Finally, I want to welcome our two new players, @Firekiss and @MatiasMa. Welcome to Rome, we are very happy to have you on the team. Here is Rome’s locker room link : https://discord.gg/xm6SwWHz

  3. The Rome Gladiators have made a free agency offer to Russel Dixon.
  4. Hello everyone, Welcome to the thirtieth chapter of Baby Bob's life story. In this life story we will talk about the life of Baby, when he was young, his thoughts and his impressions before the drafts, during the seasons and during the playoffs. Baby Bob will also respond to questions from the fans, from the GMs and from the leaders of the VHL, the VHLE and the VHLM. I know, I know and I am very very sorry guys. This has been a very long time since the last chapter of Baby Bob’s life and again, I am sorry, but I am here now. I could give you a lot of different excuses, but I don’t have to and I don’t want to lie to you all. In this chapter, we will do a recap of the entire S83 of Baby Bob and what happened in this very early off-season. We will also talk about Bob’s future in the VHL. After having more than 30 goals, 90 points and a differential of at least +30 in his first two season in the VHL with the Prague Phantoms, Baby Bob’s objectives were very high. Even though, he was only at his thirs season, Bob was starting to become a veteran in the locker room. He is a very good player and he knows how to show the way to his teammates. Even with all the expectations and the objectives, it was not an easy season for Baby Bob. With only 83 points in 72 games, it was the worst season in terms of points for him. This season was not all bad as he scored 39 goals, his personal best, and had a differential of plus/minus of 41. Bob also had an incredible amount of shots (520) and finished 9th for the most shots in the league. Baby Bob, who had some difficulties in the past playoffs, scored 6 goals and added 5 assists for a total of 11 points in 10 games. Even if the team did not make it too far in the playoffs, Bob can be proud of what he did in the playoffs. Yesterday, Baby Bob heard a big news that was going to change his career. He got traded. Baby Bob’s contract has only one year left and he was going to be free to go everywhere. Bob saw that the team was going no where after a couple of good season, so he decided to talk to Acyd @Acydburn, Prague’s GM, and he asked for a trade. Acyd agreed and Baby Bob got traded to the Chicago Phoenix in exchange for a S85 CHI 1st round pick. The Phoenix are a team getting out of a rebuild and are getting ready to compete in the playoffs. Here are Baby Bob’s comments about the trade : « The Phantoms are entering a rebuild and I don’t think that I would have been of any help on the team, so I decided to ask for a trade. I would like to thank the entire organization of the Phantoms Prague for the incredible last three years and I wish them the best of luck in the future. I am really excited to start playing with the Phoenix next season. » Thanks for reading and see you next week for more of the life story of Baby Bob. 558 words 13 june – 19 june
  5. Welcome everyone, The playoffs are finally over in the VHLM, the VHLE and the VHL. The off-season can finally take place and we will soon know the dates of the draft in each leagues and the beginning of the free agency. In this little article, I will talk about our new rookie, the left wing Hasbulla Magomedov @Motzaburger. He played last season in the VHLM with the Mexico City kings and the Ottawa Lynx after the trade deadline. With both teams, Hasbulla scored 24 goals and added 36 assists for a total of 60 points in 72 games. Magomedov made the playoffs with Ottawa and registered 2 goals and 3 points in 12 games. Rome's GM said he believes that Hasbulla Magomedov is going to be an important piece on the ice for the Gladiators. He also said that if Rome wants to be competitive next season, Hasbulla is going to need to have a great season. Thanks everyone, see you next week and let's go Gladiators!!!
  6. Welcome everyone, Today was game 5 of the final of the Renaissance Cup between the Bratislava Watchmen and the Vasteras Iron Eagles. The Watchmen were up 3-1 in the series and they won game 5 by the score of 3 to 1 and won the Cup. Two former players of the Rome Gladiators, @youloser1337 and @chikn were playing with the Bratislava Watchmen since the trade deadline. Both players helped Bratislava win the Cup and I really want to congratulate them and of course @FrostBeard and the Watchmen. The playoffs in the VHL and the VHLM are also coming to an end, so the off-season will start soon and the drafts too. The Gladiators are still trying to add some draft picks in the upcoming draft via trades, because as you know, Rome does not have a lot of defensemen right now, in fact they have none. I want to congratulate one last time the Watchmen for this season and thanks everyone, see you next week and let's go Gladiators!!!
