in his future. Now Rome needs an AGM and here are the things you will need to do : -Be active in the locker room -do the press conference every week -help me with the team (trade, signing, lines, etc.) -and everything you think will help the team Hope to have you as my AGM!
  11. Welcome everyone, We are almost at the middle of the of the season and we are starting to see which team are going to be contenders to make the playoffs and win the Cup. Just like everyone expected, the Istanbul Red Wolves, the Bratislava Watchmen and the Vasteras Iron Eagles are all part of the top four in the league, but the Rome Gladiators are currently causing a big surprise by being the fourth in the league at the moment. However, because of the way the divisions are made, the Gladiators are not in a playoffs spot. If Rome, with 37 points in 34 games, wants to make the playoffs, they need to exceed in the standings the Red Wolves and the Watchmen who are respectively first and second in the league with 48 and 45 points in 34 games. The Geneva Rush are the other team in the Acyd divison and they are fifth in the league with 36 points in 34 games. So, all four teams in the Acyd division are in the top five of the league. The Rome Gladiators also acquired a new defensemen, Carson Hound @Ty343, a couple of days ago and he is expected to make his debut today or tomorrow with the team. Thanks everyone, see you next week and let's go Gladiators!!!
  12. Welcome everyone, The Rome Gladiators signed a new player, Alex TheGreat @Alex Thegreat, only a day after the season began. Alex played with Rome last season and scored 57 points in 72 games. The negotiation were long and hard between the clan TheGreat and the Gladiators, this is why he joined the team when the season was already started. This season is supposed to be another tough one for the Gladiators and the logic was respected in this beginning of the season. Rome has a record of 3 wins, 7 losses and 3 losses in overtime for a total of 9 points in 13 games. They are currently last in their conference and in the league, but with still 59 games in the regular season, everything is possible and with a better roster than last year, the Gladiators can cause a surprise and make the playoffs. Finally, congratulations to Justin Adolfsen @NJDevils24 who is currently tied in 3rd place for the most points in the league with 16 in 13 games. Thanks everyone, see you next week and let's go Gladiators!!!
  13. Welcome Everyone, The regular season in the VHLE started yesterday and the Rome Gladiators had zero defenceman in their roster and the season was going to be a long one again for the Gladiators. However, the team made the impossible and signed three defenceman who will play in the VHLE this season, creed@assassin6898, Trevor Wallace@LilHCorny and X Man@Xalen11. I want to wish them the best of luck with their new team and for the rest of their career even though creed and Trevor Wallace already said that it was going to be their last season. It was also time to name the captain and the assistants for this season. The captain of the S83 Rome Gladiators is Justin Adolfsen @NJDevils24 and the assistants are Russel Dixon @Rjdixon01 and Hasbulla Magomedov @Motzaburger. Congrats to all three of them and I hope they will lead the team to a great season. Thanks everyone, see you next week and let's go Gladiators!!!

  23. Welcome everyone, We are currently in the off-season and at 8 PM EST time, it was the S84 VHLE draft and the Rome Gladiators had the first overall pick. In the last couple of days, there were a lot of rumors about a possible trade concerning Rome's first round pick. A few hours before the draft, the Gladiators traded the S84 first overall pick to the Cologne Express with Freddy Freeze @G_Rush, the S85 VAS 4th and S84 ROM 6th in exchange of the S86 COL 2nd, the S84 VAS 3rd, DJ Fire Dragon @Firekiss and James Kagelberg @MatiasMa. After that trade, the Gladiators now had two third round picks and a fifth round pick. With the two third round pick, they selected two defenseman, John Poremba Jr @CrlineDijohn14 and Zach Whelan @DontCallMeCarson. With the first pick of the fifth round, Rome selected another defensemen in Carson Hound @Ty343. The three players are expected to take part in the upcoming traning camp of the Rome Gladiators. Thanks everyone, see you next week and let's go Gladiators!!! Here is the link of Rome's locker room for the new players : https://discord.gg/zND6ke5q Welcome and I hope to see you soon in the locker room!!
