    S89 Vancouver Wolves Season Awards
Getting a bit of a head start this season since I delayed last year and it took much longer to actually collect the data than expected. With Vancouver Wolves already heading for the Continental Cup Finals against HC Davos. What better way than to look back and celebrate the season up until this point by handing out the Vancouver Wolves awards. So, let’s get things started…..

    Best Defenseman:
Really this has been a two-horse race all season with a back-and-forth friendly rivalry between Brain Payne @Scurvy and Pierre Emile Bouchard @Gaikoku-hito but one shouldn`t overlook the importance that Reinhard von Kongming @Kylrad played in supporting these two stud defenders. Between Payne and Bouchard, there really wasn`t much to choose from since Payne had 16g-68a for 84pts with 183PIM, 261 hits, 159SB and 3GW. While Bouchard had very similar stats with 18g-63a for 83pts with 126PIM, 209hits, 182SB and 3GW. So, who wins the Best Defenseman award?

    Unsung Hero:
This is always a hard one to actually award since every year we have a few different players that could walk away with this award. We have Nico Pearce @Spartan and Brain Payne @Scurvy both bring great energy into the team both on and off the ice, Wann Kerr @VattghernCZ finding his stride on and off the ice with a sneaky 38 goals this season and Henry Eagles @Greg_Di putting up solid numbers but also leading the team in game winners. So, who is the lucky winner of the Unsung Hero Award…….

    Most Energetic:
This season has seen the Wolves locker room bouncing with new additions in Nico Pearce @Spartan and Brain Payne @Scurvy providing voice to experience in the lock room while other players continue to have a strong presence as well. So, who will claim the Most Energetic award?

    Most Valuable player:
This award gets hard and hard to handout. Last season we had a two headed race with Henry Eagles @Greg_Di and Dogwood Maple @dogwoodmaple, with Maple taking home the award. This season isn`t any easier as you have the duo of Payne @Scurvy and Bouchard @Gaikoku-hito on defence, Maple and Pearce @Spartan on forward and a breakout season from Kerr. Let also not forget another strong season in the net from Brandt Fuhr @Tate, but who was the MVP of the Vancouver Wolves this season?

    Final Thoughts:

The start of the season didn`t really get off to the way that we expected but fast forward 72 games and two rounds of the play-off; what a change!! We have a chance to close out a very good season and grab the Cup for the second time in only a few seasons. Either way it has been a great season of growth, understanding and one I don`t think I will forget regardless of the outcome in the finals. Congratulation Wolves on a great season and Good Luck in the Finals!!

Sadly, we also say good Bye to our MVP, Captain at heart in Nico Pearce, who will retire after the finals. It has been a pleasure having you part of this team once again and hopefully we can send you out on top as all players want. You have been a great Wolf and it has been our honor to have you part of our team!!

Tate got a reaction from VattghernCZ in Brandt Fuhr - Veteran Presence
Brandt Fuhr had been made aware that he was wanted in the press conference room to discuss his veteran role on the team.  Veteran role?  He wondered what that meant, these humans were so odd in their ways and customs and although Brandt had moderately adjusted – he still felt like he was living on another planet, and well the truth was that he... er… was.

The living being that was housed inside Fuhr’s frame was an alien in every word, and not at all human – but one that had enough intelligence to understand how to maintain his everyday ruse.  It was critical that he was not caught and allowed to continue his mission to study the Stone of Enchantment and unlock its powers for his own.  It wouldn’t be enough to take this planet, Fuhr would capture the galaxy that encompassed it and continue from there until the entire universe was under his control.  Sure, it was lofty expectations, but that was the sort of power one could gain from the stone… if only he could unlock it.

The path to doing so had alluded him until now and he wondered if the gift the stone could grant was beyond his abilities, what if he wasn’t the chosen one?  What if his successful theft of the stone was like any other in the past… doomed to fail?  But no!  He mustn’t think that way!  For he is the chosen one, destined to rule all galaxies!!!!

“Mr. Fuhr?”  A voice called to him from behind, and a completely nude Brandt Fuhr turned to see an assistant from the Vancouver Wolves standing in the doorway to the Wolves dressing room.

“Yes?”  Fuhr answered without reacting to the fact that the Wolves assistant was clearly eyeing him up and down.

“They’re ready for you…”  The assistant told him.

“Very well,” Fuhr said has he strutted forward.

“Uhm, Mr. Fuhr?” The assistant seemed to block the dressing room door, looking concerned as Fuhr approached him.

