Review: I love that you try something new and made a visual effort to create something good. I really like the fonts you used, but it is a bit 'boring' just being at the bottom and not formatted in any way. I also like that you made the effort and got rid of the NHL branding on the collar and even added the VHLE logo instead. The only issue I have with the latter is that it takes the place where normally the 'C' or 'A' are. 7/10

Swiss Central Gazzette (Marcel's stats/Daniel's stats) The new season is in full swing with the Brothers' respective franchises role in their league switched around: Vasteras is a realistic contender, while Calgary has only outside chances to make the post season. Their clubs played two games each and here are the respective summaries: 3-2 The Iron Eagles faced their Western Brethren in a 3-2 win. Oslo scored the only goal in the first period in power play. The second period was a 1-1 draw with Bridgers scoring for the Vasteras. Early in the third, Snakehole tied the game and Elsby scored the game winner half way through the period. Elsby (1g/1a), Vladovechsenkchushkin (0g/1a) and Snakehole (1g/0a) were named three stars of the game. Gaming (.929) out classed Kennedy (.897) in the goalie duel. Vasteras' power play was nothing to write home about (0/1) and their penalty kill was rather lack luster (5/7). Marcel was noted with 0g, 1a, +2, 2 PIM (Hooking, no effect on the score), 2 hits and 1sb. 0-3 In the second match the Swedes met the Swiss from Geneva in a clash of the neutral countries. Geneve decided to not follow their own convention and showed no mercy in their 3-0 win. The Rush distributed their goals evenly amongst the three periods. The three stars went to Wilson (51 saves), Dokis (1g/1a) and Chicoine (1g/1a). Wilson's hard earned shutout overshadowed Gaming's decent performance (.906). Despite nine! opportunities in power play, Vasteras did not manage to score a goal and allowed one goal on the three times they were a man down. Marcel recorded 0g, 0a, +0, 2 PIM (Hooking, lead to a goal against), 2 hits and 1sb. 2-1 In a game dominated by the defensive rows of either team, the Wranglers faced the Legion. Atreides with a brace in the second period bagged the points for his team. Kotkakoivu with a late-ish goal in the first brought some hope back, but it was not to be, and Calgary had to strike the colours. Atreides (2g/0a), Peace (0g/2a) and Dahl (43 saves) were awarded the three stars of the night. The latter stood on his head to give the Wranglers a fighting chance (.956) and was slightly better than Lindbergh (.952), alas to no avail. Calgary's power play was once again a matter of concern for Ricer (0/2) while at least the penalty kill seems to work out quite well (5/5). Daniel had 0g, 0a, +0, 1 hit, 1sb and 68.18 FO% to his name. 2-3 The second game was against Chicago, where the Wranglers lost a tight game 3-2. The Phoenix scored two early goals in the first, but Creed with their first goal for the Wranglers and GoodBrandSun tied the game in the second. Chicago scored in power play with less than a minute left in the game, which was obviously not enough time for the Canadians to react anymore. The Phoenix knew to thank van Giersbergen (.947) who kept them in the game, whereas Dahl did not have his best night in a Wranglers uniform (.870). The three stars were GoodBrandSun (1g/0a), Skates (2g/0a) and Van Giersbergen (36 saves). Once more the Wranglers' power play was disappointing (0/3) while their box play was decent (4/5). Daniel logged 0g, 0a, +1, 1 hit, 1sb and 53.33% efficiency at the hash marks. 2-6 The Wranglers entered the game against the Vancouver Wolves with the firm intention to redeem themselves after the couple of close losses they suffered recently. This plan lasted until Tucker decided to have the game of his live and score four consecutive goals (five in total in this game) in less than six minutes in the first period. That is all she wrote. The Wranglers fought an uphill battle after nine minutes into the game and this early handicap proved too much to handle for the Albertan team. Kotkakoivu scored for the Wranglers but they never had a fighting chance this evening and had to tuck tail. To absolutely no-one's surprise, all the places of honour went to Wolves with (shock!) Tucker leading the charge (5g/1a), flanked by Nilsson (0g/2a) and Zolnek (0g/2a). Poor Dahl (.824) had one of his worst nights ever against Fuhr (.952). Calgary's power play was once more inexistent (0/1) and their penalty kill for a change (and to add insult to injury) abysmal (3/5). Daniel had 0g, 0a, -1, 2 hits, 1sb and 66.67 FO%. Swiss Central Gazzette (Marcel's stats/Daniel's stats) Please find