I think so, or at least it had a lot of traction TO be a thing. We had a member who went by Nagger (aka Laker12 aka James Platts, the man who the Welfare Program is named after). I don't know if this was a South Park reference or not, but whatever. Anyway, for all of my personal history in the league, his avatar was that of an iconic wolf. Thus, the iconic member and the iconic profile picture briefly drummed up popularity as its own team. To this day I'll still support the Seamen and the Naggerwolves. I don't know if I still have the wolf on file, but I do have a lovely graphic I made that features it...

I don't know why the filter didn't plague his entire article, and I also don't remember who was responsible for making it, but the context both amuses and dates me. This is because in whatever the aforementioned free doubles week (or whatever it was) thread, the OP probably said something like, "Just link this post and you'll get your TPE!" and everyone kept posting "Claimed" in the thread. At one point I said, "You know you guys don't have to post anything in this thread, you can just link the OP." So naturally everyone doubled down and started posting out of spite. So naturally I put a filter on "claim" to say "I like dicks." So naturally baby Devise isn't aware of any of this or anything else for that matter AND HE TOTALLY FALLS FOR IT LIKE A FUCKING CHUMP, AHAHAHA! Good times. Also, Miami's lines are fucked up because @InstantRockstar traded OUR BEST DANG PLAYER for picks.

I have a question actually. I could maybe scour the BOG for it, but is the 199 TPE VHLM cap a hard one? Or can one still update to 250 TPA during the VHLM season?

Maybe I'm on crack, but I understand that to mean that S79 ends, the off-season comes, VHLE does their draft, and is ready to play for the upcoming S80. I'm sure the ball will be rolling on teams and GMs and such soon, but that's two full seasons from now. I think if GMs were announced even by the end of this season that would be plenty of time to prepare. (Though maybe the trade deadline would be optimal timing because at that point forward, GMs will have an idea who is in the draft class)

The E is essentially a mid-tier competitive league, and is developmental in the sense that it gives fringe VHLers somewhere to play for a season or two. It won’t be competing drafts with the VHL. Vasteras of the E could draft 300 TPE Gary Oakenson in the S79 off-season, and have him for S80. The Calgary Wranglers can also draft Gary Oakenson that very same off-season, and they would probably be able to call him up after a season in Europe, in S81. It would be functionally the same as drafting a player who needs more time in the VHLM.