“What is the matter?” Fuhr asked, confused.

“Would you mind putting some pants on?” The assistant asked as he motioned to Fuhr’s nude body.

“What!?” Fuhr remarked, “You do not approve of my magnificent figure?!?”

“I do, sir,” The assistant said with a hint of genuine honesty, “It’s just that it is not appropriate to be nude on camera.”

“Very well,” Fuhr huffed, “You humans are confusing.”  Fuhr looked around and donned the first jock strap he could find and strolled into the press conference room, both stunning the audience of reporters and also forcing looks of admiration at his Greek, Godlike, body.

“I am here now!” Fuhr yelled into the microphone with his mouth about an inch away from it, “Ask me your questions!”

“Brandt, what does it feel like to be a veteran on the team?”

“A veteran!? What is this word?”

    “Uh… a senior leader… an experienced member.”

“Ah yes!” Fuhr yells out, “It feels good! Thanks!”

“Brandt, how does it feel different than being a rookie?”

“Cookie!?  Where!?  I am very hungry.” Fuhr stands up and the room gasps and marvels at his nearly naked frame. “You lie!” Fuhr calls out as he points at the reporter, “There are no cookies here!”

    “I said rookie, Brandt.”

“I know not what you mean, fool!” Fuhr is noticeably angry, “And the next time you mention cookies you bring cookies to me, understand?”

    The reporter nods.

“I am done now,” Fuhr said as he stood, “I make many plans now to rule the galaxy. Soon, all of you will be my slaves and only the best cookie makers will rule this world!! So start cooking fools!! HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA”

Fuhr exited the room while everyone stood in silence, until somewhere in the ground a reporter was heard saying, “Did you see the pecks on that guy?”

I don’t know about you guys, but the news that the VHL is 16 years old really blew my hair back. That’s a long time for fellas to gather around a pretend hockey league, and I love that. It speaks to the power of community, and specifically this community. You guys are great. In honor of all of you and in honor of the VHL’s 16th birthday, I’m giving out 16 shoutouts to users who help make the league amazing.

@JardyB10 – Starting off strong with the influential legend himself. Jardy my dude, your podcasting skills are unmatched. Truly something to behold. I sincerely BjorkBjorn breaks their ankles in Europe and is forced to retire early just so you have an excuse to make more content. The people demand it, Jardy. I know your adult life driving on rural roads and heating minerals is thrilling and wonderful, but you can do both. You can do it all.

@MubbleFubbles – our first interaction was me asking you to be my co-gm in the OST for Team Royals, when Team Clue was an option and your player was TBGCOS. I had no idea that’s who your player was, and I’m glad that I made that faux pas because you’re a cool dude and I enjoyed learning about GMing from you. It’s a fond memory from my early times here. Your podcasts are always enjoyable and insightful, too. Top marks all around.

@Lemorse7– No one in the VHL thought to ask if we needed more red pandas around until you got here and made it clear that the league needs at least one red panda around all the time. You’re a true discord amigo. I don’t even think we’ve played on the same team before, and that’s beautiful to me.

@Thunder – My favorite shark in the league by far. So glad I got to spend some time hanging in the locker room with you. I really appreciate being included in your media spots and stuff – nothing delights me more than getting a ping from one of your articles.

@JB123 – Oslo’s best GM ever, hands down. Your welcoming attitude when I came on as AGM was really reassuring. Thanks for all the good that you bring to the VHL.

@Enorama – Eno! You got Baxter Arcanum a cup! D.C. is legendary (in my mind) and it’s all thanks to you. From the dog pics to the gallery wall to the book discussions, I ate up every bit of that locker room. Somehow you filled it with delicious culture, and I’m sure it wasn’t easy. You’re a master of your craft.

@FrostBeard – Third in the shoutouts in terms of my former GMs, but #1 in my heart. Bees and streaming, what more could we ask for?

@Grape – Thanks for keeping Ottawa competitive this season. We’ve had some struggles with bad luck and OTLs, but spirits are high and we all appreciate the effort that you’re putting in to lead the team.

@thadthrasher – Thad, you’re the moral compass that this league needs. Or really you’re just a generally good person who cares, and those are rare qualities. I encourage you to continue being great.

@samx – You do too much. You’re in all the discords. You might be AI. In spite of all that, you’re a really important part of the community. VHL wouldn’t be the same without you talking about how much you don’t want to be around the children under your care.