  7. Welcome everyone, The regular season of the VHLE ended last week and the semi finals are already started. Unfortunately, the Rome Gladiators did not make the playoffs and they are currently waiting for the S84 draft. The first semi final is between the Vasteras Iron Eagles and the Cologne Express, Vasteras is currently winning 3-0 in a best of 7 series. In the other one, the Istanbul Red Wolves are leading the series 2-1 against the Bratislava Watchmen. Two former players of the Gladiators are playing with the Watchmen, Scoish Velociraptor Maloish @youloser1337 and Sock Monkey @chikn, and Rome wanted to wish them the best of luck in the playoffs. The Rome Gladiators currently only have two picks in the upcoming draft, but according to the GM and the AGM, Rome is looking to add some pick to their current amount. At the trade deadline, Rome traded their only defenseman, so the team is obviously trying to acquire some defensemen too. Thanks everyone, see you next week and let's go Gladiators!!!
  8. Welcome everyone, This week is theme week and we need to show some appreciation to the VHL members that mean something for us. I joined the VHL on April 20, 2021, so I am still a new member. However, I met a lot of very nice person in the last year and I will try to talk about each of them in this little article. Some are maybe not in the league anymore, but I will still talk about them. - @Advantage, I know that it is their job, but when I joined the league just after the trade deadline in S77, they were the first GM to contact me and answer my questions. We are not going to tell each other lies, for someone who never played in the VHL, it is a very very complicated game. At the time, Advantage was the GM of the Mexico City Kings and they answered every single question I had about the game. - @Zetterberg, My first draft ever was in the VHLM and the Mississauga Hounds selected me 28th overall in the S78 draft. Zetterberg was the GM at the time and I remember that he kept the locker room very active even though we were not having a really good season. - @Minion and @Otto Numminen, There probably a lot of other members, but they are the people I remember the most of my passage in the M. They were active, talking a lot in the locker room and it was nice having them in the team. - @InstantRockstar, I finally joined the VHLE in S80 with the Gladiators and Rockstar was the GM. He was always there and nice to all the players. He eventually gave me my first chance in a management position as the AGM of Rome. I will always be grateful to him for that, merci beaucoup. Since then, I never left Rome and it will always be a special team for me. - @rjfryman and @Acydburn, When Rockstar left for a better world at the end of the S82, the Gladiators were left with no GM and the two VHLE commishes chose me to do this incredible job. I really want to thank them for this oppotunity and I hope that you are happy of your choice. I also want to thank individually. Each monday, @rjfryman is dming every GM in the VHLE and is making sure that everything is good for everyone. Finally, @Acydburn, the GM of the Prague Phantoms, always there when you have questions and keeping the locker room very active. One of the most active locker room I have been in. Let’s goo Prague, we will get the Cup this year!! - I also want to show some appreciation to the other VHLE GM who welcomed me in this world. I probably forgot a lot of important members and I am really sorry for that, but I could not talk about everybody. I aslo want to thank the players of the Rome Gladiators. Even if this season was not easy, you were there and I can assure you that next season will be better.
  9. Welcome everyone, Wednesday the 25th, the season of the VHLE and the Rome Gladiators ended. Rome finished the season with a very bad record of 17 wins, 50 losses and 5 losses in overtime for a poor total of 39 points in 72 points. This is the second worst total of points in the entire history of the VHLE after the Geneva Rush in S81 (38 points). Just like the Gladiators this season, the S82 Oslo Storm also recorded 39 points during the season. I want to congratulate three players who played for the Gladiators the entire season and were without a doubt the best players of the team, Justin Adolfsen @NJDevils24, Charles Williams @Nosam_13and Freddy Freeze @G_Rush. I aslo want to mention the good end of the season of the trade deadline acquisition Minou Lambert @Minoulambert23. Now, Rome needs to focus on the upcoming draft and the off-season. Rome currently has the S84 ROM 1st and the S84 BRA 3rd in the upcoming draft. Thanks everyone, see you next week and let's go Gladiators!!!
  10. Game recap 534: The game was between the Warsaw Predators and the Helsinki Titans and the Titans won this very very important game 3-2. There is currently a big race between Prague, Warsaw, London and Helsinki for the 3rd, 4th, 5th and 6th place in the European Conference. There are only 3 points between the 3rd and 6th position and only 5 games until the end of the season. the games between these four teams will be very important and Helsinki won a very important one.
