Do you believe that this team can make Cup run as is? 2. How do you feel about the Babcock situation? 3. Should we have made a trade for the future or was sticking with what we have now the right decision. 4. What model of stick, skates, gloves and helmet does your player use/wear? 5. What is an interesting activity that you do regularly? 6. Would you be interested joining in a team wideYahoo Fantasy Hockey league if I ran it?
  6. 1. Ideally you want both. Needs can change especially within the season or two its takes for prospect to develop grabbing the best player is the better guiding principle. 2. The fantasy hockey league is a great place to start. I believe that it will pick up when we are contenders again. 3. He shoots right with a Bauer Vapor Hyperlite 2. 4. The National Alzheimer's Association. I lost grandparents from both sides of my family. A cure will help so many people. 5. Surprisingly enought, baseball. Shubham Anand was going to go pro in cricket and those abilities are translatable to baseball. 6. I have not. I have tried distance running before. I am more of a sprinter.
  7. Glad you are back. Good luck with your player? What did Ruutu say?
  8. Good luck with you character.

  10. I am ready for recreates.

  11. I have told this story one too many times. But I shall do so again mainly because it fits the theme week so perfectly. Draft day is suppose to be a happy time where you celebrate a new beginning especially if you know for sure that that you will be apart of the the leage you are being selected for the coming season. That would no be the case for Shubham Anand in the S89 VHLE Entry Draft. The snub would be the starting point for a wild story still being written today. Going into the S89 VHLE Draft, Shubham Anand had a lot to feel good about. The Indian winger finished a fantastic rookie season in the VHLM with the San Diego Marlins and was recently drafted in the first round by the Calgary Wranglers. Despite little to no communication from ant VHLE team management, Shubham believed himself to be a late first or early second round pick in the then eight team league. Looking back, the fact that a star player soon to be in the leage was largely ignored should have been sign to come. Because after the first and second rounds passed, Shubham Anand was still waiting for his name to be called. It wouldn't be until the 21st pick, the middle of the third round, that Shubham's long wait would be over. To show how bad of a snub this actually is take for example Joseph Reed. The Saskatoon netminder was selected 16th pick in the same draft. He has yet to play a game in the VHLE. That is likely to change next season, but it is still not the immediate production Shubham has brought to the E. Needless to say the collective vote of no confidence in his hockey skill made made the normally calm man angry. His Hello Europe article reads more like a threat than an introduction. Adding to his misery, he was selected by the Vasteras Iron Eagles, a sinking ship of a franchise just trying to stay afloat. At least he would play with fellow Marlin and Wranglers prospect Fradin McGryer. And he would for four games before McGryer was traded to the Geneva Rush with no warning. This trade, the tough adjustment to life in Sweden, and the consistent losses would erode Shubham's relationship with Iron Eagles' management, until close to the S89 Trade Deadline, Shubham would himself be traded to the Geneva Rush. Admittedly he would produce the same number of points for both teams that season, but for the first time as a player in the VHLE, Shubham felt good. He even decided to stay with the Rush for the next season. But near the end of S89, the league made an announcement that would make everyone question whether or not Shubham would keep his word and stay in the E for one season more or be called up to a rebuilding Wranglers team. The VHLE would be going through a long needed reduction down to six teams. The Iron Eagles team that had struggled to survive was finally put out of it's misery. Two other clubs would relocate and rebrand to replace the fallen franchises. And guess who the Geneva Rush was slated to replace. Remarkably, Shubham would keep his word and would become the captain of of the reborn Iron Eagles. In spite of everything that has happened, the Iron Eagles fans would respond with a standing ovation on Opening Night. Now the joke in on the VHLE. The Iron Eagles are easily the best team in the E and Shubham Anand is the favorite to lift the Renaissance Cup this season. It took time and effort to turn a brutal snub into stunning success.
  12. It is looking more likely that a part 2 is comming. First must finish my current article.
  13. Good to see a PBE user come to the VHL.

  15. 1. About what is expected for a rebuild. Just need more time. 2. We should be somewhat better next season. Maybe even a borderline playoff team. 3. Thor Reingaard is the top player in the draft class. Both Moths are also really good. And Red Panda is the top goaltender in the class. 4. Try to aquire picks and young players. 5. A beautiful mutt named Duncan. 6. I really can't say. Every season has it's pros and cons.
  16. Halifax 21st Press Conference Answer 3 Questions for 1 Capped TPE Answer 6 Questions for 2 Capped TPE For Week Ending on September 10, 2023 1. We have finally hit some winning form. How critical has finding a goaltender has been to our season? 2. Who has been the best foward so far in the season? 3. Who has shown the most toughness out of anyone on the team? 4. Who in the VHLm has surprised you the most? 5. How do you feel about some of the changes the Board of Governors have discussed? 6. How did you enjoy your Labor Day weekend?
  17. 1. Ideally every team can compete and have a chance at a championship. However not every team can compete every season. The process of loosing today to win tomorrow only works if you hit on your draft picks. 2. Steve Lattimer is second for the team in points. That is good for his TPE. 3. Gavin Rozzdale has only produced 3 points. Not a noted point producer but still. 4. Rip Wheeler has been absolutely destroying people out there. He is going to have so many hits this season. 5. I don't really have a set show on the weekends. Just watch whatever sports are on with naps and the occasional YouTube video. 6. Statically they are a possibility. Practically the distance between life is so vast no modern technology can connect us.
  18. Welcome. If you need anything let us know. Have fun and good luck

  21. Returning to a place you had a bad time can be difficult. But for captain Shubham Anand, returning to the city and team he struggled hard in both on and off the ice has gone better that anyone could have guessed. The right winger from India has started producing points consistently and off the ice has adapted to the role of team leader. Here is how Shubham is doing in his return to Vasteras. To say that things started off on the wrong foot in the VHLE is a gross understatement. Falling to the late 3rd round in a four round draft already made Shubham upset at the GMs who he felt slighted him. It didn't help that the Vasteras Iron Eagles of this time were a non-competive disorganized mess of a franchise. The problems on the ice made setting in and getting used to living in a new strange place difficult. It all eventually came to a head and thirty-seven games in the season Shubham was traded to the Geneva Rush. Everything would be better for him in the thirty-four remains games and he decided to stay in the E for the next season with his loyalty being awarded with the C patch on his jersey next season. In the offseason, however, the nessary contraction of the E would cause the Rush to replace the failing Iron Eagles leaving Shubham in an unusual and awkward predicament. Vasteras locals have heralded Shubham as a prodigal son who has come back to lead the Iron Eagles back to glory. He has accepted this role and has done fantastic work being an ambassador for the team, leading charity drives throughout the town, having a positive impact on the community. He has learned Swedish to better interact with fans and media and help in this ambassadorial role. Many of the rookies have looked up to Shubham and he has helped them with situations on and off the ice. While the team may be disappointed with the inconsistent start, but one thing that has been consistent has been Shubham. In this young season of eighteen games, he is above a point per game with five goals and fourteen assist. That number of assist is more than the number he had with either team last season. He is also one point away from tying his point total with both teams last season. Needless to say a calmer, more settled Shubham is a dangerous Shubham. If this keeps up he will be the legend that the fans have hyped him to be. A return to the place where you hade a hard time can be difficult. The trauma of the situation can leave you jaded, bitter and fill you with a desire to just move on and forget. Not only has Shubham Anand return to that place, but he has done so much work in his return on and off the ice that it overshadows everything that has come before. It is a remarkable thing to see. Perhaps he can lead the Iron Eagles to the glories of a championship. Shubham Anand is certainly leading like a champion.
