The problem partially comes from the fact games are not posted fast enough. I regularly goto the index to check scores because there are no game posts. I can imagine others doing the same.

Brampton, ON – We’re nearing the draft as team’s now address who’ll they can possibly draft. However, in a draft so mediocre we don’t know where everyone will go, but we have some knowledge where we can expect some players to go. Amidst all of the craziness that comes with the draft we’ve caught up with defenseman, Golden Jedtsson before practice.

“Brampton’s a top team in this league, how has it been playing for them?”

“It’s definitely great playing here and I’m glad that when I was traded from Moscow it was to Brampton rather than another team. Over here they’ve built a great team and I’m adjusting to the new location.”

"How’s it like here in Canada?”

“Amazing, there’s a Tim Horton’s everywhere I turn. I love their coffee and the roll up the rim is so fun.”

“How are you guys going to adjust to a tougher series?”

“No disrespect to the Minot Gladiators who we’re a worthy competitor, but the Oslo Storm aren’t our regular opponents. We’ve had an easier run despite it coming down to the wire against Wingaite and the Gladiators. However, I’m sure we’ll do fine in the series. Our coach is pushing us to work hard and we’ll do just that.”

The first two have come and gone and we've seen the Brampton Blades and the Oslo Storm each take a game so far. In game one, the Brampton Blades managed to come out on top with a 4-3 victory as Delicious and Wilcox handed it to the Storm. In game two, the Storm managed to strike taking it 5-3 in a very good effort from Kingma and Cola. The third game was a big one between these teams as the one game advantage in the series would be a nice comfort to have in the VHLM Finals (especially between these two explosive teams).

The third game of the series seen a lot of action and very few penalties which is a huge change compared to game one (9) and game two (8). The first period seen the Oslo Storm fly out of the gates and score a Power Play goal less than 6 minutes into the game. However, as the period grew later and later, they started to play tag with the goal scoring and managed to end the period at a 2-2 tie. The second period was very well played by the teams, although no one was able to capitalize on any good scoring chances. We go to the third period still tied at two. The next period is the biggest one of the series hands down!

Then the game ended the same, yet opposite way of how it started. With less than 6 minutes gone by in the first, the Oslo Storm started the game and with less than 6 to go in the third, the Brampton Blades managed to end it. The magic pair of Wilcox and delicious came streaking up the ice passing it back and forth until Wilcox gained control over the oppositions blue line. Wilcox made a nifty deke passed the Storm's defensive pairing and shoved it in front to an alone Vincenzo Valentini who roofed it upstairs on Coca Cola. Game over.

The Brampton Blades have taken the lead in the series, 2 games to 1, and are now riding with full confidence. Although out shot in game three 35-27, they received a huge effort from goaltender Blake Campbell who managed to turn all but 2 shots aside for a .943 SV%. Even though he may have got cheated for being one of the three stars of the game, we managed to catch up to him and talk about his teams and his performance during game 3 and the series.

"It always feels great to get the W, especially when you're the guy in net. For me, there's a lot of pressure to play good and play big. If we lose, or have trouble during a game, a lot of it's on me. If you don't have a guy you can have confidence in and depend on in net, you got a problem. Everyone has their offs game and throughout the season my numbers could have been stronger. It felt really good knowing that that strong performance was well rewarded. I felt good and things seemed to almost be in slow motion for me out there. Now we're up 2-1 and riding into game 4 with a good feeling. The boys have done great so far and we're finding ways to get the job done effectively. Now we need to carry this momentum into game 4.

Baozi reacted to Molholt in A.C. Savage, Out for Blood?
In a randomly selected lottery of players throughout the league, some foolish league officials rewarded A.C. Savage with 5M in VHL cash. This "reward" will likely bring about the destruction of the league itself.

A.C. Savage has toiled away this season with the league's best ever fighting ability, while no one has dared to drop the gloves with him. Well, no more. Savage will be compiling his 3M in the bank, the 5M reward and next season's 3M paycheck to purchase what the VHL calls a "TPE re-roll." It is essentially a mystical machine that allows a player to re-allocate his abilities. Real high-tech stuff. Savage is a phenomenal fighter, that won't be changing anytime soon. However, his sub-par abilities at basically every other facet of the game will be going down to pathetically miserable levels. He will instead be focusing his time on learning how to check players into oblivion, and will couple that with an intense strength regiment that will boost his overall bulk and ability to use it. Savage will be sporting these new traits:

    Fighting: 95
    Checking: 95
    Strength: 95

He will incite riots on the ice, both from opposing players and fans. He will hurt someone, perhaps kill someone - hopefully on a nightly basis. He will lead the league in fights, and he will not lose.