here without any further delay part two of our game reviews, this time for the VHL. 2-5 The opening match for the Wranglers' season was against an also rebuilding New York team. Calgary dominated the game for the most part and got a 5-2 out of it for their efforts. Johnson opened the proceedings with the first Wrangler goal of the saison (is he allowed to do that?). Sixteen minutes later, Johnson hoovered up a lost puck and passed it to Janser, who one-timed it under the bar and lit it up for the first time this season. The Americans cut the lead by one before the horn. In the second period John Doe scored for the Albertan team, before the Dynamic Duo struck again. Johnson dug out his own missed shot from the corner and tried to score from an impossible angle, but Janser in front of the net displayed incredible hand/eye coordination and deflected the biscuit at point blank range, to leave former Calgary netminder Vaughn no chance to block the shot. In the third period, Kotkakoivu bagged a goal of his own for Calgary to take the win. The three stars were given to Johnson (1g/2a), Kotkakoivu (1g/1a) and Janser (2g/0a). Honourable mentions go out to rookie GoodBrandSun who scored two apples in his first game. If rookie Dahl in net for the Wranglers was nervous, he hid it well behind his incredible .946 saving percentage, clearly out stripping Vaughn's .891. Calgary's powerplay has still room for improvement (0/3), while their penalty kill has worked to perfection this night (3/3) Daniel logged a 2g, 0a, +1, 2 PIM (Holding, no effect on the score), 1sb and 66.67% of face-offs won 1-5 In their second game, the Albertan team faced the DC Dragons in a clear 5-1 loss. DC took the lead early in the first in a one man advantage. Before the intermission, Kotkakoivu tied the game. Unfortunately, that was it from the scoring department for the Wranglers. With one goal in the second and three goals in the third scored against them, Calgary proved to be no match for the Dragons in this encounter. Lavelle (2g/0a), Utonium (39 saves) and Kitson (1g/2a) were named the three stars of the match. The DC netminder (.975) outperformed Dahl (.881)by quite a margin. The Calgary power play was a no show (0/3) while this time the penalty killing left much to be desired (5/7). Daniel finished the game with a 0g, 0a, +0, 1 hit and a 59.09% success rate at the draw. 2-5 In their third encounter the Wranglers had to face the battlehardened veterans from Seattle in a 5-2 loss. Kotkakoivu opened the score after four minutes. Apparently this had the effect of poking a hibernating bear with a very short stick. The Bears reacted with fury and scored five consecutive goals, four of them before the period's end. Kotkakoivu then found the back of the net in the third for some damage control, but there was not enough time (and fight?) left to turn this game around. For the three stars the panel elected Petrenko (1g/2a), Williams (2g/0a) and Meridius (1g/1a). While Dahl's (.909) performance was decent, it was overshadowed by Flex' (.931). The special teams seem to be some sort of sore spot for the Wranglers as the power play was again inexistent (0/5), while the box play was ok (3/4). Daniel had 0g, 0a, +0, 1 hit and 41.18% successrate at the hash marks. 2-4 For the fourth match, the league decided to serve the last season's champion the Vancouver Wolves. Calgary dispatched of them in a 4-2 win. The Wolves took an early lead, winning the first period with two of their goals against Lazeski's first of the season. Johnson took it upon himself to score the equalizer in the second period. In the third, it was Lazeski who brought the Wranglers in front, and with 10 seconds left, Johnson delivered the Coup de Grace in the empty net. Lazeski (2g/0a), Johnson (2g/0a) and Kotkakoivu (0g/4a) were named three stars of the night. Fuhr (.893) in Vancouver's net was outclassed by Dahl (.949). Again, the power play proved to be inefficient (0/2), while the penalty kill allowed nothing (3/3). Ricer is well advised to look into the game with a man advantage, if this weakness should not bite the Wranglers in their ass in the long run. It is now 13 penalties and counting where nothing tangible materialized. Daniel was recorded with 0g, 0a, -1, 1sb and 63.64% win rate at the face off. 2-3 The fifth game was a rematch of last years seven games series against LA. This time the Wranglers had the better end for them in a 3-2 win. The first period was by for the most eventful with both teams scoring a brace each. Johnson and GoodBrandSun with his first VHL goal were responsible for the production on Calgary's side. In the second period, it was veteran winger Johnson again who scored the game winner for his colours. For the three stars Johnson (2g/1a), Kotkakoivu (0g/3a) and GoodBrandSun (1g/1a) were chosen. Dahl was given a rest day and Blazevicius (.935) played instead and showed Tot (.925) who is boss. This time the power play was one for one and the box play two for two. Daniel had 0g, 0a, +0 and 69.23% success rate on the hash marks. 