@Berocka – Berocka for Elmebeck. Every season. All of the work you do for the league is valuable. I love Super Coach! I also love Bite Sized Berocka. Bonus shout out to your kiwi friend Buruku. You’re lighthearted and positive and that provides good balance to some of the gloomier figures in the league.

@dasboot – I’m sorry I missed the heyday of you and Berocka doing VHLN Australia, but I’ve listened through a lot of the backlog in the last year or so. You make a great teammate in the Lynx LR, and I hope we get a chance to play together again in the bigs.

@Spartan – When I think of forum activity, I think of you. You’re always approving my updates, which is much appreciated. You also tend to be one of the first people to react or comment on my content, which is super cool and shows how involved you are. I’d be scared to get in a car with you, but I’d trust you with mostly anything else.

@Daniel Janser – You know in the Avatar movie, where there’s that big bird dinosaur thing that just cruises high in the sky without a worry because he’s so strong and well-respected? You’re the VHL version of that weird dinosaur bird. I mean this in the kindest, most respectful way possible. You’re an unstoppable force. Respect.

@Tate – I haven’t heard from you in a while but I found your podcasts to be super relatable – our kids are around the same age I think. Also really love your delivery of *PACIFIC* when reading the time. You’re a swell guy.

@jRuutu – You’re the resident pot-stirrer of the league, and that’s what I love about you. You really know how to get the people riled up and create some conversation. You raise interesting points, too. Thanks for keeping an eye on the people in charge for us.

Thanks for making the VHL a good place on the internet.

    S87 Vancouver Wolves Season Awards

Sadly, that time of season has come once again where we are ready to hand-out some team awards and after a very successful regular season the Vancouver Wolves fell four games to one to the Seattle Bears; a team that loaded up at the trade deadline and was always going to give teams concern. Vancouver cannot complain too much as they in similar fashion in season 86 when from Wildcard to Continental Cup Champions so since the Play-off are still on-going, we will wish Seattle Bears the best of luck repeating what we accomplished last season.

Awards are what we are really here for and this season we decided to get the team vote from some of the awards since it is always nice to hear what the team thinks and I think makes the awards a bit more special as they are coming from your peers. So let’s get the show started….

    Best defenseman:

This is one of the first awards that we sent to the team to vote; either way we would have a new winner of this award after the team traded away Biggie Cheese @a_Ferk to Warsaw Predators due to salary cap reason putting more pressure the newly former defensive core with Pierre Emile Bouchard @Gaikoku-hito and Jimmy MacElroy @Xflexz being asked to take a much bigger role on the back-end while it would be trial by fire for Rookie Jens Lekman @Bobcat. Tater Tottingham @Trunkxolotl brought much required depth to back-end at the trade deadline and has since resigned with the team through season 89 giving the team a solid core heading into the near future. Tater should have more of say in this award next season.

The best defenseman as voted by the team is:

    Rookie of the Year:

This season Vancouver Wolves had three Rookies making their VHL debuts, all three in very different roles and different positions making this a very interesting award to watch this season. Warr Kerr @VattghernCZ, highly thought of forward selected 9th overall in S86 draft, expected to play a large depth role with the team this past season. Jens Lekman @Bobcat, another S86 draft prospect was looked upon to secure the back-end beside second year defender Jimmy MacElroy @Xflexz and play in some key match-up throughout the season. Lastly, Jeremy Swayman @Agito came in as the back-up and possible future option in between the pipes for Vancouver Wolves moving forward; things haven`t turned out as planned when Swayman announced his retirement about half-way through the season.

The Rookie of the Year as voted by the team is:

    Unsung Hero:

Easily the hardest award to give out every season as it really comes down to who is playing a large role for the team but maybe might not really get the credit that they deserve. That made it easier to send the vote to the team and they also proved that this is a very hard award to pin point one player deserving of the award with six different players actually receiving votes for this award. So, before I actually announce the award I actually want to point out all six of these players for playing large role to even be consider for this award by their teams mates. Receiving Votes for this award were: Nezuko @Baozi, Brandt Fuhr @Tate, Jens Lekman @Bobcat, Henry Eagles @Greg_Di, Svatopluk Puk @Otaznik and Sergey Preobrazhensky @Bulduray_1.

Finally, the Unsung Hero Award is awarded to:

    Most Energetic:

Usually another very hard award to select and once again another award that I sent to the team this season to have the ultimate say. This award is usually is award for activity, character and activity around the team. Once again the team showed how hard this award can be to award as well since four different players received votes; Wann Kerr @VattghernCZ, Jens Lekman @Bobcat, Tater Tottingham @Trunkxolotland Dogwood Maple @dogwoodmaple.