A.C. Savage isn't out for just blood, he's out for murder.

Note* Math was wrong, 5 more points to strength.

Note* He will use his remaining 1M not for charity, or any good cause, but instead to force the magazine to put his cold-blooded image on the cover, with an accompanying article detailing his feats.

I just wanted to point out that when people change strategies they fail to consider that the tactics change when up a goal or down a goal as well. Those options people rarely fiddle with but I've found they've had quite a bit of effect in managing brampton from the first year.

On another note, its been a fun ride here thus far and I know there are some tough decisions coming up in the off-season. Just business I'm sure.

Some kind words for us as always Miller. Though it'd be pretty hard to argue for an HoF career for me with only one award lol.

Constantly outplaying the storm if not for Coca Cola, we'll fair well against them in a 7 game series.

Its pretty neat how most franchises I've been to, have had little to no issues keeping me when I expressed that I'd like to stay long term with most of the teams I get drafted to.

I mean if we're talking about loyalty, most of the franchise I've been "loyal" to have continuously made the playoffs. I put a lot of credit of course on good GMing.

I know Chris had to put in a lot of thought to be able to keep me in NYA but then again Frank managed to keep a good core contending while I was in Davos as well and so on and so forth. I know he has spent the time crunching the numbers and that's how they made it fit.

So from experience alone, keeping a team of loyal players that want to stay can be challenging but not impossible. Obviously players will get moved but for the most part a core of players that want to stay and play well can generally be had without needing extra cap space as I've noticed currently.

On restructuring of contracts...well that's just bad cap management in the first place.

Blake Campbell after earning his first victory with the Minot Gladiators

Blake Campbell emerged into the VHLM later than most of his fellow juniors rivals, however, it didn't take him too long to find his groove within the league and make a name for himself. He was picked off waivers by the Minot Gladiators and although he received limited playing time, he managed to not let that bother him. In fact, lot's of scouts believe that his limited junior experience only caused him to push harder in order to reach the next level. His hard work, determination and sacrifice that he's made to the league and his personal improvement has been above average and because of that, he was a fairly good commodity when it was announced he was going to be a Free Agent when he was missed in this seasons junior dispersal draft. As expected, there was great interest around the young goalie. It's not often that you see a high up, active goalie Free Agent so when one comes along, you don't hesitate. Numerous offers came into the young goalie and his agent, however, only one team can be chosen. Now, without further delay, the announcement.

And the team that I will be playing with this season in the VHLM is..

    Why did I choose Brampton?

Brampton offers me a lot of the things I am looking for. Initially I wasn't too sure but that was only because I was fighting with my mind and heart about going to a team I really wanted to play for and to help out a team that was in need. I truly wish I could have been the guy that was willing to help, but this is likely my last season and as you know, my first one didn't go nowhere near how I wanted it to. I want to win and Brampton has a very nice set up going on. They have some nice forwards and some great defenders to help me out. I also noticed they have a decent goalie around the 90 TPE range. Although he's inactive, hopefully Brampton will be able to potentially move him for a piece or two and potentially help out a team in need.

How'd it feel to be taken 8th OV by the Stockholm Vikings?

It felt good to be a goalie and be chosen that high up in the draft. When it came to where I was heading on draft day, I was fairly certain on two teams and it looks like one of them chose me. I spoke to Boubabi prior to the draft day a fair amount and really got a feel for what Stockholm had in mind for their present and future. I am willing to work and continue my path towards becoming a starting goalie within the VHL. I am willing to put in the effort to show them I'm their #1 guy, that I can be their future and that I would love nothing more than to be a Viking for a long time to come. Once again, thank you so much for drafting me.

What's next for you (Blake Campbell)?

Currently I'm focusing on getting everything rounded out to 70. Agility, Rebound Control, Hand Speed and Size have now all hit that mark and I'm currently focusing my attention on how well I'm skating. I'm not the best skater and I think that's fairly important. However, I don't believe I'm going to work on this one all the way til 70. I might get it to 45 - 50 and then begin working on my reaction time which is also very low right now. I hope my works pays off and I can help Brampton make a strong run this season and hopefully come out on top!