2-3 In this revenge game it was the Bears who woke up a sleeping giant. Contrary to the Wranglers, they still managed to win this tight match 3-2. The first period went 2-0 to Seattle. In the second Lazeski was the only goal scorer. During the final period, Seattle extended the lead before Janser scored on power play with 43 seconds left on the clock. Kotkakoivu wins the face-off in Seattle's zone, the puck comes straight to Janser who one-times it into the net, to give the Wranglers a sliver of hope. Detroit did not even get his button on the bench in the sin bin as it took the Calgary team two seconds to convert this penalty. Unfortunately, time ran out and the Wranglers were not able to tie the game. Chara (1g/2a), Petrenko (1g/2a) and Janser (1g/1a) were awarded the three stars of the night. Dahl (.935) stood on their head to give their team a fighting chance and even though he won the battle of goalkeepers against Flex (.923), it was sadly not enough to steal any points. The power play was okay with 1/4 and the penalty kill was good with 8/10. Daniel skated into the sunset with 1g, 1a, +1, 2 PIM (Goalie interference, no goal scored during the ensuing penalty), 3 hits and 47.06% success at the face-off. Calgary is seated fifth in the NA-conference, ahead of last season's conference finalists Vancouver and LA. Swiss Central Gazzette (Marcel's stats/Daniel's stats) The regular season in the VHLE as well as the VHL has started since we last reported on our two rising stars in the VHL sky. So without further ado, we will jump right into our game reviews, starting with Marcel and his Iron Eagles. 1-2 In the very tight opening match of the season Vasteras beat Cologne 2-1. Elsby opened the score early in the first for an early Eagles lead. Chang in the second period extended that lead by one during a power play situation. Cologne then scored mid-way trough the third, but was not able to tie the game, despite considerable efforts from their side. The three stars were Gaming (33 saves), Bridgers (0g/2a) and Elsby (1g/0a). Gaming had a superhuman night with .971 saving rate but also Protagonist showed a very good game with .943. Vasteras' powerplay was ok (1/5), their boxplay immaculate (6/6). Marcel left the ice with 0g, 0a, +1, 2 PIM (Tripping, obviously no consequences to the score) and 1 hit. 5-1 The second match was a more onesided affair, with the better end for Vasteras in the derby against Stockholm. The Eagles soared away with a 5-1 win. Retoslav brought his colours on the scoreboard first in the second half otf the first period. Janser, with 18 seconds into the second period, converted one of the two concurrent penalties running against Stockholm (Duk and Monster were sent into the sin bin in short succession). Snakehole carries the puck into the Stockholm zone and fires a shot, which is blocked by Jp, Vladovechsenkchushkin picks up the lose puck and gives it a try himself, but Parise parries at first, only to see the biscuit land on Marcel's blade. The young Swiss does not hesitate a second and buries it. Snakehole converted the second penalty only 38 seconds later. Leandro Gonçalves scored his first goal in the VHLE in yet another power play. Snakehole digs out the lose puck and passes it to the Portuguese Wonderkind, he just engages the turbo boost and runs circles around the Stockholm defence and finally buries the puck in the five hole. Marcel secured the puck as a souvenir for his now and future teammate, as both players' rights lie with the Wranglers. Elsby scored on even strength before the second intermission. The Vikings then scored a power play goal on their own, but it was too little, too late and they had to concede the game. Snakehole (1g/2a), Gonçalves (1g/1a) and Gaming (25 saves) were awarded the three stars of the night. The latter had a .962 saving rate putting Parise's not too shabby .902 to shame. The Eagles power play was strong in this game with three of eight converted (within the span of 1:53 minutes), their box play was okay-ish with three of four being successfully killed. Marcel's stats for this match was 1g, 0a, +1, 1 hit and 3sb 3-2 (SO) In the rematch against the German VHLE franchise, the Eagles ran out of steam and lost 3-2 after shootout. The first period came and went without a goal being scored despite ten attempts by either