This season Most Energetic award goes to:

    Most Valuable player:

    Last year’s winner was traded away to Warsaw Predators means we would have a new MVP and somehow this actually surprised me as I thought this season award winner had also won the award the last season; (in what was I think moment) but also shows how tough this award can be; at times to award. This is the last team voted award and only two players received votes this season as I think it was very clear from the very start of the season who would be our MVP this season so without much more waffling;

    The Vancouver Wolves MVP is:

    Little Wolf Award (Most Hits):

Now with all the team voted awards handed out we are straight into the stat awards and we start off with the player that lead the team in hits this past season; also just realized I actually haven`t even looked at these stats so it will also surprise me as much as everyone else so let me find my computer and find that stat sheets.

The winner of the Little Wolf Award (Most Hits) is:

    Sniper Award (Shooting percentage):

Every year this award seems to surprise me as usually this is a player that tends to produce a lot of goals compared to the number of shots directed at the net and maybe should be renamed Why don`t you shoot more Award since it also tends to be player that doesn`t lead the team in shots.

The winner of the Sniper Award is:

    QB Award (PP Assists):

Another award that where I haven`t checked the stats but I am going to guess that they team leaders in assist are going to high on this list so Pierre Emile Bouchard @Gaikoku-hito or defending QB Award winner Sergey Preobrazhensky @Bulduray_1 will win this award.

The Winner of the QB Award is:

    Tooth Fairy (PIM Award):

One of my favorite awards as it shows a player that is willing to throw their weight around to help the team in many different ways and last season, we had a tie for this award as Biggie Cheese @a_Ferk and Jimmy MacElroy @Xflexz took home the honors so who will be this season; any guess?

This season winner of the Tooth Fairy Award is none other than:

    Always responsible (Plus/Minus):

This award is actually very easy to hand out this season as the team leader also leads the league in this stat so without wasting much time; the Always responsible Award goes to:

    Oops Sorry Eh!! (Least hits)

Last season winner no longer with the team this season means we have a new winner and Lady Leduc has sadly been traded away as well so this will be anyone award to win other then Nezuko @Baozi as they already won the Little Wolf Award (Most hits) so since I haven`t looked yet; lets have a look see together:

Oops Sorry Eh!! Award this season goes to:

    It wasn`t me(Least PM):

Well, we know Pierre Emile Bouchard @Gaikoku-hito isn`t winning this award but who other than Henry Eagles @Greg_Di has a chance at this award since if I remember correctly he has won it two straight season since joining the Wolves. Well, Since I already looked, I can tell you it wasn`t him this time as he finished second.

So, the winner of It wasn`t me Award is:

Shoot the lights out (Most shots):

Goals usually come from the player that shoots the most and when I looked at the actually stats this become even more apparent as in direct order of goals scored on the team this season also follows who shot the puck the most this season so now that I gave away the winner if everyone has been follow all the award handed out so far so without wasting everyone time let’s call back to the stage:

    Work Horse Award (AMG):

The Work Horse Award is given to the player that plays the most minutes and has the biggest potential impact on the game than any other player and we would have all consider Pierre Emile Bouchard @Gaikoku-hito in the running until you seen his 172PIM so that then leave the question who actually won this award?

The Work Horse Award goes to:

    Common Coach (Least played):

This one as mentioned last season usually is a player down the depth chart or rookie joining the Wolves in their first season. Which wasn`t the case last season when Svatopluk Puk @Otaznik won the award so instead of me guessing and say anything else that won`t be correct and since I already have the answer; let award this award.

Common Coach Award is awarded to:

Bruised and Battered Award (SB Award):

Don`t think anyone will be surprised by the winner of this award since once again he is amongst the leaders of the league in the category but I will also like to mention the team overall blocked more shots this season up from 715 to 848 shots-blocked; meaning the team made it easier for Brandt Fuhr and Jeremy Swayman; right?

The Bruised and battered Award goes to:

    Three Star Award:

You would think I would learn to have this ready before I start these huge award shows but nope once again, I haven`t done any of the research so give a few minutes as at least I found an easier way to find the data now and I will be right back to hand out this award. Any guess as to whom will win this award? I am lean Brandt Fuhr or Nezuko but I could be wrong.