  11. Welcome everyone, Today at 3PM EST was the trade deadline and even if the Rome Gladiators are dead last in the league, they did not stay calm today. Indeed, two trades were completed between the Bratislava Watchmen and the Gladiators. First, the Gladiators acquired Manny Wilson @Jack Johnson and a S84 BRA 3rd for Rome's forward Sock Monkey @chikn. Wislon is currently playing in the VHLM with the Halifax 21st and is expected to join the Gladiators next season. Finally, the Gladiators acquired Minou Lambert @Minoulambert23and a S85 BRA 4th in exchange of Rome's only defencemen, Scoish Velociraptor Maloish @youloser1337. Scoish was goint to leave the team at the end of the season and seeing how the team is doing, the management did want to loose him for nothing. Minou Lambert is expected to join Rome in the next couple of days and finish the season with the team. Thanks everyone, see you next week and let's go Gladiators!!!
  12. Ahah thanks to you @FrostBeard and welcome in Rome @Minoulambert23. Good luck in Bratislava @youloser1337and go get that cup.
  13. Really happy to talk with you @FrostBeard. Good luck in Bratislava @chikn and welcome in Rome @Jack Johnson !!!!
  14. Welcome everyone, Yesterday we passed the middle of the season and the Rome Gladiators are currently sitting dead last in the league with 22 points in 38 games. With what we saw during the first half of the season, the Gladiators won't have a very season and they will much likely finish the season at the bottom of the standings. However, some players are doing very good even though the team is not. One of them is Justin Adolfsen @NJDevils24, he is one of the three assistants-captain and the best player of the team at the moment with 19 goals and 16 assists for a total of 35 points in 38 games. In addition, Adolfsen is currently tied in 5th place for the most goals in the league. Justin Adolfsen is still a rookie and will probably play another season with RomeWhere he will be an important part of the leadership group before going in the VHL. Thanks everyone, see you next week and let's go Gladiators!!!
  15. Welcome everyone, Last week we talked about the bad start of the season of the Gladiators. Well, we can't say that they are doing better this week. Indeed, after the first 10 games, the Rome Gladiators had 9 losses in a row. However, the team is starting to show something good as they won 3 games and lost one in over time in their last 5 games. With that streak, Rome is no longer in last place of the league and even if they are still at the bottom of the standings, we can see the team doing good in a near future. The team does not score a lot of goals, so they have to be really good defensively. With only one defencemen it can be difficult, but Rome's goalie is suprisingly doing very good. Freddy Freeze @G_Rush, has 7 wins in 24 games, a save percentage of 0.919 and an average of goal against of 3.24. In addition, two players, Alex TheGreat @Alex Thegreat and Justin Adolfsen @NJDevils24, are currently at 20 points since the beginning of the season. Thanks everyone, see you next week and let's go Gladiators!!!
  16. Game recap : 192 Malmo vs Moscow The Moscow Menace win by the score of 9 to 3 against the poor Malmo Nighthawks. The game was almost won before it even started. Indeed, Moscow is currently third in the entire league with 42 points in 25 games and Malmo is third if you start at the bottom of the standings. Duncan Idaho @OrbitingDeath , had an impressive game with a hat-trick and 3 passes for a total of six points in a single game.
  17. Welcome everyone, The 4th season of the VHLE's history started a couple of days ago and the last Renaissance's Cup champion, the Rome Gladiators are having a difficult start of the season. Indeed, after winning the Cup last season, we might have thought that the Gladiators would have a good season, but maybe the management have something else in their minds. Rome has now 4 wins, 5 losses and 1 loss in over time for a total of 9 points in 10 games. The Rome Gladiators are currently last in the league, but with only 2 points behind the Geneva Rush who are sitting in 4th place. Even with only one defenseman and a goalie, the team is doing pretty good defensively. Indeed, Scoish Velociraptor Maloish has 5 points in 10 games and has a differential of 0. Additionally, Freddy Freeze has a save pourcentage of 0.929% and a goal against average of 2.75. Thanks everyone, see you next week and let's go Gladiators!!!
  18. Welcome everyone, A couple of weeks ago, the latest GM of the Gladiators, @InstantRockstar, left Rome and I was name the new GM a couple of days after. I decided to wait before naming a new AGM, because I wanted to learn and be sure that I was confortable with everything new. Last week, I started to search for an AGM and 9 persons reached out to me for the job. The decision was really not easy, but I had to make a decison and @lidzwas the obvious choice. Indeed, I did my research and lidz is very active on discord AND on the forum. Lidz officialy joined the locker room today and I hope he will be a big part of it as of right now. The season is starting in a couple of days and a new era of the Rome Gladiators at the moment. I am glad to be a part of it and I hope that it will last for a long time. Thanks everyone, see you next week and let's go Gladiators!!!
  19. Hey, First of all, I want to thank everyone who applied for the job, the choice wasn’t easy, but I needed to make a decision. Without further ado, Rome’s new AGM is : Congratulations for the job, I am really excited to work with you.