team. Cologne then scored the only goal in the second in power play, before Vasteras had two consecutive goals in the third by Young and Bridgers. Alas, the lead would not last long and Cologne equalized the game with more than five minutes to spare. The sudden death proved to be neither sudden nor deadly and so the teams had to flip a coin ressort to shoot out to find a winner in this hard fought match, with the bitter end for the Eagles. The three stars were awarded to Young (1g/0a), Ranogajec (2g/0a) and Protagonist (30 saves). This time Gaming (.926) was beaten by Protagonist (.938) in net. The special teams' performance decided the game. Power play was nought in four and box play was one in two, neither of which is something to write home about. Marcel was logged with 0g, 0a, -1, 1 hit and 1sb 1-2 In the fourth encounter the Eagles faced a retooling Rome team and had a tight 2-1 win. Vladovechsenkchushkin brought the lead to the Swedes, but same was countered by Rome's equalizer still before the first intermission. Early in the third, the Russian copied his first period effort and this time the Italian team had no reply. Vladovechsenkchushkin (2g/0a), Elsby (0g/2a) and Freeze (44 saves) were named the three stars of the night. Gaming's .950 saving rate was overshadowed by Freeze's (.957) Herculean effort to keep his team in the fight for as long as they were. With 46 vs 20 shots they had no business of competing for the win for the majority of the game, and yet they did, carried screaming and kicking by their netminder. Vasteras could not profit from the penalties (0/6) but also killed of all the penalties awarded against them (2/2) Marcel ended the match with 0g, 1a, +1, 2 PIM (Hooking, no effect on the score) and 2 hits. 2-3 In the fifth game the Eagles faced the depleted Storm in a 3-2 loss. Bridgers put Vasteras on the board first, but their efforts were cancelled by two consecutive power play goals by the Norwegian team. In the second period it was Bridgers again who scored on even strength to tie the game. Alas, midway through the third Oslo scored again, and Vasteras had no reply to this game winner anymore. For the tree stars, Bridgers (2g/0a), Powers (1g/2a) and Thunder (2g/0a) were nominated. Gaming (.900) had to concede to Kennedy (.931) in the battle between the pipes. Vasteras' power play was inexistent (0/2) and their box play mediocre at best (5/7). Marcel had 0g, 1a, +2, 4 PIM (High sticking and Tripping, no influence on the score) and 2 hits to his name. 4-3 (SO) In the sixth match up, the Eagles were facing Bratislava in a tight 4-3 shoot out loss. The Watchmen took an early lead in the first and added another goal in the second period. Just at the start of a power play, Gaming passes the dumped puck to Gonçalves, to Snakehole to Bridges to Vladovechsenkchushkin who shoots but sees his shot blocked by Voss, however Janser picks it up and buries it topshelf. Janser's goal is followed by a goal from Elsby to tie the game in the second period. In the third, Snakehole brings the Eagles in front for the first time, but Vasteras cannot bring the lead across the goal line and suffer an equalizer. Since the overtime did not bring a decision, it was time for the shoot out, which was won be Beardislava. The three stars of the game were Voss (1g/2a), Dynamite (2g/0a) and Buzzer (0g/1a). The duel in net was clearly won by Chiester (.919) over Gaming (.870). Vasteras' power play was good (1/3) and their penalty kill immaculate (3/3). Marcel went home with a 1g, 0a, -1, 3 hits and 1sb record. Vasteras sits at the fouth seed at the moment with three wins and only one regulation loss. Not going to reveal much here right now, just wanted to give my two cents on the appartement thingy. I would say location is paramount. If it is conveniently located in the vicinity of where you need to be on a daily basis (Uni?) you can save on transportation/fuel and normally also grocery stores are nearby which is a convenience (and again saves you fuel/transportation). Of course this normally comes at a premium and I am sure you as an engineer(?) can figure out, which of the two costs are lower. It also depends on personal preference... normally 'centrally located' is tantamount to 'noisy' and 'populated'. So if you value your privacy/moments of silence more than hard cash, the suburbs may fit your bill better than a conveniently located bachelor pad smack in the middle of all the hubub...

I think we can get 5th in the conference and go into the Wild Card games... 6. There are ten players with more hits than Parechkin? beside from that with the new Hybrid it is very difficult to get Checking as high to warrant high hit numbers...