    Three Star Award goes to:

    Top Prospect Award:

Not sure how to actually award this award this season since we started the season with two prospects in Reese McFleury and Oreo McFleury but Vancouver Wolves management traded away one of the prospects just before the trade deadline to make room for an more experienced player and doing right by Reese by trading him to a team that he should make next season. So really this is a one-horse race now so lets look at both prospects seasons and give me time to consider if I should award this to a player possible traded to another team; I have done it in the past with Nico Pearce.

    Oreo McFleury
    @JB123
    72GP   37G – 41A – 78pts    15+/-     520SHT    55PIM     152Hits        19SB

Oreo McFleury is currently playing with Oslo Storm in the VHLE and was forth on the team in scoring this season with 78pts, third is goals and fifth in assists. Helped the team finish second in the VHLE standings during the regular season and has helped the team into the VHLE League finals against Cologne Express; who topped the VHLE this season. Currently leads Oslo in play-off goals (5) and points (9) in eight games.

    Reese McFleury @Spaz

Reese McFleury was playing with Istanbul Red Wolves in the VHLE and was 2nd on the team in scoring as defender with 76pts, 3rd in goals (25), 1st in assists (51). Istanbul finished sixth in the league missing the play-offs by two points to Vasteras Iron Eagles.

Based on the season in the VHLE there isn`t much really to choose between the two brothers other than teams they played for and position so in the end the choice is rather easy one:

Vancouver Wolves Top Prospect Award is given to:

    Final Thoughts:
It was a great season from start to finish but in the end, we came across a much-improved Seattle Bears team in the play-offs. It shows how close the league is at the moment when the fifth seeded team can beat the first seeded team but remember last season, we had the luck on our side when we were a Wildcard team and then went onto win the Continental Cup. We regroup and we make another run as we still have a very good core set for next season and beyond. Also remember we won the Victory Cup so we have two cups in back-to-back seasons; not an easy feat…

Let’s like our wounds and come back ready to fight again next season.

Bad times dont last, but bad guys do.

Congrats to the biggest heel of the vhl, @Tate. For not only winning the cup, but finally abandoning this league. I wish I had your courage.

Congrats to the rest of you too. Still haven't caught up to me.

    Season 86 Vancouver Wolves Awards

With the regular season ending just before Christmas and the wildcards being played, the team assistant manager was unavailable to write, produce and direct such a huge award show without facing the wrath of his wife. Frank is a bit more understanding but either way we are here to recognize some of the players that seen the Vancouver Wolves make the play-offs once again this season and are currently one win away from the Continental Cup finals. Vancouver Wolves season was an interesting one that seen the team trade away Nico Pearce; who last year took home majority of the awards, which mean we should have a bunch of new award winners. Enough of the faff as I shouldn`t need to add to my word count too much so let get on with the first award.

    Best defenseman:

Having not really checked the stats even as I start writing this as this has been a clear cut award for most of the season. This player lead the team in scoring with eighty-five points. Twenty goals and sixty-five assist and not mention also second best in plus/minus on the team. The best defenseman award for the second season in a row is awarded to:

    Rookie of the Year:

This season seen two rookies make the roster out of training camp with William Futch and Jimmy MacElory being these two rookies. After a long-awaited debut of this highly touted defensive defenseman and the trading away of the other rookie of the year candidate if should be to no one surprise that this season Rookie of the Year goes to:

    Unsung Hero

This is always one of the hardest awards to award as it really comes down to who I think played a huge role on the team but not get the credit that they deserved through the season. Last year the team was carried by Brandt Fuhr but a year removed he has really gotten a lot of love from the team so is he really still our unsung hero? This season Unsung Hero is:

    Most Energetic

This season has seen a drop off overall in locker room activity due sadly to the real life events surely effecting everyone ability to have a few minutes to chat since this has also been the case for myself over this busy holiday season but that hasn`t stopped a few members from at least from showing their faces on a regular basis and they add a lot of value to the team locker room. This season Most Energetic award goes to:

    Most Valuable player

Nico Pearce ran away with this award last year and this season I think it has been very clear since the trade deadline that Vancouver Wolves MVP has been:

    Little Wolf Award (Most Hits)

This award was lead for a very long time and would have been awarded to Nico Pearce as he had 129 hits in 32 games for Vancouver this season before being traded to Moscow. Only one player managed to catch him in the end; which is a bit shocking but the Little Wolf Award goes to:

    Sniper Award (Shooting percentage)

I have a feeling this award winner might surprise me since I haven`t looked at the final stats until the moment that I am writing this but I am guessing Biggie Cheese, Dogwood Maple or Henry Eagles will win this award this season so without much more faff the Sniper Award is awarded to:

    QB Award (PP Assists)

This award is the player that runs the powerplay and set his team mates up for the easy goals and like the Sniper Award once again I haven`t checked the stats until this moment. Okay, I have seen the results already and I am guessing this might surprise a few as it did me as well when I first seen the winner but stop and think about it for a few seconds!! Yup, he always seemed to be on the score sheet; right? That player is none other than:

    Tooth Fairy (PM Award)

Common theme here as I haven`t looked at the stats most of the past few weeks so I am guessing this might surprise me a bit as well but if I had to guess based on the leadership shown this season; I would place my bet that Biggie Cheese is amongst the finalist of this award. This award goes to the player that is usually ready and willing to stick their neck on the line for their team mates so without ado the Tooth Fairy Award goes to:

    Always responsible (Plus/Minus)

I have a feeling that this award won`t surprise many as they lead in this area last season as well and has been a huge factor in the team overall success this season and has already won a few awards during this Banquet and it only fitting that they are award this award again this season. The winner is:

    Oops Sorry Eh!! (Least hits)

Now onto some of the fun awards and something team mates look forward to every season as this award isn`t always something that you should be proud of since it will hang with you like an odor of sticky socks. Okay, I am delaying once again since I actually haven`t looked at the stats again so let look together and award the Oops Sorry Eh!! to:

    It wasn`t me(Least PM)

Henry Eagles won this award last season as rookie with limited ice time so one would assume that he will once again be in the running for this great award but can he hold onto the crown of the It wasn`t me award and the award goes to:

Shoot the lights out (Most shots)

Another award that I think will change hands this season after Nico Pearce was traded away so one might safely assume that Biggie Cheese will be a front runner? I don`t know once again as I haven`t looked at the stats so are we once again in for a surprise? The Shoot the Lights out is awarded to:

    Work Horse Award (AMG)

The Work Horse Award is given to the player that plays the most minutes and has the biggest potential impact on the game than any other player, I am not going to guess this time at the winner as I am almost 100% sure we all know who most likely has won this award. The winner is:

    Common Coach (Least played)
This season we have had a very balanced attack and depth through the line-up so this one might actually really surprise me as once again I haven`t checked the stats usually this tends to be a rookie or player down the depth charts a bit so without making my prediction and having be wrong again let’s just award this award. The winner is:

Bruised and Battered Award (SB Award)
I think I have mentioned who has lead this category a few times since they have won a few awards already and I am starting to run out of great things to say about this player like I did last season with Nico Pearce winning a majority of the awards. So the Brusied & Battered Award goes to:

    Three Star Award

Ugh!! I haven`t done any research into this award yet so give a hot minute and go get a drink from the back while I figure out the winner of this award. Okay, I am back from stat collecting for the Three Star Award and the eventual winner might not surprise anyone but I was happily surprised by who finished in second place as I hadn`t figured that they had that large of an impact on the season. Guess I wasn`t paying close enough attention. Either way, This season Three Star Award winner is:

    Top Prospect Award:

The last award of the night will take a look at the Vancouver Wolves prospects and like always it gives a bit of concern for management when the team has seven players in the prospect pool but as of writing only two are active so congratulation to the two players as you have a 50% chance of being our Top Prospect this year. So, that being said let’s look at the two prospects:

Wann Kerr @VattghernCZ – a small center that currently playing in his first season in the VHLE with Rome and really should be his last season playing in Rome as he clearly looks ready to join the Wolves next season after scoring 37 goals, 47 assists for 84pts. It was a slight drop off from his VHLM numbers but also against much stiffer competition. He led all Rome is scoring this season.

Jens Lekman @Bobcat– a big defence first defender, who also played his first season in the VHLE with Rome as team mate to Kerr. He will try to make the decision tough on the Wolves management this off season as he is right on the cusps of becoming a VHL rookie next season so it will be interesting to see what the player and the management decide for this player. Lekman had a very impressive season consider he is a defensive defenseman with 21 goals, 34 assists for 55 points.

Our Top Prospect this season is award to:

Finals thoughts: It was an up and down season with the team under performing at different points in the season but in the end making the play-off was the end goal. The team succeed in making the play-off and oh, boy has it been a ride since with Vancouver Wolves heading to the Continental Cup Finals against Prague Phantoms. In the end it has been a great season and hopefully the team can win the cup. Either way it has been a exciting season with breakout season for most of the players on the roster and the future continues to look bright for season to come in Vancouver!!

Congrats to all the players on making the finals and make it another great season.
